Burial at sea was the worst shit I've ever played. It was awful in gameplay, design, and exploration. Complete and utter shit, short, worthless DLC.

It's all just a theme park too, you start out in Rapture and it's all spectacle, you think, WHOA LOOK HOW BIG IT IS CAN'T WAIT TO EXPLORE IT!" but there's nothing to explore, nothing to discover, just a bunch of npcs standing around in a corridor and you have to beeline to the first objective, and then the rest of it is in a small department store that all looks the same. It's complete and utter shit. The second episode is only SLIGHTLY better than the first because of some new mechanics, but the story is still shit.

So why is the first Bioshock the best according to people again? I just finished it and it was fucking trash, the gameplay was terrible, most weapons were inviable and even the most basic enemies were bullet sponges.

Now I'm playing Infinite and so far it's been way better, the gunplay actually feels good and I like the atmosphere more.

It really is impossible to talk about infinite on this board, which is a shame considering there is good stuff in it. The skyhook is a ton of fun, and that area mode is great. Not to mention, while infinite is lacking compared to 1 and 2, its still way more playable than most fps games coming out at the time.

Infinite had a faster pace, there was no need to fiddle around with ammo types, there's a reason almost no game uses that mechanic, even Team Fortress 2 excised it from the original.

They did, that's the point: sometimes you need to let go of the guns you like because you run out of ammo. It ramps up the tension in a gunfight.

Splicers had basically no variety save for the one that crawled on walls and were boring to fight, and only the big daddy with the drill was any fun to fight, the one with the grenade launcher was an irritating chore. And don't even get me started on the fucking Big Sister!
