You can tell because if you listen carefully, each note is the exact same sound but pitch shifted. Everything's identical, from the hit speed to the reverb.

I think what's missing is the direct comparison.
TP's music is all digital, so playing it live will naturally sound better. BOTW and LA's music is already recorded live, so any live performance won't necessarily sound better, just different.
