There wasn’t really one big bad though, the dude who seemed like he was turned it to be a cop out. Hades was just in the background as an explanation for why things went to shit, as was Ted Faro. The whole “uncovering the past” portions of gameplay were the best parts of HZD
Did that generic zombie game nobody asked for ever come out? Snoy showed it at E3 for like 3 years straight, and then I never heard anything again.
Days Gone? Yeah, it came out.
I dunno maybe they shouldn't reuse designs for an entire era?
WAKEY WAKEY
It did, and to it's credit managed to be more of a game then the other ones in OP's image.
>still being a Stevefag
Yikes...
Those were all instantly forgotten a week after coming out. They were just your average extremely safe samey looking western shit with 90% of the budget going to marketing and marking all the predictable checkboxes to appeal to as wide a population as ever. Once the marketing campaign dies after the game comes out and they've got your preorder money already, suddenly all talks about them ceases to exist. Rinse and repeat.
The ones who truly defined the gen were Witcher 3, Zelda, PUBG and Fortnite, all of which will still be talked about for years upon years on end. Everything else is just playing catchup. Also notable mentions to LoL and Minecraft, even though they came out during the former gen, but they are still as relevant as ever.
