It should've been delayed so they could make new assets and fix shit, the cutscenes look awful and I'm kind of disappointed that Jake Kaufman won't be returning. Jesus fuck why did they have to develop 5 games at the same time? And why are they giving their fucking mascot the least attention? Releasing the game on Apple Arcade and then saying "we'll have more details soon" is the shittiest thing I've seen them do. Fucking River City Girls has gotten way more news and attention than SatSS has gotten. The game will be a major flop if they don't start releasing more details about the game.

"Part 1" is only a thing because WF wanted the game to be playable for the Apple Arcade launch but didn't want to rush the entire game because they know the average Apple Arcade player isn't going to play through a 6-7+ hour metroidvania when there are 50 other games on the service at launch as well. The console versions are the complete game, and when that launches the AA version will update to include the rest of the game.

God the game just looks off. It looks like it was designed for mobile first. All the assets don't look like they 100% blend with the background properly. Also shantae's convo sprite just doesn't match with the overall game. And Shantae has less reaction images in the conversations than even HGH.

Because this game was literally announced a few months ago, and we didn't see anything about what the game looked like until a month ago. It's full of reused graphics and clashing aesthetics. The "TV-style" cutscenes (not the trigger opening) look like an illustrator trying to animate for the first time. This game is being rushed out the door. However people are going to eat it up anyways because they're gamers.
