So, I my game just freezes when I start a new game, I see a second of the intro and then nothing.
It's no crash but nothing happens.

It's almost definitely a flop, and a shame because it's probably Uchi's best and most refined work.

K, for those who click on spoilers carelessly, be warned I'm just gonna spoil the whole game now: The killer is indeed the person who originally owned Date's body, the congressman's son. The person currently inside Date's body is actually the real Falco/Prisoner 86. The Prisoner 86 in prison is actually the yakuza boss who committed suicide a year ago. The whole thing is the result of a Face/Off situation that went predictably south.

Killer kills by luring victims to the chemical factory where the killer has a prototype Psync machine, staying past the 6 minute limit to perform a body swap, and injecting their old body with a fuckton of sedatives so their new body has free reign to kill their victim, now trapped in their previous body, however they want. They remove the eye because the prototype Psync machine removes the eye to get to the brain through the optic nerve. It's supposed to be replaced after the Psync, but the killer just eats it with their new body after each kill.

The congressman. He's also in Iris' body for all the endings where Iris is "saved", which is why you never get to talk to her after the polar bear shows up. The real Iris actually died in the manager's body that got strung up. He kills Ota with a knife because Ota caught him driving in Iris' body, who doesn't know how to drive, which nearly got him caught.

Personally I think it's kamige but I dunno if that's gonna be true for everyone. There are a few moments of true Unity quality in the action scenes, and the porno mag running gag gets pretty stale, but it goes from humor to soul-shattering feels fast enough to compensate for its weaknesses.
