This meme asides, Dark Samus still deserves to be way more in than ZSS, especially when her AT in Smash 4 had pretty much all the actual interesting moves we were hoping for.
At least cut ZSS and put someone else like Sylux in it, for Metroid Prime 4 promotion.
Greninja did worse than Lucario in the most recent popularity polls. Incineroar isn't even a shill because Sakurai choosed it himself over every other Gen 7 Pokemon.

Just like they "replaced" Ness with Lucas? Or the heaps of FE characters? Just because a new game for a series comes out doesn't mean the old protag gets cut, next Smash will retain Shulk and add Rex or Nia.

And yet one is a full character and one is an echo. It doesn't matter who "deserves" it more, the devtme is spent. Sakurai didn't see DS worth to get her own moveset so there's no reason to expect he's going to change his mind when it took him a decade and a fucking fan ballot to finally put in Ridely.
