I don't use anything because fighting games are trash and a complete waste of time. The enjoyment you feel is strictly from the competition which can be found anywhere.

Etokki Omni with Myoungshin Fanta

all video games are a waste of time, fighting games and the competition around them are fun. eat shit.

lmao look at this dude

Shit opinion and ignores basic English. Name a more iconic duo.

I really want to buy a fight stick but the not digging any of the entry level/budget ones. Guess I'll need to break my wallet a bit.

make one yourself

>competition bad

literally low T

very small brain post. I am sorry you cannot enjoy the deep conversation two players can communicate in fighting games.

I started playing Soul Calibur 1 at the arcade because Sophitia made my 10 year old pp hard.

I still play Soul Calibur 6 with a stick just because it feels right but I'm not going pro or nothing. Of course I bought the official model.

only autistic tryhards do this

>using an arcade stick to play a game that was never in the arcade
I hope you don't do this.

Good thing I use pad for MK

I use keyboard. I swear to god I've tried using controllers but I can't even get a DP consistently on a stick and the Dpad sucks.

Razer Panthera usually, but since switching to PC I'v been using my old MC Fightstick Pro since it integrates with my PC much easier.

If you're still here, get the Razer Panthera. Literally the perfect stick:

> good weight, but not overbearing
> opens with the touch of a button, allowing you to easily customize the buttons, stick, gate, etc. plus you can store things in the stick (and it comes with a bat-top)
> sanwa parts obviously
> detachable cable

Only "bad" thing is you can't customize the artwork very easily, but the default art it comes with isn't bad.

>that juri stick in the back
What's CoreAGaming doing with these two.

Not having sex

My hands, I guess. What do you use, OP?

>I am sorry you cannot enjoy the deep conversation two players can communicate in fighting games.
never thought of it like that. well said

why my penus weanus of course

how hard is it to change the art? Going to grab one and didn’t bother changing my rap 4kai because didn’t want to fuck anything up also superb taste

No, she is my wife.

I use my switch pro controller. some people bring gamecube controllers and an adapter but I like the pro controller more

smash is not a fighting game

how do you do tilt moves with one of these like in smash? seems like you wouldn't be able to do any flicking moves either.

pretty easy I'd say.
Take off balltop and take out buttons
take off those screw covers
unscrew and replace the original plexi with a replacement plexi and artwork.

the lucky bastard

How do you define a fighting game?

is smash the only game compatible with the gamecube controller on switch?

low quality bait but here's your answer

A basic controller because I'm not a pretentious tryhard that takes video games overly seriously.

she's one of the top 100 players in the world

I use an xbox 360 controller but god damn I bet I'd be way better at these quarter circle motions I have to do with the analog stick if I had a fight stick on hand.

even your average 2 has orbiters

pad, generally. But I don't play fighting games that much, 0 local scene means I have no way to improve besides playing online which is terrible because I don't live in korea.

I mean, yeah, she isn't. I know a lot of dudes that get upset at the idea of losing to a girl, as if its any different than losing to a dude.

Got pic related since I've been craving it forever and enjoy it. Plan on modding it one of these days.

Yeah and "she" is a man.

people have a lot of issues with feminism these days but if there's one thing we can all get behind it's tekken girls

youtube.com/watch?v=UMEHa8udcVk

dude trannies! lmao

i hope a tranny rapes you, nigger

yuyu is not a man nor is she trans or anything like that

why are you idiots just a bunch of horny idiots. Girls can play real fighting games like Tekken and i could beat your all at it....

Man I don't think I'll ever truly "get" frames, which sucks.

yes

Look at the OP.

I agree, it is on the person to get over themselves. It's a shame that people would try to push people out of a community/hobby just cause they're uncomfortable with the idea of "losing" to them

>Every woman is a tranny because Yea Forums won't shut up about them
Jesus, fuck this place.

have this and its great. wasn't a fan of hori's proprietary parts but after replacing them it's the only stick i'd ever use

my secret fantasy is to get bodied by yuyu on stream

>i hope a tranny rapes you, nigger
cant you STOP thinking about tranny rape for 1 second?

If it is against a chick i use my dick and win

My benis

In seriousness, I just play on a regular DS4. I've tried using a fightstick and I'm not unopposed to trying it again but it seems to offer me now real advantage in any of the games that I play. I've thought about picking it up for Menat in SFV but I can probably learn her on pad so it's whatever.

Who is that on the right?

the internet has broken your brain

bro stop exposing me

i would but the idea of being fucked by the very thing you're afraid of is very amusing

I have a Qanba Crystal that I got a good deal from ordering from Walmart.

I just ordered this stick. How much of a pain in the ass was it to swap art? It was the only drawback for this stick.

Based

Yo I have that and modded it.
The you need to take out the clear shit cause they used fucking glue to attach it to the metal but mine came off pretty easy. Still need to buy my buttons though.

Try this
youtube.com/watch?v=_R0hbe8HZj0

no one is afraid of trannies except literall children, people just hate them

stick/pad/hitbox all have pros/cons and whatever feels most natural and fun to you is always best. i used to play on pad but i switched to stick just because i think it's more fun to slap the big buttons.

Yet you're so paranoid that you call everything a tranny despite zero evidence but being conditioned by Yea Forums

+ is good
- is bad
there you go

I'm pretty shit on it. NGX stickboard is even worse. Playing on Kawaks (PC) + keyboard is way easier.

Attached: dims.jpg (619x412, 55K)

8bitdo m30

When you block something that's -X you can punish with any move that comes out in less than X frames

whats wrong with schrödinger's tranny? its not my fault women like baily jay or jazz jennings make trannyism extrememly hard to differentiate between real women, thats why i fap exclusively to 2D

I'm still learning my ways, so this is enough for me. 50 hours in SFV, having fun.

lmfao

A 7-years-old ASUS monitor and a PS3 Madcatz fightstick (pic related). Since i play on Steam, i don't need an adapter, but i have a PS3/PS4 Brook converter if i play on PS4.

Tourney fags are the worst.

You may be retarded, but you're alright with me for being 2Dpilled

Only advantage is being able to play in arcades

>incel
im actually a wizard in training, preparing for powers beyond mortal comprehension

based, I use that stick

kind of explained here but 6:40 in this video does a good job explaining it youtube.com/watch?v=NCzo8QgpDWc

Doesn't that mean I have to memorise the X for every move in the game?

>playing metal slug 4 on winkawaks with my model M
god damn thems was the days.

Pad, because why would I use a way bigger and less manageable stick when I can have all the buttons I need within a 1.5" diameter circle? Also, pads are louder so when you're playing with buddies you can often hear them input shit before anything happens onscreen and you can react

My local scene is two hours away

Yeah I used to think I was missing something by playing on pad but honestly, it works just fine for me and most modern fighting games are designed to be pad friendly anyhow.

I don't play fighting games. No offense, but I don't have the time or patience to sit there and learn how to do a dozen different moves and a bunch of different combos for three dozen characters just to even be able to play the game. That's not even getting good.

Like imagine if it took hours and hours to be able to fucking jump in Mario games. I get it. The moves are "balanced around the inputs" or whatever, but these games will continue to be niche unless the controls become intuitive. And there's a difference between "simple" and "intuitive" for anyone who gets butthurt and thinks I'm advocating for casualizing the games.

come back mad catz

Attached: DkoW16gXcAEXA94.jpg large.jpg (2048x1536, 577K)

I got some shitty budget stick modded with sanwa parts for 50 bucks on ebay, just look around for a good deal.

I see Hori Rap 4s for $100 on ebay pretty often and those are great sticks.

Oh boy, it's this retard again.
Reminder that being able to jump in Mario games is the same as being able to simply punch, kick, jump, and block in fighting games. Your comparison is incorrect.

You get a general feel for it. You have your go to punishes and learn the most common moves of each enemy character over time. At least in Tekken, even though there's a hundred moves per character the vast majority are unused or only used in combos because they're obviously unsafe.

You're wrong because you won't beat anyone in any fighting game who actually knows how to play with just punches, kicks, jumping, and blocking. Being able to perform all of the moves and stringing together basic combos are part of the barrier of entry for fighting games.

If I can run and jump in Mario games then I can learn how to do it effectively and learn the mechanics of the game to move on. So yes, it is a fair comparison.

With a noose around your neck you smelly motherfucker

Honestly I find it easier to understand frame data in a game like Street Fighter but I struggle with it in Tekken because the game is just so fast and sometimes it feels like people like Steve or Hwoarang just have no punishable moves even though they're throwing shit out like crazy.

>If I can run and jump in Mario games, then I can learn to do it effectively-
Well, learning the moves/combos is learning enemy patterns and getting a feel for momentum and jump angles. So no, it's not a fair comparison. Imagine the tricky jumps in the 3D Marios as the special moves/combos of fighting games.

A pad, because I don't go for competitions, it is something I can carry around easily and in the few situations where I play against other people they are using pads.

Except in Mario once I'm able to run and jump and crouch or whatever I need to do then I already have all of the tools necessary to "get good" and learn enemy patterns, etc. As long as I understand the basic controls then there's nothing stopping me from advancing and learning more advanced shit like the physics of the game or enemy patterns, you know, as I fucking play the game.

In fighting games despite knowing the basic controls you still can't do anything worthwhile because you're forced to memorize all moves for all characters, combos, etc. There's no "getting good" at this stage because you don't even know how to do anything that the game requires you to do still. And a lot of these skills are very rarely even taught in-game.

I don't think we want it to be anything more than niche. Difficult inputs will never be mainstream, but they're part of the glamor of fighting games. Once I climbed hard as hell input barriers I felt like a god, pulling something off after working on it for weeks feels really cool.

>you're forced to memorize all moves for all characters
That's not true. You're only "forced" to recognize properties. All moves behave in very certain ways. Overheads, projectiles, dashes, grabs. Once you can tell which it is, you apply what you know and defend properly. You don't need to learn combos to win, either. I'm a Tekken 7 newbie and I hardly do any juggling. I'm just pretty good at blocking, backdashing, and punishing with big damage attacks, and that's a very combo centric game compared to something like Street Fighter.
>And a lot of these skills are very rarely taught in-game
Plenty of fighting games have tutorials. UNIST especially has an EXCELLENT one that goes over everything you would ever need to know about not just that one game, but the genre as a whole.

Look at it this way. Fighting games just have more steps to "getting good". If getting to the higher level of fighting games wasn't hard there would be nothing special about it.

Soulcalibur's girls in general make me buy all the games but somehow the gameplay has made me stay. In contrast to DOA which also made my pp hard but that fighting is clunky and unsatisfying

I learn some characters on pad, some on stick. So I can play both if I'm at a friend's place or the rare time I go to an arcade. Prefer the stick though so my mains are on that

>The enjoyment you feel is strictly from the competition which can be found anywhere.

So can't this line of reasoning be used against literally any genre of game?

yuyu

Use a Qanba Drone with Sanwa parts in it.

Qanba Dragon > Hori Fighting Edge > Qanba Obsidian > Hori Rap 4Kai

I like the edge more with it's button layout.

I really don't understand the point of the Cross Up, it looks incredibly awkward to use.

its for dirty cheaters that want to be dirty cheaters but still suck like 90% of people that use hitbox

No, I know. That guy asked in general, though. I was kind of looking more specifically for the Dragon because I heard it was a pain in the ass. I'll just fiddle with it once it arrives.

Thanks for link anyway.

Fucking lmao it isn't that hard

Why do actual women only play 3d fighters?

Attached: 1552154340559.jpg (1024x767, 112K)

I noticed you only said 3D fighters, not even fighters in general. Are there really no notable women in Street fighter or smash if you consider it one?

Gamepad

Also who here suckin ass at 3S on fightcade ? it ain't easy to be a new Q player on that shit

Not him but there are women in other games but definitely not as notable in other games. SFV has some real hard competition but there are a few but the big thing is how well they place consistently, tekken has more of them place well (cuddlecore, tanukana, yuyu, mimi), soul caliber has kayane and nobody considers smash

it functions in any game that supports the pro controller, with varying degrees of playability from the missing buttons and different layout, but AFAIK smash is the only game with vibration and button prompts for it

BASED!!!

your comparision of mario and a fighting games doesn't work because you're comparing a single player game against a versus game.

sauce?

I have 200 wins and im still in fucking blue ranks in tekken.

I'm probably going to use a keyboard or buy a Hori Hip-hop. I'm taking a break though since all of the games I've played are getting new versions soon.

Oh wow I didn't know it was already over.

Means you're gimmicky and not learning. Try finding a person who whups you and playing long sets with them. Focus on whiff punishing.
