my guess is that Fighters Pass is third party only and post-Pass has Nintendo characters. Sakurai said "game worlds" implying new games and IPs not represented in Smash

it's like every new FE lord or the newest Pokemon getting in
the game is good but I'd prefer something with sequels and history instead of just being the latest big thing
