DEATH STRANDING FAST TRAVEL CONFIRMED

I was worried always having to walk around could get monotonous after some time, but it looks like fast travel is confirmed.

Yep, this will be GOTY

not all fast travel is created equal

>walking simulator
>give ability to skip the walking
why can't this fag just fuck off to fail in movies already?

I believe you will have to walk to a place at least once in the game in order to turn that area available for fast travel. You can use trucks and motorcycles too if you want, this is literally MGS V but with a focus on cargo delivery and handling supernatural beings/terrorists that do not want the world to become one again.

>he didn't preorder
Enjoy watching walkthrough alone trollfags

Attached: 13123.png (1904x1072, 1.26M)

This is good for people who have kids to deal with and don't have any time, but I am no plebeian. I will never fast travel.

Death Stranding confirmed for ripping off Skyrim

>watching walkthroughs
Who the fuck does that. Sounds sad.

I don't know, it will get tedious with the amount of side quests the game will have, that is in fact one of the worries I had about it. God I remember how RDR 2 was tedious for me given how far everything was.

Attached: mads2.png (1911x973, 1.16M)

>caring about the game at all

I didn't find RDR2 tedious once because there was always something different or new happening no matter where you were or how long you played for. I won't find travelling tedious in this game because of the beautiful environments and mechanics designed to make it require thought.

Thank God for that.

Death Stranding is my favorite game of all time and I haven’t even played it

RDR2 actually has a designed game world, it has characters living in it, the pacing of that game may not be for everybody but at least Rockstar did a ton of work to create a world that felt alive.

DS is just big empty nothing. It's not a good thing.

This level of autism will make the game worth playing.

Attached: Death Stranding Cargo 2.webm (1280x720, 2.88M)

Okay, fags.
Explain to me how this isn't the same as those proverbial Sony first party third person open world games.

Attached: DS - Cargo Menu EN.jpg (1920x1080, 848K)

the UI literally looks like the MGSV, fucking uninspired hack I hope this game bombs, no wonder the best metal gear game, MGR, didn't have him to ruin it

We better get the fucking Ludens suit to wear

Another open world game ruined before it was even out.

Shut up, Todd

I never Fast Traveled in W3 (unless it was between zones) and the game felt a lot more comfy for itb

It is MGS V but actually finished plus supernatural shit, has a ton of gameplay compared to other Snoy shit

Did you take years to finish It?

From what I've played of open world games, the focus of the game is usually quests which are triggered at specifics points of the world, and the open world is just a way for the player to fool around and usually pick what he wants to do next easily. In DS the focus of the game seems to be the open world itself and how you pass through it.

I think it's pretentious as fuck to call it a new genre but it's an interesting premise.

my gf did the same thing, it's cute how she does things like that to better immerse herself

>RDR2 actually has a designed game world
Every game that isn't procedurally generated has a "designed game world".

>big empty nothing
Nice buzzword. DS' world is desolate for the most part because of extreme living conditions. It's a post-apocalypse and nothing like RDR. You still find human enemies in outposts and otherworldly creatures.
The entire world itself is a playground given how the mechanics are interwoven and every slight change in the terrain can matter, which affects your balance, the durability of your equipment and the tools you use to traverse it.

You even get multiple vehicles, Kojima is such a fucking hack he cant even make a walking simulator properly.

Metal Gear had fast travel. What's the gripe?

People excited for this glorified postman simulator from hideo hackjima

Because those are quite different from each other in the first place.

>eurgh! can you imagine this fucking hack is putting mechanics in his game that don't make it a walking simulator??

The more things come out from the translations the more I get hype, the premises are crazy.

>walking simulator
>force the player to fight enemies and complete objectives
kinda sick of this shit kojima

So the main cities named (name) Knot City are supposedly 16? Shortened to K1 K2 K3 etc

Attached: main cities.png (863x420, 771K)

>being this level of pleb
MGS1 was the best MGS, brainlet zoomer

And I guess K5 was destroyed.

Attached: k5.png (865x439, 685K)

He said you can choose to go through areas with enemies or deal with terrain.

>knot city
owo

Maybe Central Knot City. They mentioned in the Briefing scene that the Homo Demens caused a voidout there.

>help the daughter of the former president to inherit the position

>has a transhuman program that consists of using babies as ghost detectors by inducing coma in mothers.

Is he making a point about someone?

Attached: 1568786972374.jpg (610x592, 39K)

So this game is basically a FedEx simulator with combat?

Attached: 1554603559505.gif (700x500, 15K)

he now invented the fast travel simulator

sure

Basically.

>HAHAHA IT'S A WALKING SIMULATOR
>W-WAIT IT HAS FAST TRAVEL?
>NOOOOOOOOO MY NARRATIVE IS GONE!

Fast travel included in a walking sim doesn't make it less of a walking sim.

Could be.
Also noticed that the numbers after K are not in order cause Port Knot City(K3) is the fifth knot from east to west.

Attached: k3.png (607x325, 327K)

Yeah, basically. It started development as a UPS simulator but they wanted the player to actually be able to deliver packages successfully.

Imagine being this mad for a video game.

>I-IT'S STILL A WALKING SIMULATOR!
keep coping

isnt walking the majority of the gameplay? so... there is no gameplay?

so just like every walking simulator

ikr, shitposters are mad as fuck LOL

What other ones do this shit? This hack Kojima is making a fucking walking sim but insisting on putting all these bullshit mechanics into it like fighting enemies and using vehicles instead of walking. Like wtf? This is supposed to be a WALKING SIM and you show off a fucking bike in your first gameplay footage? Hackjima does it again.

>kojimbo so lazy that cities have 0 npc
>the excuse is that porters aint allowed to enter cities
(lol

There is but you can skip it.

Bet you feel smart lmao

skipping the game play with fast travel tho.

The world is going to feel so dead, the only thing that brings any life into it is the objects that other players brings into the world, but that hardly makes it feel like a real space.

Kojima is making the same exact mistake as he did with MGSV, he's separating the two worlds, the cinematic and mission world with the game world, it's so retarded, the place where Sam lives is literally a bunker disconnected from everything else, you don't go there by foot, you enter an elevator and watch a cutscene as you suddenly find yourself sitting on a bed that you can't move from, only interact with objects around you, it's the chopper from MGSV again, there's no actual base to walk around inside and interact with, no npcs to interact with outside of the prepper people that are fucking holograms and every time you meet them it plays the same cutscene every time.

Meh.

>same cutscene every time
Don't know if it was you or a different user but I saw someone say this verbatim just the other day. What cutscene are you referring to? Is it like a 5 second cutscene where he loads up something into the prepper person's base?

I can't wait to deliver a package to Keanu Reeves or El Gordo and get a cinematic!

Attached: 1568081410394.jpg (554x439, 55K)

Same lol

Yes. and when he starts to levitate as he puts in those usb sticks.

Okay, yeah that would be annoying if it plays every time, but Sam looks around confused when it happens. It seems like an unusual occurrence.

we've already seen it happen 2 times, so there's no reason to assume it wouldn't play out every time he delivers one of those packages.

Sam's reaction is different in those two cutscenes. It's pretty obvious that this is something that will have more significance in-game. It's not like they are literally showing the exact same cutscene every time.

Putting up with Sam's room is going to get real annoying 15 hours into the game seeing as how after every action you perform in it, it resets with him sitting on the bed, and it's not like it's a hard reset, you literally have to watch him get back on bed every time.

That's the point. Kojima's said many times that it's supposed to be a very lonely game, it's just you making a journey across a barren world with some help from other players. If you want a typical open world game with cities full of people to interact with then play one of them. This isn't trying to be that kind of game and neither was MGSV.

The chiral network they run is also very invasive as far as privacy goes, at least from an interview statement he made. I feel like this is going to be a game about making friends with the other Sams because all of the factions are retarded.

>Can customize loadouts which will determine your mobility
>Longer trips will want you to take more shit, but will be longer
>However if you don't pack enough shit, you're going around chasms and mountains instead of over and up them
I'm getting hyped guys

The game is literally about connecting people and making the country whole again, how the fuck do you do that if there's no fucking people in it?

There's people, but they live underground.

Can't freaking wait. Have been avoiding all the latest gameplay videos and as much info as possible. Normally don't mind information and videos these days because there's often so much to see, but this looks like something I want to get lost in.

Those wide open expanses, traversing in a fun but believable way (in terms of in game logic), the loneliness and emptiness that let's you focus on the mission but also just let your mind wander. I know alot of people are calling it a walking simulator but, taking that seriously for a second, it's a walking simulator done well. Not some walking around in a house reading notes, or walking down shooting gallery corridors, but one where you're genuinely exploring the world. Miss those feelings of not being dragged everywhere by markers, or having tons of useless filler to make the world feel "real", or enjoying the journey as much as the end points.

Won't read what others have written in this thread, but can't fucking wait bros. Those of you who are hype, you just have to wait a little longer. Those of you who don't like it, that's cool too, it might not be your type of game.

Just to clarify, Its call fragile jump in the game and the thing in the wall looks like fragile´s umbrella so apparently she teleports.

if you wont read what others h ave to say its wrong to use a discussion board. looking forward to this game myself, but this was a bit of a dick thing to post.

Connecting the US is just the first chapter.

The ending will feature ludens. Ludens is just a robot body with a removable human head. This was accidentally leaked years ago.

So the backpack floats when you take it off
Why the fuck even make it a backpack
Just make a little hover sled with a leash
The game better address this

Attached: 4L_BRDg1aB9.jpg (770x434, 27K)

>I won't find travelling tedious in this game because of the beautiful environments and mechanics designed to make it require thought.
same can be said for RDR

Am I your gf? I do the same thing, just walking around in most of the open games, trying to find comfy spots, maybe even sit down and just enjoy the zone. What is the point of playing the game if you just want to skip it?

Attached: 1486023140061.jpg (500x556, 177K)

Don't make me hope for it user. I can't survive another chapter 3. I still miss it...

>kojimer

Third times the charm, right bros?

Can PS4 games be datamined? He supposedly didn't allow it on pc because he got butt hurt over gz getting datamined

fast travel kill immersion

Really? Do you have source on that? Kojima fears the hacker.

The demo gameplay literally says it is during chapter 2.

>Do you have source on that?
Oh you.

>connecting America is chapter 2
Then what's chapter one?

Have any of the 50 trailers explained what nuked the middle of the US yet?

Extremist suicide bombers is implied.

probably norman reedus's slice of life or something like ground zeroes to sell you on the setting.

The "game" itself is basically a walkthrough too though

Chapter 1 is before joining Bridges. Trailers include meeting Fragile, the convoy explosion and meeting Amelie in the White House. It ends when you join Bridges and start Chapter 2 seen in the demo and the various character spotlights.

Nah man, Kojima is fucked.

Attached: 1568792931258.jpg (1080x1442, 324K)

And chapter 2 includes at least K3. K5 was destroyed and may be the chapter end. Or the west coast may be the end.

I am still pretty sure kojima is hiding half the game of what happens when you die.

Where in real America is Port Knot City?

i imagine wearing your gear keeps it safer right? its utility vs protection

I do wonder if you can spend as much time in Hades exploring as you do in the main living world.

They are libertarian extremists cells against the whole UCA-Clinton agenda of reconstruct the country.

Attached: 1568675244902.jpg (800x600, 46K)

He has not shown nothing of Higgs, Cliff and Hades.

aka the heroes

With Sam ordered to go west, I wonder if this game will have something parallel to old Chinese story Journey to the West.

Journey to the West ends with him realizing he is standing in the giant hand if god right?

Considering that the chiral network is basically a survillance system, I believe this. If I am right, the game is going to make a very hard question to the player

>Reconstruct the country and make it a NSA System of control
>Let the things as the malthusian Miyazaki patchwork that actually it is the north american soil

Attached: EBpMigzUcAAWLtj.png (570x570, 601K)

>hey here`s a game about walking
>you can skip walking if you want tho
BRAVO Kojima

Attached: Pp4a8li.png (894x894, 473K)

>FedEx simulator
Kinda hyped to be frank

What's the last game that caused this amount of nonstop seething on this board prior to its release?

Attached: the-boys-trailer-screenshot-jpg.jpg (650x360, 59K)

Hyperhuman sounds pretty nice.

I don't know, depends on what version you read/watch I think. The basic premise is the monk was told to get the sutra (knowledge) at the end of journey. Sam instead was told to spread the connection (in a way, also knowledge) along the way, before he picks up Marie at the end.

Interesting connection, I'd say. Assuming there is one.

Breath of the Wild

[Insert Nintendo first party title here]

I thought it begins with Monkey King mocking Buddha and Buddha challenging him to escape his palm. He jumps off easily and the story happens but at the end he sees 5 giant pillars at his destination and realizes they are the fingers of Buddha and he has been in his palm the entire time.

sounds kino

That's Monkey King's backstory. I can understand the confusion though, he's like the most famous and interesting character in the whole story while not being THE main protagonist.

Attached: file.png (749x423, 548K)

>haha i will be in control of my walking sim while you just watch other control their walking sim.
:)

I see. Aside from the obvious west and the hand. Does the game have any other parallels?

You know. For all the shit plot, cringy product placement, and Kojima celeb fuck party, I think after watching the last couple of demonstrations I finally get it, and that I want it.I'm pretty sure the plot will be shit, but the gameplay elements, trying to manage your abilities with your cargo's frailty, to chart a course and consider the paths of those that came before, and all that sort of things will be something I actually enjoy.

Wait, the five giant pillars was a plot point in Control.

Did Sam Lake just Kojimbo us?

How? It's just a rebranding of fetch quest

Picrelated

Attached: Screenshot_20190918-141905.png (2560x1440, 1.63M)

I wonder if Kojima is mad enough to add suicide vests in-game.

Same. Didn't use it in BotW either.

I don't really get people who say that. I play fucking Euro and American Truck sim for 5 hour sessions on an almost daily basis, and so do million of other autistic Europeans.

I want it asap

Imagine starting a post with imagine like some dumb reddit fag lmaooo

Seething CDPR drone

Soft underrated

>hehe i'm hyped bruh! kojima is kino!
I hope you get cancer and die you fucking retard. you're a literal brain dead retard

>PT did the same thing
>nobody knew what to do or how to progress
>Kojima wanted the community to come together to figure it out
>some girl accidently solved the demo the first day

I am excited to deliver packages to celebrities that I recognize

>walking simulator
>have to walk across the entire Continental United States of the USA

i hope it's not to scale because this will take forever

Attached: physical-us-map.png (988x623, 644K)

i was thinking
>it's just walking simulator the game
and then i realise how many people play fucking truck simulator
this will be a huge piece of shit

>start game
>I'm already having fun
KOJIMAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

The thing about Journey's getting knowledge and this game's spreading knowledge, I guess. Aside from that, nada, as far as I know. The real REAL story kinda blends with the legend and modern interpretation(s), so it's kind of hard. Maybe there are some similarities between Marie and Buddha who tasked Sam and Xuanzang/Tang Sanzang (the monk), respectively, but I'm basically pulling shit from my ass here.

You can read it yourself about Journey here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journey_to_the_West.

Be careful of what you wish mate.

Attached: IaiR2aS.jpg (628x248, 18K)

Even though I've never played them, I think I finally get those games. I recently Platinum'd a ton of games back to back and the only one on which I look back fondly of them all is MGSV. Ratchet and Clank, UC4, God of War 3, a whole bunch of other games just felt like shit. MGSV, though, I loved getting lost in that game. It's wild because when I started out, it seemed like it'd be extremely tedious as I checked the requirements for the Platinum before I started it. But it was absolutely worth it. It's the perfect counterpart to intense platinums like sekiro and bloodborne. Okami kind of came close but the save system and missable item bullshit forced me to waste 20 more hours on it than were necessary.
Can't wait for DS so I can chill out and play some comfy traversal challenges while drinking warm milk as it snows.

>MGR
>not twin snakes
close but still so far

>literally admits it's an open-world game
LMAO

i will prob buy this if it doesnt require PS+

>game about walking
>you can skip the walking
so it's a movie

Kojima is in Control.

the game is gonna come out in a month or so and so far what we know about the gameply is just you walk around an empty world delevering mails and fighting enemies in a generic third person shooter gameplay like any other third person open world games??
seriously name one (1) valid reason you are hyped for this game other than the fact that ((he)) is making it?

Attached: 1568291441450.jpg (800x563, 47K)

It doesn't. Or at least Sony doesn't say it does anywhere. Sony better not try and sneak it in there.

You missed the part with the giant titans and layers of hell that are recognized as dimensions

I am roughly 75% sure Sam Lake will appear in Death Stranding.

As far as I can tell, the land of the dead comes in 3 forms. The war world, the underwater world and the beach.
I wonder how all that works

Sharing my ID to play the co-op with V.
