I absolutely hate crafting in MMORPGs. I like enchanting and upgrading weapons, but I hate when you can craft your own gear.

why does it matter whenever you can craft anything? I thought your issue was that crafting your own gear is better than the loot you can find, which isn't a thing in any successful mmorpg

Crafting being the main source of gear is one thing, but I think having diverse sources of gear is just fun in general. For example, WoW: TBC has extremely potent starter gear and untradable profession-exclusive best-in-slot pieces in the final patch, but most gearing is done through other avenues, and I think that's just the right balance.
