Only because you're playing lions, the other routes aren't quite as strong except deer

Whats the appeal of PoR specifically? I played it a few years ago and didn't really think it was anything extraordinary.

correct

Attached: 1568426237124.png (862x414, 592K)

It's been 15 years I don't really remember except that I liked the art, the writing of the dialogue and the characters' personalities.
I completely lost interest with Awakening which I found 100% cringey. Three Houses is the revival of the Fire Emblem that I like. Dimitri's transformation into Big Boss is insanely gripping.

What exactly is Ferdinand thinking about here?

I'm glad I randomly chose Black Eagles cuz the rosters in other teams are pretty ass, character wise

About how Bernie's bernies taste.

Black Eagles have objectively the worst roster though. Linhardt is boring, Bernie's screeching gets old fast, Caspar is a meme, and Edelgard is the least likable of the lords. Only good characters they have is Petra, Ferdie and Dorothea

You're joking.

>forgetting based Hubert

Attached: NoSothisNo.jpg (1280x720, 263K)

Deer fucking sucks, it's a snooze fest and none of the characters have any meaningful interactions with each other or the plot except Claude and Lysithea. I bought this game on launch and have only been playing deer and am only on chapter 18 because it's so boring it feels like a chore to play

Hubert's pretty good. Not as good as my boy Dedue or the giga-Stacy Hilda though.

Now hold on a minute, Linhardt is actually great when you get to know him. Also he's my bf so don't be rude

>he's my bf
you're a cuck, he's busy pumping babies into Flayn

Fuck off with your censored game.

Christ THIS one got censored too? What did they do

I'll cancel my order

>: I'll slice you into a thousand pieces as you watch in horror… you will know true pain before I finally allow you to die!
Dimitri is best boy.

corrected a translation mistake

They changed a line in Bernie's support to be more like the original japanese

I'd argue he's a different kind of good

Absolutely not, Linhardt is not for incest Also I meant that my bf is basically Linhardt

they changed one piece of dialogue that bernadette had. Instead of saying "he tied me to a chair all day in order to train me to be a submissive wife" they said good wife.

>Dimitri almost went full Elric

Attached: RCO018_1495508011.jpg (990x1522, 404K)

>Claude never mentions tenure while calling you 'teach'
Missed opportunity desu

Attached: 1566224569669.jpg (1024x721, 129K)

I adore Dimitri's well-intentioned edginess. His lines to Edelgard at Gronder field are probably my favourite in the game.

>heal Dimitri
>WASTED EFFORT

Attached: 1567539860889.jpg (810x836, 94K)

Haven't gotten that far yet but I'm looking forward to more. I just got done beating that dude who sent Byleth to the shadow realm. I like that Dimitri goes above and beyond for the sake of your revenge. He's a true bro

Oh damn, if that's how far through you are then abandon thread pronto and come back in a few chapters.

VW is carried entirely by the characters because the story is a subplot with all the info dumped onto you during the last two chapters.

Attached: 1567377863832.gif (680x312, 222K)

It's okay. I've actually managed to avoid quite a lot of spoilers. I mean there's one big one I know about Rhea, but I already expected as much because something about her seemed very strange
Damn. I can understand why he wants to do that though. Guy literally tortured and killed his family

>Path of Radiance
>good

Attached: 1371293033804.jpg (316x470, 27K)

Dude, no, the big spoilers are the ones still to come, and they are both very imminent in your game and very likely to come up here.

Awakening and Birthright are the best FE games.

>look up and see how much Path of Radiance is going for now of days
>used copies go for around 180-200 bucks

Thank God it emulates alright.

Huh. Well maybe I'll take your advice then. If there's something even bigger than the truth about Rhea, I should avoid it.

quiet you

I'm just happy I still have my copy. Fuck scalper Jews.

So I'm done with Blue Lions but I feel like I missed a paralogue or support conversation somewhere because I don't follow Dimitri's logic for why he blames Duscur on Edelgard. But if Edelgard was a kid like him when it happened, then presumably she had nothing to do with it?

Attached: 75b4a9114fb4f02.jpg (227x222, 11K)

Characters and story are pretty good, especially compared to past games.

I love that his battle dialogue changes after Dimitri is emotionally healed.
>I SWEAR IT WASN'T IN VAIN

He blames everything on Edelgard

The characters aren't that good though, outside of Hilda of course. It is just a boring route.

she's allied with those who did it

Dimitri is crazy and seems to have just assumed that the Flame Emperor (Edelgard) did Duscur. It was actually organized by Thales (Lorc Arundel). On the BE path, it's additionally stated that Thales purposefully caused Dimitri to think Edelgard did Duscur, in order to make him go over the edge and obsess over Edelgard, which would cloud his judgement as a ruler.

Get out of here, you need to go play kino BL and are getting to some of the best parts. I love that fucking route.

You again? You post an offshoot of this every thread you can and willfully shit post and bait. Aren't you tired of this?

>Lorenz
>Claude
>Raphael
>Lysithea
>Marianne
>bad
The only way you can have this opinion is if you're skipping paralogues and supports

Attached: 1566788610781.png (333x613, 318K)

Dumb frogposter

>fuck i barely dodged the bullet, almost got engaged to this, decent looking at best, emotionally unstable, wreck of a woman.
really just watch the conversation, it's Ferdinand friendzoning her HARD

Attached: 2nozh6vf40831.png (850x848, 114K)

You are right, I missed based as fuck Lorenz. The rest suck and are one note gimmicks worse that Fareswakening.

>Mercedes and Caspar have a paralogue
>Caspar gets a fucking Lance out of it
But... why?

Attached: Arthas.jpg (125x125, 2K)

Hilda is great, she’s my fortress knight tank so far. Chapter 13

You're wrong

Attached: 1566494131690.jpg (374x349, 48K)

Blue Lions is honestly my least favorite route and house. I legitimately don't get why so many people seem drawn it to them over the other houses.

>He blames everything on Edelgard
Yea but why? What did Edelgard do to Dimitri to make him so butthurt? I got that she was his childhood friend (bully?) but they're estranged by the time we're in the monastery.

Why don't you like them user?

It's the most plot centric, eveyr major NPC is related to the holy kingdom, and Yea Forums in general loves Guts-inspired characters. I don't care for Dimitri, but I do like the rest of the house.

The characters suck and none of them even know each other before the game except lorenz and claude and raph and ignatz. They don't have the same lore and friendship as other house classmates do which make their interactions boring and they're all way more tropey too. Was super disappointed in Raph, Marianne, Leonie, and Ignatz. Lorenz carries the cast

Well they clearly showed the Flame Emperor to be associated with Duscur (Dimitri hears her talk to Thales about it)
And then the flame Emperor turns out to be Edgelard. A person Dimitri has feelings for and trusts.
So at the very least, an old friend of his turns out to be a conspirator at least somewhat responsible for the deaths of his family, and the source of his PTSD/Survivor's Guilt.

>none of them even know each other before the game
How the fuck is this a negative?
>disappointed in marianne
oh, you're a literal faggot

Deer is literally church route copypaste with 2 or three different scenes, and while the exclusive scenes of that route are good, the ones shared with church make way less sense in GD than in the original route

he just wants a face to blame for all his rage

nothing. he's completely insane, play the other routes to notice this. blue lions fags pretend he's some great lord when he's just like edelgard in that he self destructs and dies like a dog in every single route except the one where they are babysat by Jesus

Only Claude makes it out alright no matter what route you choose

BL isn’t even the strongest route gameplay wise.

MUH PUNISHED MEME XD

In all seriousness its my favorite route because the character interactions and dialogue are more prominent and integrated into the story. I don't even like the characters in the house as much as I do BE or GD but they have more presence and I enjoy that even if I prefer other characters. Even the first half of the game seems like it was made with BL in mind with Sylvains brother, Ashe and Lonato and later Mercedes and Death Knight. Unit balance also seems skewed in their favor since nearly all of them get Relic weapons. I wish they put this much effort into Edelgards route, those characters deserve it.

Why were BL and GD even fighting in the second three way house battle on the BL route? Claude even mentions “hey we both hate the empire so why are we fighting each other”

I think BE would have been fine if it was better paced
It really could have used a CG scene in the beginning of the post-timeskip to let you Byleth and Edelgard have a dramatic moment, since those bits really set the tone
>GD: see Claude and he smiles back at you because you're back with your friend and you're going to figure out this crest/church nonsense together
>BL: see Dimitri PUNISHED and broken, it's a gritty war route
>Church: have to fight Edelgard before you both go your own ways, you've burned bridges and have to put the world back together

>objectively

Retard who doesn’t know what words mean, more at 11

>b-but they fly the banner of Seiros!
yeah, because they didn't want to immediately get the alliance involved as they built up forces.
bad writing trying to justify a three-way fight. Gronder only makes sense in VW and CG doesn't even have it which is hilarious to think about. Dunno why it was a key piece of the marketing when it really isn't that important of a fight

>How the fuck is this a negative?
Because the other houses have character lore and deer doesn't? They kind of set the precident for more complex character relationships that aren't just "we were classmates for a year"
>oh, you're a literal faggot
Her development is too subtle. I don't expect her to be super confident and outgoing but she should be more like her timeskip monastery dialogue (I'm ashamed I wanted to die, there's so much to live for and my life has value type shit) in her supports and whatever little input she had in the story. Also she should've had an A support with lysithea that's legit her best support in the game and they fucking cut it short

It literally is the strongest route gameplay wise. Dmitri can solo the game

see the ending is kino also

Attached: brother took step sister virginity before going head 1st.webm (800x450, 2.72M)

Deer gets by far the most lore and worldbuilding explanation and Black Eagles gets two fucking routes that BOTH deal with Immaculate One and the cause behind Edelgard declaring war

Blue Lions accidentally kill Thales and know jack shit about the continent's history since they're too busy on a safari to hunt gorillagard before Dimitri an heroes

It drives me batty that they seem to be friendly with each other but don't have a support. Kind of like Dorothea and Ingrid.

If the lord can solo that means the gameplay is weak and easy

On shitter difficulties maybe.
The maps are boring as shit. And the unique ones it does have in Fhirdiad is piss easy.

CF even with its shortness was more entertaining with Tailtean and actually being on the offensive in Garreg Mach. Can’t wait to try it on maddening

Gronder field would have been KINO if fog rolled in at the end of the second turn or something.

No, strong gameplay wise means the characters are powerful within the gameplay stop moving the goalposts fag

The whole point of GD is that you don't need to be ebin noble friends from childhood, it makes sense they form bonds after meeting that are just as strong as the other houses. Most of the "lore" of other houses being friends since childhood barely amounts to anything, like Sylvain realizing Ingrid was the one for him all along, but that's on par with Ignatz and Raphael's friendship and their expository dialogue during their paralogue.

They're the house with the most chemistry. Even the odd ones out (Dedue and Ashe) are woven into the pre-existing relationships well. No other house gave me the impression that they were particularly close. They even have the best faculty/church supports as well.

Attached: tea.jpg (1988x2048, 328K)

You mean impossible. Fuck that maps hard if you didn’t recruit well, at least you get extra rewinds

GD would be worst route by far but nemesis singlehandely excuses the route of being a church copy and black eagles (Empire) exists.

>she's allied with those who did it
Then shouldn't Dimitri be more mad at those people who actually did Duscur instead of Edelgard? Dimitri seems to be more fixated on Edelgard than wanting to investigate the people behind Duscur. I'm pretty sure the ghosts of the Duscur victims would tell him to go after them and not Edelgard.

Prove it bitch.

Well he kills all of them throughout the game (some unknowingly), but the biggest thing is that he felt betrayed by Edelgard

It’s driven home pretty well that Dmitri isn’t a mentally stable character. There’s a reason he’s nicknamed the boar he gets fixated on single targets as well as his rage.

Who cares when the lore is just stupid slither shit that actively makes the game worse and opens up more questions.

>Hubert tried to run to Fhirdiad to get Edelgard back and killed the Empire scouts and soldiers that tried to stop him for three days straight disregarding food or sleep until he finally collapsed from exhaustion
>on the same note he'll also go against any of Edelgard's orders if he feels like it and will often torture and execute those Edelgard has ordered to be released
Hubert is a strange man, how should I look at his relation with Lady Edelgard?

Attached: FETH_Hubert.png (947x1143, 777K)

BAAAAAAIIIITTTEEEEERRRRR3! Haven't you gotten tired of this same argument where you get blown out of the water?

>guys stop talking about slithers!
I wonder who could be behind this post

Attached: 1525558663517.gif (178x188, 152K)

This is the issue with BL in general. It provides the narrowest scope in terms of the overall lore and context of the narrative and it’s reflected within their actions. That’s all thrown out the window to further focus on the character focus on Dimitri and his direct conflict with Edelgard

Their route struck me as the most standard FE story out of all the houses'. In the second part, you start off with a small resistance group, Rodrigue has his heroic sacrifice, then you do the classic 'return of the king' bit in Fhirdiad and finish off by conquering the evil empire's capital. I think I retroactively found the BL finale more of a let down than at first, since their final map gets reused in GD. GD's second part goes on very similarly to BL, but it feels like Claude has more of a presence in the campaign and actually acts like a proper opponent to Edelgard, who has to and outmaneuver her and consider his political options at home, as well as his shakier alliance with the church forces. GD also gets some actual lore info thrown in and a way better final chapter in my opinion.
As for the house itself, I don't have much against the characters individually, but their interactions and supports just bored the hell out of me. Most of them are already good friends from the get-go and have common history. Way too often, the supports between them amounted to just "let's cook together" or "let's do makeup" or maybe "you almost died trying to save me on the battlefield" when it wants to get serious. By contrast, BE and GD have a wider array of characters from distinct backgrounds who gradually learn to come together.
It's not even that I dislike the Blue Lions - I think their route is completely servicable for a good FE game, but Three Houses also offers other routes, which I felt were significantly more entertaining, so I'm just puzzled as to why the Lions in particular seem to be so popular around here.

Attached: 1562415297051.jpg (480x480, 43K)

He’s insanely loyal to the point that he will disobey orders out of loyalty because he thinks he knows better for the house.

He's been trained since birth to be her majordomo. Her exile robbed him of his purpose

I'll admit I'm an Edelfag and even I'm getting pissed off at this fucking retard who keeps posting the 'why Dimitri mad at Edelgard tho'. How fucking thick do you have to be to not understand why Dimitri is the way he is in BL?

Attached: FqqWrOyw.png (512x512, 174K)

t.brainlet.
This lore is both simple to understand and the most intriguing shit we’ve gotten since Genealology. Learning the shit about the Nabeteans in GD was gutting

Tell me where the Slithers improves the plot then and how just writing them out and making Edelgard/the empire evil wouldn't have made things better in the end?

Leonie still lusting after Jeralt dick

That's a fair interpretation, I just wish they were friendlier with each other I guess. Raph seems to be the only one putting in the effort to be friendly with the other even post time skip

m.youtube.com/watch?v=ohhcrhgki3I
Because no other route has a scene of this caliber.

We explained this to you in the last 100 threads baiter.

He unironically loves her and wants to do what he considers to be the best for her interests, to the point that he's willing to disobey orders, if he thinks following them wouldn't be a benefit to her.

Attached: 1563488951174.jpg (640x640, 68K)

People say "oh it's just one support!" But every fucking time she chimes in in the story its back to fucking Jeralt

>Just got Rodrigue in Part 2 Blue Lions
>Not playable
He's going to fucking die, isn't he?

i thought hubert was a white knight until i played BE and realized he's based. he constantly goes behind edelgard's back to do things she explicitly tells him not to do. the man has a vision for fodlan and sees edelgard not as an intimate partner, but as the vessel for his mission.

Not saying the Nabeteens need to be written out. They are still the reason Serios does what she does and why Sothis is dead. It is just stupid they are an incompetent for the past 1000 or so years until recently and have replaced people with undercover agents. That is the bit that is dumb. Just make it people are evil, the empire is corrupt and skip the fucking dubsteppers.

Slithers manipulating Edelgard into believing she knows the truth, and her acting on that is the best part of her character. In turn, this also happens because of how Rhea has bent the truth about Nemesis and the Elites in her attempt to protect Fodlan and not have in plunged into another war.
The only support in the house with actual animosity was Ignatz and Lysithea, but even she realizes she's being a cunt by the end of it.

He's protective more than he is loyal

You have to understand FE fans like their vanilla black and white plots and BL directly caters to that the hardest.

As for Dimitri, he was nice but in also starting to get bored with his general Guts-esque archetype. VA did an amazing job though

Based. It is super annoying to see them every fucking thread and people keep responding. I don't hate Edelgardfags but I hate this retard who is giving you a bad name.

I thought the same thing when I couldn't recruit Gilbert and Seteth but they both lived

Death Flag: The Character: The Sequel

>You have to understand FE fans like their vanilla black and white plots and BL directly caters to that the hardest.
This, that's why people bitched about Conquest

At least you got him and he did shit and was a side unit unlike whoever that bitch is who joins you in Claudes route and just fades away.

>Make the plot the same black and white garbage we’ve had for about 12 FEs straight

You are exactly who is talking about

Literally the chapter after you get him

He's one of a bunch of characters that should've been reacruitable desu
>Rodrigue
>Randolph and Ladislava
>Death Knight
>Judith and Nader

Nah conquest was shit on for different reasons, mainly that Corrin is a gigantic fucking pussy and you were objectively playing the bad guys when you have fucking mustache twirlers like Garon and Iago on your side, and people didn’t like that but dealt with it because Camilla milkies

Is the text shit in handheld mode?

They are just retarded. Prove me wrong.

Retarded or not their map was really good.

So, whats the Yea Forumserdict on the OST this time? Personally i think they kinda overused Edge of Dawn as the leit motif, but overall the songs are great and appropriately hyped.

I cant stop imagining Sord Of Creator as Sothis's TOLBERONE.
I'm sorry.

Nope, its pretty clean and clear for me, even in the roster menu
A solid size 13-15 font overall

I like BL the most because of that. If I want to know about devious politicians and daring schemes, I just need to read history books( and I love reading them). No need to fill my brain with useless information. But I can only get the delicious character-centered drama from a fictional story.

It's not amazing
Judith and Nader had so much potential but are only units ine one map each. We don't even get to see Holst or Count Gloucster, yet mr.curled wig gets a model AND a profile

>leonie's burger is about to fall apart
never noticed that until now

I don’t mind the frequency of edge of dawn because Edge of Dawn is fucking great.
God Shattering Star is unironically my favorite final map theme in the series

FUCK I MEANT TO SAY IT'S NOT AMAZING, BUT THE SOUNDTRACK WAS STILL SOLID

Attached: 1485521440576.jpg (350x409, 106K)

Are you retarded? I've never seen anyone associate "strong gameplay" with the strength of the characters.

Not friendly =/= animosity
Just that they don't act like friends just people together for a cause and nothing deeper than that

>That’s all thrown out the window to further focus on the character focus on Dimitri and his direct conflict with Edelgard

I felt exactly the same way. BL is the weakest in narrative because it's so self centered on Dimitri and his emotional baggage. It was so pathetic seeing Gilbert and Rodrigue dragging Dimitri on his legs to keep the war going. Even Dimitri was shocked that the people of Fhirdiad would want him back after he abandoned them for years on a selfish death wish to reconcile with someone who clearly does not want anything to do with him.

>How many times was this game delayed again?
I really hope like half of the DLC is just to fluff out a lot of main game stuff. More A supports, more (smaller) path splits, more lore. I'm still surprised by how much I liked 3H and would take another year of delay if it meant stuff like this launched with it.

Attached: fishstroke.gif (250x250, 37K)

God Shattering Star took that mission to true kino levels even if I still prefer BE's finale

Attached: Small_portrait_nemesis_fe16.png (512x512, 176K)

The biggest crime they did to Nadir in BE is relegate his “invasion” of Fodlan to a fucking paralogue, where he just, die for good, in a paralogue
Why couldnt they use this map right after the battle for Dendriu? They could have let him goes “i’ll avenge Claude!” (Or “i wont tolerate this disgrace” if you spare Claude), and the plot about Almyra would be resolved nicely right there

And that’s fine, different tastes for different people. It’s just clear that a lot of Yea Forums shares that sentiment which is why BL is so popular here.

Well that and the flagrant otomepandering the route has

Is Switch Lite compatible with FE:TH? I want to play this game, but don't want to pay console price, if I can avoid it. It would great if Pokemon and Smash on it, too.

That is why I like BL the most. I prefer character stories to lore stories, they are more interesting and they made the whole cast interesting.

Well, what do you consider friends? Since basically all supports involving Claude, Lorenz, and Hilda have them growing as friends with whoever they talk to. Claude and Lysithea and Lorenz and Leonie show this the most. As close as Hilda and Claude are supposed to be, I was kind of suprised how plain their support was, with the most exciting thing being Claude's semi-proposal at A-rank

anyone can solo the game with enough stat boosters you idiot

Everything you can play with the normal switch can be played on the lite (as of now)
So yeah, go ahead. You will suffer some not-so-minor slow down in a small part of the monastery, and in big maps at furthest zoom level tho

>Why couldnt they use this map right after the battle for Dendriu?
That's what they did though. I don't see much issue with this being a paralogue.

Anyone have that image showing the best final classes for each character?

Not Claude: Wyvern Knight
Claude: Barbarossa

>Slithers manipulating Edelgard into believing she knows the truth, and her acting on that
What truth do you mean? She knew about the Immaculate One and the origin of the relics, and she learned that from her father, not the Slitherers.

It just feel kinda strange tho, since paralogue are for character insight. Such a big and important fight shouldnt be there. And BE only has 18 chapters too. Making it 1 more wont hurt, esp when para and aux battles suffer some more exp cut
Still, in hindsight 2 spawning point of wyvern lords plus zillion of them and bow knight alr there seem to be excessive for a story chapter. Im dreading that fight in maddening

>Randolph and Ladislava randomly dying after the defense chapter

>Arundel/Thales in the background and slitherfags offscreen campaign
>Kill off Cornelia in the campaign where you'd expect she helps you during the rest of the kingdom war
What's the deal with Jeritza and not feral Dimitri anyway?
Why does Felix hate Dimitri in this route even though Dimitri seems pretty levelheaded and rational?

FUCK YOU FERDINAND WHY IS YOUR B SUPPORT LOCKED BEHIND TIME SKIP

JOIN MY HOUSE YOU KEK REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

they didnt have to the shit loli in there but eah otherwise its a dope game. Some routes are shit tho

BE is a bit of a mess

Her truth is half-truth tho, since she still believe Nemesis was a hero for standing up against the dragons, which can be attributed to the Slytherin altering the First King’s manifesto, since i dont believe that dude was hostile toward the church, him being Rhea’s most trusted friend and all

yes. i'd say so.

Gotta love how he's straight up a sinister asshole and revels in it.

>Make Annette a Wyvern Lord
>Bolt Axe/Crusher memes

Dimitri isn't feral because he was never kicked out of his country and framed for murder. So he didn't go through that trauma. Felix still hates the fact that Dimitri is still not accepting himself and working through his anger and issues in a healthy way and is still hiding his crazy side.

atleast its not a 1000 year dragon this time

Dimitri is still his nuclear self on BE, but he's been tampered by actually being on the throne for 5 years, instead of wandering around and going on murder sprees.

We don’t know of TWSITD manipulates that info or it just got telephone’d through passing it down from emperor to emperor. It’s left kinda vague.

The core issue that humanity is being manipulated from behind the scenes by an alien threat and Edelgard wants to change that is still ultimately true, there’s just a fuckton of nuance and context she’s missing which likely would change her outlook drastically. Too bad it’s gated behind the single person she despises the most in Rhea/The immaculate One

Tips for battling and choosing equipment/accessories?

Add onto this Rhea and the other dragons helped build Enbarr in peace with the empire then. Also she doesn't know that Sothis, a dragon, did sacrifice herself to save the world from human fuckups and was then murdered in her sleep.

Well aside from Jerita the other 3 look exactly like what i would call “generic named with multiple death flags”, so them not joining isnt a surprise for me. Nader and Judith too
Donkey Kong was busy on the western front, apparently, and we attack from the south east
Where the fuck is Holst tho. Funnily enough the only time the guy actually participated in the plot was when he ate a weird mushroom and was bed ridden, so we have to get rid of the Almyran for him

So why is Sothis a kid anyway?
Was she always one in the games backstory or is she just one in Byleth's mind?

Edelgard has issue with Rhea simply being a dragon, since she wants humanity to fully decide its own future, rather than to have an alien monster masquerade as a goddess. With that outlook, it's hard not to see Nemesis' actions in a positive light, regardless of Wilhelm Hresvelg's relation to Seiros. I don't think the Slitherers would have needed to maipulate anything.

BE is shit
>Why does Felix hate Dimitri in this route even though Dimitri seems pretty levelheaded and rational?
All characters go full retard if you recruit them in BE, Leonie is worst case
I guess developers did't gave a shit about BE and focused on church route

The eldest son of House Aegir is not so easily swayed.

Killing bernie was worst, especially because Edelgard specially sacrifices her

you have to recruit him pre timeskip first

Wait what? Leonie makes perfect sense. Her promise to Jeralt extends to all routes, I dunno why this would suddenly change in BE.

Nah, I think they were straight up dramatized for the history books. Flayn looks nothing like the statues as proof of this

Edelgard believes in Dubstepper lies. Her secret knowledge that was passed down to her that she claims was traced back to the First Emperor was either a fabricated lie or has been heavily altered to fit the Mole People's agenda. Either way, Emperor Wilhelm I did not have a problem with the Church. He was crowned Emperor and given the Crest his family holds down to Edelgard by Seiros herself. He was the only human leader at the time that sided with Seiros, and Seiros implies Wilhelm was such a great ally and friend to her, that she regrets having to kill Edelgard simply because she is related to her dead ally. Wilhelm would be rolling in his grave knowing his last descendant decided to oppose the Church that helped build his empire.

the same reason why futabas character modell is 2 heads shorter then the rest in persona 6, even when there is only 1 year age difference to the rest of the cast.
Loli bait and resulting sales.
For lore reason, see here:

it doesnt, because she knows the empire/agarthans killed Jeralt. Yet in BE, she blames the church for killing him.

>Yet in BE, she blames the church for killing him.
It's even worse because she changes her opinion in literally span of one month without explaining why

>empire/agarthans

Two separate entities as has been made pretty clear.

This is no different then Dimitri being dumb enough to believe Edelgard as a 13 year old was behind the ToD.

Reminder that the best final boss theme is not God Shattering Star or Apex, it is Funeral of Flowers (Thunder)

Tempest of Seasons the best non-boss track,

Fighting
>Trade around ally equip to benefit the most from linked attacks/gambit boost
>If you have nothing to do, tutor Authority/Riding. The former powers up gambits and gives access to better battalions/rallies while the later eventually grants movement +1
> Not doubling isn't the end of the world, this game is very forgiving with how easy you can get to OHKO thresholds (meals, combat arts, skills, etc)
>Even if you aren't teaching them axe related classes, Brigand is still worth going through for death blow (+6 attack on initiation)

Good Battalions
The support battalions are OP beyond relief
>Stride: +5 MOVE
>Retribution: Counter regardless of range
>Dancer: Dances 4 units (A authority required)
>Impregnable wall (allies give and take 1 damage, use this if you want to rush through a map)
>Blessing (allies survive 1 lethal attack, useful for reckless/dangerous strats)
>2 Fusillades (the basic bow gambit) can fully break monster barriers (opposite sides)
>Give support gambits to units with canto (mounted)

Equips/Accessories
>Range up staves are good for giving mages better chances of not getting countered
>March ring is useful since movement is low in this game

This, Wilhelm was pretty much the reason why Seiros didn't rampage on those that killed her mother.

Wilhelm was Rhea best friend at those hard times, Cichol and Indech where bros, Macuil decided to fuck off after the war and Cethlean went into deep slumber.

Rhea had to depend on Wilhelm for a lot of stuff, it's pretty obvious that seeing one of his descendants pull a second nemesis by pillaging the holy tomb would anger her so much.

You mean since Binding Blade back in '02

So Wilhelm stopped the extinction of humanity by giving Rhea the D?

>tfw Leonie beamed straight for Byleth

>Edelgard believes in Dubstepper lies. Her secret knowledge that was passed down to her that she claims was traced back to the First Emperor was either a fabricated lie or has been heavily altered to fit the Mole People's agenda.
Nothing in the game even suggests this. Edelgard's knowledge of historical events is stated to be passed down through the emperors and none of the revelations Rhea tells you in GD contradicts what Edelgard says in her route. Your argument for it being somehow manipulated is that Edelgard couldn't possibly have a different opinion of the church from her ancient ancestor otherwise. It's honestly just ridiculous, especially since she clearly has a negative opinion of Wilhelm Hresvelg himself, because he allied himself with the dragons.

I mean, I know Dimitri went full retard saying to kill everyone, but shit we didn't even bother you so why even fight us?
I'd understand if they were yellow units that only targeted your blue units if you attacked one of their own and even turned green if you talked to Claude/Allies with Byleth but...

I want to add the resonant -element- battalions
The AoE is ridiculously huge, and can be the playmaking gambit in scenarios where you can reliably wipe the rest and protect the mage that use it. Mages like Lys and Hubert dont have to worry much about skill level too, so they can raise authority quite early

So are we counting the Heroes/Warriors female lords or...

Don't bother arguing with them, the fact the Adrestian Empire they hate so much was allowed to exist and dominate the continent because it's first ruler cooperated with the Immaculate One goes right over their heads.

"The Church and Rhea did nothing wrong and the empire are evil" falls on it's face as an argument when RHEA PERSONALLY FOUNDED THE EMPIRE TO BE HER STOOGES

I swear these people think the fucking dragon has been knitting for the past millenia instead of doing dragon shit

Isn't the Emperor's records of Unga the Bunga of Liberation different from the Church's?

It doesn't contradict, but it's along the lines of missing information and having alternate interpretations.

>Relics created by the hands of mankind
From the corpses of Rhea's entire species.
>all-powerful King Nemesis
Both Rhea and the Slithers call him a thief, and there's no real history of him actually being a king aside from the Church's fake history.
>simple dispute
If taking revenge for genocide is a simple dispute, sure.
>took control of Fodlan
While the Church is revered and the history is false, it's not like they actively take a role and rule over people. If they did, Rhea wouldn't have returned the Relics to people nor warned of abusing crests. Human's are just assholes, and the Slithers are slithering about causing more fucked up shit.

Why do you think she personally started the empire to be their stooges? She basically let's them do whatever they want.

Not saying Rhea hasn't done some questionable shit, that isn't one of those things though.

Isn't it a fact that Nemesis did conquer Fodlan after he and his buddies Unga Bunga'd the Nabateans?

She didn't personally start it, she allowed the first emperor to create it in exchange for hiding the truth that the leader of the church is secretly an immortal dragon.

I dont think that's stated anywhere what Nemesis and the Elites did after slaying the dragons. The Church's history says he conquered Fodlan and was evil, but we know the Church's history has a lot of lies in it.

>Dark mage: shitty donut steel mage locked to hidden seals you get from an optional boss
> Fliers: free and easily obtainable
Balance wasn't their mindset huh? They could've at least make Dark Mage's mastery class Dark Flier.

So going through blue lions and for the life of me could not get Ferdinand to a B rank to join my class. I heard it's possible to get him after time skip but I'm still wary.

Also Dedue isn't dead is he?

It's also a fact that there is a Central Church with an army of comparable size and quality to fucking Faerghus's, as well as separate churches in each cardinal direction with some of their own forces

Reminder that the only reason the Southern church doesn't have forces is because the Adrestians disarmed them

Well i'm just inferring that if Seiros needed Wilhelm and the Adrestrian Army to kill Grug and Grug having an army of his own, kinda implies that Nemesis did conquer at least some of Fodlan.

did you do Dedue's paralogue?

Is it possible to save the majority of students post time skip? What are the requirements to do so?

>Bernie has fallen behind in levels after getting Ashe to be a Map killer
How do I grind her up to bow knight? Currently going to Valley of Death.

IIRC Ferdie/Caspar's B rank is post-timeskip so to nab them you have to train your heavy armor/fists (or whatever it was they wanted) respectively.

>not being a chad that already invests in armor and just happens to get a free Ferdinand because the Dex requirement isn't very high
wew

Recruit them before timeskip.

Yep, even got his authority to B so he can use the Duscar guys.

>12

Attached: obit_pavarotti.jpg (460x300, 31K)

So how is that her making them her stooges? She let's them make an empire over everything and do all the rules and not care if you just dont tell others she is a dragon?

Hey, I was told to focus on Faith and Reason to C rank atleast before chapter 10.

>start black eagles
>get ferdinand C support at the start of chapter 3
>demonic beasts
Someone didn't think this through, did they?

>some of the best gameplay in the series
>not great

As many as you can. The only ones that you can't recruit are Edelgard, Hubert, Dimitri, Dedue and Claude, depending on your route.

>From the corpses of Rhea's entire species.
Edelgard's ancestor wouldn't know that, because Rhea didn't tell that part to anybody.
>Both Rhea and the Slithers call him a thief, and there's no real history of him actually being a king aside from the Church's fake history.
His japanese class description from GD says: "The king who sparked the War of Heroes. Claimed he was liberating Fódlan from a rule of deception. Also pic related.
>If taking revenge for genocide is a simple dispute, sure.
In japanese she uses the word for war/conflict, not "simple dispute.

I don't want to discuss how much control Rhea and Church have or not, because I honestly don't know.

Literally every last one of them except the right-hand man (Dedue, Hubert, Hilda in BE)
Still dont recruit Hilda (or do anyway) in BL, since there’s a weird glitch that make people think that Hilda wasnt even supposed to be recruitable at the start

>Manipulated the people
No, that was the Mole people. They convinced Nemesis and his bandits they can rule the world if they killed their god and conquered the rest of the surface dwellers. Nemesis in GD pretty much confirms this by spewing his social darwinian rhetoric at Byleth and the rest of the GDs. The rest of humanity, including Wilhelm, wanted to be left alone. FodIan isn't the entire world.
>Simple dispute
Now she's outright lying or being deceived. Nemesis was a tyrannical ruler that hated the weak, the goddess, and her people. And wanted them all dead or enslaved. GD has him as their endgame boss and he is as malcontent as the reports claims he is. Also, he wasn't a king. No bias on Rhea here.
>Leading the people of the world
Again, FodIan isn't the world. It's a contintent. And the Church doesn't even rule them like theocracy. The church's primary concern is consolidate their influence to ensure the three powers, the Alliance, Kingdom, and the Empire don't repeat the same mistakes as their ancestors because they don't have the goddess at their side helping to restore their world from nuclear fallout again. How is that a nefarious agenda? It's shown that the Alliance and Kingdom and Empire can pretty much do what they want as along as it doesn't involve bringing the continent to the brink of ruination. Hell, the existence of the Kingdom and Alliance wasn't even planned by Rhea or Church, but they still accepted them as legitimate powers. Also, I'm pretty sure most of FodIan humanity was also recreated by Sothis, if restoring all life means reviving most of humanity back, too. So Dragons and most of humanity, Dubbsteppers excluded, were created by the Goddess.
>Cooperated and allowed to be controlled by Seiros
Nope. Wilhelm was cool with the Church. And Seiros allowed his Empire to flourish without her controlling all of FodIan for it.

Wow, that's based af. Will do after I'm done with my current playthrough of GD.

Gameplay stopped mattering in the series after 7.

Imagine the scandal when the pope is seen with a younger man?

Attached: 1566488485046.jpg (1088x950, 182K)

I feel like her strength would be too low to use it much. Gremory is great though as it give her high magic stat a use for both offense and support.

>there’s a weird glitch that make people think that Hilda wasnt even supposed to be recruitable at the start
Wait, I'm in post-timeskip BL with Hilda, what glitch is this?

>It doesn't contradict, but it's along the lines of missing information and having alternate interpretations.
That's true, but having alternate interpretations is pretty obvious when you consider Rhea and Edelgard's points of view and motivations. People here are quick to try to portray this as Edelgard being manipulated or having only partial information, but that's really not the case. Edelgard is biased against the church and only mentions past events in that one conversation. The truth is that these historical events simply aren't a very big part of her motivation for going against the church. Rather, it's the fact of Rhea secretly being a dragon and using her false religion to manipulate people, since that's what's still ongoing today, as opposed to thousand-year-old grudges against Sothis for coming from space or Nemesis for killing Sothis. Edelgard straight-up talks about "destroying the past" Even Rhea only talks about these events, when it becomes relevant - when you're going up against the Slitherers and she explains what the Slitherers are and what their story is.
>and there's no real history of him actually being a king aside from the Church's fake history.
Pretty sure he was a king. In Marianne's paralogue you fight Maurice, one of the original relic-wielders who fought alongside Nemesis. If you fight him with Byleth, Maurice notices he has "the king's sword".
>While the Church is revered and the history is false, it's not like they actively take a role and rule over people.
Aside from the church being a major political entity with its own power and military forces, Edelgard also has a wider beef with the whole societal system based around the Seiros religion, which was created by Rhea and influences Fodlan's people in more abstract ways, rather than directly.

Had to quit playing for about 5 minutes to laugh with my mate about how stupid the portrait and character model dissonance was throughout the game. This one takes the cake though. Why did they keep portraits if they have models AND voicework now?

Magic Bow.

>blazing "only good on the third playthrough" sword

Different user but be aware some students are more difficult then others. Students will join your hluse randomly after you get their support to B, though some students' B support is locked to post time skip. If you play NG+ you can just buy the supports.

No seriously, Her bow skill at A rank is insane.

If Edelgard remembered Dimitri during school, would she have confided to him about the slithers and what she's doing?

Attached: 1565996900716.jpg (500x500, 30K)

During part 2, the Hilda in your party reveals herself as Zelda, Hilda's long lost twin sister from Lodlan. The real Hilda then appears alongside Claude

>GD route

and people say dragon ball has power scaling issues

Just a minor glitch when another Hilda can show up as Claude’s backup even tho you alr recruited her. Which can lead to a pretty surreal Hilda vs Hilda fight
Doesnt affect anything after that

Oh, man, I'm about to play this chapter, too. That's funny.

No because part of her flaws is that she keeps everything to herself and only confides in Hubert. Only during her campaign does she start confiding in others since Byleth is there

Its Lyn -> ENM -> HNM -> HHM right? My GBA cart was corrupted and I have to reunlock HHM.

>no death knight / Manuela support

Yes, this shit is why I hate games locking difficulties behind multiple playthroughs. Thankfully you can just steal game saves now

Yup, and you need to push through the terrible tutorial as well.

Nemesis and Jormund from Order of the Crimson Arms would make great friends

She's a mole person.

the tell don't show nature of BE campaign pissed me off to no end. Considering that Edelgard was a lot of people's first playthrough, it's jarring how much is omitted from it

this didnt happen for me

Nobody played 12 and RD is strictly only good from a gameplay perspective, while 3H is a far more complete package

Models cant replace drawn portraits, and never should be. Star ocean 4 was a mistake
Well at least in 3H they followed it rather faithfully, just need some more tech savviness for proper facial animation

3Hs has mediocre at best gameplay and the story is surpassed by 4 in at least half the routes.

I'm so salty the apology wasn't shown. The idea of an embarassed Death Knight apologizing is fucking hilarious

>Rank em
on what metric?

What the fuck is wrong with the Kingdom of Faerghus? There were lords and people that were fine with killing the royal family and then when the Duscur are blamed, everyone was giddy with massacring them. And then when Cornelia frames Dimitri for killing his uncle, everyone just goes 'yeah I guess that makes sense, go ahead an kill the only heir we have Cornelia.'
Adrestria is also fucked but it makes sense with how deep the slithers have gotten into the Empire.

Someone explain adjutants to me and am I meant to gear them?

She would have probably tried to comfort him more after Remire, but any mention of the Slithers would have made him go nuclear

>Get to the timeskip / reunion on GD
>It lacks any of the impact and emotion of the BL one

Attached: 1558534372206.png (328x438, 204K)

The people dont really care, it's just nobles being retards. Also for the Cornelia example: just making public the fact that Dimitri was still alive was enough to make the people start a revolt against Cornelia and the empire.

Well she doesn't know he'll go nuclear, and honestly it would be funny to see her go 'NO WAIT, DIMITRI STOP'

they can do follow up attacks, reduce damage take, and heal you occasionally. each benefit has a corresponding symbol.

You press Y on one of the units you want to put on the battlefield and then you select one of the units that are NOT going to be on the battlefield

That was after five years of Cornelia being a fucking bitch and fucking up Faerghus, the people sure didn't bother to help Dimitri beforehand.

Adjutants
>The "right" answer
Discount awakening pair-up (dual strike, dual guard and dual heal)

Think of an alliance without Holst.
They face subversion after a plague and loads of political reforms from the king and the rely completely on house Gautier to keep invasions off.
They also face a lot of poverty and weakened bloodlines with little economic support wich causes rebellions.

If only they had a Holst.

It is just nobles being retarded and Dimitri's uncle being a fuckup who would rather have a harem then rule. The people riot in the streets when Dimitri shows up they are so happy, the people love their royal family there which also explains why the are so rabid in their retaliation against Duscur.

guess they needed some motivation

>>Manipulated the people
Seiros manipulated people. She presented herself as the prophet of humanity's progenitor goddess and based her whole religion around it, while in reality the "goddess" was an alien, humans already lived in Fodlan/the world before she came here and, most importantly, is literally dead and thus all prayers directed to her are pointless.
>>Simple dispute
Edelgard here is responding to Byleth repeating the official church version that Nemesis was "corrupted by evil", which has an added layer of mysticism and implies objective condemnation by a higher power. In reality, Nemesis was just a dickass bandit king, who killed Rhea's mom ans siblings. The reason for the conflict between Nemesis and Rhea is nothing quite as grandiose as divine punishment for being "corrupted by evil". Also, he was a king. See >Again, FodIan isn't the world.
Obviously, Fodlan isn't the world and I'm pretty sure that wasn't even being implied in the first.
>And the Church doesn't even rule them like theocracy.
But the religion of Seiros os one of the fundamental elements of Fodlan's society and, while it was created by Rhea, it extends way beyond what Rhea herself is capable of. Edelgard wants to get rid of that whole system.
The rest of that just comes down to Edelgard being opposed to the very idea of a dragon monster influencing humanity, regardless of them being well-intentioned, as well as having issues with particular aspects of how the church has been running things, like legitimising the Kingdom and Alliance's to secessions.

HEY TEACH! DO YOU WANT SOME LUNCH? YOU MUST BE HUNGRY! BIY THAT LUNCH WAS FILLING. LETS GO WORK OUT A BIT TO HELP DIGEST! HAHAHA

Dark mage cult this time consist of a race of pale skinned, dubstep listening, technology loving, nukeshooting people and they still come off as generic obligatory chaotic evil cop-out villains.
The kill and replace shit they do was dumb and not-peri, not-gharnef and not-gharnef 2.0 were boring

What self imposed restrictions or certain builds or memes have you done?

Kinda sucks Raphael defaults to that in the cutscenes because he has some excellent supports

Firstly they give the main unit a bunch of stat
Also they can heal you at the beginning of your turn or cast an additional spell (healer), very occasionally strike the enemy, which might crit (attack), or shield you frim an attack (defense). The damage is based on the adjuctant stat and gear
Realistically, the attack one sucks ass, so you just equip them the weapon you want to train, and let them power level with a main unit

Speak for yourself, their promise was one of pure friendship and it shows.

When half the content rebels against the empire and are going to ravage the remnants of the empire the church is ASKED to step in. Imagine if Rhea didn't step in and Loog just continued to destroy what was left of the empire, the people who helped her against Nemesis? In reality Thea probably saved the empire by legitimizing the Kingdom and stopping Loog from making them his bitch.

>not liking a boy so based he goes to school even though he's a retard because he loves his sister that much

There's a lot of talk about decapitation in this game, christ.
I could've sworn this topic came up more in other FE games aside from pic related but the only other evidence I found was the old Gaiden Manga where they hang Desaix's head on the gates after he kills Kliff.

Attached: Eldigan.png (600x720, 362K)

>Relics created by mankinds
Relics are literally just dragon body parts formed in a certain way for humans to use as weapons. That's like saying humans created clothing first, but neglecting to mention they're from the furs of the animals they killed, so they can use them. Already Edelgard is trying to downplay the history and contributions of the Nabateans and is as bias as Rhea.

>Manipulated the world
You mean Rhea helped free humanity from a transhuman tyrannical corpse pilferer that just killed their goddess who saved humanity from the war that almost destroyed the world they started? And she's mad her ancestor supported her? Ungrateful, to be honest.

>Simple dispute
Nemesis wanted to rule the world by force and committed genocide to accomplish it. He even killed the god that saved the world from nuclear fallout. He wasn't trying to free people from tyrannical rule. He wanted to be the ruler of the world.

>Leading humanity should someone with humanity
Then why is she glorifying the one transhuman abomination that literally has dragon blood flowing his veins, making him inhuman as well? In fact, all Crest bearers are transhumans because they're part dragon, as well. They have no right to rule humanity, because they're not human as well.
>Took control of FodIan
They did a horrible job at it, given that the Empire was separated into a Kingdom, which was then separated into an alliance, which then resulted in the Church having their own denominations from all over the continent they don't have control over.

You say it's a glitch, but I see a secret Dubstep clut ploy to infiltrate the alliance that backfired when it turned out the original wasn't actually dead as expected.

>HILDA
>HILDA

Don't forget he is 100% natty, doesn't hold any ill will towards Lorenz, makes Marianne laugh, and is one of the best pairings for Bernadetta.

I just like the fact that the sword is fuckhuge , basically 2 hander size for byleth while it's just fine for him.

Hobo run: no buying weapon, use only what i have (turn off online feature ofc, else you are swimming in weapons regardless), class everyone to thief for stealing shits or brawler for unarmed combat. Mages dont count since their spell cost nothing. Its fun as fuck

Basically this, Loog was a motherfucking beast Rhea saved the empire from collapsing by giving Loog authority at the cost of accepting the church is Seiros.

Wilhelm is seriously rolling in his grave because if Edelgard, Rhea did everything to protect the city of his old friend, fuck it she helped build most of the city and its pointed out heavily in Golden Deer that she built the fortress, the castle and the river canal before making it the capital.

He's just IMAGINING

If anything he would probably complain about how the sword's too light for him.

It was great though.

From what I can tell each reunion is supposed to evoke a completely different feeling to set the tone of each story. So it makes sense that GD's wouldn't grab you as much if you were that into the BL one.

Hi, same user here.
I've played my fair share of RPGs and know that they like to exaggerate in cutscenes and all but how the fuck does a seasoned war veteran die to some little girls' butter knife?
Like, I understand this was all for Dimitri's development and all because I knew they wouldn't keep him angsty forever, but they could've tried another method?
also, i'm going to assume Byleth didn't divine pulse that shit because it was needed for Dimitri to get over it (and not because ISIS forgot)

Sothis spines wasn't big enough for anything other than a knife.

What I mean is that adult Sothis spine is nothing but a knife to Nemesis, have you looked at the size of the fucker when facing Byleth and Claude.

When I played black eagles I tried to fill my squad with as many classic FE archtypes as possible
>Lindhardt and Ferdinand as the christmas cavs
>Felix as the edgy enemy myrmidon recruit
>Petra Ingrid and Bernie as the pegasus trio

She has a deceptively big spine okay

I almost feel bad for the guy, it must be hard to find a good weapon for himself. What is he supposed to do, put a mountain on a stick and swing it around?

>Linhardt as cav
Why?

on one hand
>deep puncture from a sharp object could kill anyone if it strikes the right spot
on the other hand
>Rodrigue is not only well dressed but suspension of disbelief would believe you to think that he could survive numerous attacks like he does in Felix's paralogue
I just take it as him taking a lot of damage during the battle and Fleche just happened to get a crit on him (why else is she dialoguing?).
I wish FE would use combat scenes again to represent things that happen during cutscenes. How much STR+MIGHT would Fleche even need to kill Rodrigue with a critical anyway?

desu for how much people talk about 3H's writing there's still plenty of retarded nonsense

He was green.

All the more physically bent units that somehow had good spells became mages, all the mages became a physical/hybrid class based on their one physical weapon proficiency

I mean he could just use his big meaty hands

I guess it's a combination of honeymoon phase, pre-release hype and people willingly to take anything after fates

>picture of TV
You're better than this.

user, I was making fun of Claude in the timeskip meeting...

I thought you were talking about best boy Raph, my bad.

Beaten to death challenge
Every character who has a combat quote with another unit during part 2, they must kill them with gauntlets.

Am I meant to feel bad for killing the other teachers in Dimitri's paralogue? They deserved to die for siding with Edelgard after she desecrated the monastery. I even had Dorothea kill Manuela but didn't get any special dialogue which sucked too

Are the auxiliary battles the same on every difficulty? I'm doing the forced one at the start on Maddening and its a massive step down from the previous chapter difficulty wise

No
Yes

Well the writing cant be perfect anyway. The main good things about 3H are that they finally fleshed out the lore and backstory of everything, while making the plot just divisive and intriguing enough for discussion
Is honeymoon still in effect? Its like 2 months alr

I don’t even know why Dimitri is so autistic about Edel’s head. Decapitation is a quick way to die, why is such an edgelord so obsessed with it? It is pretty funny that even Dedue goes along with it after Dimitri dies even after Edelgard is also dead he still cuts off her head just to fulfill his friend’s weird fetish.

>I don’t even know why Dimitri is so autistic about Edel’s head. Decapitation is a quick way to die,
because his father was decapitated

Kinda? Paralogues are definitely way more painful tho. Aux is practically class masteries farming maps

His dad was decapitated in front if him user...

Thought'd I hate him for being not Gharnef part whatever but he turned out to be pretty cool
I wonder if him looking like a Morph was intentional

Because decapitation is the way Lambert died so in his justice PTSD addled mind it makes sense

Attached: 1565895636048.jpg (1280x720, 194K)

What are the names of each of the three routes?

In terms of difficulty maybe but the flexibility of the system is fun as fuck.

4 is overrated as shit narrative wise, people just jack it off because of muh incest and muh Arvis bbq

Decapitation is funny in a way that its very humane toward the dying, but then extremely humiliating for the ones who are alr dead. Well having your head on a spike at the gate of Enbarr sure is a sight regardless

Yeah I can see that, the big focus on lore and worldbuilding makes it seem they learned from fates and i'll take "was edelgard or rhea right/wrong, is dimitri's trauma accurate/retarded" over "camilla good bc tragic backstory and imagedumping" of the old.
Honeymoon is kinda lingering there in other fancircles where you can't critique any part of 3H. I'll assume it'll go away when the final DLC wave is released/1 year anniversary

White Cloud
Crimon Flower
Azure Moon
Verdant Wind
Silver Snow

Muh Crests, Kill every last one of them and Hoes mad

...!

While these are all valid arguments to bring up as to why one can dislike Edelgard, this is all concerning matters of perspective and opinion. My original point was simply that Edelgard was not manipulated or misinformed about historical events, because it's a narrative that often gets thrown around here and is used to discredit her character, but it's simply not true at all. You're welcome to debate and criticise her on all the points you brought up though, since these are issues of differing outlooks and ideals, and discussing these is actually fun, as far as threads about this game go.

People already worshiped the goddess. All Seiros did was formalized the practice after she died, because they don't have her around anymore to save them again. That's not manipulation anymore than any other man made religion that tries to understand a higher being. Sothis also restored the land, presumably most humanity, after the war. The humans you see, barring the Slitherers, were her literal creations as well, if she did restore the people as well, making her a progenitor god to humanity as well. She literally answers Byleth's prayers and her consciousness returns to confess her feelings to Byleth, meaning she can hear his thoughts outside the boundaries of reality. Time manipulation is pretty much reality warping, which she gave to Byleth when their souls merged.

Nemesis is not a king. He's a self-proclaimed King of Liberation. But he doesn't want to free people anymore than he was royalty. He's a conqueror, nothing more.

>the church has been running things, like legitimising the Kingdom and Alliance's to secessions.
So she's a selfish cunt who who hates Dragons ruling over them but doesn't mind trampling the rights of the Alliance and Kingdom to rule over them under the Imperial banner, because why? I would rather have Lizard Pope Pretending to be human than a dick human like Edelgard who doesn't recognize my disinterest in being part of her "empire". The Dragon Church doesn't even care if you don't believe, that's already better than the real-life Medieval Abrahamic religions that do.

Why do I have a lingering feeling that Dimitri's Misremembering events and that he's interpreting his father's last words differently?
Idk, just find it weird for a father to tell his son to AVENGE US, KILL THEM and not son I love you or some other shit.

>Path of Radiance
>Bad

Dimitri knows that the Duscarian people didnt commit the tragedy
He said that the person that committed it look like the flame emperor thus assuming the flame emperor is responsible
While it is done by someone wearing the flame emperor's disguise it was his stepmother not El but Dimitri doesnt know this
all he know is Person behind the Emperor Flame Mask=the murderer
It important to remember that Dimitri did consider Edelgard when he found her dagger dropped by FE but he deny it cant be her cause she's just a kid when the tragedy happened
She when FE is reveal to be El Dimitri said
>is this some kind of joke
showing his disbelief before accepting what he thinks is the truth and get to work
honestly how this part of the story was told is kinda poorly done

Attached: tragedystruck.png (700x933, 1.24M)

I thought it was his PTSD that made him imagine his dad's ghost telling him to kill every last one of them

Well Lambert didn't even let Patricia see her own daughter so he's not the moral paragon Dimitri thinks he is.

When you are being killed along with all your friends and allies you are allowed to be pissed off and ask for revenge. That said Dimitri totally could be remembering wrong.

Weird way to say Echoes

I'm gonna say no, they're definitely tougher. But you're fighting level 3 dudes, I tried the tougher one in chapter 3 that gives you gold but it was impossible, so I settled for the easier one.

Honestly it’s hinted that Lambert is kind of a dick so it’s not outside the realm of possibility he said that shit

Was I suppose to feel bad for this guy or is he a parody of the typical retard who should switch sides for a logical reason but doesn't because muh love to fight

Attached: Gwendal.png (256x256, 50K)

I dunno

Meh just a guy looking for a good way to die, I was happy to oblige

Not that I'm defending Edelgard's bitch move of throwing the knife, but did did she really have anything to look forward to if she did take Dimitri's hand?

Attached: 1568162932306.jpg (1137x640, 50K)

I mean I would get pretty upset if I was being murdered by my secret wife

Claude if you haven't noticed, isn't emotionally unhinged compared to the other two. So he wouldn't have anything to bitch and moan about.
He's just happy to see his bro is alive

probabily not but I do think it makes her look bad in comparison to Dimitri when something similar happens in her route

no not really, if anything there's a number of reasons why she rejected his hand
>she's still trying to kill him as a final act of defiance
>she's forcing him to kill her because her work was undone
>she's forcing him to kill her because she feels she can't be redeemed
>she knows she's going to die young due to experimentation
>jealousy because sensei didn't choose me

People worshipped Sothis, who was a generally nice and powerful alien being, but wasn't an omnipotent creator god. Then Sothis died and she has been dead for the entire time that Rhea's church has existed.
>That's not manipulation anymore than any other man made religion that tries to understand a higher being.
Humans not knowing, but trying to understand a higher being and possibly being off the mark isn't anything like Rhea making up her entire religion, even though she KNOWS the truth about Sothis and her death. Disregarding matters of falsifying history (like the religion's creation myth, for example), the church of Seiros clearly portrays its goddess as an active participant in the affairs of Fodlan's people - people pray for protection; western church and Rhea's soldiers both talk about the goddess being with them [in battle]; in Hilda's paralogue with Seteth, Seteth says that the goddess hears, sees and knows all etc. There's even an afterlife the goddess is supposed to be in charge of. Objectively, none of that has any basis facts, since Sothis is dead and can do nothing. She's only brought back as a result of Rhea's experiments and only manifests herself to Byleth as a result of the crest stone in his heart (and later lives inside his soul, if you kill Rhea on BE).
>Nemesis is not a king. He's a self-proclaimed King of Liberation. But he doesn't want to free people anymore than he was royalty. He's a conqueror, nothing more.
What difference does it make? Loog wasn't a king, until he took half the continent and got himself king. I don't see any issue with Nemesis being titled king, given that he ruled all of Fodlan at some point. Him being a dick doesn't change that. It's just a ruler's title.

Which route is best for a first playthrough?

The games cast (imo) is the best in the series. I like pretty much all of the characters and seeing them interact with eachother. The different routes add great replayability, the new difficulty mode is a nice challenge, and the girls are cute! This girl is really cute! I love my wife Bernadetta!

Attached: bernie6.jpg (823x1029, 398K)

Think we'll get a DLC campaign about the best duo in the game Odese and Myson?

>Edelgard waged a whole war based on misinformation
kyute

I want Byleth to S rank Judith or Cornelia or Ladislava

It's just the difference in characters:
Edelgard thinks there is nothing she could do to save Dimitri so she gives him a quick death and suppresses her tears for him afterwards
Dimitri is led almost entirely by emotions and still tries to save Edelgard because that's what the people he idolizes would do and has has to get help from Byleth to move on after killing her

Stop replying to that idiot, he posts the same shit in every thread.

Attached: 203906.png (800x600, 370K)

So Byleth is around at the beginning for whatever reason and Kostas is charging at Edelgard, what is the likelyhood that she can fend him off with that dinky little dagger before Dimitri comes? Also how bad would Dimitri take it if he saw an El with an ax embedded into her?

>Church or Golden deer route for lore and worldbuilding
>Blue Lions route for politics and history between Dimitri and Edelgard
>Black Eagles for Edelgard's perspective (and seeing her actually win). This one is the most vague and doesn't tell you much about the world of Fodlan and is much shorter than the other routes as well (18 vs 22)

She could tell Dimitri about the Slithers and have him take up the war against them.

All because of Claude's master plan of luring the bandits away.

>Just realized that dagger is the same one Dimitri gave her long ago

I’m a retard

Either BL or GD.

Wathever you do try to space church and GD as much as possible.

This
I want to pound MILF pussy

It really took you that long to figure out that the dagger in the blue sheath is the same dagger as the one that Dimitri gave to her which is also in a blue sheath?

The awkward moment where Claude schemes nearly saved Fodlan of Edelgard stupidity.

A big thing in the whole Nemesis being a king argument a lot of people miss is that Nemesis waged war against the church for about 90~ years and he conquered a lot of territory. So yes he was king for a while.

Well, you only notice that on a replay after BL.

Wait, he was really unga bungaing against the church for that long?

He was just fucking around on account of boredom. If Unga actually got serious the world wouldn't be able to take it.

>Also how bad would Dimitri take it if he saw an El with an ax embedded into her?
It's more likely that Dimitri sees a bandit stabbed with the dagger he gave to El and his heart goes doki doki considering how unga El is

I'm just happy the final boss is human in two of the paths and even then, the typical dark mage and dragon fuckery isn't in your face this time.
Still waiting on a Fire Emblem game that has neither and is entirely a human affair from start to finish.
Only ones I can think of are FE9 (which gets undone in FE10)

How bad would he spill his spaghetti then?

why the fuck does Lorenz's dad not have a unique portrait?
thought we were past this palette swap phase

Lorenz's dad doesn't appear in the game though, does he?

I fail to understand how people like Dmitri/Blue lions.
>THE BOAR
>THE RATS
>THE DARKNESS WITHIN
>Edginess dripping from every line even pre-timeskip makes me roll my eyes everytime Dmitri opens his mouth.
>every single member has a tragedy in their life I have to care about or else their character falls flat
>Blue Lions don't accomplish anything aside from slaughtering 75% the Adrestian empire and about half of the Alliance army.
>Dmitri dies like an animal in every single route
I love a "Fall from Grace" character, but this is ridiculous. Dmitri is irredeemable and the final chapter music pales in comparison to Claude's and Edelgard's

Attached: kenshin45.jpg (354x280, 19K)

Ashnard's honestly a pretty nice final boss, and is actually a scary threat on a maniac ironman run. It helps that he has a kind of weird charisma to him.

I mean dragons are a staple of the series and 90% of the time are the source of the titular item in each game

The crest of flames is literally a fire emblem in Japanese

Dimitri's final chapter music is literally the same as Edelgard

He starts calling her El again and prevents the war via step sibling sex

He’s just a vanilla social Darwinist which has been done to death.

During part 2 when they're on the world map talking about Count Gloucester's decision to side with the empire, he uses a generic NPCs portrait rather than a unique one.
Guess they couldn't be assed since he doesn't make a physical appearance anyway (which is self is weird since he plays a somewhat major role in his decision to side with the empire at first)

Except Edelgard's map and mission fits it more.

what difficulty do you do this on? this sounds hilarious

>the church of Seiros clearly portrays its goddess as an active participant in the affairs of Fodlan's people
It doesn't. The Church's own scriptures say that the goddess has long since fucked off and left humanity because humanity were such raging assholes and abused the gifts, crests and relics, that she gave them.

>Ferdinand's dad get his own portrait and model just for the Coronation Scene
>Lorenz' dad gets jack shit despite being potentially more usable

Don't BE and BL share the same final boss theme?
Anyway, I guess it's because we hadn't had a character like Dimitri for a main character. Most of the lords either follow the Marth archetype of being a typical boy scout or the Hector archetype of being a superchad.

yes, check the library. It records that the war started in around 1700~ and Seiros killed him in 1790~. Chances are that in the context of Fodlan crestbearers living over a hundred of years isn't rare either.

>when your shitty copypasta gets no replies so you make a new one

Obsessed.

Trying to start shit again now that your bait failed?

seething.

Yeah, just getting tired of the same shit, different dressing formula they've done.
Maybe I just miss different SRPGs in general? Nothing really exist anymore outside FE, XCOM and Disgaea?

People keep comparing him to Edelgard and I honestly can't see it outside of noble bad power good
am I retarded?

Attached: 43439.jpg (823x999, 109K)

Caspar in a nutshell.

>That dancer victory dance

Muh dik

He might mean church tbf

Speaking of that scene, anyone noticed how...empty it seems during cutscenes that aren't the standard everyone gathers to give their one-liner scenes?
Empty in the sense of how the background look likes a green screen and there's never a large group (10+) of people in one area.
Perfect example is the remire village scene where you only see dialogue of the carnage ensuing but don't actually see a large crowd of people fighting/running (although I guess gameplay represents that with the few villagers you fight and save)
I was expecting more people to be at her coronation

>flexibility of the system
there's not even pure lance classes after soldier and half the classes are garbage and have nothing to offer when compared to shit like wyverns or lmao 6 extra damage per hit

People are retards and don’t know what they’re talking about. Edelgard’s the first antagonist we’ve gotten that isn’t a complete mustache twirler since Arvis and people don’t know how to act

Which is still a lie on Rhea's part. And even despite this:
>people pray for protection; western church and Rhea's soldiers both talk about the goddess being with them [in battle]; in Hilda's paralogue with Seteth, Seteth says that the goddess hears, sees and knows all etc. There's even an afterlife the goddess is supposed to be in charge of.
It's clear there's supposed to be some back-and-forth between humans and the goddess, according to the Seiros religion. Not to mention the belief in an afterlife, where your actions in life influence where you end up after death (Rhea and Dimitri call for their enemies to go to "the eternal flames", Leonie hopes that Jeralt's soul goes to heaven). The goddess is supposed to be the one responsible for this afterlife (Marianne prays for the goddess to take her to her). This is clearly an attempt to present the tenets of Seiros as objectively good, since they're supposed to have been ordained by the goddess, who might punish you in the afterlife, if you go against them. That's bullshit as well, since Sothis is dead and Rhea is just making stuff up.

Why is ISIS so scared of just making soldier a staple class

>get to do Annette/Gilbert paralogue
>uncle Dominic is just a generic full plate knight with a helmet to hide the face
fuck just make a generic orange-haired dude how hard it is

Attached: 15765957657.jpg (600x530, 112K)

Attached: bulli.png (1280x720, 981K)

Eh, Lyon wasn't so bad but then again he substitutes that with being an incel

Being Butthurt over a lack of a certain class doesn’t disprove the system being open ended as a whole, and odds are we might get a DLC class or two anyways

Fucking brawling gets a c and a rank class, it has to just be deliberate trolling at this point

Jesus Christ play the game dude specifically the bit about “the eternal flames” is just wrong

kiss the fish

The Immaculate one, Saint Seiros, and Rhea are one and the same She needs different guises to control humanity because she blames them for Sothis' death. That's why she administers death to apostates, because she sees apostacy as the first step to another slaughter. If Rhea wasn't the archbishop the church might not be that big a problem, but because it is led by Rhea or Byleth guided by Rhea, then the church becomes a threat to the freedom of humanity and the sovereignty of each of the nations.
The inquisitions they carried out on the western and eastern churches and the quick judgement brought upon the priests who tried to steal Sothis' remains is proof that the church has become too powerful.
It has to choose between being a vatican which makes it a fair target for war or a religious entity which means they shouldn't be controlling politics.

Dimitri is absolutely a tits man, why do you think he tries so hard to save Edelgard

What are you even arguing?
>the church totally presents Sothis as an absent god
>but the people still pray to her and ask her to do shit and she knows everything they do and she decides what happens to them after they die

Fucking Dimitri unintentionally slaying fish pussy. The fucker knows what he is doing, only person in the game who invites Byleth with them up to the goddess tower.

Which is more easier to write and sell?
>Dark mage summons his dragon and your self insert army of teenagers and 19 year old war vets go to stop him
or
>A war going on for a variety of reasons (trade, religion, government structure, exploitation, etc) where there's no clear good or bad guy (basically real life)
One is going to attract a target audience while the other is going to sound boring to them and piss off the other audience if there's a clear bias shown to whose side is taken (or if the real life correlations are blatantly obvious)

This is my first reply to you, schizoid fuck

You got information blatantly wrong, this one’s my last

Feel free to point them out and correct them then.

The church doesn’t give a single fuck about non-believers and actively employs and houses them

this, short girls with big tits

I about fucking had it with Ashe/Catherine’s paralogue
>4 high lvl assassins spawning at random
>permanent fog
>commander spawns pegasus knights
>yet another commander that spawns heavy armored enemies
Im on my fourth retry so far. I almost break my copy. I fucking suck at FE i know this but this fucking paralogue is about to make me drop this entirely
On hard classic btw

Attached: CA7EBCDE-56A0-4388-BE51-E1391EF5908A.jpg (480x480, 14K)

You are obsessed about theories of things that might happen in game but never do.

The game has several characters in the monastery who doesn't believe in the goddess or has another religion, openly mind you, and Rhea doesn't care.

>becomes a threat to the freedom of humanity and the sovereignty of each of the nations.
>is literally the power that supports the national sovereignty of the alliance and the kingdom

>The maps are boring as shit.
They are the same maps in every route retard. Even timeskip share the same damn maps bar 1 or 2.

haha imagine how embarrassed Adrestrian citizens are that their Emperor is a small girl with big breasts haha like wouldn't be embarrassing to have a short stack as your leader?

He tries to save Edelgard because he had someone reach out and have faith in him at his lowest moments a few times and wants to help her like people helped him. Read his Dedue support. It is far more tragic that the first time he tries to save someone after being healed they throw a dagger into his shoulder.

She doesn’t mind them only because they aren’t a direct threat to the power structure she has built up, individual non believers here and there aren’t much of an issue. When you have entire factions like the western church try to start shit is when she has a problem

Wasn't just the Kingdom that got the Church's backing where as the Alliance it was more of a 'we can't be assed with this, fine here, have your independance'?

Imagine the hatesex

>On hard classic btw
I laugh at you. Come back when you're playing Maddening.

I fail to understand how people like Edelgard/Black eaglez.
>THE CRESTS
>THE BLACK EAGLE STRIKE FORCE
>THE TRAGIC PAST
>Cringiness dripping from every line even pre-timeskip makes me roll my eyes everytime Edelgard opens hier mouth.
>every single member has a tragedy in their life I have to care about or else their character falls flat
>Black eagles don't accomplish anything aside from cleaning up Edelgard's messes every chapter
>Edelgard dies like a retard in every single route beside her own
I love a "Character struggling with their past" character, but this is ridiculous. Edelgard is irredeemable.

Attached: 8184f459-838e-44cd-af09-c5ea91f3b5a8.png (1118x738, 806K)

I like CF for not doing Ailell for the gorillionth time. And it’s unique maps are the best in the game.

Edelgard is also busted as fuck

Help me with this paralogue user
Bump

Well there's a reason why Dimitri looks back at Edelgard's corpse with a forlorn frown, in fact Byleth needs to nudge him as a 'hey man, you can't save them all' thing.

don't turtle
use torch
rush the left and right sides and kill bishops before they call reinforcements like the game tells you
go up on the left side and bottom on the right side

Honestly Dimitri is lucky she didn’t bullseye him in the jugular, was the only way the sappy fuck was gonna get it through his skull they could not coexist

I use Edelgard’s actions in Church/GD as a basis for this too, she knows the implications of what happens if she’s left alive

No and it’s literally part of edelgard’s manifesto that the church’s support of the alliance is proof that they are a threat to fodlan

All of Duscur is an individual believer now? How about Almyra? The people who are only separated by a string of mountains? She doesn't even care much that the empire kicked out the church as long as they don't start wars. Face the facts presented to you user, you are wrong. The western church wanted more power and is literally infested with Slithers egging them into rebellion.

Edelgard is fucking shit outside of her stupid axe art. Slow fat bitch never doubled anything and got doubled all the time.
>hurr use 4 durability of axe relic to attack again
meanwhile my Petra, Byleth and Ferdinand just doubled

cant beat the dragon pussy

House with Gold colors= Verdant Wind
It's like they were too pussy to say "Vento Aureo"

>she knows the implications of what happens if she’s left alive
She apparently doesn’t know the implications of how the people of faerghus treat regicide

is that a MOTHERFUCKIN

I sincerely hope you didn't keep her as the Emperor class.

HELP ME user HOW DO I BEAT THE PARALOGUE

How would you do an evil/morally ambiguous route for Blue Lions/Golden Deer?
I'm reminded of that false leak from pre-release threads where Claude was falseflagging the other two countries while feigning neutrality.

>MC's name covered up
user...

This is so fucking autistic. In the whole game we are never shown religious intolerance towards non-believers. Even Dedue who is shown on screen being treated like shit isn’t ridiculed for his beliefs

Have Dimitri stay in his KILL EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM mode longer and commit war crimes like attacking Adrestrian civilian towns as a fuck you to the Empire.

I like to self insert dont judge me

And potential future rebellions from Empire loyalists knowing that she’s still alive.

>He thinks Edelgard was actually trying to kill Dimitri with that last strike.

I refuse to believe even in her weakened post Hegemon state she couldn’t have hit a vital point from that close. She clearly did it to force his hand and make him kill her

You’d have to dramatically rewrite Claude to make this happen desu.

Dimitri would be quite easy and in fact judging by the unused dialogue may have been planned at some point

Jesus Christ this delusion, it’s not like dimitri sits still, and it’s not like she was far from the heart

I take it as ISIS not wanting to go on the route of talking about politically-driven religious wars.
You know typical JRPG surface level church bad with no context plot

>All of Duscur is an individual believer now?
Unfortunately, it looks like we missed one in 1176

Attached: 1563387325143.png (800x800, 506K)

>it’s an edeltard still hasn’t figured out she’s a psychopath episode

Hubert is the one who tells you about he slitherers in GD, not edelgard. That’s all that needs to be said. She doesn’t care.

>unused dialogue
what

historically decapitation is considered a pretty gruesome and humiliating way to die since your head (face - what typically defines you when people think of you) is separated from the rest of your body

I’m glad jormund made an impression on people

One thing that seemed strange to me was that despite being subhuman, the Duscans never actually used a beast transformation.

No one cares how some random autist “takes it”, what matters is what’s actually presented in game. This delusion is unhealthy

Dedue literally does though.

Black of skin is full of sin.

How is that even remotely related to my post

I miss Matsuno
Though with how the climate has been very politically intense the last decade has been, its for the best to leave it in the past and just go full Isekai

not him, but /ourgirl/ Annette and Felix were at one point planned to betray you in BL
youtu.be/iG35-BifhWI
youtu.be/Nxc--LNrzZQ

based

>he doesn't know

Why would you have to rewrite it? In BE route that's basically what he does, he spends all his time corralling the Alliance nobility into staying neutral to deny Edelgard a route into the Kingdom and continue having 'bandits' leak into their territory. By staying neutral, he prevents the war from escalating until one side gets an overwhelming force, i.e. recruits Byleth.

To play that more aggressively or evil, all you'd have to do is him keep the Alliance neutral while working with the Slithers to get full and fat with slaves, test subjects, and atrocities without getting them done in his name.

That's basically the key -Whomever the Slithers try and subvert, winds up being the bad guy. It would have been great if they'd changed the person who's at the center of their schemes, or if they had been working on all three house heads and it's Byleth's influence that would stop them from falling for Slither tricks. It's basically what happens in Crimson Flower route, by standing up with and by Edelgard she isn't forced into fully falling for their shit and turning into a total psychopath, having just that one person who's a good influence makes a difference. Just have that happen with every other faction more, and it'd really make the story more morally gray.

>every single member has a tragedy in their life I have to care about or else their character falls flat
What are fernidads, lins and Caspars tragedy pre timeskip? they lived happy lives up to that point

>every single member has a tragedy in their life I have to care about or else their character falls flat
That actually applies to Blue Lions and I love Blue Lions. Like the other user said, Ferdinand, Lindhart and Caspar don't have a tragic past.

>she isn't forced into fully falling for their shit and turning into a total psychopath
I've seen this sort of thing posted a lot and I don't get it. Why do people act as if she goes mad outside of her route? She acts fairly consistently in all the routes and she's never shown to be fully on board with cooperating with slithers. She's clearly happy about Arundel's death after the Derdriu mission on BL, for one.

This game should just be BL or GD and all the maps in those two, Church is a discount GD and BE is cut short and only has like 2 cutscenes. Ironic Edel is the most advertised character but Dimitri and Claude have more complete routes

>I'll take that head from your shoulders AND HANG IT FROM THE GATES OF EMBARR!!

It was an obvious copy paste from what someone said about BL and some triggered faggot repurposed it for BE. Ignore

>no u
lmao boartards seething. Seems having single digit IQ is a requirement to enjoy BL.

easily one of my favorite cutscenes in 3H.

>Try to Marry Marianne
>She Marries (You) instead

Absolute mad lass

Because people play one route and completely ignore what happens in other routes if it doesn’t fit their headcanon of the impression they have of characters from said route

>easily worst gameplay in any FE game in 10 years
>good

Just face it, people only like it for the characters.

>head down looks like an autist
>yandere meme face
>hehehehehe
High octane dogshit

Nah, BE actually has a different and unique scenario to it. BL and GD are basically the same campaign, only with GD having a followup to the defeat of the empire. I agree on the Church route redundant, but instead, I feel they should have found some excuse to do Gronder 2.0 on BE and then rework GD, so that it actually feels like its own route, rather than having it be the same as BL for 8 chapters and then only actually do something unique for the last 2.

She goes off the deep end later in a lot of routes. Just going Hegemony or even taking credit for a lot of the Slither's shit is pretty inconsistent with her BE characterization - In there, it's clear that she's preparing already for a second war with the slithers and that she hates their guts, and her and hubert both talk about how to both claim victory without giving too much ground to their allies.

Meanwhile, in every other route, she's 100% on board with whatever the Slithers are shitting out and often is posed as being in charge of a lot of their shit. Just the appearance of Hegemon version is a pretty sharp slip-up.

In BE, she specifically condemns things like using crest stones to create monsters and a lot of things that just become second nature to the other routes. She might not WANT to cooperate with the slithers, but in the 5 years later, she's FORCED to do so completely, and probably has no other support structure to do anything other than suck slither cock all day.

>She goes off the deep end later in a lot of routes

Literally only BL. And the biggest knock people have in her using civilians as a shield is one upped by Rhea in CF

user, the slithers still create crest beast in her route, Arundel even asks Hubert for help in dealing with a couple of them that went rogue- she doesn’t use them in her army, but still allows them to be created.

I wouldn't say the characterization changes between routes. You're just not let in on the knowledge of Edelgard and Hubert's plans, since you're not fighting by their side. Both BL and GD make it clear that the Empire and Slitherers don't see eye to eye - BL has the scene after Arundel's death and GD has Hubert informing you of Shambhala.
I don't remember Edelgard ever outright condemning the use of crest beasts, even when Kingdom soldiers do it at Tailtean on BE. The Empire is still working with Arundel's people on BE and Hubert's paralogue even has you help them reign in their crest beasts. The furthest she goes is turning into Hegemon for BL's final boss and even then it's not so outlandish to strike me as being out-of-character for her, especially since she's able to turn back to her normal form afterwards. I mean, when fighting Dimitri on BE, she straight-up says that there's nothing she wouldn't sacrifice for her dreams.

GD's reunion was more comfy.

The little smile and greeting with Claude saying he never gave up on you coming back felt more heartwarming compared to BL where the first thing that happens when Dimitri sees you is ask if you're a ghost that's haunting him.

By the way, is Dimitri haunted by the ghost of Edelgard after he kills her in BL?

Yes. That's why he gets so violent in bed with Marianne.

He dies young no matter what so probably. I doubt the voices in his head telling him to hurt people ever went away

In context of the other routes, Edelgard basically becomes a mass-murdering, evil-creating warmonger, and we never really get any information that there's much more to it.

It's possible that she's always got the ambiguity that went into the BE route, that she's trying not to fall prey to the Slither's ambitions and such, but there's no evidence of it - In fact, it seems much more likely that she's taking credit for and encouraging their dark deeds. It makes sense; She's got no other support, so she winds up relying on the obvious evil and winds up taking their goals as her own. Who's going to encourage her, Hubert? Hubie's fine with using whatever resources and probably sent Edelgard down a darker path without anyone to call them out on their bullshit.

It just seems like she goes much further on other routes in an attempt to get her momentum back. The slithers might be using foul means, but Edelgard constantly tries to get civilian casualties to a minimum and aims for swift, useful fights in BE, while it seems like she's behind every massacre and evil beast in other routes. She also seems to act much more unhinged.

It's like how Rhea goes straight into burning down her own city in order to slightly inconvenience you at the end of BE, they mess with people's characterization to make a better story in each route.

>GD
>one note characters

Chadnatz
>pre timeskip has low self confidence because he feels guilty for Raphael's parents being killed
>post timeskip extremely confident and extremely level headed - crit quotes go from "Sorry!" To "No Mercy" "I wasn't about to let you live"

Lysithea
>hates to be treated like a child because she won't have much time to live as an adult
>knows her family will die with her
>eat sweets because its probably the only thing that help cope with the pain from crest experiments

Marianne
>have the crest of a fallen angel, rumored to make you a werewolf
>constantly harassed by people with family killed by the Beast
>only religious because she hopes to have the strength to commit suicide

Actually it's a known fact that those with Crests have more a sweet-tooth than those without so Lysithea's sweets addiction is probably because of double crests, hell even Edelgard admits she'd want nothing more than to gorge herself on cake.

Dies young meme again.

Jesus christ Marianne
is that why she doesn't appear outside GD route?

One person harasses her. No one else cares about the crest. Boy, sure is tough there Marianne.

Felix exists and disproves that.

Felix just refuses to try them after many years without eating them. When he finally tries some cake, he doesn't even really dislike it.

Yes, in her A support she explains Byleth is the reason she decided to live instead. She offs herself if you don't recruit her.

>One person
>The regular students spread rumors she's with the Slithers
>Even the other girls in her house beside Hilda bully her in their initial support
>Probably blamed for her dead parents

Bros, I miss the magic of pre-release hype

It kinda undermines the efforts of the other golden deers. They tried their best too and kinda succeeded in getting her out.

I don't see how what you say is supported in the games. Aside from the bit about Rhea being a dragon, Edelgard explains her motives for fighting against the church very clearly in the other routes, when she's giving a speech to her knights after ascending the throne. As I mentioned before, both BL and GD make it pretty clear that Edelgard's goals were different from the Slitherers'. GD is even more overt and straight up talks about how Edelgard was going to destroy them. I believe Hilda literally says that you're the ones who have to defeat them now, because Edelgard is dead. Even before the timeskip, it's pretty clear that Flame Emperor and the Slitherers aren't entirely in league, especially when Flame Emperor says that Thales and co. will never be forgiven for what they did in Remire or Duscur.
>while it seems like she's behind every massacre and evil beast in other routes. She also seems to act much more unhinged.
What massacres are you even talking about? The worst you get is a mention of how Edelgard didn't evacuate civilians from Enbarr before the final battle. It's not like imperial soldiers are murdering anybody they please across the continent. It's true her army uses crest beasts, but you're also shown early on that it's the slitherers' input into the war, which is consistent with what's presented in BE. Finally, " She also seems to act much more unhinged." is such a vague statement, that I don't even have a hope of guessing what you meant by this, if anything specific at all.
>It's like how Rhea goes straight into burning down her own city in order to slightly inconvenience you at the end of BE, they mess with people's characterization to make a better story in each route.
Rhea's descent into madness isn't really too unbelievable either. We're shown she can be a bit loony from the very first scene in the game, when she's cradling a bloodied sword and calling it "Mother". [cont]

I thought it was people with two Crests that had a sweet tooth. One Crest isn't enough.

Marianne literally tells Byleth that the dude from her paralogue isn't the only one

Based otomestacy
