A shame you didn't add a bigger banner
i'd make it even smaller
god I hate the "tablet aesthetics" so much
franchise view would also be cool
steam gui hahahahahaha
VALVE
UNIRONICALLY HIRE THIS MAN
it's hard to make something more shitty than pic related, they need to fire somebody else instead
I like what they're trying to do as steam's UI has needed an overhaul for a while, and after the friends/chat and store page update this was inevitable, but there are some serious issues that need to be fixed before this goes live - though I do have every confidence they will be fixed as all the problems I had with the new friends list got patched before live.
Most of the issues have to do with visibility of important content, and as such the biggest issues are...
>HOME and collection buttons do not need to be in the games list, takes up way too much space
>search result dropdown, recent and activity buttons also need to be axed from that list
all of these things should be compressed into the search bar, or perhaps even moved to library settings
>font on games needs to be way smaller, I went from seeing ~60 games on my list to only 14 (I have 63 installed and in my 'playing' collection)
>no icons next to the game name, or at the very least an option to hide it like before
that fixes most of the issues with the game list, now the main frame
>dlc needs to be visible like before
>option to disable all community content from appearing when scrolling
>achievements need to be up top as well
>none of this side by side activity and information shit, info at top, and then optional community stuff at the bottom
>less white space between the different elements
>friends currently playing the game should appear up on the game banner where the collection it belongs to is currently displayed
there, fixed
ah yes, launching games from DOS via command line...*sip* now that was a good time
Steam is for retards. IT doesn't NEED FIXING IT IS JUST FIKNEENNEE!!!!
>>option to disable all community content from appearing when scrolling
you can do this from steam -> settings -> library, but then you just get an empty page basically
>adding store stuff into the library
Fuck you, you're the cancer
if you don't want to buy games then you might as well pirate and used icons on your desktop
>using command line
>not having shortcut .bat on C:\, to launch it with 5 or less keystrokes after dos starts
searching by store tags is awesome. now hopefully we can get steam users to stop being retarded so that they don't tag sleeping dogs with racing
>volvo
Shame Saab Automobiles are a thing of the past. They were the superior company.
Thanks, Yea Forums. Stealing this.

i want to see relevant info about the game i'm playing front and center, not more fucking ads for games i either don't care or already own.
Xbox generation are fucking idiots.
i hope you are gaben
the point of recommended games is that you technically care about them, since you play similar stuff
You can remove community content in the library settings
yeah, in order to have it empty, very nice redesign volvo
>volvo
Fuck Sweden.
No algorithm ever suggested anything i don't already know about or could be interested.
Wow, i have two of those, huh
That's a lot of time just going through the queue.
Someone link the booru with the new banner images
UGH STEAM IS TOO... PC-LIKE
but sleeping dogs does have racing
tags are great and banner part of game page is nice, but what we really need is ability to customize page content
I hate the new UI, where's my option to just show the game covers and nothing else? Now there's always a list on the left and I can't click it away. I also why can't I just type the game name without clicking on anything, like I could with many Steam skins, I have to type it into the search bar. And why do so many game covers just don't work? Even very recent games.
>store page implemented in library
I fucking like it, hate having to go to a different section of the program to look at relevant stuff
apparently valve notified devs about new covers and banners a year ago, they just didn't bother
it's shit. just use igdb.
yeah i think the vast majority of these are never gonna get updated. why don't they just use AI to pull images from the internets?
Because copyright
theres people who actually give a shit about steam achievements?
my friend SAM and I do
yes
Unironically the only reason why I keep playing EU4 after 300 hours. Achievement hunting can give you a hard goal to work towards.
>playing vanilla EU4
>playing EU4 at all
cringe
Fuck off you brain dead niggers. This is almost the equivalent of having ads in your own games library. How hard is it to click on store?
The old steam UI is going away, it's not like we have a choice faggot
it's fun, as long as they aren't completely unreasonable
that's a mockup retard
I wonder if people just never noticed that "store page" button was always there both in old and new ui
Why would I not want that though? Gaming is a consumerist hobby.
>caring at all about Steam UI when pic related exist
you DID get into the beta right?
>use a launcher to manage all your launchers!!
ugh
Thanx Gaben, it only took you 15 years to make something nicer.
>only the Library changed
>wishlist still garbage
kek
>How hard is it to click on store?
if you have over 1000 games it's unironically a hassle.
for example,i myself, once a year i go through all my games to check whatever there has been an update, any new dlcs, new achievements, new entries from the franchise, etc... and being able to see everything at a glance from the library would be a lot more efficient.
plus it makes sense from volvo's perspective, since more people buy stuff
i might try it once it's out of beta
Why do you nerds care so much? Just click a game and play I mean god who gives a hoot what it looks like.
if i wanted to click a game and play it, i'd pirate it
>expecting Gaben to give legal consent to this
it literally already works
It doesn\t use SteamAPI because its too slow, so you log in directly to steam
I will report each of the threads you try to make about this stupid garbage
just so you know
no advertising
and especially not for dumb shit that only retards could think is neat
I have no idea what you're talking about. Why would I be advertising for a free software? Are you retarded?
Yea Forums is becoming like /g/ with their desktop threads, spending more time tuning up your gay launchers than actually playing games.
