wtf bros you told me iceborne was a flop
we cant keep losing like this....

Damn Daemon X Machina getting BTFO. Meanwhile Monster Hunter World still doing numbers on PS4.

>28k in a mecha game...bad
Keep seething

Astral flop
HUE!

>Minecraft
>9M
>and thats just the Switch version

Is MC the biggest western game in Japan ever?
They fucking love that shit

>Memelands outsold DXM
What the fuck

Numbers are wrong... I think its 920k

>– 28,149 (New
pretty good sales especially for the genre

Do we know vintage sales for games such as Armored Core and Zone of the Enders?

>[NSW] Daemon X Machina (Marvelous, 09/13/19) – 28,149 (New)
Who the hell bought this? How did it chart this high?

>28k for DxM

Wow. That's pretty high.

>stop buying what I dislike OR ELSE
absolutely seething

I don't dislike the game. I like it but thought it would omega flop in Japan

>[NSW] Daemon X Machina (Marvelous, 09/13/19) – 28,149 (New)
Not terrible for a mecha game but could be better.

Although I wonder how the game actually is in full as I enjoyed the demo and am considering picking it up.

It's on par with the xbox version of ac4a, which seems like a flop, but we don't know the extent of voucher sales yet. It's very high on the eShop. Regardless, it isn't stellar

>but we don't know the extent of voucher sales yet
No vouchers in Japan for this game since its not published by Nintendo
>Regardless, it isn't stellar
You are comparing it to a release from over 10 years ago. I'd compare it to the Zone of Ender 2nd runner remaster

Nobody expected more than 10nk for this one, it's not great, but not the disaster everyone expected.
No vouchers for this game in Japan, is doing good in the eShop by itself.

Isn't this the lowest number a MH expansion launch ever got there?

>Xbox One X – 62 (16,549)
This is just fucking sad.

Yup. Japan's waning interest in Monster Hunter will be an issue if/when the West loses interest in like 2-3 games. For some games I'd say this wouldn't happen, but Capcom has a history of just fucking up series.

They just need to put the next main entry on switch

they need to not make a shitty game like world again

Sony won.

World was fun to play through but I think it got boring really fast.

I wonder what Microsoft Japan's marketing budget is for the Xbox these days?

But only if Devil may Cry 2 does well on the eshop

>in like 2-3 games
Bruh casuals already lost interest. Iceborne sold much better in the west, but nowhere near as well as the base game.

It'll be faster than that. Iceborne is more of the same, World2 will be more of the same with swimming, etc.
Japan was fine with buying ~3 million copies of those a year, but I don't think even the AAA marketing budget World got will keep the CoD kids interested.

Where is Astral chain bro?????

Not even 400k and it's beet about 2 weeks since launch? That's fucking terrible for a Monster Hunter expansion in Japan.

they make more money with world than they did with the older games. Being easy attract whales that will empty their bank account in your shop. Way more profitable than gamers.

>even Iceborne couldnt break 200k
Holy shit. Anyone else noticing jap sales going lower and lower compared to last year?
I fear for Code Vein. It's probably going to sell 20k copies or so.

OP is a retard and somehow fucked up copy pasting some text. It's 900k, not 9 million.

Attached: 1565635838751.png (687x376, 93K)

I highly doubt that considering world had an actual budget not to mention the marketing whle the old games were cheap as FUCK to make

10位(先週9位) Switch Minecraft
8051本(累計:92万3522本)/日本マイクロソフト/2018年6月21日発売

It is 923522, OP added a 0, probably by accident

Damn I actually forgot this. This was a big week for PS4 meaning that this thread will probably die early.

And a comma? Gematsu fucked it up.

True, according to gematsu it sold 923 copies and approximately half a copy.

>new IP
>Mecha
>almost 30K
>ITS A FLOP

Attached: Do you Brain Problems.jpg (599x337, 20K)

probably 11th

Attached: Charts.jpg (3095x766, 671K)

You mad for something so little...

user I know most japs dont buy games but 30k is kusoge tier sales. You know what else sells for these kind of numbers? Neptunia shit, senran kagura and other third rate JRPGs that no one else plays

Attached: ss (2019-09-18 at 10.45.58).png (951x727, 35K)

It was 2.5 million a couple days after release.

2.5 million accounting for physical and digital sales*

Worldwide.

to

>2.5M
>WW
>on an expansion of a 11M base
thats a pretty big dip

>I fear for Code Vein. It's probably going to sell 20k copies or so.

I see 100K in first week but then drop significantly into low 5-digit numbers

2.5 million shipments + sales globally, not in Japan you fucking retard.

>DxM selling well
>riding BL3's ass
>DxM is like that T-rex chasing the crew in the jeep in Jurrasic Park

Man what a time to be alive, if DxM passes up BL3 I'll do a fuckin flip.
Oh god, I'd fuckin lose it if DxM pass

Attached: tread machine.jpg (960x729, 45K)

That's very highly optimistic.
Code Vein isnt even in the amazon.jp top 10 and it's out next week.
For comparison, Astral Chain was been in the top sellers for weeks and despite that only managed to rake in 31k on its opening then completely dropped off in the 3rd week.

>Switch - 8,971,941
Jesus christ it can't be stopped

Nice switch lite's release is gonna coincide 9m switch in Japan and lite was stated to have at least 150,000 units with stores ordering more units.

Wait until the Switch Lite, Pokemon and Animal Crossing release

>DxM couldn't even sell 30k
Yikes, just one flop after another.
>inb4 "but it sold 1 million with vouchers"

>DxM is selling
Thank God. I hope they get more success

World sold 12M after about a year. Comparing the first week of DLC sales to a year old game is just reaching.
It also won't ever be recorded properly since 80% of IB's sales are gonna be digital and will only be published when Capcom decides to.

the duality of man

Except 2.5m is the combined numbers of physical and digital.

Daemon x Machina is still top 1 digital seller in japanese Switch store.

Does the chart consider eshop voucher sales?

It doesn't. Astral Chain sold really well

Can someone explain to me what this ear meme is?

I believe this does not account for digital sales, this is for the bundled mhw+iceborne package.

Did people really think that a fucking mecha game would flop in Japan?

store.nintendo.co.jp/dl-soft/ranking.html?page=1

based

Totally forgot Marvelous is publishing in JP, but yeah, it's doing well on the eShop there. The ZoE remaster on PS4 did 19k first week, so those DxM numbers are pretty good in that context. I'm actually enjoying DxM a lot. I wish it was a little more challenging, but I've accepted at this point it's about getting an arsenal ready for pvp

Iceborne alone is at 80-90k. The package is 280k. Also note that japan is not very keen on downloading games digitally, they are far more likely to buy games physically. The digital sales likely won't make a massive difference.

>Astral Chain sold really well
lol

>This was a big week for PS4
>Still gets outsold 2-1 in hardware
lol

>nobody even unironically remembers the Azur Lane game
lel

>3 multiplats in top 10
>big week for ps4
Lmao

That's about as big as it gets for Sony these days.

>No three houses

>inb4 no it's just literally the only game that is ever bought digitally in japan

The cut-off is 8k, only the extreme evergreen sellers reach that after release. It's been almost two months. It'll be there when they release the full top 30 in a few days.
