And you couldn't even argue that it's a consequence of taking, because it is factionally selective. I doubt princess de sardet was a lumberjack. The Malichor fucks with absolutely everyone from the continent who lives on it, no exceptions. The only way to escape that would be to live on Tir Fradee for a longtime, and become part of it's cycle.

There's no set rule, doing main quests before some sidequests will fuck you over, delaying some sidequests till after main quests will lead to a bit of extra stuff.
Just don't worry about it and do whatever seems the most important to you.

Subjective but for me I suppose the highs are that De Sardet is great and has no qualms about whipping out his political title when needed.
I also like that builds can have an effect on how you solve a problem and what you know in-game.

Lows would be that some quests don't change a damn thing and feel like you can do them way earlier than you are meant to, some bombshells get dropped but aren't commented on.
