ctrl + f = Underrail
Nothing.
Lets fix that.
And remember Yea Forums, we Underrail now.
Ctrl + f = Underrail
Someone sum it up in a short description. What are the best qualities of Underrail? Never looked at it and I've seen these threads go on for eons.
Fallout but more stuff to do
this
it's a spiritual successor
so basically it copies a lot of things but doesn't hesitate to learn from some of the things fallout got wrong
like now you can click on a screen transition anywhere in the map from anywhere in the map and go there instead of having to gradually click further and further in front of your character
Are there enough stuns to make Thick Skull worth it? It's been a while since I played last.
Remember that somewhere in this thread there might be a poisonous roof nigger.
Shut the fuck up with your /x/ bullshit retard. Kill yourself.
>Are there enough stuns to make Thick Skull worth it?
Are you derailed? Stuns are one of the most annoying things to deal with in the entire game, they're everywhere, and there are only a few ways of reliably resisting them.
Altogether, there's a lot of things like this that make it easier to play.
Like a tutorial, or a compass item you get right at the start along with a map that makes navigating generally much easier
It's not easier in a "fukken casuls" kinda way
More in a "we aren't in the early wild west of vidya anymore and we can have games measured in gigabytes instead of kilobytes that you can play without a 100 page manual" kinda way
personally I couldn't enjoy the fallouts but can't stop playing this
while I've seen people come into these threads and say it's shittier than fallout
all a matter of opinion I suppose
Lots of very unique viable builds, massive world that I think is really well built. Probably best hours of entertainment to cost ratio of any single player story driven game I've ever played
Sorry, I only played like a couple years ago way before the expansion and I'm only now coming back.
Thank you for the reply.
You will no longer insta lose to someone casting telekinetic punch, still pretty annoying it doesnt work on incapacitation
Here's a list of what to look out for:
Poisonous roof niggers
Crossbow niggers
Robots with flashbangs and tasers, and the occasional NPCs with them, sometimes even your own allies
Psionics and Azuridae
POISONOUS
ROOF
No worries, user, I was being a bit facetious. Have fun!
NIGGERS
>Searching up machete builds on youtube
>Some slavic guy has a shit load of videos with builds
>He made it so lockpicking and hacking exceed 300 effective skill
How can someone with so much experience be so fucking dumb
>be me
>playing pure tincan sledge
>sign up with Coretech because I need some cool electrohammer/taser tech
>get up to the mercenary warehouse section
>fucking swarmed and perma-stunned/netted, getting instantly gangbanged because they all directly go for me
>they all directly go for me
>decide to see if I can cheese the AI
>pic related
>effective skill
whats that?
STUCK ON FIRST DLC QUEST
I'm stuck on the first expedition quest. I don't know if this is bugged or not.
>Defeated the first raid of natives then armed the beach with traps expecting another one.
>Got the quest to find the RFID chip in sector B7.
>Bypass muties with stealth into the WEST DEPOT
>Search the whole facility and kill all the strongman and crabs
>Fixed 1 pump,
>Can't fix second because mechanics are too low
>Vault 2 won't open from from console
>No rfid chip anywhere
>Get back, muties attack me even though i used stealth to bypass them.
>Slaugter half of the natives villages
>Still no second native attack, base status unchanged
>Found ferryman, no quests from him
>Can't progress it seems
What do i do now ? Is this shit busted or am i missing something. Where is that fucking rfid chip ?
I had such good hopes for this DLC and it seems i got dabbed on.
Apex work, user!
Make some Bullhead already.
Your skill after modifiers (from attributes etc); even endgame you don't need more than half that for hacking and lockpicking.
Lmao haven't gone Coretech yet wtf
>psi punches
>the entirety of crossbow niggs
>crawlers
>rampaging pigs
>hammer stuns
Good nuff to matter.
(in the dark)
You can still do everything in the dlc without quests telling you to do them
What level should my character be for the DLC? Am level 12.
Impressive levels of dumbfuckery.
Go down again, repair pumps, go down into the cave below, back up, fight the handymen, get the guys dead hand, return. One job soldier. One job.
The dead dude you get the chip of is on the floor you enter the west depot. You can see the dead dude but the door's stuck. You have to go under and up to get at it. As i remember you fix one pump then jump down where the second pump is.
I also stealthed it and the muties didnt seem bothered. Dunno what happened for you there.
are you talking about nerdcommando?
15 is the minimum I've heard
>this ridiculous submission to Major Briggs where he literally chokes you and you take it like a bitch on the pier in Core despite having merrily genocided your way through numerous areas already, became the local champion, single-handedly murdered Balor and co etc
Where the fuck did it even come from? How come you're the toughest shit in the whole universe in the base game, then suddenly you take it up the ass from this random army faggot with barely a whimper?
Does the dev write self-insert homoerotic fanfiction with Briggs or what?
> go to B7 to get dat chip
> Wesley somehow thinking that a random-ass stranger on a shitty jet ski that wants to get a desiccated arm from some guy that's been dead for decades will cause the Vikings to attack them
> no dialogue to call his reasoning idiotic (just put it behind Persuation 10, or maybe Intelligence 3 check)
> only option to get inside is to give some random mutants a hugely valuable supply of meds (...for fucking what?!) or be a complete shitheel and Intimidate them with genocide
> fuck that, I'll just sneak around, I just need a tiny thing from the warehouse and I'm gone, why would anyone even care about any of that
> get chip, pop cloaking device to sneak out to surface
> entire camp magically hostile
> fucking what
> flowery descriptions of what NPC's are doing during dialogue somehow even more flowery than base game
> bby
> bby pls
> (pls)
So far, the only decent thing about this DLC is the bromance between the Southerner guide and the Northerner merchant. I suppose the architecture of those warehouses is interesting, too, but what the actual fuck happened to writing? It's never been amazing, but this is just bizarre.
I mean, it has to get better, right?
>Hey hey people
>/pol/ here
15 is good, dependso, on how geared and dominating your build is, can you beat most of the arena, preferably all of it, then I say you're ready, you'll probably come back to underrail once you get a few levels
If I physically click 80 points into lockpicking the number in brackets beside it is what it actually will let me lockpick because of how DEX or whatever corresponding trait effects it. It'll be like 80(113) and the 113 is what you can actually lockpick barring you use a MK3 or something
Why is melee combat so satisfying? Feels so good to hack rathounds apart with a motherfucking machete.
Just to get all these questions out of the way.
>Oddity if you like exploring and don't mind slower levelling. Classic if you want to level faster.
>You can bypass the 60 persuasion skill check with the faceless at Rail Crossing if you've found out about the Acid Hunters from Hugo
>Crafting is always useful
>Intimidation is never useful unless you use Yell
>Use traps to deal with crawlers/death stalkers and buy detection goggles from Ezra/Katherine/any electronics merchant (or craft a pair)
>Use a psi build if you want to get the most lore
>All builds are viable but some are more broken than others
>If you don't have enough tailoring to craft mutated dog leather armour, you can find one on a dead scrapper after the Eels vs. Scrappers battle
>There is no correct difficulty, if you're really struggling but don't want to do a total restart, you can export your character and start on a new difficulty with all the same items.
>Anybody who says DOMINATING is the "correct" difficulty should be hung.
I went at 12 and got absolutely fucked. I'd recommend going 15 at least and 17 to be safe.
I'll be honest I did everything in that level and couldn't find the fucking chip hand anywhere, I was just running around the entire complex thinking I missed something, from what I remember the body is in a really awkward place in the room
How the fuck are all you nerds aggroing the muties.
>t-they said the nigger word, p-pol at it again
Any time I have to call some retarded faggot sir it really grinds my gears, I'm nobodies bitch in this game, let's be real I'm the invictus
Can you "UNGA BUNGA ME HIT WITH STICK " in uderrail?
I wanna do a melee/psi hybrid. What build do I go with?
Now just wait until you start critting one shots everywhere
>Underrail
not so fast. Yea Forums already tricked me into buying Atom RPG and Wastelands 2. I ain't falling for another similar game.
not only is that an option
but it's one of the optimal builds
A regular zoner like you, the Invictus? Get out of here.
A pretty standard one is mind control/psychokinesis monk with fist weapons. Amazing synergy.
>Start working for the Protectorate
>"So yeah, there's something off up north, go pls check"
>Its a hidden Drone hideout
>Spend an hour trying to toss nades and other shit in there as literally anything in there deletes me in one shot
Stealthy builds on hard where stealth isn't an option savage your ass so deep its not even funny. Surely the next mission about an AI research facility is much more easy.
EZRA WHAT DID YOU DO TO DEPOT A?
Yeah its a bit jarring especially if you're some tin can juggernaut not a sneaky nigga like me, but it does just let you kill him after he chokes you so up to you how much your pride is worth.
my personal favorite is psi monk because then force emission lets your psi abilities directly improve your melee abilities
otherwise whatever melee weapon you prefer
>dude just reload the save until you get the best grenade throw or land a crit lamo!
Nice game niggers
>> no dialogue to call his reasoning idiotic
Well, there actually is one after you bring the meds if you have high enough INT but Wesley is more or less depicted as a cunt either way so it wouldn't change much, you can still kill the muties, the Ferryman will bitch about it a bit but it's nothing major.
Daddy Briggs choking you is a lot more aggravating.
honestly wouldn't be so bad if there was a check for it, like that one scientist in Core City who you can feed their own poison
like maybe enough Str and/or Con you just power through it and glare at him
Maybe Intimidation to tell him he'd better let you go or else.
Maybe Dex or Dodge to just fucking dodge the grab
HE DINDU NUFFIN. IT WAS A DOPPELGANGER
The real sequel to fallout 1 and 2.
>let's be real I'm the invictus
Nothing. It must have been my... doppelganger.
If you have to savescum, either your build sucks or you suck. Probably both.
HOLY SHIT GUYS I FOUND IT
>It was right next to the glowing Power Substation Unit,
>The corpse didn't highlight when tab/z was, pressed. You have to hoover over it.
>Literally Searched for it inch by inch in every room like in the dude quests.
WEW
I think the mutie stuff is fine, 1) He's a crazy old mutated dude, clearly not going to have a perfectly logical mindset. 2) He has a lot more to fear than you as you're just gonna jet ski off again. 3) He's been around the natives a lot longer and is worried by the increase in their activity the expedition has caused.
I don't mind it when it's appropriate - showing (likely faked) respect to people makes everything easier. Problem is, it doesn't really make sense in this case - sure, Briggs wants soldiers rather than gladiators so a measure of professionalism is to be expected or he'd just simply not take you, but the instant you're in Vikingland you're working as a mercenary, which is ultimately who you are.
Just... don't force me to be a meek bitchboy when I'm single-handedly doing as much work as your entire fucking camp, and the instant I don't salute Daddy Briggs is here to dole out the punishment.
Stealth characters should go drones right, kind of defeats the purpose, nade and burst and doorway
Same happened to me, i just genocided those freaks. Felt kinda bad about it for a while.
Exactly, pretty sure that's why I couldn't find it either
not really
it plays nothing like fallout and is far more combat focused, which it does far better than fallout ever did
Throwing skill
extremely merited fear
Yeah the str/dex options would definitely be a huge improvement, but I think that's one of the problems with the who being the invictus thing. This world is meant to still be dangerous to you, you're not a god just some dude who wins most of the time through good preparation i.e. 10 beartraps. Basically I don't mind as much because I like still feeling like I'm not the absolute Apex predator even though I've definitely murdered more humanoids and wildlife than anyone else in this whole universe
Sir, you seem stressed.
>Stealth characters should go drones right
No.
When do traders refresh? Is it tied to ingame time or quest/level progression?
isn't the player supposed to be one of the godmen?
90 minutes iirc
30 minutes my bre.
if you're talking about nerd commando, some of his builds are good, some just okay. usually i look at what he made and modify them to make them better
So what's the deal with the godmen and the leviathans
seems to have a more proeminent role in the dlc with the god snake and the abyss station shenanigans but shit is so obstruct that I can't understand nothing
what the fuck are space aliens doing in a post-apocalyptic underground metro?
happened to me too, turns out i was just underleveled though
if I understood the information correctly, the godmen were drawn into or attracted by the presence of t'chort
90 min, could be faster if you speed the game up
Should i go to the rail crossing after finishing up Core City and Foundry?
How important are movement points in general? Can I do with just 30? Going for a low agi ranged build.
You can talk to Abram about Wyatt being immortal later on in a certain location too
I remember playing this back. What happened? Why is this game getting threads now?
Also if I was to play again.. how would I go about a guy whouses melee and psi? it was psi wasnt it? the magic? can someone remind me? or post a build guide idk ty desu
you will fall and you know it
They sell high quality black cloth and padding so yeah technically but then you'd be rebel scum
Damn guess I'll have to get to the end of the dlc and find out
It depends on your build. 30's fine if you're not planning on moving about much during combat, if you're going to wear heavy armour (which will reduce your movement points with armour penalty). You can always get bonus movement points with a couple of types of boots.
Expansion released pretty recently, people have been looking forward to it for ages.
>flowery descriptions of what NPC's are doing during dialogue somehow even more flowery than base game
What the fuck are you on about, it's never intrusive. Come on now.
Styg obviously has more in mind for the story we'll probably find out in underrail 2
Yes but Isn't tchort an amalgamation of biocorp scientist? what's the connection with godmen
and what is the cube and other alien artifact doing in underrail? maybe it has a link with the surface being unhabitable but idk
Should have really done them first it will probs be a bit easy now, but I didnt do Hathor till after becoming invictus so who cares
there's been threads for years but there's a recent surge in popularity due to a pretty popular youtuber reviewing the game
Drawn in but did nothing, six obviously had more important things to do
Where is south railroad outpost?
I found the train but can't find the outpost...
Yeah, like flipping out at people who don't want his creepy fingers trawling through their mind...
The train was going to Rail Crossing from South Railroad Outpost, motioner
Further along that rail line, it's actually directly over Junkyard. Just keep following that train line and you'll find it.
Just follow the damn train
Any underrail pros want to try their hand at unfucking this save file? It's rather soft-locked at the moment.
How do I repair my armor?
Buy or craft a repair kit, right click it, and right click your armor.
With repair kits, which can be bought or made from the relevant type of scrap if you have the associated crafting skill. Make sure you're using the right type.
if only there was a special board dedicated to discuss a particular game or game genre regularly.
>inb4 smashfag
FUCK SMASH
what happened
if only there was a board about video games.
pit bulls
Should I kill ethan and take his amulet? What is the best thing to do here?
Please redpill me on Protectorate and their goals.
The amulet is a battery powered pocket dilator, so I don't know how much it's worth to you, decide on how much you like or dislike Ethan really.
If you have high persuasion you can ask him to give you his medallion, which will lead him to tell you his true story, otherwise you can pickpocket it if you have high enough skill (80 iirc) and he'll spill his spaghetti and tell you the story.
literally an empire. they would be shit if humanity wasn't fighting non-human threats
Where is it? Literally is nowhere? He said go south and there is just a bend?
I just got it because it was on sale
tl:dr; Authoritarian gangster conglomerate lead by a former Biocorp big shot with megalomania.
A moderately authoritarian group that wants to centralize the existing shitpile of a world into something more orderly.
Were you expecting something else?
They want to establish a unified Underrail to create a better society for everyone, even if they have to step on a few terrorists' liberties to do so. Specifically, the Protectorate is just the military arm of the United Stations, which governs the North Underrail.
Follow the train line around the bend, you goddamn motioner.
if only there was a board.
You idiotic nigger, what do trains ride on?
How the fuck do you not realize that you can follow the train tracks to see where the fucking train came from?
You've even been to their embassy, you absolute mouthbreather, so if you're utterly incapable of thinking just go to the Junkyard and use the evevator there.
one moment
How
Wait, Briggs can choke you? What kind of retarded dialogue option do you pick for that to happen?
slav magic
>can waltz around with my guns out in the South Railroad Outpost
>get in elevator
>everyone is hostile because I brought weapons in the embassy
Thank you Styg, well signposted.
That's not south though! It is south and then east
There is literally a warning that tells you to holster your stuff before taking the elevator.
Somebody literally tells you not to do that, dumb pipeworker
One of the [int] checks at the very beginning in Core City, and the flavor text is what I can only assume gay submissives get off to.
Shit's weird, yo.
it happens to everyone. Scripted sequence when the professor gets kidnapped
why do pitbulls appear?
Yeah, multiple times, why do you think we've been making Daddy Briggs jokes for so long?
> South Railroad Outpost
> not South of Rail Crossing Outpost
> there are train tracks literally leading you right to their station, which is, coincidentally, located to the south of the map
user, you might be retarded.
Okay what the hell is going on here. Hired goons?
They got dominated in a single fireball though.
My only guess is that it's shitting on the guy that's going to write your paychecks or something
I just started the expansion, the only thing I did there so far is retrieve some dead guys arm.
Where the fuck is Hephaestus Research? Almost every cave north of rail crossing has death stalkers which all obliterate my existence.
random event
pretty unfortunate placement and level tho
You are a dumb pipeworker, you are the biggest derailed looking retard pipeworker I have ever seen.
Are Pit Bulls rare? They don't have a wiki page.
Random encounter event.
Some other fun stuff from Core City is that if you tell Arda that you've exposed him he'll randomly spawns with other four druggies somewhere in lower Underrail, you can also pick up some Hercules from them once you kill them, too bad you can't use it feasibly.
Saved for future reference.
How the FUCK do I kill crawlers. My build is basically memeing on enemies with an aimed sniper shot from stealth (138 stealth) but I can't do that if I can't see the damned things and by the time I reveal them they've usually seen me and I don't have time to line up a sniper shot
I stumbled into it right by one of Dude's houses, the one in Upper Caverns. It's maybe 2-3 screens to the west?
Oh, and prepare to be anally ravaged in the basement if the cuddly Deathstalkers still give you trouble.
Get a taste of your own medecine, sneaky fag.
Literally anything is better than getting hit out of stealth to the point where you are just dead to either poison or crits. Hard is hard, who knew.
I did the same build, basically with high perception and detection goggles you can see them before they see you, if thats not happening just surround yourself with beartraps and throw a grenade
The poisonous roof nigger is going to sting you. The best advice I can give you is to run around like a headless cave hopper, and hope to trip over it. If you bump into it, tase or flashbang the fucker and then demolish it.
>not cheesing the game with 4-turn psionic cockblock
>playing a ranged babby, literally all points into stealth because he's too insecure to be seen
You get what you deserve
Spam flares everywhere in areas you know they're hanging out. That combined with motion tracking goggles is all I can really recommend without spamming grenades and hoping you hit one. Although I guess that strategy is pretty much what you'd be doing with the flares anyways, albeit a bit cheaper.
APEX HARDCORE
-items sold are worth 10% their regular price, merchants refuse basic weapons/armor, quest rewards 25% of normal
-carrying capacity reduced by 50%
-all skill checks increased by 20%
-crit power doesnt exist
-LoC only breaks stun/etc
-can't drop items from your inventory for free (can still drop equipped weapons for free)
-grenade cooldowns +1 turn
-w2c does 90% damage
-high efficiency energy converters nerfed to regenerating x% of energy lost to damage, at y% per round
-toxic gas simply deals bio damage each round/if moved through; no damage multiplication
-using psi abilities from 1 school will increase the action point cost of psi abilities from other schools
-many psi abilities must hit vs evasion now (or reduced by it), use psi skill at 70% for THC
-forcefield functions as an energy shield against ranged attacks, has a certain amount of hp against melee attacks before failing (dependent on skill)
-all npc's have 30% greater detection & trap detection (bosses have 50% greater)
-bear traps dont function if they deal no damage, stronger enemies have shorter durations, and spotted traps use your traps skill vs their dodge
-some enemies will have black dragon throwing knives/crossbow bolts, and such traps can also be found
-randomized traps/locations
-randomized enemy placement
-npc's that spot traps or corpses will turn orange, holler, and search the map (and pull alarms, if any)
-if spotted, all hostile npc's on that map will never turn back to green; yellow minimum
-npc's will not enter dangerous terrain (such as gas, fire, or traps) unless they have a clear path to you
-most hostile npc's, if they can't attack you on their current turn, will instead head for cover or distance
-if you are seen entering stealth in a controlled or partially controlled map, npc's will turn hostile
-gladiators past master exploder have improved builds with more feats, especially carnifex
>has psiaids
>superior to anyone
Drop off, zoner
Enjoy the gift of spiders, then.
is armor sloping worth?
paranoia, detection goggles, high perception, nightvision, shield, high HP + antidotes, traps, grenades
I felt kinda bad beating down on Carnifex. He should be god of Underrail and I just stood on a bridge and blocked it off with forcefields and meme Psyed him.
I can't imagine that would have been the most entertaining fight to watch.
its good if you value having some movement points (very good to have)
unless you just want to be grounded all the time
Only if you're a nimble tin can.
>I can't imagine that would have been the most entertaining fight to watch.
most fights go like this
>win initiative
>kill enemy in one round
Yeah, psi is extremely OP in the arena because you're fighting 1v1 for the most part. I cleared the entire place at lv12 with no reload, with most fights lasting no more than two turns - and that was before I realized how OP telekinetic proxy was
Molotovs are useful too.
my plan was to pick it up since im planning on melee + metal armor
reminds me of when i did the final boss encounter a while back
also pls post build
Wait I can make a copy of myself that will use my skills? I thought I needed another skill for that to work.
On my first playthrough, with a assault rifle build, I only managed to kill Carnifex because my burst caught a security camera behind him and triggered Commando.
>not even strength or melee option to manhandle his ass
Even if it made whole aegis hostile it should be a fucking option. I mean I can fucking one shot literally every single living being with my spear but I can't manhandle some pipeworker.
Please stop posting this, if you want more difficulty just play a different build on Dominating that isnt psi and/or assault rifles
pretty sure the g in /vg/ stands for gacha shitbrain.
danke
It doubles your Psychokinesis abilities if it's in range (the red circle around it). It's bonkers in 1v1 or if a bunch of enemies is clustered in a smallish space
If you enter combat on your terms, it lets you clear entire clusters at once.
Telekinetic proxy + Thermodynamic Destabilization + Implosion (double cast because proxy) + Telekinetic Punch (double cast because proxy) -> ~500 dmg to whatever enemy you cast Destabilization on, ~1000 dmg AoE around him when he dies (on tranquility build with no crit).
Oh, and it's fire, so with Thermodynamicity(?) you get to use Cryokinetic Orb in the same round without Adrenaline stim, and with the meds you can also cast the Barrier because why not.
>Not being based tin can shotgun burstchad
pls stop telling me to stop posting it
So why did NFT and Biocorp get into a row?
Do containers reset or anything/get looted? I've been too lazy to walk back to my place at homebase so ive been just shoving shit in the barrel out front weapons store in core city.
Okay I've been carrying ever piece of weapon armour and crafting material and putting it in my room until I get crafting skill. Is there any reason to do this?
Can I use shitty guns and armour for something?
Nah you can even drop it on the floor.
Ah yes I can go back to the old school days of filling my local general store with trash
About to hit Depot A again. Once you know your way around there it's not that bad desu
repair kits
>Biology is shit
>Doctor is useless past early game
Goddamn brehs, I just wanted to play a murder-surgeon.
I started expedition and already got trapped in my first endless death loop on the jetski near what I can only assume is the pirate's base. Aside from that, now that I've lost all that exploration I guess I'll get back to the main story. I couldn't find the West Storage Depot from the expedition base. I assume it's obviously west but anyone have more specific directions?
Yeah it's just first time that it feels like it never ends.
>>Biology is shit
what
no
I almost always take biology; drugs are great mmkay
>biology is shit
I'm sorry did you miss out on all the hardcore drugs and poisons?
>more stuff to do
no, but that is not a big deal, still very good.
hey hey people let me ruin your niche games community for a week
Biology lets you craft all kinds of drugs and give you access to regenerative vests, so it's not useless at all.
It's all relative. What I actually meant to say is, compared to the other crafting skills which often benefit from specializing in them due to using quality-dependent requirements for components, Biology (and Chemistry I believe) can generally be left at a certain level due to giving little to no additional benefit past a certain effective level.
But you know, why give this big breakdown when generalizing is so much easier?
but I usually have more skill points in bio than any of the others, because you need to reach 130 effective without the house
not that I ever fucking NEED those endgame drugs by the time I can make them
You know, for something that gets synergy from one another, Chemistry and Biology are rather disjointed in mainline use I feel. High bio contribution to combat is mainly poisons (outside of drugging the fuck up), whereas chem gets blob pistols and grenades. That doesn't seem to play well together.
Yeah no real point in "specialising" in biology just put the rest into melee and dodge, would be actually good if you could get supersoldier syrum blueprint before DC
okay, utilities can be switched from inventory at no cost during combat. how does this effect your playstyle and what utilities see increased use due to this flexibility?
what
From what I've seen a knife/dodge build is actually really potent in Expedition, and drugs out the ass lend lends itself well to that.
Of course every guideline I've seen to that was 'muh temporal manipulation' cancer, but I have no clue how VITAL it is to that approach. Half the time people slap it on just because it'll benefit literally anything.
Why yes, I do have immense distaste for skills that go with everything, how could you tell
WHERE THE FUCK DO THEY SELL DIGITAL TIMERS? sgs and junkyard no luck.
So sickof this shitty merchant system. I need more TNT.
You can already kinda do it, not just with utilities but with your weapons too.
Just buy TNT
Its more expensive to make it yourself, TNT is one of the only things in the game its cheaper to just buy rather than get all the parts to craft it
I have like 20 tnt on my jetski and I don't think I will ever use all of it.
get your ass over to the foundry and buy/steal a jackhammer
you'll never need another tnt again
if you find digital timers, great, but dont bother going shopping for them, just buy tnt; a lot of merchants sell it and its not that expensive
where the fuck are the Bakers?
I FORGOT ABOUT THE BAKERS
Why is my shield automatically depleted in the last arena match when I walked in with it fully charged?
in the bakery
Yeah its fucking retarded, you have to go into the Upper Caves and look around to the west, there's no reasonable way they could have gotten where they are even with what happened to them. They literally crossed a river and pased a shitload of rathounds and stalkers
Carnifex talks for a really really long time to completely drain your shields. He knew you can't skip cutscenes and that you would try to cheese him by preparing before the fight.
Check Salmo's
He makes the best sweet rolls in town.
Lots of talking burns out your shield battery. That's intentional, btw, who leaves their energy shield on for the hours between talking to the organizer and fighting Carnifex?
hahaha omg no way, you saw the seth video too? :D BASED, as we say around here :)
You seem upset. Something wrong bucko?
It's so nuts that this game is so detailed. I'm creeping in a vent watching a dog fight.. Crazy detailed.
The bartender in hardcore bar leads you down a path to a guy that tells you the caves north of rail crossing station
I still have't found them either but then again i've not really looked all that hard, i've got more important thing to do like organ harvesting local fauna
spikechads where we at
Me? Upset? No. I love when my favorite eceleb makes an ep*c video about an obscure vidya :)
why are you activating your shield before entering combat anyways?
We all know you're just gonna cheese for initiative anyways and it doesn't take any AP to turn your shield on
I did before and used it up on wrong walls trying to find that camp. It seems to take forever for Lucas to restock. Junkyard no one sells it.
What the fuck does Temporary Rewind do? I can't figure out how to use it to help myself. Anyone know where I can get some more spells? I want haste, I read there's a haste spell.

How does it work with things that do multiple instances of damage?
Randomly keep getting 1 shot by a single bullet with a shield up, I have full health there is no situation bandits should be able to kill me in 1 bullet
Not good.
walking back and forth simulator
Snipers, shield won't help you much against sniper crit. Only high mech resistance.
w-where do I buy?
If you have TNT, you have access to the train. Take the train to Foundry and buy a Jackhammer from the merchant out the front. Or any merchant. Or just pick one up, they're fucking everywhere. Then take the train back to SGS.
You can choose to walk back to SGS using the jackhammer and map, but there's a base full of spuds in the way. Up to you whether you want to save the charons.
>there is no situation bandits should be able to kill me in 1 bullet
Outside of snipers, of course.
Get used to it.
Where can I find a shotgun belt? Never seen one on sale.
It doesn't. It's a way to ignore a single fuckoff crit that just so happened to take half of your HP while your hypos are on cooldown.
You don't even need this much charons. Blame your own autism.

Shit here we go again.
Then you're dumbass who's dying to a gunner's aimed shot and using a shitty shield that doesn't block all of the damage AND a shitty armor too.
>stalkers
fuck me
Are you illiterate, you motioner?
even with no shield and no armor he should have enough health to survive on shot from AR.
thats where ur wrong kiddo
How do you deal with the faggot spaeters' projections as a ranged build? Just roll the dice until you hit them before they stun you?
>I cleared area there is no sniper
Just means you haven't found him yet, jack.
I took Abram's quest for the bug way back when and realized I didn't have the stats at the time to do it, but later the guy at the bar said I fucked up and even though I ended up completing the quest I haven't gotten anything else which according to the wiki was supposed to take only an hour, so I guess I've just failed the missions? Don't think I even got a reward for releasing it.
I can join Free Drones should I?
Use The Juice.
>I took Abram's quest for the bug way back when and realized I didn't have the stats at the time to do it
YOU DON'T NEED ANY.
Protectorate is more fun IMO.
It's them or the protectorate. Pick your poison.
No. Do you want to be a filthy terrorist or something?
The Protectorate missions are objectively cooler and more interesting
what the living fuck is that?
Why is it so greasy and hairy? is it a serb woman?
>How do you deal with the faggot spaeters' projections as a ranged build?
Plasma Nade MKIII in the fucking face.
Is it not already shown as active in the top left?
I see I was just wondering because everyone seems to hate the protectorate and I didn't know if that would impact me, is there any difference in merchants or anything if you join either or?
Drones have more quests than Protectorate and their merchant has higher quality cloth, you also get to meet Kokoschka who ties in the Gray Army a bit and has some nice interactions, he can also change the Gray Army's dosh into charons for you.
What armour sets are worth having? Is it worth having a stealth set and a kevlar set on a stealth sniper? should I get sets with other resistances or will buying a cheap set for resistance if the damage ever comes up be enough?
They're both shit. They have their respective merchants but it won't otherwise cockblock you anywhere.
I honestly just want to know who has the best shotgun shit I can get
Play as a hammer wizard
This perspective, lol. They'd be midgets.
Neither, you can get 150Q shotgun parts from either Oskar or Constantine just fine.
Only Gorsky and other derailed pipeworkers like him hate the Protectorate, most people mistrust them at worst (which is both understandable but also misplaced).
I think it's worth having both, though you could do without the kevlar if you make sure never to take too much return fire either by stealthing/running away or otherwise preventing it. A galvanic overcoat can be very useful when running into coil spiders even if you only use it for them; later in the game bio/acid resistance can be useful if you don't get the unique armour set that gives you a tonne of both.

Are you having a stroke?
How do you run dodge/eva? I made one and I hardly feel like I ever dodge enemies that aren't severely beneath me
The arm with the chip is next to the generator in the room with all the strongmen. When you press tab it can be hard to see because the text from the generator blends together with the text above the corpse, atleast in my playthrough.

Hard work and guts.
>only takes place if Foundry are both beset by raiders to the point of almost falling, with a serial killer on the loose, and a terrorist cell actively working in South Underrail
Yes, of course the Protectorate should just stand by and watch one of the most important strategic stations of the South fall into weakness instead of liberating its citizens and giving them the peace and security of the United Stations.
I would welcome the appearance of dedicated heroes of the Protectorate like the CAU! After all, as I'm not a filthy Free Drone terrorist, I have nothing to be afraid of and I would love the opportunity to thank them for their dedication to keeping my fellow citizens and I safe.
Energy pistol if you want mad crits
Chem pistol if you want to melt people/set them on fire
Just don't get hit. Tbf it's mostly stealth build I try to split up and assassinate enemies before they can call for help. Other that that infused siphoner leather armor and tabis. And max dodge/evasion every level.
Crafted a shitty smg to off wield just for these fuckers
You have to be running nimble + gear + high agi before you really feel it, even then it's mostly ranged enemies that'll miss. Uncanny dodge for melee tho.
There's also memes with that temporal psi ability

Im facing some PSI beetles now and I'm getting my shit slapped. Whats the fucking secret besides shooting them with their brains exposed??
Should've gone dodge with nimble
why are death bugs called roof niggers
t. only at the omega building
>dumped some even points into guns, melee, dodge, evasion and traps and shit
So you dumped your points all over the place and you wonder why you're mediocre in everything? Despite that you should be able to handle beetles no matter your build even with just an smg from old jonas. There really isn't much, you can hide behind the corners, close the doors, set them on fire or trap them and pick corners.
In the midst of a long, gruelling campaign to suppress literal terrorists who are busy bombing trains and civilians, a few mid-level officers become overzealous and start targeting the wrong people. When this is brought to light, the Protectorate command immediately takes steps to rectify the situation, protect the soldiers involved and punish those who acted illegally. The response of a good, robust organisation, not a corrupt one.
>>straight up conquers a station
**liberates
>deploys mutagen
Must have been their doppelgangers
While regrettable, and perhaps disproportionate, the actions of the CAU are entirely provoked by the callous and indiscriminate nature of the Free Drones' attacks on civilians. Even then they make sure that only the Drone scum themselves are targeted, by carefully releasing the mutagen into a sealed-off section of the underpassages that only Drones would or can get to.
Because that's what they literally are poison roof niggers
Get a sledgehammer
Get a metal hammer
Take the psi pill and boost psychokinesis
Fuck shit up
Any questions?
Why let a few atrocious war crimes get in the way of prosperity?
psi crabs are shy
if you walk near them they scoot away then psi attack you
if you corner them against the wall they bite you which does mechanical damage instead
if you corner them but leave them with enough wiggle room to make a long circuit around you they will spend all their movement and action points escaping giving you a free turn
you can hit them and go around a corner to lure them into spending all their movement and action points chasing you giving you a free turn
craft a taser
Technically speaking they're actually poisonous CEILING niggers, you're right.
>only at the omega building
You haven't seen terror yet, that's good for you.
do i dump con or int
Yes.
Also, I took the boots instead of the SMG. I realize how retarded that is now yes.
Thanks for the thought out response. I'll give it a try.
Exactly! I'm glad we can agree, fellow citizen.
molotovs molotovs molotovs, some dude at SGS sells them five at a time
Is it worth killing the black crawler on oddity?
how do they compare to going into the burrowers' cave Gorky Plant specifically requested me not to go into as complete shitter
10 Strenght
10 Constitution
6 Agility
3 Dexterity
3 Perception
3 Intelligence
5 Will
Your starting feats are Sprint and Conditioning
With subsecuent level ups, you need to bump Will to 7, so you can get Force User, also get Corporeal Projection
Tanking feats: Thich Skull, Juggernauth, Fast Metabolism, Last Stand, StoicismDoctor but thats one is my personal opinion Also sure step, fuck acid puddles
Hammer feats: Critical power, heavy weight
Yes, it's fun
burrowers are like rathounds compared to them.
No. I don't remember what the corpse had on it, which is a good indicator it was fucking garbage.
You can also loot the corpse and eskappy the pecacky without fighting the Crawler if you stealth and savescum enough.
at least I can still go a long way before running into them
r-right?
Fuck, I'm finally level 26 and these veteran feats are killing me. I have maxed out psi skills for this level and 12 will, but I also use guns as a backup. Should I take increased will or strength? I don't think advanced psi empathy is worth it because I'm already pretty squishy and I rarely run out of psi, plus I have backup guns for when the powers are no good.
Current "build" is

Where is the submarine? i can't seem to find it.
R-right, user. Don't you worry.
No, you actually are right. Get a good shield the second you start meeting Crawlers, though.
And keep an eye out for the Red Dream mushrooms
SUGOI
i get to be BIG
Let's put it this way.
On one hand you have to deal with a literal zerg rush, which is manageable as long as you have any sort of crowd control and/or a decent energy shield.
On the other hand you have to deal with a poisonous ceiling niggers that are almost constantly invisible and undetectable, can inject you with poison that bypasses shields and stuns you after two turns, highly damages you and in the Death Stalker's case also prevents item based healing for 10 turns or so, then restealths, teleports in a random position and loops you until you die, and they're also rarely alone.
Yeah you should meet your first one around lvl 9-10. And the first one is a bit special so it's easier.
Personally went 7 Wil/8 con myself since the early missions are handled reasonably well with slightly less health plus it gets Corp Proj and Force User out of the way at 2 and 4, with thick skull at 8, but maybe those extra hitpoints become too valuable on DOMINATING to pass up.
>DOMINATING
n-no
Is it possible to make a chem or energy pistol work in a STR/PER/CON tin can build, or should I not bother with the investment and just pack a second bullet hose?
Just got to the musical puzzle in the Nexus of Technology. Is it worth downloading this puzzle solver some guy on the forums made? What's behind the door?
Come back if you have any doubts
As a hammer tank, you have 0 dodge/evasion and 0 movement points, so might as well have high CON to make yourself highly tanky.
Also, remenber Conditioning gives more protection the more CON you have.
And Dominating is not that hard as people say, you just need to know what you're doing, that's all.
will there be a fiddy pistol frame down the line or .44 is the highest it'll go
If you're a fucking casual just shove it into one of the online ones. If you're not go look up a steam guide. That is, unless you have a background in music theory. Shit's fucking hard yo.
>mfw the Chemical Assault Unit mission on the Free Drones HQ
Defend this garbage.
It has been millennia now that video games exist and they still use the completely outdated, mundane and nonsensical system of dealing out arbitrary point at the start of the game before you even know how everything works.
The only "RPG" that does it right with character creation is NEO scavenger.
get back inside your tin can jack, your int can't handle this forbidden science
Perfect armor combination to not take any damage + pesticide grenades
its true, skill based systems are shit. ideally a game would have dozens of tested and balanced classes to pick from.
in this way, when one becomes stuck in the game the question becomes an immersive "how do i solve this problem?' and not a metagaming "did i make a bad build?"
unfortunately people often believe going in the exact opposite direction of what they want is the way to get there, and when it doesn't work they must only go even further.
In this case they believe some abstract 'freedom of choice' is making the game more role playing and immersive. But there is no such thing as choice, or freedom. They are forced to optimize, min/max, and consider the mechanics of the game, and will have to 'freely choose' the only sensible option available to them. Thus the illusion of choice becomes a constraint all the while believing they are free.
What's behind the door tho
>mfw the Chemical Assault Unit mission on the Free Drones HQ
Sound pistol and 5 oddity XP
>spamming this shitty copypasta
Choke on a dick, dolboeb
Do the right thing, Soldier.
Kill them all yourself, leave nobody alive, including the cute kitty
Ending their lifes yourself is more humane than let them them and the kitty turn into hideous mutants.
After this, you will understand Sergeant First Class Timothy Holloway a little bit more
I hate the CAU too
Correction, skill based systems with a triple-digit max level are shit. It's factually harder to analyze the impact of your choices when you distribute 200 points that boost effectiveness by 0.5% each compared to 20 points that boost by 5% each.
Yeah, but you normally aren't picking up an armor suit until 3 at the earliest and I'm sure having Force User at 4 instead of 8 helps with the mandatory GMS fight. Corp + Force User turns TK punch into a real boon early, especially against bots; I wouldn't dismiss that power for a couple more hitpoints and enemies that aren't going to STUN you anyways since those fucking bots incap you more often anyways
That's what you get for being a metal moron
It's fucked, I could totally go in there and gun them all down, shouldn't have to potentially endanger myself too.
Also it's kind of a war crime.
Tanking comes first for me, in my opinion
Besides, you can easily EMP a sentry bot, Sprint and hammer the cunts down
And when that fails, HE nades and throwing nets helps too
do i need big biology as psi man or just enough for the little beetle shells
are there even high quality beetles
Their kind deserves it after what they did to best girl Anastasia.
What's the matter, user? Surely you don't feel sympathetic to a bunch of terrorist scum.
The laws and customs of war apply to and protect only those declared and lawful combatants, and not filthy terrorists who indiscriminately target civilians themselves.
But simply locking you out of choices with absolutely no way to get back in because you had no way of knowing (without straight up cheating and reading spoilers) is just as bad.
Look at greedfall.
Perfect system.
Want level 3 attribute speech option but have 0 in that stat?
Buy a hat
Buy and carry extra armor with that stat
And have a companion that boosts that stat.
Perfect system.
You can do everything, but if you want to do something outside your base stats you will have to invest time and money in it.
>You can do everything
disgusting and skyrim-pilled
Goliath beetles will drop up to quality 100 or so
And no you don't need a lot of bio as psi, 45 effective is sufficient to cover all your crafting needs
>Look at greedfall.
I'd rather not to.
i don't have enough puking anime girls for this post
Yes, especially an energy pistol. You'll already have decent Electronics and be taking Critical Power, so even though you don't have the stats for Steadfast Aim or Practical Physicist your energy pistols will still be pretty powerful.
Early game definitely pack another bullet hose, and once you unlock Commando you'll want a second one as well to get the maximum use out of it (preferably a 9mm Chimaera, since Commando's free bursts don't care what the normal AP cost of the weapon is and you don't have to use the same one which triggered it)
>quality 100
FUCK
i guess i'm going all in
can't skimp out on the shell
So what Southern Underrail slangs have you guys noticed so far?
Derailed, bre, zoned, hardcore, jack, pipeworker, etc?
>having a shit opinion
>being such a fucking nigger that you do the exact same samefag response to give the impression that anyone agrees with you
lmaoing at your life
I agree that small-scale stats plus stat-boosting specialty gear is the best possible way to do stat-based gameplay. I prefer having permanent stats decide most of your build with gear shoring up weaknesses or improving strengths, though.
quality 100 shells only need 45 effective bio to use in crafting
they need way more mechanics than bio
the godmen are literally a handful of dudes who most likely got genocided by humans when they lived on topsoil, and or they became attracted to a species undergoing psionic awakening which to any alien should be extremely problematic. One zoner can literally fuck with spacetime, imagine a conglomerate of zoners focusing on time and space together? Bad for business, also tchort probably another huge reason
> Enemies have unlimited ammo until you kill them.
This game has a lot of artificial difficulty.
Why isn't there any food that boosts will? Is it a balance thing?
It was a good response last time so I use it in it's pure form to incorporate it into my overall message.
Americans wouldn't get it.
yes, let's buff psi even more
Worth it if you're Psychosis user.
>50: Focus Stim (+15% crit chance for 10 turns)
>60: Psionic Accelerator (+20% psi regen for 10 turns)
>70: Trance (+100% psi crit DMG, +20% psi cost for 5 turns)
I've only seen an NPC run dry once, and he spent half a minute trying to fire his empty gun. The AI just can't handle reloading.
what fucking community?
Sure, discussion, but community?
That's untrue
Stop spreading missinformation.
so exactly how high does one need mechanics and chemistry for the highest quality chemical pistols?
: Trance (+100% psi crit DMG, +20% psi cost for 5 turns)
good lord that's big damage
Dumb motioner.
God fucking dammit the expedition is just too annoying for me. Should I just ditch it until endgame? Or is it a matter of me bringing kinda shit gear because I don't have a good low shield and bio defence armor?
friendly reminder that even if you don't take the pill your character canonically has the chosen one psycho gene
Is this quality range from the wiki accurate?
This. She's top qt.
>foreigners who say 'bre' a lot
The slang in this game is really well-implemented. There a bunch of different terms that get used by different groups, to greater or lesser extents, and if you think about each term you can usually work out why each group uses the slang that they do.
Like how the Institute are the only group in the whole game to use 'apex' as a superlative, since they're directly descended from a branch of Biocorp, who were controlled by Apex Technocrats
Where do I learn more temp mani? I think ethan taught me all he knows so I imagine I just gotta find this shit laying around in those mentor devices
Not at all
what does this post even imply
do you think being kidnapped makes it any easier to cross a fucking river and somehow waltz past some hounds and stalkers?
legitimately baffling
yes
doctor in rail crossing has the best one
>he's doing it again
Like I said before, any difficulty that involves nerfing the player's options, changing how in-game mechanics work (such as psi) and removing feats is automatically trash because you're limiting the player's preferred playstyle in other difficulties. If your argument is that they're OP then they should be rebalanced for all difficulties, not just for one.
Your only valid suggestions are the ones that make the world harder to tackle instead of directly nerfing the player, such as the randomized traps idea. The rest is literal trash. Stop spamming this, you simply have no grasp of what makes higher difficulties fun.
I know lemurian health center has at least two of them
do i miss out on some extra spicy hand crafted combat encounters by not playing on dominating
You've made it to the end of the game, right?
no, you're just missing out pain and suffering
You mean random events? Not really, random events are the same across all dificulties.
However by not playing in Dominating you'd be missing some serious Fun
Oh fuck me I totally forgot about that thing, and I was thinking about the coordinates asking how I'm supposed to utilize them. Retard moment. Thanks.
I don't think ive ran into one random event atleast not that im aware of
That'd be not surprising, random vents are very rare in this game
I stumbled upon the Rogue Plasma Sentry in the Under passages at level 3 in my current Dominating run
bear traps or caltrops
the correct answer is
cave ear caltrops and burrower traps
Both
Get Sure Step
>pain and suffering
>fun
why did they invent dominating
why does it have to exist
so it's like a sort of mutated wallmart pepsong?
Go apex and that sort of shit?
What can I do to make the expedition base in the Black Sea stronger, aside from enabling the plasma turrets and that guardian thing?
Also, fucking bugs just ate through like 400 rounds of 9mm ammo, I have no ammo left and am stuck with the fucking professor getting kidnapped by the pirates. It sucks shit.
Because I derive enjoyment from a challenge
And because I like suffering because I'm an autistic masochist
Because Underrail is made by autists, for autists.
Mines at L2 get the Ferryman to tow them for 1000charons.
what should be some things to keep in mind while speccing my first character? is everything viable in some way or another or is there skills i should avoid?
Why do I get 9 bullets from 3 enemies when they just fired off like 30+ shots?
Because I'm addicted to cortisol and being stressed is my definition of fun.
Not exactly, it's that the Apex Technocrats were at the top of everything in Biocorp, and you can see they started being referred to as "the Apexes", or "the Apex". Eventually it lost its original, specific meaning and just became a general superlative because in Biocorp it was intrinsically connected with the idea of "the best"; since the Institute is the purest descendent of Biocorp they're the only one to still use the word like that. So now they describe things as "apex", like "that's apex" or "the most apex"
Because they shooted at you
Also enemies do run out of ammo, eventually
Or just sail North and genocide the savage fucks they more than deserve every bullet.
>why don't enemies drop the bullets they've already fired
What did he mean by this?
What general advice would you guys give to people who are playing the DLC? Loving it so far, but the Hive stuff is just horrible bullshit.
>>why is it that when i eat bread the loaf gets shorter
Always keep an Aegis helmet at all times
Is better than a gas mask in every aspect
Read the stat descriptions and pay attention to what they say, have a read through the feat list as well to see what you might want. Pick at least one combat/damage dealing skill, and make sure your stats align with it (so don't pick guns and then have a shit perception). Make sure you have some way of avoiding/mitigating/tanking damage.
but it changes the feel of combat forces you to cheese the fuck out of encounters so even though the game mechanics are the same the combat is different
take for instance grenades. in hard there is a simple and balanced dynamic, you use a low quality grenade you do some damage but don't kill/seriously wound anything. however if you use a high quality grenade you either kill some weak things or make them low enough hp to kill them with a few more action points, but the downside is you used a high grade consumable. this is simple and enjoyable, but in dominating everything has so much hp and evasion skill that those differences are minimized. the grenades do basically the same amount of damage but due to hp breakpoints of enemies the difference between killing or not killing no longer exists.
difficultylet detected
So they all had 3 bullets left over despite all firing a different number of bullets in the first place?
Their guns were still fully loaded too.
Game just might be coded poorly.
pick one combat skill and max it
throwing goes with everything
look at the feats tab and the requirements for the high level ones. you will want them.
dont drop int to 3, coz crafting is really good and int boost crafting skills
I have a spec ops helmet that I got off of dead ruskies in the military base, I massacred them all.
Then get creative and think other ways to approach the situation
>each spawns with a specific amount of bullets
>fire a certain amount of shots
>reload
>get murdered
>have some number left over
What's the issue, pipeworker?
why are you guys so obsessed with this game?
Why you're so obsessed?
you can autistically min-max and there's an autism difficulty
world is also nice
Why do you enjoy video game?
i'm not saying it's too hard, only that it's less fun. my creativity is the false creativity of cheesing and doors and line of sight and molotov fear and caltrop and bear trap. you can say that in easier difficulties i wouldn't have had to do this so dominating is opening up my options but it feels like it's taking away my tools
K, why don't they have casings?
It scratches a few itches real good.
Hello hello, does anyone know the best torrent to get, I've been playing nondlc for a few weeks and want to try the complete edition
>why are you talking about video games on the video games board
I do not.
> Stealth Sniper Build.
> Use snipe.
> Miss.
> A niggillion enemies run off screen to my exact location.
What's the best way to deal with this?
Casings only have a chance to spawn from a given shot, it's not guaranteed.
Are you telling me you've gone through the entire game so far and never pulled a casing from an enemy's corpse?
Why can't you shoot your gun off randomly to draw enemies into your position? Tired of wasting grenades.
just give slavs those 10 bucks. they deserve it
unfortunately the torrents i've seen don't have latest game version and nobody seems interested in updating it
I feel the contrary, having the need to use all tools and resources I have at hand makes me feel quite good, there's nothing better than crafting a well thought plan and tactical line of action, carrying it out and win by that
It's all a matter of finesse
How do i get to the Abyssal Station elevator is there an entrance somewhere here? I have only seen spiders and closed doors.
literally on pirate bay

Bruh, the game clearly does not keep track of enemy ammo or has them reload at all.
Source on movie?
>7%armor penalty
I'm not really sure what you mean. Yeah, grenades don't typically autowin fights on dominating but they still see a ton of use and you'll often be chucking them on cooldown. I don't know why you'd feel that being made to use more tools is taking away the tools you already use.
And let's be real
>the downside is you used a high grade consumable
Plasma, gas, and napalm is somewhat limited, but by the time you reach your early to mid teens you can pretty much make as many mkIV/mkV frag/he or magnesium grenades as you want.
Karakai no Jozu Takagi san.
Enemies do reload though. Seen it happen a few times in enraged gunfights.
>Bruh, the game clearly does not keep track of enemy ammo or has them reload at all.
It clearly fucking does, have you even played it?
But it does? I loot guns with half filled clips all the time and I've fucked over crossbow and smg burst fags by pickpocketing their ammo.
What about friendly ammo? Dan ran out of ammo while fighting the beast, he bugged uncontrollably, eternally switching between his rifle and his hammer
>Investigate murder
>Find heaps of evidence
>Confront the killer with my heaps of evidence
>It's a goddamn 90 per check, 95 to not get instantly killed
>"Heh no i didn't, convo's over kid"
Eh, bre?
traps
>Thinking you can pull shit on a fucking Spectre that easily
Bring more meat for the eels boi
What they do reload and they do run out of ammo. In omega warehouse when you turn on the turret they will always run out of ammo and try to punch it.
To be fair he's a superhuman assassin that will dunk your ass. It's still stupid that killing him yourself pisses off SGS.
not if you pass the first persuasion check or if you kill him with traps
based persuasion showing its value once again
Is my lack of agility gonna fuck me? I figured with heavy big boy metal armor it would fuck my movement points anyway.
>taking persuasion when you could take intimidate and use yell
>using traps like a pussy
I fight like a man thanks.
>he's a superhuman assassin that will dunk your ass
>dodges with 400 dodge
>one shots him with a spear throw
Pshhh superhuman assassin more like super dead
>Is my lack of agility gonna fuck me?
Yeah no sprint and no hippity hoppity.
Psychosis or Tranquility?
>I figured with heavy big boy metal armor it would fuck my movement points anyway.
underrail.com
you'll be fine. you'll miss sprint, but you can take damage forever.
not unless you do stealth
would recommend you bump up int to 7 for the crafting feats and better crafting
always up to you tho
Psychosis all the way, guaranteed crits with psionic mania and watch everyone die.
psychosis + survival instincts
tranquility is better unless you are playing on a lower difficulty and can just kill everything in one turn.
but either is better than any other build so do what sounds more fun
Do you plan on using your Psi powers to hurt people? Psychosis. Do you plan on using them only for utility? Tranquillity.
in any difficulty except for dominating psychosis is 100 times better, on dominating they are probably around the same now that TM is in
It does. Activate the GMC turret and let it kill the raiders. One raider will fire from outside the range. After one to two reloads he melee charges
>but either is better than any other build
fucking lunatics
would pure psi even use TM
it looks more like a support school for builds that don't mind taking the psi empathy in exchange for the free adrenaline shot
>would pure psi even use TM
Are you fucking kidding me?
user, I think you might be derailed.
Why not? The free adrenaline and cooldown reduction is still good.
It does
In the arena, in the earlier fights where you're with other challengers, the gun-using ones will often run out of ammo and keep spamming "Out of Ammo" because they're retards that didn't bring enough ammo to the arena.
Literally every kind of character benefits from it, and for psi focused characters specifically it gives an easier way to deal with turrets.
How can it be "better"?
Let's start with the fact that no matter whichever you pick, Psi is already super powerful. I think it can be said that if you can beat DOM with Tranq then Normal/Hard should be a breeze as well.
Sure, huge crits look cool and all, but all in all playing with Tranq opens up so much for you.
It's the only build that I completed Dominating with... not that it's hard to do.
Yeah I use it on my shotgun guy and it makes life easier
Melee + heavy armour without Sprint is basically impossible because lots of shit you fight will move away every turn and attack. Without Sprint, you'll just be kited to death as you spend every bit of AP on movement.
sprint + adrenaline shot is the only way you get to hit things as a 95% armor penalty tincan melee
what if you slope and nimble and ninja tabi
I don't have enough stat points for this shit.
Wouldn't matter unless you craft SS with Sloping (plus Metal Boots with high Q Spring)
what do i need to see as much lore as possible? psi, lockpicking, hacking and persuasion?
Yep.
Shilling my DOM build, free of charge.
Also int and will
>Int
What do you need that for?
Dialogue checks and such, same with WIL.
Crafting and Psi
Nimble is good but you'll still need Sprint so you don't over-rely on adrenaline. Better to have 2 ways to chase the enemy instead of looking real dumb during fights.
nimble, sprint, adrenaline shot are all must haves for a knight character (heavy melee)
If I run out of movement options then I just throw grenades.
Are there any in the base game or is that just in the expansion?
Same with base, just play with that build and you're good lore/dialogue wise.
it's okay user you'll always be our special boy doesn't matter if you still eat your toys.
The """lore""" you get from high Will is incomprehensible garbage that most likely doesn't mean anything and isn't worth shooting for normally.
>low iq user
>makes a special build just so he can get all the lore
>me an intellectual
>does whatever build is the most fun to play
>skip half the dialogues and text
>asks in underrail threads for tl;dr of everything lore related
But it's still lore? If you play Psi you get that anyways.
Fucking 3 INT brainlets.
I'm saying don't play a psi character if all you want is to see some gibberish.
this man is correct
>still cant find bakers even with clues
send help
do I stay in upper caves or go back to the lower underrail trough rathoud tunnel?
The Chad gameplay man vs the Virgin tooltip reader
from the hanging rat bar, go double east, north, then west
give me your best tactical swat operator build
it needs to have
>smg
>grenade throwing
>crafting
>sprint
Check:
Also big spoiler if you want: you don't find the Woman at the very end of the game.
>stealth isn't one of the requirements
You fucked up.
trapping too
leading enemies into mines and bear traps is really useful
>hey dude look at this other reply you got
Jesus Christ you're retarded.
but i don't want to stealth past combat encounters
instead i want to have many movement points and many bullets
What is the crafting for? What does a psi need to craft?
Supressive + opportunist at level 1
Kneecap shot (way better than aimed and works with SMGs)
Guns and Throwing
Spec Ops ASAP
thank me when you're dabbing on the enemy
Huh, I didn't notice any difference between average- and high-intelligence playthroughs in the base game. Thanks, user.
Any hints on where they are?

>incomprehensible garbage
Damn motioners...
Here's (You), nigger.
Now that you validated yourself go and jerk off.
