The second game is absolutely inferior to the first one

i thought i was the only one that played this game

i think it was more popular in the Eurozone

The first one was great and had one of the best multiplayer communities of any game I've ever played. The second one had some cool ideas but yeah as a game it was just worse overall. I blame having to make it accessible for consoles.

Though Sacred 2 is still infinitely better than every game in the franchise that came after it.

I tried to like the robot but like you said... compared to 1 it is just outright boring

how exactly was sacred 2 worse than 1?
personally I prefer 2

only issues I have with the game are op stats like life leech %, that it takes forever to reach max level and you will probably have at least one of each unique item before lvl 100 and then all that's left is grind to 200 and you can't even find new items since everything is just a scaled version of the shit you can find starting at lvl 1

I think it's mostly a matter of pacing. Sacred 2 has slower gameplay and has a more MMO-like quest structure despite having a smaller world. To me, Sacred 1 feels more like Diablo while Sacred 2 feels more like Titan Quest. Sacred 2 also has more bugs. I also liked most of the S1 classes more, but that's mostly personal preference.

That's not to say Sacred 2 is bad. It's still better than many other games in the genre which perhaps isn't saying much, but still. I just had a lot more fun with S1 than with S2.

hmm
maybe I should replay 1

> I AM ONE OF THE SERAPHIMS
Got this game at full price because it honestly looked cool, regrets were made.

I've only played the second one, because there was a used copy for sale and I figured it would be nice to have a coop Diablo like game on my console to play with friends.

It was actually fun. There were lots of weird OP builds to try out. Classes were very different from each other. Unlike Diablo you actually physically went around the world and there were a lot more enemy types and story than just demons.

There were a few downsides. You locked in good or evil and you couldn`t play together if different. Being a mage was a huge pain in the ass because of how upgrading your spells increased cooldown and how difficult it was to manage that, but with a LOT of time you could be OP.

>I tried to like the robot
He's so ridiculous given the setting it actually redeems the game in my eyes

A bunch of the characters are wild concepts, and it's great. A big tiddy heavy metal angel, Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars, an undead warrior necromancer, an Egyptian magic dog robot.

was this the game with the wolf robot as a playable character?

I played the big titty angel but had no idea what I was doing

Can't wait for BG's orchestral album.
Hope they deliver it good, they hyped that shit for decades.

>upgrading your spells increased cooldown
I never understood the rationale behind that.

Rip Ascaron

asd fast bump

I never beat sacred 1
played a million hours, every character except dwarf and succubus
I'm on my way of beating the game since I started a new game after years of not playing it

so what about 2? I only played it a little with egyptian megaman
can I play online with friends with some programs? is it really that bad?
