Anyone here uses pic related? Does it let you download only single (latest) core for every emulator or can you choose older versions as well?
What about beta versions are they also supported? For example, can I have PCSX2 1.5 (beta revision) there or just 1.4?
RetroArch
I think the updater can only download the latest version of each core. There might be a way to manually install older versions though
What about beta versions?
Retroarch is a fucking meme. I emulate games better using standalone PPSSPP and epsxe.
But epsxe is a shit PS1 emulator though.
Works for me :^)
Fair enough. It didn't for me because it emulated Tomb Raider games like shit.
>ePSXe
Opinion discarded
Their crt filters need to be standalone
I loathe this piece of shit. I have set it up, but the UI is so vomit-inducingly disgusting that I never use it.
I hate retroarch. It's like the devs wanted it to be as unintuitive as possible. I use any other emulator if possible.
>It's like the devs wanted it to be as unintuitive as possible
Fucking this.
Fuck retroarch. Setting it up is annoying on most things and I'm not gonna download some specific rom sets just for this shit.
>I'm not gonna download some specific rom sets just for this shit.
What are you talking about? RA lets you play regular roms for any system.
Seems like a samefag but either way, really proves how retarded RetroArch haters are.
>DraStic
>ePSXe
>Mupen64
How is retroarch hard to set up? Are you downloading cores manually, one by one, or something? You can just download the whole thing and then it's literally just putting your roms in the folders.
Its not hard so much as it is tedious.
There are sets that come with all the artwork and preview video shit for each game so it looks like an arcade cabinet.
It's more tedious to download every emulator separately from various sites and you have to set them up separately either way. I don't see how using RA is any more tedious than using "regular" emulators.
You don't have to use them, retard, just use regular MAME/any other arcade emulator roms. You are literally crying over the fact that RA gives additional options over other emulators. Again, proving how retarded RA haters are.
DraStic is the only playable DS emulator on Android, you absolute subhuman.
>b-but Melon hits a whole 15fps on the strongest snapdragon
Fuck off.
>It's more tedious to download every emulator separately from various sites and you have to set them up separately either way
Not really since most options don't need to be configured out of the box since they're already optimal since it's specialized for that emulated platform, and what does need to be changed is usually WAY easier to find then in RA.
Don't get me wrong, RA does some neat shit, its netplay is really good and the low latency options are very attractive and I wish more emulators adopted, but from the perspective of it's UI on a desktop and configuring it, its a fucking nightmare.
I either have them or I don't use that emulator. Because why fucking bother with it to begin with if you aren't gonna make use of those features? I'll instead use some bare ass bones emulator at that point.
Oh wait, you are just some normalfag using emulators on normie smartphones, okay I got it. I thought it was some obscure random DS emulator on PC.
Either way, a normie, so opinion disgarded. No sane person would use RA on a smartphone, so go back to /r/smartphones, this is not place for you.
Keep on showing us how retarded you are. This will surely make your case look stronger.
You configure it once and that's it. You have to do some configuration on UI and screen sizing etc on every separate emulator you download or just once on RA. RA wins automatically.
Sure you have to configure every internal core settings but you also have to do it with every separate emulator as well.
You can just download a core and test it out with a few clicks in RA or spend more time on finding out on the internet what are some emulators for a specific console, look up their websites, check which version is the most stable and repeat the process for every console emulator. Again, RA wins.
And crying about AI? How long do you spend there when you have everything set up? It takes me 3 seconds to start a game I want in RA. You sound like a woman, you probably have low T if you have to cry about the look of UI.
And even then you are wrong because the UI is awesome for gamepads and joypads, it lets me get quickly into the menu and save/load save states in seconds, I don't have to get my mouse/keyboard to do so, unlike with regular emulators.
And I could go on and on about how retarded people are for not seeing how much better RA is and how dumb they are for shitting on it.
itb4t.retroarchdevelopershill
Keep on being a dumbfaggot using an emulator and not utilizing it's full potential.
You don't even know what you're talking about, you nigger.
>normie
Jesus fucking Christ, election niggers.
Keep on deflecting using absolutely no counter-argument and being cancerous normalfucker.
I just want a proper mouse driven UI that confirms to Win32 design when I'm on a desktop that allows me to load things from a file structure and not some bullshit scanned library like an icuck application
Is it that much to ask?
Keep shilling your shitty emulator then dumb nigger
I thought the same thing too, but using retroarch and adding crt easy mode shader with blarggs rgb filter makes everything look great
Also I use launchbox as a front end so I don’t have to use the shitty retroarch GUI
Great arguments, single brain cell amoebas.
B-but it's teh h4rdcor3! You're a n00b if you don't like it!
Having the interface is pretty comfy though.
It's just simple and easy. Can sit on my couch and play and if I wanna take a screenshot I just open the retroarch menu and take it.
If you want to see just how dumb this board is, look no further than "retroarch is complicated" comments.
