Also if I pirate a multiplayer game, let's just give an example and say Call of Duty Modern Warfare or something like that. Will I be able to play online with no issues and will all of the online features work properly?

Third worlder, any game I wanted to play, I had to pirate it. It was only 4 years ago I got into steam when my purchased physical of Mad Max installed it.
Now, I use steam for buying games on sale. Never had a reason to stop, either because it's just easier. Of course I have 20 years of experience on the high seas under my belt, so im not too worried about anything. Should steam die, I'll just go back to pirating with deluge instead of utorrent

I've tried it once before but I wasn't sure if I got anywhere because most places I've seen tell you that it's illegal and won't give a step by step process and the ones that do, it only shows you how to do it with music or movies/TV. I was hoping to get a "certified Yea Forums method" if I asked here and know what places to really go for the best results if that makes sense.

I'm not pissed per se but I would have preferred if I received helpful information straight from Yea Forums rather than having to learn on my own with the possibility of messing up.

If anything Steam made it MORE convenient. It standardized a lot of things and 95% of ""cracks"" are generic ones that work with almost any steam games (except the ones that implemented their own solutions like Denuvo). Which is especially great for obscure games nobody (but you) cares about.

Often I can just grab the original steam files, throw my favorite steam emulator in them, and it just works.

I mostly just used Steam for online games and HL1/2 mods, so I never really stopped pirating. I've bought a few games that I pirated because the official versions were receiving regular updates, I really liked the games, they were cheap, and some had a form of online play. There aren't too many games I've been interested in since 2015~ though, haven't even really pirated much since then except older games. But I don't think I'll ever stop pirating unless they figure out a way to offer the same thing.
