Arcade racing games need a resurgence. I miss the likes of extreme g, f-zero, burnout, hell even shit like Star Wars podracing. Not every racing game needs to be an autistically lifelike Motorsports sim.
As for shooters, I think first person games have a lot of potential without needing to be FPS shit. I’ve been loving Mordhau.

I love games where shooting guns is rare and expensive, like Pathologic 2 where you have to decide whether to trade things for food or water or bullets, you mostly use only your knife, only pulling out a revolver with only 6 bullets in your inventory when more than 1 enemy attacks
