I went alchemy because my group of players I was joining needed one. I'm 26 now, and have 175 alch, but I don't even have the silver to get my skills.

It's a good feel though. Every silver spent feels earned, every level gained is an achievement. I constantly get dungeon groups and we shoot the shit as we go, same with questing in regions.

The problem with changes is that blizzard is literally too incompetent to run the game properly with changes. Layering didn’t solve the launch issues and made new exploits available. Launching on 1.12 trivialized dungeons and raids, and will continue to trivialize raids until AQ40. And those are small changes that even private servers could account for. Classic is built on the premise that retail sucks because blizzard are retards who have ruined the game. So why would you trust the same retards to make changes to vanilla?

Servers were always unbalanced, but alliance had far more players in vanilla than horde. It wasn't until blood elves were added that horde took over since every new server added in BC and WotLK was about 50% blood elves.

As someone who has tanked dungeons, I've had no problem with this as well, people know I'm tanking but I'm also levelling and so I'm not a proper tank. I can get shields, tanky looking stuff, as well as 2H weps and more dps orientated stuff. I didn't think people would have a problem with this because they should know if a warrior is tanking anything other than 60 stuff, chances are they are specced DPS.

I like how it often feels like you shouldn't accept every quest you run across. I know most people will anyway, but there is an opportunity for immersion there. Like should your paladin really gather zombie juice and ghost hair for that old man living next to a giant cemetery filled with undead, or is he a naive fool who helps everyone? Maybe you'll simply do it because he pays well, unlike some other quest givers.

I doubt most players care, but there's at least an attempt there. It might work better without quest addons since you would have to actually read the quest text to figure out what they're asking you to do, instead of just running between point A, B and C while collecting items.

Actually, I'm talking about VANILLA, not CLASSIC. I played a resto druid in Vanilla, and tanked every dungeon up to 60, because everyone was in their leveling specs, not a dungeon running spec. There were no tanks, with the first heal on the "tank" I'd immediately pull agro, and healtank for the rest of the encounter. Even if the "tank" taunted, the mobs would be back on me the second the taunt wore off.

There were no actual tanks until end game, and they were all claimed by guilds. If your guild didn't have a real tank, tough shit, you weren't doing anything BRD or higher. We didn't have this spell cleave BS back then. It was just 4 DPS, plus a DPS that could heal acting as healer, and you would just hope that the group could kill everything before the "healer" ran out of mana.

If you want to tank, you mostly only go holy until you get consecrate. Holy shock is not a viable option for a tank, you lose out on too many tank essential talents in the prot tree. Tank paladins are decent tanks for 5 man group content as long as you have patient group members. Paladin threat revolve a lot around the more they hit you, the more threat you create so they can be pretty good aoe tanks.

If you want your epic mount then no.

1. No Battlegrounds severally limits variety while levelling
2. Most zone are overcrowded: STV is just horrible, where 10 players are contesting for the same mobs

They completely failed with layering. Why did they make it continent wide as opposed to zone wide? At peaks time you basically can't complete quests, it's miserable.

UBRS beast is a special case, it's generally decided before you start the run whether the whole party rolls for the hide if it drops, the skinner gets it of if it's banked for the guild.

There's literally nothign wrong with survival as long as you don't actually try to do dungions with, unless you're high-skilled and decide to hunter tank with it post 40. it's a levelling spec and there isn't a downside to using it as long as you use it properly, which is to say you tank 2+ mobs yourself while your bear tanks a 3rd and/or fourth and you assist your bear with your ranged cooldowns.

But yeah, survival hunters in dungions where they're NOT tanking? That's a paddlin.
