Mods won’t save it from being utterly forgotten

>portbegging

>Only one enemy type, guy with gun
>'Police' mechanic is fundamentally broken and needs to be completely overhauled

If they could fix these two things then it would add to the game immeasurably, but I don't see a single modder having the time to change the game on such a fundamental level

i hope they make the survival mechanics actually fucking mean something, whats the point of making all the food and hunger stuff if none of it fucking matters?
i hope they make stealth actually viable in the overworld
i hope they make missions not scripted to be piss easy combat wise

If they fix the detection system so that disguises actually work, and add in dead eye while diving so it's like max payne 3, then yes

>dead eye while diving so it's like max payne 3
i just fucking nut

>Make you only have to kill a certain number of waves of police in certain areas depending on population level in order to lose pursuit.
>Make masks actually keep you from getting a bounty
>Make patrols killable without infinite reinforcements
Easy.

How would they even start adding sim elements you retard? The modding capabilities for this game are shit

Are you new to modding or just retarded, it would be completely simple to make a few adjustments to the wanted system. There are mods for Theft V altering the wanted system in all sorts of ways, dumb ass.

Attached: image.jpg (387x420, 127K)

would be nice if they made the game challenging in the slightest. and if they gave you something to do other than story missions, they have a fucking god tier map and theres barely anything to do besides story missions. I loved the story but the world is just begging to be taken advantaged of more

Hold on just a second, I'm about to

>Make it so people don't fucking call the cops on you when you hurt their feelings

Go wander in a real life desert or forest and tell me how much there is to do.

what do you mean?

sounds like somebody
>didn't go hunting/fishing
>didn't research dinosaur bones/stone carvings
>didn't deputize and go bounty hunting
>didn't do paranormal investigations
>didn't dress like a native and go buffalo hunting
>didn't do a dizen literal side quests
i know it's the hot new thing to shit on rdr2 but why fucking lie
oh yeah, it's cause you're a fucking faggot

Ignore him, he's a "never ever" retard.

I got the impression that it was to kind of
Drive home the shock of Arthur getting an incurable disease.

>check on Arthur’s weight and status in chapter 4
>just shows a red skull and “tuberculosis”

I want a slavery mod

Wow, they found pc code and people are still like that? lol

Have mods ever added any content to a rockstar game outside of character skins, or vehicles?
Stuff that actually changes the gameplay a bit and isn't just clickbait for a "gtav as an anime!!!" youtube video?

IIRC him getting sick means he can no longer get overweight and his cores drain from 100 to 50 faster.

>insult a dude in the street
>he literally shoots at you with a shotgun
>cops do fuck all to stop him
What the actual, actual fuck was rockstar thinking?? They put their staff in 60 hour work weeks for this face palm AI? In SAN ANDREAS, the cop ai from 2004 would kill them if someone randomly attacked you. In GTA IV, they'd actually arrest them and throw them in a cop car. It's 2018, what the fuck happened?

have I missed any threads about the new online update? I stopped playing when there was nothing to do but it's actually pretty good now, theres a reason to hunt, theres collecting, even bounty hunting. I've been playing the shit out of it lately since I've gotten bored of everything else i own. Understandable but sucks that all my friends that own the game dont want to give it another chance. Gets lonely being a lone frontiersman

Yeah, even before there was actual evidence of coming to PC, it was obvious to anyone with half a brain that it would make it's way there. The only flimsy excuse anyone had that it wouldn't was that the first one wasn't on PC.

>run into town too fast
>accidentally bump into some
>bounty and immediately start taking fire from like 5 different people

This is part of why I never bothered to finish the game and didn't get past the boring ass online tutorial

A video game, a form of fucking ENTERTAINMENT, has to adhere to the boring aspects of reality? Nigger you must be retarded

>A couple guys ambush me in the Grizzlies, kill them in self defense and start looting bodies
>Some guy rides buy and shouts that he's gonna get the sheriff
>'Yeah right, Valentine is 10 minutes away good luck buddy'
>10 seconds later my crime has been reported
>20 seconds later 4 lawmen come from the NORTH
>One of them somehow sees my character model for one second through several brushes
>They're now locked on from orbit and calling reinforcements

It's like they just copy/pasted the system from a game before 2010

I just thought about it again and nut a second time

Having played a bit of RDO lately, I gotta say that my main gripe with the game is the NPC's having incredible hearing, sight, and senses. The smalles provocation will create an alert, and surprise, the game turns into the slog of killing 30 fucking bad guys. That was the least enjoyable part of the SP for me - everything was either a drawn out horse ride or shooting every fucking person in the face. Very little variety.

>Try online with a friend
>Coop story mode is actually pretty neat, but every mission is just ride here and shoot everyone now ride back and get attacked on horseback
>The events are all just complete chaos, not even the enjoyable kind; everyone dies in one hit and respawn rates are so low that you're constantly getting ambushed every time you make progress towards an objective by the guy you just killed
>The economy is inflated so you have to grind for dozens of hours just to fill out your weapon wheel with the basics
>If you want to put on a podcast to chill and hunt for good pelts you'll be constantly ambushed by 4 man posses who are just looking to grief
>Never know if I can salvage my pelts or not because I respawn in a different area of the game

I'm neither casual enough to enjoy it purely for the surface level elements nor hardcore enough to enjoy it for the grind

genuine question, what other gameplay elements could they add in a cowboy game?

cops do react to arthur being shot though. they don't spawn immediately behind you however, so most people dont ever notice because they just kill the aggressors. funnily enough, if the cops see you shooting someone that opened fire on you, they'll usually let you go with a warning if you surrender and holster your weapon
what's wrong with the police?

>you'll be constantly ambushed by 4 man posses
The recent update has culled this a bit, feels like there's no one around even when you're in a full server

I very rarely have to fight posses except when I go out of my way to fuck with them

It's incredibly unpolished compared to the rest of the game and ultimately it's just not a system that allows for interesting interaction with the game world.

Doing anything wrong will almost immediately result in a bounty being put on your head, and the cops don't discriminate between one count of disturbing the peace and four counts of murder. The game also blatantly cheats to bring lawmen in, most notably during train robberies, but also out in the wild where they can be called to pursue the player within seconds of committing a crime despite the nearest sheriff's office being minutes away at full gallop.

The police will also pursue you with an unbelievable level of coordination; the game clearly spawns lawmen in your path when there is no possible way that they could know you were coming. In Saint Denis this can be partially explained as the police will relentlessly blow whistles to keep track of you but it doesn't make a lick of sense anywhere else.

But that's just factually wrong. There are multiple degrees of crime, the problem is that players wrongly assume that cops being on you means you have to kill them, when most of the time you can just NOT FUCKING RUN AWAY FROM THEM, holster your gun and L2 + talk to them and they'll let you go.

Yes the game obviously spawns bounty hunters or lawmen when you're on horseback.

You're the fucking retard if you don't realize that's what they were going for. Go back to school.
