They somehow made a character more obnoxious and annoying than Lilith.
The only story bits I liked was the corpo war between Rhys/Katagawa and the Prison Break with the BL1 characters
the game is actually a lot more fun than I expected

I liked the BL2 Lilith from the one early mission where you find out she's awkward as hell and craves Roland's dick. Too bad that characterization is never used again.

I didn't really like 1 or 2 but i pick up co-op games to play with my cousin and i'm really pleasantly surprised with this one. I'm enjoying it so much i'm probably going to do a playthrough with each character.

Are you playing on PC or console? I haven't run into bugs yet but the game tends to dip in FPS and freeze a bit when loading into a new area

most important cutscenes tend to ignore the vault hunter, logically there's no reason the Kalpyso's couldn't have just BTFO them right there as well

No, but really, it wasn't the fact that she was craving specifically Roland's dick, but that they went that direction for her character at all. She seemed a lot more human than the generic "rah rah action gurl" BS you see in a lot of modern games.

Not that user, but for the sake of argumentation, when Jack popped Roland and took Lilith they did address you and were pretty quick about the whole thing.
Meanwhile the Kalpyso's were with Lilith and Maya for a damn long time in comparison. It's not like you were even busy fighting or anything, it's like the vault hunter/s didn't even wanna.

That would require different dialogue for all 4 characters if they wanted the game to actually react to what you picked

This is what they planned to do in the original Borderlands before they turned it cartoony and it became filled with memes and popculture references. There's a ton of unused early dialogue that has alternate lines used when addressing each of the 3 characters (Brick didn't exist originally, it was just Roland, Mordecai and Lilith). Each character also would have had their own personal questlines in the game that deal with why they went to Pandora.

But we got Memelands instead, such a shame.
