Xrd
GG2020 is gonna be awful and I'm boycotting

no one cares nigger

KOFXIII and 02UM for me. I feel that I could have enjoyed the newest Killer Instinct, but I got late to the party.

Also, Melee.

>Xrdzoomer complaining about dumbed down game
Oh the sweet irony

Simplification isn't the issue, the interviews lead me to believe it'll play nothing like Xrd. Even Wall breaks are already a big change.

Skullgirls cuz Beowulf is fun

This but on Dreamcast.

i didnt get into fighting games until pretty late into this game's lifespan, but i always love watching sets. i love a game with a healthy amount of total bullshit

Soul Calibur 2
Tekken 4 due to nostalgia.
Say with the SNK games, what's the best versions to play for shit like KoF98 or Garou? NeoGeo emulator or just get the ultimate match port?

Attached: jj.png (850x1196, 2.08M)

>constant blanka and sagat matches

London best stage tho

For KoF 98, the ultimate match version add extra characters so it now has the complete roster of 94-97 including all the bosses.

THIS IS TUNA WITH BACON.

I always stuck with the SNK characters even though the top tier was almost all Capcom.

kof maximum impact 2

Soul caliber 2 is pure nostalgia
Tekken 3 = best Tekken
Tekken 4 = close second

Tekken 4 is underrated as fuck. I think 5 deserve more credit too, this game had so much soul.

>Say with the SNK games, what's the best versions to play for shit like KoF98 or Garou?
Not sure about Garou, but for vanilla 98 fightcade seems to be the way to go. 98UM is kind of an expanded version and for that I prefer the steam version, but it's not necessarily the same game as 98 and your millage may vary.

>Solid Snake
>Simon Belmont
>Bomberman
>Master Higgins from Adventure Island
>that Moai head from Gradius
>Optimus Prime
>Megatron
>a bunch of Japanese randos
>that kid from Beyblade
Is Dream Mix TV World Fighters the most based crossover fighting game?

you absolute fucking oblivious imbecile selfawarenss lacking ass
do you have any fucking idea how different in playstyle is +R to Xrd? There were various notorious japanese players that never made the jump to Xrd because characters like Johnny and Venom were so fucking changed and gutted that they simply didn't want to learn the game
if a sequel playing nothing like the prequel is reason enough to boycott a game then you shouldn't even be playing Xrd in the first place. But given the fact that your first post had a jack-o pic I imagine you don't even play that much

Attached: 1538041818934.png (249x275, 157K)

Could be..
Either that or terrordome and terrordome is garbage.

Geese is pretty good, i want to learn him

Xrd is when Guilty Gear became boring to play, it looks pretty thou

And? I'm not a +R player, I've never even touched it. I only care about Xrd.
I clearly said
> it'll play nothing like Xrd
No mention of +R or GG as a whole.
>if a sequel playing nothing like the prequel is reason enough to boycott a game
If the changes they made were for the better, I'd play it, but they're not.

I sadly heard it was terrible, probably up there with SVC Chaos as a bad game with a god tier roster.

SFIII, KoF99, Project Justice, Garou, SF V Xmen, MvC2, DBZ hyper dimension

Jumping Frog:

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike

Street Fighter IV

Vampyr

Final Fight

I heard 2 was much better but I never got around to playing it.

Attached: goty2003.jpg (1546x2163, 739K)

UMvC3 is my favorite for sure. I've put too much time playing, labbing, and watching it.

After that: DBFZ, TvC, Tekken 7 (and both Tekken Tags), CvS2, SamSho (II & 2019). Recently been trying out Kyanta 2 & Blitzkampf. I wish I played more KOF series and KI reboot since I've loved every touch I've had with them. I've played a good amount of XIII & XIV but not enough '98 or '02 (I've played a good few '00 sets though and I like it).

Don't forget Twinbee & Bloody Roar right there on the cover. What a fucking weird game.

Attached: UMvC3 4.jpg (2692x3807, 2.51M)

Absolutely abhorrent taste

>And? I'm not a +R player, I've never even touched it.
oh believe me, I came to that conclusion the moment I read that post I replied to
and if this were the 90's this would be the moment I tell you that your issues with the next game are fine and that you should stick to Xrd and support its scene. Alas, I can't say that since we aren't in the 90's anymore. Given the fact that the current generation of fighting game players doesn't do that
the only Xrd business you'll do in the future is talking about how much you miss the Xrd days while posting more pics of jack-o

based
used to play this all the time with friends
gave us budokai vibes so we loved the shit out of both series

Forgot Virtual On and Virtua Fighter 4 on this list. It's been so long since I've played either.

I used to play the shit out of this game in the arcades but I loaded up a rom of it recently and it doesn't hold up at all.

That’s a great one. I loved the soundtrack and the stupid announcer.

But what the FUCK was Capcom thinking with that cover art?! It’s two literal who’s just standing there. If you asked 100 people to identify the two in front you’d get 0 correct answers

The 4th one that never got localized is the best because the series just kept adding characters and refining systems over time. There's tournaments for it out there, pretty interesting stuff.

probably melty, don’t play much else but want to get into KoF but don’t know where to start since everyone says XIII is not a real KoF

People who care about SNK will know that's Kim. Capcom fans may not know that's Kysouke but they'll see Sagat and know it's got Street Fighter in it. Also CvS2 was directed by Itsuno who created the Rival Schools series so that might have been his call.

I don't play fighting games because I don't have the time to or the privacy to invest into labbing, or the internet to ay online, but I still tune in to watch some EVO matches and emulate a game for the weekend every now and then.
I love Capcom vs SNK, Heritage to the Future, Third Strike, an avalanche of SNK games and the original Guilty Gear.
Keep going fightanbros.

Tekken 5 is my personal favourite. I played it a lot on the ferry from Vancouver Island to Vancouver, then later bought it for PS2. Absolute kino.

'98 & 2002 are the most popular and XIV is the most recent. Try those. XIII is weird because its systems are conducive to very long combos that are not normal for the series. XIV's systems leave combos more streamlined with enough room to experiment for optimal routes if you want.

>We live in an era where Virtual ON style games didn't take off the same way traditional arcade stick style games took off
>There aren't dozens of different twin stick style arcade stick builds out there for people to buy along with games to go along with them
>There are no giant robot fighting game competitions where people jump into mock mobile suit style cockpits with their twin sticks to have robot fights for our amusement
Feels bad

Bloody Roar 2

Third Strike and KOF97 for me.

>Haven’t seen heritage for the future yet

Capcom Vs SNK 2
Third Strike (best OST and obviously better roster but I prefer the lively stages of 2nd Impact)
Soul Calibur 2 for nostaliga
Tekken 5

for me, is super gem fighter mini mix

Attached: Super-Gem-Fighter-Mini-Mix-Pocket-Fighter-Capcom-CPS-II-Arcade-Coin-Op-WonderSwan-Sega-Saturn-Sony-P (609x486, 39K)

the SF5 of guilty gear. #Reload will always be the best version.

Absolutely based.

You'd think with how fighting games seem to be going towards the simplified route, Capcom would rerelease this game in some way, since it had one button specials and only three buttons.

The sad thing is that the roster would probably be the same but with Felicia & Tessa replaced with SFV characters.

>Soul caliber 2 is pure nostalgia
What do you mean

Is there any chance we can get a Capcom vs SNK 3?

It’s memorable my boy.

Ah

Capcom sees SNK as "beneath" them given how the former has mostly kept growing while the latter has gone through two bankruptcies and an acquisition. While they're clearly not on equal footing anymore, it's funny when you realize that SNK has their shit together in terms of fighters much more than Capcom lately (and just like in the 90s SNK has ex-Capcom guys working on their fighters; IIRC KOFXIV had one of the top guys from SFIV and SamSho 7's director is a long-time veteran that worked on a lot of Capcom games).

lol wtf

Soul Calibur 2 is hands down the best soul calibur game

SC3 is broken to shit
SC3 AE, is played by literally no one
SC4 is trash
SC5 became trash
SC6 is wack and full of too many subsystems

as for Tekken

Tekken 3 is pointless when Tekken Tag exists
Tekken 4 has some cool stuff, but is broken to high hell

Tekken 5 is also broken as fuck

Tekken 5 DR was the tekken that everyone loves

But Tekken 7 is just as good if not better

Sf3 3rd strike is the only correct answer

Tekken Tag 2 is great in that it's a "hyper" 3D game almost. A cross between that and Rival Schools would be a true hyper 3D game and I hope something like it exists someday.

>Top Tier
Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Street Fighter III: Third Strike, Capcom Vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium

>High Tier
Ultra Street Fighter IV, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3, Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future

>Good Tier
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, King of Fighters XIII, Soulcalibur II(also V and VI)

If you get really autistic about it, a finely tuned MUGEN can be godlike too.

10th post.

KOF 98 and Ultimate

Vampire Hunter

Attached: tumblr_mb40rqUu5O1qcrzzno1_1280.jpg (1280x1803, 2.47M)

Soul Calibur and Soul Calibur 2 are my favorite fightan games of all time.

Redpillme on the versions

98, HF/ST, maybe a3

would say mvc2 and cvs2 but I have no one to play with

I'm more of a 3D fighter, but I have a soft spot for Marvel Vs. Capcom: Clash of Superheroes.

For 3D, I'd like to say Dead or Alive 5, but I'm still ass blasted that they didn't go full throttle and add the other Virtua Fighter girls and some Tekken characters in the mix.
For 3D weapon based, it would be Soulcalibur VI, if only it played closer to Soulcalibur 2 and if only we can have Hibiki Takane from Last Blade as a guest character instead of Geralt of Rivera.
