Usually not, especially by the well known names. But sometimes noobs will see a name they recognize, but it's not actually from the real team, just someone pretending.

Not sure. Most of what I've been playing is a few years old. Try out the Monster Hunter games and see if you enjoy them. Start out with an english patched XX on Citra 3DS emulator if you're very new to the series.

IIRC, MGR:R never got released on anything other than PC, PS3 and 360. Never ported up to PS4 and Xbone with a Fox Engine remaster.

I feel like exclusivity just hurts the customer more than it does help the platform. I'm not gonna buy a console specifically for a game, but I do have a modded PS3 incase I wanna play MGS4. PC does have mods for MGR but I wanted that Jetstream Sam one for Raiden's campaign. The creator pretty much ghosted though, and all we have is shitty videos that suggest the game crashes with certain actions. Would be fucking sweet though if we got a re-release and you could play as Sam and upgrade him.
While yes, MGS4 got 'ingame' (read: can get into a level but most likely crashes on the next) it's not exactly the best cuppa tea out there for emulation. Besides, it demands some shit for some stupid effects anyways.
