I'm currently stuck on stage 6 because Genus is in the party with Speed-o'-Sound Sonic. Sonic is OP, and Genus has the ability to heal and call clones. And the other thing that sucks is you can't select who you attack, so genus could summon clones and the AI might focus on them and ignore the powerful opponents.

Played Brave Exvius for 3 years before their jew got too strong for me. I'm honestly glad to be free. The game was a lot of fun in the beginning and for a long time, but it's just become tedious and unsatisfying.

It’s a shame more folks here don’t play Uta Macross. It’s fun as hell and the nostalgia from the songs is so good. Also the gacha is for costumes and equips, so the actual characters you can just pick who you want so that’s cool. Pic related, Mikumo is a goddess.

The gameplay is rhythm gameplay so is understandable with zero knowledge. Navigating menus to do basic shit is easy enough with no knowledge too and there’s a rather extensive English wiki for any specific things you might want info on.

Megaman XDive will be the only gatacha I willingly play because its gameplay somewhat resembles an actual game and not an extremely shallow JRPG using pngs instead of character models.

Personally I really enjoy it. Pulling new units is slow and they don't push whaling it (building costs four types of resources and a ticket, you can adjust ratios to make it more likely to pull specific types of units, rate-up events are once-a-month or rarer), the strategy and team-building are top-tier (though the actual action is sometimes lacking), and there are cute costumes (but that's where they get you to whale).

Jp gave away limit break stones through in game events and very cheap bundles you could buy with gems. Global thought it was a brilliant idea to take those same cheap bundles and events and remove the stones so the only way to limit break was getting character dupes from gacha making the game more pay to win. Few months later the game shuts down.

I played from start all the way to the server shutdown announcement. Really annoying that such a great action gacha got dumpstered because Sqare Enix's localization team for that game was utter dogshit.
I might pick up the japanese version, but just thinking about starting from nothing and having to do all those story missions again makes me not really want to attempt it.

Been there and made the jump. Grass is really greener at JP. No awful menu lag, generous rewards and gems, and the amazing stamp action going on. There's even a stamp to show disgust at MEOW MEOW spammers. No one dares to use Auto for bosses, cause even M1 can destroy you, no one cares about rush order (except for 100 stam bosses), and the active multiplayer that you can basically farm seeds 24/7.
The only thing i miss on GL is the yikes spam, but overall, I feel i made the right choice migrating as soon as the announcement of GL closure was announced.

1) it is 'too much of a game' : people always shit on gachas and phones games because there are no 'great and complex' games there, but thats the point, phones are a really bad plataform to play in general but it have the advantage of being super portable and to play instantly, they are better to play 'simpler' games it's just stupid to ask for complex games in a phone

2) it's not a waifu game : the protagonist talk too much to be a self insert but is too boring to be a real interesting character even less for a interesting protagonist, and the characters make a conection with him, not you. even if you have a 'waifu' here it literally is just a png there are no mechanics or anything to bond with her

I dropped it because it made a big deal about the dragons, but then they kept stuffing the game full of things that weren't dragons. Also you only turn into them like once or twice during longer boss battles for a couple of seconds and other than feeding them at the castle there's nothing to do with them, they're such a non-presence and there's a much bigger focus on the adventurers.

I Judgement Day a better yakuza?

Thankfully I've just quit the only gacha I was playing, so now I can spend more time playing KanColle instead.

It's a pretty good game, but it has some issues like the many "Tail the Suspect" missions which are horrible, slow-paced shit, and the chases from Yakuza 3. Aside from that, the gameplay is solid, the OST is great, the writing is pretty good, I would definitely recommend it if you like the Yakuza series at all. It doesn't quite live up Yakuza games but still a very solid "spinoff".

Some things to note
- Censored version is on qooapp, uncensored is in the discords since they post apks directly. You can only spend money on the censored version because the uncen is distributed through Onestore which requires a Korean phone number to use.
- Do not sleep on low rarity bioroids and AGS. Higher rarity units are tougher to build early, the game is similar to Girls' Frontline in a few ways.
- That said the main rares you want early are Marie (2-8 stage reward), Perrault, Valkyrie, Sowan, Black Lilith. These girls either carry teams (Marie, Sowan) or are strong at soloing (Valk, Black Lilith, Perrault).
- Try to do event maps, lots of freebies going around right now. Get as much as you can until October 4th

I've been playing Dragalia since November and I love it. I haven't spent a cent on it and have a ton of base 5 star units, several MUB 5 star gacha dragons, a few 5 star weapons (one of which is MUB on my Gala Cleo) and tons of MUB wyrmprints. The game is really generous but it I think I have also been very lucky.

If you don’t want to be pressured into spending any money, gfl and AL are the most generous with giving out rolls for characters.

Fullbokko Heroes. I spent the last week of the game ripping assets. Its' more complete compared to the other game I played that also died. Cat Busters.

Hmmm, that's a tough one to work with as people get bored with things at different rates.
Most mobage gameplay has a core idea but doesn't stray too far away from it.
You mentioned how you want something free in a different post so I can't suggest something like Partia (strategy game) as it costs money.
As for action, Dragon Project is pretty decent.
Reminds me of Monster Hunter in how you go out and grab materials then use it to craft armors.
There's a varied amount of classes/weapons to try out that may help stave off boredom.

Story can be cleared with just starter characters (no gacha) so you essentially get a nice little JRPG adventure for the price of 0 bucks.
All characters are useful so you don't have to worry about rerolling. You can hop straight into the game without fear of being gimped.
In fact the game encourages collecting everyone eventually though its various systems which is appreciated.
Powercreep doesn't exist so you won't feel pressured to roll on every new banner; instead you can save for characters you want.

Presentation overall is quite solid.
Gameplay is rather unique despite being turn based.

I've tried several but the only one to ever actually keep me engaged was Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia. It's a fun enough story that basically makes for fun scenes of characters from all the games interacting with each other. The game is super f2p generous, all the characters are free and easy to get, and it has no pvp, just co-op, so a lot of characters are usable for the vast majority of the content. Plus as a long time FF fan, I like how it uses the whole series to draw from, so not just 1-15, but Type 0, multiple of the various Crystal Chronicles games, Tactics, and so on are in too. Plus the vast majority of the game doesnt use an energy system, so you can grind levels and materials to upgrade your characters to your hearts content without waiting or paying.
