Eh, there's MORE weight to hits now but it could be better. The only weapons in this demo that really suffer from a lack of "meat" to the impact are the hammers and axe. And there is no demo for PC for some reason; I suspect to avoid datamining.

I didnt play the network test, nor did pay that much attention to it 6 months ago, but I played all soulsborne except demon souls, and the combat in this doesnt feel weightless.

DL and TA have long animation but good range. TA lunges forward before doing a powerful dual attack. Swallow cutter is a quick attack with range shorter than a piper. I assume its good for when you need to hit the boss quickly when its staggered.

I fully expect it to have god-awful m+kb controls. Since you have a PS4 though, you can plug in your controller to your PC and use DS4Windows. Thing is a godsend even if getting it running is a little finicky.
Camera's fine if you don't get cornered by a wall. But the particle effects could use some serious toning down; fucking blinding.

On another note, the hammer feels fine to play with but the sound? Where the fuck is it?

Bamco are fucking terrible with PC ports, especially with mouse and keyboard controls. Their PC ports of the Souls games need third party scripts before you even CAN use something other than a controller.

I've resigned myself to playing offline on the PS4. The only censorship is in the blood spray (allegedly) so it's not the worst Soiny could have done.

Why port something correctly when the community will fix it?

That's because projectile spells are meant to be used with lighter weapons. You recover Ichor per hit, so light weapons fill up your stock faster. On a light weapon, projectile spells are burst damage in between your fast, weak weapon combos. Heavy weapons deal more damage per hit but build ichor much slower.

So, uh... No one told me Dragon Lunge hits like a fucking nuke. What gives? Why you faggots holding out on me? Why did you whores let me keep Triple Annihilator for any reason at all?

A few of them are good. Hell even TA has some use.

Maybe I'm biased but my main problem is that 1) they cost ichor instead of building it and 2) you aren't invincible while using them but they lock you into long attack animations. If you at least got some invincibility on them I could see the point, but for the most part they look like a Suicide button. Kinda like backstabs in pre-patch Dark Souls 2.

Dragon Lunge has decent i-framing, just hard to time. i-frames in general in this game are fucking weird honestly.
Swallow cutter is also deceptively strong and useful.

Is it just me or is there a bit of a nasty delay between hitting dodge and getting the dodge? I don't mean i-frames, I mean the entire animation. Unnoticeable most of the time but when you fight QK it stands out like a sore cock when you read the telegraph, react, and get hit anyway because your character didn't do anything in time.
Maybe I'm trying too hard to play it like Bloodborne; dodging in that is really responsive. Hit the button a little early in this game.
