This game will mark the first time that I just watch a full run of a game on youtube rather than playing it.

There seems to be a lot of mechanics to keep track of. How are people able to fuck around the world and leave presents if this is a movie game?

This is the perfect footage to fall asleep.

There are a bunch of details I had no idea about from teh Jap version. Turns out rain damages your cargo, and that small shelter structure that plays music can be used to wait out the rain.

Thanks OP finally we can discuss this.

watching it now. hyped again.

Official translation or just some random fag?

Give me a rundown of the details

It looks mundane but somehow very interesting at the same time.

Attached: 013vsk30j5911.jpg (722x500, 81K)

>babies in a pod making you see beings from another dimension
>a man dying every 21 minutes
>blood and shower water bombs affecting the monsters
The level of imagination in this game is simply incredible desu.

looks genuinely boring and reminds of ReCore for some reason. huge open world but absolutely nothing to do.

Niggers always say this but the game is literally about traversing the world. It's like going hiking and being disappointed that there's nothing to do.

nice now i can walk in english

Sounds incredibly dull, sorry kojicultist

>you cant complain that watching paint dry is boring because that's what the game is about!
This is you: An idiot.

>watching paint dry
Shitty comparison.

What is the basis for your bitching anyway? That a game doesn't cater specifically to you? No matter how hard you stomp your feet that will never change, so what's the point? You can fuck off to a million different places right now, but you fuckers keep wailing on your own misery and contribute nothing to the conversation besides shitting up these threads with middle school-tier banter.
It stopped being funny 3000 posts ago of repeating the same thing over and over, now you're just like spambots. You aren't even capable of being witty.

This the Switch version?

>the entire meaning of "strand" game is that you can see other player's objects placed in the world and use them, giving them a "like"
so basically he's saying he invented soapstone messages

she was fun, I kind of miss her

>here is this gameplay where you do absolutely nothing special whatsoever
>the only thing unique about it being a few extra parameters deciding how efficient or inefficient you can walk
>but it's kojima so it's a masterpiece
What?

So why do they call it Death Stranding? Is it because you walk to death?

>you do absolutely nothing special whatsoever
You're getting too carried away in your own presuppositions, buddy.
I could say the exact same thing about any game in existence if I wanted to.

In the gameplay from TGS, linked in the OP, you do nothing special. It's a fucking hour long and the only thing that stands out is the anti-matter creature battle.

I got it the first time. You're just repeating yourself.

What's a bola?

>BUT WHAT DO YOU DOOOOOOO

A throwing weapon to capture shit

Hope you like your 60$ walking simulator

I'm sure he will, and so will I.

Is it interesting how Big Tech is going all in for the mobile money as the general plan for the next decade, and suddenly the most strange AAA game appears before the end of this one from a veteran director. It really makes you think.

Attached: 1566856239087.png (184x184, 49K)

Ah, you said the word, like the good little drone that you are.

Gotta keep track of lots of shit that affects how you traverse and deliver packages, weight, stamina, center of gravity, stability of terrain, weather changes and dificult routes like deep rivers or step cliffs

The packages get damaged from drops and rain, this affects your score

Can do side missions where tou con ext and deliver stuff to smaller outposts, to expand the chiral network and get item rewards

Once connected, you can use the items other players left around the map, on order to help you move around

Some items will help you move more efficiently, like exoskeletons and floating drones to distribute more cargo

Some big structures like shelters, bridges and highways can be build when lots of players cooperate

When lots of players traverse the same route it eventually becones a road, easier to move in there

Tou can also leave behind vehicles like trucks and bikes, highways are build able

Better pack extra boots because those also deteriorate and will make it harder to move around, if you don't find a shelter to recover, you can rest in hotsprings, they have added effects like recharging the batteries on your equipment

There are enemy camps where "mules" guard stolen packages from you and other players, you can discard your stuff away before entering them in order to make yourself harder to track, their attacks are non lethal because they only want to steal your shit, if you infiltrate tou can recover most items or better gear they got hidden in there, if you scape their perimeter they will eventually stop chasing you, you can use biding weapons to tie them downand steal their vehicles

This. Personally im interested in what I’ve seen so far. I wish we could get more serious discussion about what the trailers mean

go back to playing borderlands 3 and laughing at the godawful humor

>When lots of players traverse the same route it eventually becones a road, easier to move in there

That sounds pretty cool but I wonder how it will play out once the game is out for a few months to a few years. New players would have it easy with the early adopters being pioneers. Maybe those 2 groups will have a radically different experience

Interesting, I had low expectations based on the first trailers, but this looks pretty good. It is not for everyone, but why should it be?

The spectral enemies come when timefall rain starts, you can venture into their zones if you're forced by the delivery route, the shoulder anthems detects them, they come in a variety of roles

The basic ones are blind, but hear you when you move, you can hold your breath while walking in order to evade them

If you combine your blood with the weapons, you can affect these enemies, use the bola gun to tie them down and evade them, of they find you, they call another type that grabs into you

If you have fewer weight you can try to shake them off, if you loose they drag you to a bigger creature, this isn't a boss battle, it's still a basic form of BT enemy

If he kills you a void out happens and the whole area becomes a crater, you can fight the creature infusing grenades with your blood and other body fluids in order to slow it down o cause damage

The idea is that the changes that players make on the world map won't show up until you've connected to the chiral network. So new players would essentially have to traverse the same hardships regardless of when they start. It's a neat idea, I'm pretty impressed by the implementation.

Do you think voidouts from other players will effect the map for everyone else? I’m trying to avoid watching the footage since the game comes out soon anyway

Do I need PS+ to do all this online shit? It shouldn't need it as I'm not -actually- playing with other people. It's gonna be a real deal breaker if PS+ is required.

Oh shit that’s actually pretty ingenious, thanks user. Here’s a policenauts inspired death stranding picture

Attached: 1CFAA2B2-42C6-4781-BED6-0128A5963909.jpg (960x600, 299K)

Highly doubt it. Lots of ps4 games don’t require it

Bloodborne needed it to even see messages left by other players and shit though, so that makes me think that Death Stranding will require it too unless you want a gimped version.

I can’t pinpoint exactly where the story is headed but im assuming we will end up delivering one last package to the moon

In this battle the whole area is covered in track that hinders your movement, gotta get to higher grounds to get and advantage, if you run out of items you can ask for help of the other players, they can give you extra ammo, blood packages, weapons or just a simple cheerup, once the BT is dead you can go fetch the lost packages and continue, Kojima said there are bigger kinds of enemies and battles and kept stressing this one was a small type

Strand system means both leaving gear and signs around the map, building helpful structures and sharing items to help the players in fights, you reward them with likes, this appears to be all asinchronic, you never interact with their online avatars directly

Once tou reach your destination, some song plays as you get closer and the camera shifts around to make it more contemplative, you get a score on the arrival point based on delivery time and package damage

If a road is left alone long enough it will start to fade away, unused items will also dissappear over time, it seems the algorithm is similar to social networks, the fewer likes something gets, the less it shows on the map

This is a good summary. This is also spot on.

I was actually surprised to hear the Catcher isn't even considered a boss battle.

Attached: 8785845.jpg (1200x615, 49K)

>even the moon

Not mentioned, but I assume it works on the same way because the strand idea is that your world is always shaped by other players actions, I'm sure there's some kind of regulation in the server, otherwise you would get a map full of craters and another player may get one full of machineguns and bikes

I'm looking forward to it flopping real hard and then picking it up for $5 during steam summer sale and then get bored after 30 minutes

It's unconfirmed, the game page right now doesn't mention ps plus but that can change closer to release date, I hope it's not needed

Ignore the bait don’t give it yous

They probably just made it as a general map obstacle, the BT boss battles probably will be the ones related to the plot

>Do you think voidouts from other players will effect the map for everyone else?
They won't. Kojima said he considered it but decided he didn't want players negatively affected by other players fuck ups.

What are voidouts? What are BTs?

As of current information, no plus is needed for anything in any aspect. Unless Sony plans to surprise people with plus requirements everything can be accessed without plus.

EEEHHHHHHHHH?

Voidouts occur when someone dies and the entire surrounding landscape becomes a huge crater. BTs are those otherworldly black humanoids that have those strands attached to them

There is one fatal flaw with this game and Kojimas retarded "genre" he is creating. That is it requires you to play this day 1 to get the most out of it. If you pick this up 2 years later, barely anyone else is playing, none of that facebook world interaction shit will come into play.

Anybody else miss the overall atmosphere of the first few trailers? Everything seemed weird as fuck up until the reveal of Troy Baker and it’s gotten progressively goofier since.

Fuck you you cock sucker

You will have to wait 4 years for that easily you dumb ass

This game genuinely looks awful.

This game genuinely looks pretty fun

She did well playing the FF7R squats.

Attached: 1568668932855.gif (344x564, 815K)

BtS are the ghostly invisible creatures, only the psionic baby can see them

A void out happens when they kill you, the while are implodes and the map is fucked, I'm sure you loose all your items as well

This is the part that still hasn't been shown, dead Sam has to fight in "hades" so he can respawn on the real wolrd, after every reincarnation he gets a handprint marked on his skin, we'll probably get another gameplay video of this section in the future

This game genuinely looks very risky for a high production product.

Well, most companies expect to get their money back on the initial launch of course, whether or not the online survives long enough will depend on the success of the community

If they are still supporting No Man Sky, there's also room for this game to do well

All I want is a MGS V patch or remake that allows coop. I watched my cousin play the game and we agreed it's bullshit that absolutely no co-op function exists

NMS is completely different and very special though. There is no indication that this game will have like free updates for 3 years. Come on now

It's gonna be a niche title for sure, too passive and weird for mainstream gamers, I doubt streamers are dying to show their backers how many packages they can move around Nevada

You do know that NMS only got those updates for free because of the initial launch catastrophe right? It's basically "forgive us" dlc

Yea thats why it's a completely special case and not a standard

We’ve seen Sam briefly fighting in hades in the release date trailer

That's unfortunately a flaw or risk with all multiplayer games. Some get lucky and stay alive for years. Others don't. I played Demons Souls in the final official server year and it was a unique experience playing in what once was a living online community.

why

I am honestly actually really impressed by the gameplay demo
I've always thought a game like this where just getting around the world itself is the challenge would be really cool if experimental and I'm really glad Kojima is the one who did it because he has the autism for it.
I'm just hoping this gets confirmed to be on PC within a year like everyone has been thinking because I really don't want to have to play this and Sakura Wars on my PS4.
I hate my PS4.

Is this the best one to watch? Are there fan translations?

It was paid for by Sony, so no.

There's games that were paid by Sony that also landed on PC and there's a lot of info showing that it'll go on PC.
Kojima Productions is also an independent studio and Sony let Street Fighter 5 on PC too and they funded that since they don't own the IP or studio.
I'm not saying it's GOING to happen, but there's a possibility and I'd like it.

There's gotta be a reason why the game is removed from the PlayStation exclusive list. And the box art no having the only on PlayStation logo.
Kojima probably knows the online component can't survive only on PlayStation especially if the game uses psplus and also to fit the whole connecting theme, he also wants to release it on pc. Where it will have free online usage.

>Make a "boss" fight where you can cause a void-out wiping everything in the range if you lose inside-close to a fucking ruined city that you would want to explore
Bravo Kojima, bravo.

It was very good, but they just translate what Kojima says, none of the ingame cutscene dialogs

Just don't fucking lose, faggot

*50 cents have been deposited into your account*

Kojima GI interview

>"A new concept is really difficult to explain at the start. The stealth game, no one really got it when I first presented it. Your first enemies are always your staff, or the people working with you. “You carry things, you connect, and you only give thumbs-up – what’s fun about that?” was the first reaction. If I had listened, it would just be a normal game. But a lot of staff, they believed me. They said, “Okay, we’ll try it out.” A lot of staff members, whether quickly or late, they start to get it. I can’t really blame the staff, because I can’t show inside of my brain. No one understood at all when I first explained. “Are you insane?” But they participated. Norman, Mads [Mikkelsen], same. When I asked them to join, and I explained to them, they had no idea what I was going to do."

Then that's the punishment, don't lose next time. Also bt doesn't appear always in cities ruins and they also only appear when the timefall rain appears.

105 death stranding details you might have missed
ign.com/articles/2019/09/18/105-death-stranding-details-you-might-have-missed?sf109086166=1

Ok Yea Forums, let's imagine Kojima got cold feet and actually listened to the complains, DS is now just a MGS reskin, focussing on fast travek, TPS and stealth mechanics instead of package management, online sharing and long walks... would you like it now?

Here come more generic shitposts.

>I'm just hoping this gets confirmed to be on PC within a year
Same. I don't have high hopes for good performance (maybe a stable 30fps at best) on the og PS4.

Didn't something similar happen with Quantic Dream's games? I think the most important factor is if we're talking about a first or third-party/independent studio. Hell, even then MS is putting their biggest franchises like Gears, Halo, etc. on Steam despite them having their own competing store on PC.

I think the biggest tell in all of this was after DS lost the "only on PS" label and rumors started pouring in, neither Sony or Kojima did anything to stop that speculation. The fact they didn't comment on it despite that being news seems pretty fishy.

I'd like it less
It would feel less special
I like when developers try to make interesting and unique gameplay with good stories to go with it.
One of the reasons Ghost Trick is one of my favorite games ever.
Kojima also knows how to makes things play smooth, so I think he's one of the people who could do this

This is bad design fuck off you two no wonder this shit has very easy mode.

>ign
I doubt ign noticed more than anyone else did.

Quantic Dream game rights were sold to Epic. Sony usually doesn't comment on exclusivity outside of marketing.

>making a boss battle have actual stakes
>bad design
Don't worry you whinny bitch, Kojima said you can just restart from the last checkpoint if the combat pressure is too much

The co-op will not exists or will not operate right? How did you both reached that conclusion?

Meant for this fag

Just get used to not sucking

>Sony usually doesn't comment on exclusivity outside of marketing
But the devs can if they so choose. It's what happened with Insomniac and Spider-man.

tweaktown.com/news/65728/hideo-kojima-deny-death-stranding-pc-edition/index.html

This is the only thing we got as a comment from kojima answering a question regarding a pc version. This was right before the release date trailer. Why doesn't he just deny it?

>NOW WITH ENGLISH SUBS
>posts image with no subs
what did it mean by this?

What a stupid thing to point out, user

You guys are stupid, the game make you carry a bunch of shit to delivery then it make you not be able to avoid BTs if you are carrying a bunch of shit, if you are carriying a bunch of shit you become slow and you will have difficulty in the boss fight or will have to drop your itens, then if you are killed you lose your stuff AND lose a potential local to explore.
How is this not bad design explain to me? You can make a game that you need to carry stuff and then punish the players for doing exactly that.

can't*

the other funny thing is if you play this after 3 months, there might be tons of ladder swastika, metal umbrella blocking paths, and other fuckery. I can also see people leaving glitched equipment.

Get gud faggot

>there might be tons of ladder swastikas
kek thanks for the idea. i need to remember to do that.

I think you can run away from these encounters with the Catchers. In any case, this event happens if you let yourself be caught by the BTs in the first place. You don't just walk into an encounter with a Catcher in as a mandatory means to progress.

You can avoid them waiting for timefall to pass, using the BB antena and stealth options, you can even defeat them and ask for help from others if you didn't escape combat or got free of the BTS grasp

At least play the game first before bitching about the enemies being too hard and fucking up your game, it has a baby dificulty mode for casualfags too

I personally will leave a ring of sperm packages around Mama.

This tbqh falampai.

I'd much prefer Kojima do something that seems stupid and fail than do something boring and succeed

>every DS thread

Attached: 1567971398727.png (417x401, 61K)

I really wouldn't mind MGSV 2.0, but I'm way more interested in DS' central mechanics now.

It's just more Trump shit. God, I really do hate modern gaming.

Attached: 1568721123576.jpg (935x325, 122K)

have you tried having sex?

I believe is more about PRISM and survillance in the hyper-techno cocaine capital global society we live in.
Consider the following:

>CERN-like project destroys USA as a country
>Chiral network is about making an internet connection in hell and back
>You work for UCA and the Bridges foundation in order to restore the chiral network and help to rebuild the country
>the catch: you install (again) a super survillance network, creating the perfect Snowden nightmare

pic related. Somebody on NSA draw this.

Attached: 343YPNXJGI4F7MOMBJXFR3NUGI.jpg (480x299, 28K)

What will be the ending of DS, anons?
I think at the end Sam dies to give a chance for the BB to live, the BB will end up copying Sam appearance and will be a Luden, a superior human with powers and shit.

youtube.com/watch?v=dbGD_d2cGEk

I was hype for this game's world once. Once.

Certified patrician. Considered by many as the best trailer.

My guess is that someone died or got caught or some BS like that in the moon and you have to go get them for some special reason

The only legit complaints have to do with the physics and how choppy the animation can be at times. Everything else (gameplay style and approach) is subjective

This appears in a novel wrote by one of the most important american authors.

Pychon shitpost on Yea Forums

Attached: Screenshot from 2019-09-18 00-53-23.png (733x110, 121K)

This looks way better than I expected.

Will it require PS+? I don't have it, because my PS4 is a Bloodborne machine only. I'm tempted to buy Day1 now because I don't want to miss out.

Git Gud

Attached: 57359385189.png (181x256, 59K)

>wrote by one of the most important american authors.
I'd argue Pynchon is the most important living American author.
Also how good or hard to grasp is Bleeding Edge?

500kg mission

multiplayer is optional, but it is a big deal to enjoy the whole experience.

probably, a selling point behind the curtains to close the deal with the board of directors

Attached: 1566932333690.jpg (640x480, 96K)

>Will it require PS+?
Store page doesn't say it does. So unless something changes no plus needed.

okay, retard

Thankfully if it ever releases on PC there will likely be a bunch of people who will be playing it for a long while, like many other cult games.
But that is only if it releases on PC and is good enough to get a cult following.

I'm struggling with Gravity's Rainbow. I should have listened to Yea Forums and started with Lot 49. Borges is a walk in the park in contrast with this guy.

Attached: 1567786593139.jpg (338x411, 17K)

>this is implying sony won't got full jew and make people pay just to use the online crap

Yes, I want to play it multiplayer. You don't technically directly interact with other people, so I'm hoping it''ll be free mp like some other games.
But Bloodborne, for example, required PS+ even for the messages, etc.
Cool. Hopefully they'll officially confirm it before launch.

I wonder what they're plan is to 'reset' the world, e.g. when it gets too busy/grief. Rely on player voidouts to destroy player-created objects?

>EUA fuck up their whole country
>Others countrys don't even help EUA and all americans have to live underground
Based Kojima shitting in this trash country.

I managed to make it through Gravitys Rainbow by some miracle. Lot 49 was fine for me. Where does Bleeding Edge fall between the two?

I was thinking about that, how is the amount of stuff players leave controlled? even if 100,000 play it on the first week, there will be a shitton of ladders, packages and motorcycles around. The map can only be so big.

Because he doesn’t know the future. Maybe one day it might. Maybe it won’t. I imagine nobody wants to look like a total idiot the way Shinji Mikami did with RE4.

Looks promising.

I think it may have something to do with the like system, as in everything has a certain amount of time it can stay on the world, and the more likes something gets, the longer it'll be there.
As for packages, they may just randomly appear to random players.

Timefall will with take care of it, it degrades everything, which allows to destroy structures.

This game gets my devilish senses tingling. Can't wait to bait people off the sides of cllifs so I can take their stuff.
I hope us devilish anons can work together to vote eachothers traps up.

I’m still probably gonna get the game, but Kojima sounds like the most pretentious asshat after that interview about how musician, actors, directors, artists understand him but not other game directors. He’s just has to let everyone know he’s not like those other guys.

Now this is all on Sony, this being on the playstation store, but saying no mention of Plus then waiting until after people have bought the game to announce the requirement would extremely scummy.

Yes, he is a pretentious hack, but DS is the most novelty thing in the market right now. Personally I think taking time to think about him it is a waste of time. I would prefer if he shut the fuck up in twitter and the interviews and just presents the game like in TGS.

Attached: 1566421898997.jpg (720x720, 111K)

>t. Rust trickster

No. Kojima wanted to at first but decided against it because it would affect other players negatively. That said, you can still witness the voidout explosion occurr and go to the site to loot the dead player's belongings (which you can then return to a shared locker or just use the items yourself)

where did he said that?

>Can't wait to bait people off the sides of cllifs so I can take their stuff
Traps should be doable, like misleading messages in Souls games. But I'm not sure how you could reliably pick stuff up from players. You'd have to let the server sync, and possibly quit and enter the game again for their packages to finally pop up. The Mules steal equipment from players and store it in their encampment, so I guess there's that.

Attached: 7566357.jpg (955x539, 92K)

Imagine the gameplay. Niggas would be 24/7 suiciding Normans cratering the whole map for the other players and themselves. Would be nuclear disarmament all over the place again and just weaponized the core mechanics .

how long is the game, where is the replay ability, etc.

im guessing it'll have true endings like MGSVs nuke thing, i.e. players have to build enough settlements to rebuild the world.
i wonder how people will fuck it up, like they did the nukes.

Amazing how much of the actual game systems are in this cutscene and we can finally understand them I'm the right context, even the small detail of the BT getting repelled by Sam's bood

Imagine the gameplay. Niggas would be 24/7 suiciding Normans cratering the whole map for the other players and themselves. Would be nuclear disarmament all over the place again and just weaponizing the core mechanics .

You're the retard, click on the link and read the subtitled video, then be grateful OP posted a screenshot instead of margaret's tits to call your attention

I expect many ladder swastikas cropping up online

Interview with Game Informer
gameinformer.com/interview/2019/09/16/hideo-kojima-answers-our-questions-about-death-stranding

>Game Informer: Have you explained Death Stranding to anyone and had it click immediately, instead of taking a while to understand?

>Kojima: Yes, there were some people. Especially creators were quite quick to click. Like [director] George Miller, who is kind of my mentor – my god. In 2017, I went to Australia. I only had a trailer, and I also explained verbally to him. George Miller said, “In all aspects, you are correct. Mathematically, psychologically, physically, philosophically.” He kind of started to draw a diagram, he has this theory, so he said, “What you’re trying to do is correct.” I should have recorded that! I should have sent it to the staff! That was really a happy moment.
>Maybe not people in the game industry, but musicians, directors, and creators. So, that’s why I tend to kind of overlap with musicians and film directors more than the game industry people – because they kind of tend to synthesize with me in that way and click faster.

>George Miller said, “In all aspects, you are correct. Mathematically, psychologically, physically, philosophically.” He kind of started to draw a diagram, he has this theory, so he said, “What you’re trying to do is correct.”

>Going over the hill to see the city
>Song starts playing
>"this part is very emotional"
>Retard playing the game is sprinting down the hill, frantically spinning the camera around
>Dont get a good view of the city

Classic flaw in “cinematic” game design. Especially prevalent in many Western games. Gotta laugh.

I don't see what he said as being pretentious at all, he just points out how some people understand him better than others.

But this
>George Miller said, “In all aspects, you are correct. Mathematically, psychologically, physically, philosophically.” He kind of started to draw a diagram, he has this theory, so he said, “What you’re trying to do is correct.”
Is just weird lmao. What the fuck.

He's right tho, no other game director is as weird as Kojima, Yea Forums itself loves to say he's more of a movie director than a vida one, why shouldn't him be more comfortable with artists then?

cool detail bro

The only thing to know is the gold thing and if it is connected with the ancient egypt mythos.

and pic related. Which I'm pretty sure it is amanita muscaria, a portal to the underworld according to the ancients in Europe, which it is interesting considering how in the automatic translation of this same video that Edepot uploaded to YT, Die-Hard explains the chiral network as some kind of akashic record, a big database accommodated in the hyperspace, about the planet. In that sense, psycotropics as amanita are organic, 100% natural gateways to the other side and by contact, to the chiral network itself.

Imagine the headlines

The umbrella mushroom shelter should have been pretty obvious but I didn't connect the time rain's potential effect on the boxes. The repair spray being used on a stray box sitting out in the open should have been a clue.

I wonder if the rain is going to occur as often as in this demo.

Saddest part of this bit is Yea Forums hating on Miller for being friends with Hideo, calling the freaking Fury Road director a pretentious hack

DONG? WHERE IS MY AUTOMOBILE?!

Because he's poor

IGN as profesional as always

I think Yoko Taro is pretty up there. He's probably even more over-the-top and weird than Kojima.

>no other game director is as weird as Kojima
What about Suda51? Or Swery? What constitutes weird?

Kojima is certainly ambitious, and he’s got the budget, but makes extremely long cutscenes and desperately being in need of an editor (like they have in films and television) doesn’t make him unique. I feel like he’s simply a wannabe.

Taro is weird on a different way, but yes he's another peculiar face of the industry

Imagine a colaboration

>mfw we lived long enough to see a videogame that features the moral implications of engineered babies and artificial utero technology

Mothers are going to freak the fuck out with this game.

Attached: Screenshot from 2019-09-18 01-39-47.png (692x445, 309K)

Only Kojima could make me dumb enough to start buying these again.

Attached: go to monster.com, you'll be a monster.jpg (610x1500, 82K)

Suda has lost his game a lot lately, I'm not familiar with the other dude

So basically this whole game is a delivery quest, but crazy shit does happen to you on the way.
Sounds really cool.

BBs are born on a comatose woman that's kept braindead in order to mantain the psionic connection between the world of life and dead, then put inside a metal pod until it dies in a year

Not that it makes it less horrible

That’s nice, but I’m asking what makes Hideo “weird”. What makes him a “weird” game director without equal?

I can only drink this shit on jaggerbombs

You know, I feel like there’s gonna be some really interesting editorials and op-ed pieces on the game. I’m totally looking forward to it.

is there any game with a higher bizarreness-to-scale (both in terms of size of the world and the general marketing) ratio?

The game actually looked fun, but holy shit those interviews. Kojimbo is further up his own ass than anyone should ever be.

Autistic attention to small insignificant details, the fact that he works on almost every area of the developing process, injecting his westaboo fantasies in his stories even of he's japanese, prioritizing the cinematic elements sometimes even more than the gameplay mechanics, and the weird little experiments like making a short demo for a stealthy game announcement, creating fake studios and Personas for teasers, apocalypse scifi delivery boy simulator, and whatever he hopped to accomplish with MGSV blueballing every player

can someone quickpill me on what mgsv's nuke thing was?

Basically the whole japanese culture it is "weird" for the west tho. Just take by example how they write stories. They leave a lot of thing up to speculation, it is their cup of tea to leave a lot of lore or resolutions to the imagination of the reader. They just work differently. Not a bad thing. They show how the east works in terms of culture and art.

Sorry user, I don't have started to read Bleeding Edge yet. Ironically, that page was posted by user in a Kojima hate thread.

>There's a unique cutscene that only plays when every single player on the world disposes of their nukes
>Players can also just make themselves some nukes at any given moment
>Cutscene will never, ever play

I like it. Considering he said that line on a casual conversation with Hideo Kojima, it implies that George Miller simply reads reality in another terms, far away from human standards, explaining how his brain was able to conceive and execute flawless, perfect opposite movies.

Attached: f1-FpBvwJdfl.jpg (600x400, 72K)

I laughed.
>Yea Forums fears the cinematic experience

Attached: 1568730474647.jpg (272x272, 83K)

why would anyone leave items and equipment behind for other Sams?

Dear god those youtube comments sound exactly like the Kojima shills on this board

I guess it's thanks to my sweet tooth, I just love the way they taste. I don't have them too often because they're energy drinks, but if Monster made a drink that tasted exactly like normal Monster, only it isn't an energy drink, I'd probably drink it as often as water.

TELL ME Yea Forums WHY DOES HE WEAR A MASK

Because stuff is heavy to carry, and sometimes you gotta leave shit behind, or you might simply lose it in a shitton of ways.

theres no real time multiplayer so it wont use ps+

>what is bloodborne

Now get a load of this

>The number of nukes every player had was stored in Konami servers inside a type of data that can support the max value of 4.000.000.000 aprox.
>exploiters generated gigantic quantity of ghosts nukes
>Konami never fixed the bug that allowed this cloning
>exploiters generated an overflow in the type of data, considering they reached at some point 4.000.000.00 + 1 nukes, the memory restarted to zero
>The cinematic was triggered to all PC players in february of 2018

Basically, PC players unlocked a door armed only with a club.

Attached: 1568640942314.jpg (280x223, 13K)

The Chiral Network being compared to the Akashic Records does tie in to how other players can affect each other's worlds at least.

To help them build bridges, literally. Help you help me

Same thing happened to console players, PSN nuke cutscene was triggered like 5 months ago

a game with pvp and co op

Holy shit, I wonder if they generated ghost nukes to zero, or the players did in fact achieved the objective through clean infiltration and within the legal rules of the game

>you have to redistribute the objects in order to generate a good center of gravity
This game is full autistic savant

That company CEO really digs Kojima for some reason.

Are you saying we might be able to piss and grow mushrooms that we can then eat and trip into the underworld?

Attached: 1557640648886.jpg (610x592, 39K)

Took us a while to get to a thread like this Yea Forums its like we always have to go through the ringer before we can have some decent discussion.

I see this fucking blue Sam and I'm like see there is more shit to this game..why is this nigga blue and about to off himself

How limited and human Sam feels kind of seems like a horror game mechanic, like the center of gravity management and having to really stop and catch your breath after using too much stamina,

Looks like he had an important delivery to make and blue it

You mother fucker...

35:04-35:05 right as he enters the BT territory and Kojima says Sam "gets goosebumps" there is a blink in the camera view, as if we're somehow looking through the baby or someone's eyes. What the fuck is that? I thought that was just an effect in the trailers, not part of the actual game world.

Attached: 155982297477.gif (300x201, 835K)

>How limited and human Sam feels kind of seems like a horror game mechanic
Nah, does this look like a horror game to you?

Attached: 1559183012841.webm (640x360, 259K)

It’s a movie

If you ignore the multiplayer stuff then there will be less in your game. If you are active in it you see more. So you can get as much or as little effects on your game as you want.
Good news for people interested in the online aspect but didn't want it to be too intrusive.

Attached: multi.png (480x854, 127K)

>BB is enjoying it too-
>BB is even swimming around, though I have no idea how!
Alright.

Be honest with me, does this sound exciting to anyone at all? Sounds like a glorified postman simulator to me.

The premise of travelling across open world America and avoiding monsters and enemies to solve Kojimbo's interdimensional mystery does excite me, yes

>nintendo implemented real world rules and chemistry systems in breath of the wild to open up gameplay options and make the game more fun
>kojima implemented real world rules and weight systems in death stranding to make it a piece of shit annoying ass game with overcomplicated rules just to mask the amazon prime gameplay

the absolute state

I don't know, I guess I'm not as easily entertained as you I guess.

Also Kojimbo's insistance that he has invented a new genre, when all he did was built a walking simulator around Demon's/Dark Souls online aspects rubs me in a totally wrong way.

The camera may be an in game thing that blinks. Which would explain how Sam punches it.

>make game around concept of helping people
>design boss around getting help from others to encourage helping others
>but also provide easy baby mode so you don't need to interact or help anyone
something tells me, critics won't get the multiplayer concepts

Nah, it's definitely from the perspective of a BB.

Then how can you see the BB if your eyes are the BB?

Critics are facebook, twitter, reddit junkies. They will love seeing themselves get likes and then pat themselves on the back going I'm Helping!
Ironically Yea Forumsirgins will probably be the only ones helping others out of just pure good will and not for self validation Like points.

Yeah the inventory preparation and route planning and the terrain and keeping balance all seem like they'll make reaching a distant location really satisfying. The map looks gigantic and sounds like it will change a lot over time with people building roads and bridges and structures

I think it will get a lot spookier too, those ghosts are completely invisible unless you're close and standing still, you have to watch where that antennae arm is pointing to know where they are at a distance and while moving. The BT names Gazers, Hunters, and Catchers make it seem like there are more different types and he said the big tar lion is the weakest type of monster in the game.

>HHHEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHH?
Jesus Christ bitch pop a losenge and clear your damn throat

Attached: 1568755841237.gif (300x300, 438K)

>Some big structures like shelters, bridges and highways can be build when lots of players cooperate
>When lots of players traverse the same route it eventually becones a road, easier to move in there
>Tou can also leave behind vehicles like trucks and bikes, highways are build able
Can we play as the demons and destroy this shit?

Attached: 1568771438237.jpg (1059x1033, 98K)

Nope. Your void outs don't affect other players.

Alright so the BB is connected to it's dead or brain-dead mother like said, Kojima mentioned this in the footage right in the area where the camera blinked a few times near the BTs. Whether it's some kind of camera or artificial viewing device, or something more occult, what if it's the BB's mother following Sam at all times like Lisa is always behind the player in PT?

Attached: look behind you.png (590x424, 243K)

No. Lisa is the braindead still mother of the BB we saw Cliff toasting to in the flashback.

Are the spectral enemies like mist doors in Souls? Can you get caught up in a rematch with the catcher right after you beat it or does killing him remove all BTs from that area?

Attached: 1568718576720.jpg (645x773, 240K)

>the game make you carry a bunch of shit to delivery then it make you not be able to avoid BTs if you are carrying a bunch of shit, if you are carriying a bunch of shit you become slow and you will have difficulty in the boss fight or will have to drop your itens, then if you are killed you lose your stuff AND lose a potential local to explore.
>How is this not bad design explain to me? You can make a game that you need to carry stuff and then punish the players for doing exactly that.
Learn ENGLISH you filthy ESL cocksucker.

Attached: homelander-3-1014x570.jpg (1014x570, 38K)

I didn't say it was Lisa following Sam, just the mother of Sam's BB. Although Lisa could be the only "stillmother" there is and mother of all the BBs.

The demo trailer said it takes place in part 2 or episode 2 whatever the term is.
It also starts in Capital Knot City where all the intro scenes at the beginning of the game we've seen are.

It's "ebola" and it's a dangerous virus that makes you bleed from all of your orifices.

Can you imagine? We find out that Sam is the first BB or is in some way related to the creation of the BBs by getting dropped into PT. How many casuals would get filtered? Even with a guide at hand, PT can be confusing to navigate for smoothbrains with ADHD.

Attached: 1568464744647m.jpg (1024x809, 69K)

The the game have the classic Morrowwind choice of giving no fucks about the main story and just spend 50 hours fucking around ignoring it?

Didn't they confirm first person segments a long time ago?

NOOOOOO

Attached: kojima.png (614x754, 299K)

So every time you get caught by BTs you're forced to defeat a boss to get back out?
Sounds like an even more annoying version of the Nightmares from DMC1.

Why on earth aren't you playing it?

Attached: WoW_Classic_Main-1280x720.jpg (1280x720, 94K)

>OUUUUUOOOOO
>NARUHODO
>EEEEEEHHHHH???
>SUGOIIII

Truly soulless. Why do they insist on these generic responses?

I thought that was just the view of Sam getting dragged along the ground through the tar over to the other side when he gets caught by the BTs but it'd be sick if it were actually referencing PT.

We've seen a couple.

fuck off with your shitty ass 15 yeal old game

Seeing how there is a thread with that exact same pic and OP text, I think user just accidentally made a thread as a post instead of a new thread. Or it's spam and I just haven't seen the other places it's being spammed in.
