Why did dead rising have so much more atmosphere and soul than the ones that came after

how does Japan do it?

The machete psychopath was objectively the best because he wasn't insane, just suffering from severe shellshock and you feel bad for killing him afterwards.

I still have yet to play 3, one of these days I’ll get off my ass & build a comp that can run the thing, or just buy a Banjo-Kazooie machine to play it.

Man replaying this game has made me hate it, the AI is absolute dog shit.

Frank and Chuck Co-op from Off the Record because of the bantz

Hard to boil it down between 1 and 2 because they both have positives and negatives about them that make a tough comparison

>DLC
The arcade beat'em up DLC for Dead Rising 3 is really a league above anything else in the series honestly.

Dunno. It's nice seeing the Japanese do a game fully focused on a Western character and setting. You just see a sprinkling of their type of humor that makes it a bit more absurd.

What did he mean by this?

Kinda felt bad for this guy but man just look at that face.

Case West, cause i played that with a friend

this game is so fucking depressing. it'll never get a proper sequel though 2 was the closest. No indie game can ever be a spirtual successor because DR is truly a AAA game. There's just too many assets for a indie dev to make and the game entirely revolves around interacting with props. It's wild, DR represented this future of gaming where you could interact with ANYTHING because now we had the hardware to allow it. Who could have expected the true future of gaming to be on rails shit with either minimal exploration or maximum exploration with low interactivity.

All the VAs did pretty damn good in this game.

My favorite part of 1 is how all but like 3-4 psychopaths feel somewhat sympathetic.
