What's the longest amount of time you've spent on a gaming challenge before you won?
What's the longest amount of time you've spent on a gaming challenge before you won?
They gave him the W after how buttmad everyone got at Kalos
Metal Arms Glitch in the System and Ninja Gaiden Black, I got them both when they released and only just went back to finish them in the past couple years.
NGB actually a few months ago, Sekiro motivated me to go back and try one more time.
oh look lmao its like a representation of the zoomer generation
everyone gets a trophy, even the losers :)!
I'm glad the outrage over that garbage had an impact. I refuse to even acknowledge the Kalos anime
Why on God's Green Earth was the final fight so poorly animated, when Sun and Moon as a whole were done so well?
Why did the worst looking Ash have to win, fucking hell
Guess the winning team.
why the fuck does he look so shitty now
I havent watched the anime in forever but I would say top left deserves to be the epic win first with second being the bottom left (reasonably could win with). The other 2 don't even look like they deserve top 8 but let me guess he won with bottom right?
some bullshit about the old style limiting expression so they made him look like a mexican and everyone hates it as far as I know.
Who is that last guy and why is he cosplaying as Ash?
It's SM's artstyle where they decided to make it look more like a kids show. Everyone looks like ass.
he only has 5 pokemon? and 2 of them aren't even evolved? (not counting pikachu)
What the fuck was he thinking in Unova?
>That metal nut one that goes with the mobile game
Eeeeeh...
Ash's win is the equivalent of the game lowering the difficulty for you because you've lost so many times and thinks you suck.
It's a kids show user
I don't recall saying otherwise.
Rainbow Six: Siege had a trophy i needed for the platinum. You had to kill 2000 terrorists in terrorist hunt, the offline pve mode. 2000 is a FUCKLOAD. It took me months, just squeezing in a game here and there, killing 30 or 40 every time i logged off for the night. After i finally got it and earned my platinum, i found out sometime in the last year, they changed the trophies, and took that one out. Feels like a lot of wasted time
Kalos
>Has an overall well balanced team in Kalos and probably the best team he has had ever
>Everyone is pretty much fully evolved except Pikachu
>Loses
Alola
>Shitty team composition
>no 3rd evolution pokemon
>wins
I wish they didn't give Ash the win in possibly the worst league ever conceived.
so far? the "Go Outside" achievement in pic related
>Three flying types
>Two dragons types
Ice types say hello
just set your clock forward
>nu-Ash wins
>Every OG Ash lost
Absolute fucking cringe and NOT based
So the next season is going to take place in all regions appearantly.
Let's say that this a league boss rush.
What would Ash all-star team look like.
Pick 10 + 3 high potential(like gible if he fully evolved it)
The thing is Alain had no ice type pokemon irrc. Weavile had Ice Beam but was taken out by his Hawlucha
SM Ash is so good he doesnt even need 6 pokemon or a fully evolved team to pull of what couldn't be done before
Seriously XY Ash is a fucking joke 5 full evolutions and a special spokemon and he couldnt do it lmao
What the fuck is that last thing
Did the Sinnoh anime really last over 5 years?
>people who don't watch the anime at all now spam twitter with posts about Ash finally winning, all the while thinking that he won a classic style league instead of the most gimicky league yet
>Free space
Pikachu
>2
Smogonbird
>3
Noivern
>4
Scraggy with the hopes it becomes Scrafty
>5
Infernape
>6
Snorlax
His fucking L E G E N D A R Y pokemon
>1 dark type
>2 dragon types
>1 fighting type
>no poison or steel type
1 fairy type would end his carreer
No there was battle frontier
Godmaster mode in hollow knight
I spent like 60 hours in that shit
An Ultra beast that he already dropped/released from his team.
I'll rag on his SM face but what the hell is that BW Pikachu
>Ash-greninja can beat a Mega Sceptile but not a Mega Charizard X
>can tank a boosted frenzy plant
>can't tank a boosted blast burn
I call bullshit
That's what irritates me more about this whole thing. Even fucking CNN reported on this shit; I mean sure they're fake news anyways, but come the fuck on.
Doesn't he have Melmetal?
Fanart, I hope. It's not my image.
>smogonbirb instead of his Zard.
Tobias will cuck him out of a win AGAIN. I bet the cheating fucker has primal Groudon, Kyogre, mega Rayquaza, and z-geomancy xerneas for his last 4 slots
You all know he only won because the ashnime is getting rebooted, right? Hell, he maybe won't be in the new anime.
Any team without Charizard and Snorlax are objectively wrong.
His charizard is historically ass, unless he has a charizardite stone, I genuinely don't know, the bird is better.
Kalos team
Is a reboot and damn sure Ash is getting the boot.
Which league had the guy with the fucking Darkrai on his team?
Pikachu
Snorlax
Talonflame
Gible if Evolved, Krookodile if not
Skeptile
Greninja
Pikachus a male?
Rica already basically confirmed hes not going anywhere
doesn't have the heart tail you retard
Who?
Infernape, Kingler, Snorlax, Pikachu, and Sceptile are essentially the mons with the strongest achievements under their belts left
The woman who plays Ash in the nip version for the past 20 years
Is this even a serious league? "First aloan league" make it sound like a low tier league. Like the orange league or something
pikachu
torterra
snorlax
charizard
greninja
hawlucha/heracross
>thinking types mean anything in the anime
>Basically.
So is not a confirmation and could be something lost in translation.
Charizard is easily one of his best Pokemon, are you retarded?
>Literally anyone and their mom could enter since there absolutely no requirements whatsoever to sign up.
>qualifiers were a battle royale untill 16 people were left including lilie of all people
>first rounds were 1v1
>semi finals were 2v2
>finals were 3v3
I will make you the judge of how legit it is.
>that BW team
Lmao what the fuck was he thinking
Nah son, he's really not good.
All things considered Ash had the right thinking in Sinnoh using Pokemon outside of his league journey for that generation. Like there was no way in hell that he'd beat Tobias since the dude was probably packing four more legendaries but if Ash dropped Swellow, Torkoal & Gible for Infernape, Staraptor & Snorlax that'd probably have been his most solid team at that time.
As for the remaining ones, Unova was absolute garbage, he could've easily had better Pokemon from that region plus the complete lack of type diversity really killed it. Kalos has a crippling type specialization although Greninja and Hawlucha would make for good team members in future leagues. Alola while not being as powerful as Kalos was more varied also I'm genuinely surprised Torracat didn't evolve during the league.
Atm if I hazard a guess as to what Ash's golden team would be atm it's probably;
- Charizard (if it's being obedient)
- Greninja
- Snorlax
- Sceptile
- Dusk Lycanroc
- Pikachu (otherwise Heracross)
>ash was in his 30s when he won
Hope hes really old in the time skip.
Doesn't bulbasaur have one of the best W/L ratio's though? I mean I get why torterra is a solid pick but with the power of anime/gen wun bulbasaur would be a good pick.
Zoomers won.
C O P E
If Ash can win a pokemon league after 20 years you guys can get laid or achieve some degree of success wtf is your excuse?
dats chitting.
While considering the W/L Ratio is a fair judgement I think outside of Pikachu no NFE Pokemon of Ash's would really stand a chance, that being said, Torterra has a fucking terrible reputation so I dunno why the first guy thinks it'd be a good pick over the Darkrai downing Sceptile
It doesnt matter because no leauge will ever top Ash gathering back his OG squad Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charizard from across the world to take down the Battle Frontier.
Unless they do it again with butterfree and pidegot
Who did he even beat in the finals? I did not follow this at all.
It gets even better. His starter, the owl, can never evolve because it ate an Everstone.
Edgelord-san.
I love how this was such big news on the internet, like articles were popping up everywhere. Even reddit had like a 60k upvote thread.
With as much fucking experience as Ash has he should be the greatest pokemon trainer in the series by now. Not even those gym leaders and adults probably have as much experience as him.
why doesn't orange islands count? alolah is just as much of a literal who farmers league
Basically imagine a Korean Starcraft pro moved to Kansas, helped set up a tournament, and mopped the floor with the best competition Topeka has to offer
That's essentially what Ash did
Butterfree comes back, totodile, charizard, hawklucha, some newbie, pikachu is left back so ash can focus on the pokemon hes neglected.
>half the people are just the other kids from the school
Gladion
He is chuuni big difference
If I remember right Bulbs did good in Orange Island too but there's a whole debate on if it counts or not.
Its dumb but team comp really has nothing to do with his chances. His Kalos team was both balanced and game wise pretty good and he still lost. His B/W team was god awful though and he deserved that loss. Going off teams he should have lost this too.
Atleast it's not the dude who entered with magikarp
Infernape is Ash's strongest Pokemon and Gible has absurd potential along with its dreams never being achieved. They both deserve a lock
Here's a quick breakdown;
Round 1 - Silvally vs. Melmetal - Silvally Wins
Round 2 - Silvally vs. Pikachu - Pikachu Wins
Round 3 - Zoroark vs. Pikachu - Draw
Round 4 - M.Lycanroc vs. D.Lycanroc - Dusk Lycanroc Wins
>Infernape
>Snorlax
>Heracross
>Staraptor
>Greninja
>Pikachu (if he finally decided to ditch the stupid rodent replace with krookodile or sceptile
If Gible reached Garchomp then sure but atm Gible and Totodile are basically generational parallels of one another
Part of me wished magicarp was really good but needed some hidden setup.
Like if you used surf, the arena would flood and magicarp would be useful.
If you faggots are done discussing meta stats and shit I'm gonna list off the CHAD team that Ash should form
Infernape
Heracross
Sceptile
Gliscor
Donphane
Snorlax
There you go. Ultimate chad team.
>Imagine being proud of winning this tournament
doragon kurau too strong
So this is the equivalent of a second rate pro player going overseas to win in a weaker league?
>top left deserves to be the epic win
Fairy pokemon say otherwise.
so is this just non-canon now or why does everyone pretend he didn't win in this
You're not really wrong. They're both designed to fill a Kaiju type spot. Same with Tyranitar.
This. Why does nobody remember this.
how about Ash's Pokemon that deserve to be forgotten forever
why did Torracat never evolve
I thought Incineroar was this gen's shilled starter
I still don't get what those squiggles underneath his eyes are supposed to be.
If greninja can bullshit his way through a victory like that so cslan Chadlain's zard who fought mega/primal legendaries and 20 mega evolutions in a row including an E4's mega evolution and won
What was wrong with him?
He didn't even lose to a fairy, he lost to a blast burn from a mega charizard on his donut greninja.
Orange islands was basically a filler season. Nobody gives a shit about them since it wasn't in muh games. Shame, because Ivy was in them.
Some will say a league is a league, but yes.
Atleast in the game they had the decency to only allow people who cleared the island challenge.
I more so meant the fact they're both chaotic Pokemon that have Victreebel syndrome and although can be exceptionally powerful in critical times are too goofy in their base form to remain reliable.
What happened to his hats?
Also it was basically treated as a festival, with people that actually fucking lived there
It happened before Twitter was a thing. That is the real reason. All this hype is being generated by people who didn't even watch the anime and just heard about it on twitter and started to spread it. They all think he won a regular Pokemon League instead of Battle Royal + 1v1 fight stuff.
I'm pretty sure once Rockruff evolved it became obvious who the shill'mon for the anime was gonna be, but yeah I'm genuinely surprised that Torracat didn't evolve during hte league.
What did she do to him?
Its considered a filler arc that filled a gap between Kanto and Johto. Ash goes back to using his Kanto team as Johto starts and it never really mattered.
It was the ending to his 20 year quest that took the world by storm 20 years ago. I doubt that kids from back then still followed it as regularly if at all, but hell, at least that is now out of my mind.
damn, imagine living in a world without pokemon....
They had sex
It's all bullshit man we were wining but that gook came out of nowhere
He still has his battle against masked royale who has an Incineroar. I wouldn't be surprised if Ashs evolves during that battle.
>Brock is a lovesick individual
>ivy looks like an ara~ara~ type, it's been too long since I've seen it so I can't say for certain and who knows what the jap ver is like
>regardless she's in a one piece swimsuit and lab coat
>expecting any man with a middling interest in women to not feel like death for not being able to tap that
Sidenote, does anyone know if he actually got together with olyvia, I'm going to be pissed if they didn't pair up.
Wouldn't it suck?
Now that ash looks like a fucking faggot. Why does he always lose anyways? I've never watched pokemon much but its weird. Usually the main character wins through hard work or iron will.
>ash wins a championship
>brock gets married
>misty opens a bikeshop
Would be a good time, also do you think he'll have a battle against Kukui before he leaves the region?
Because the writers are lazy, they only did this because they lost so many viewers the last time he lost and never recovered, its why they keep doing things like MISTY AND BROCK COME BACK TWICE.
They moved Pokemon to a fucking shit timeslot too so even less people want to watch it.
what is this?
She gave him a look like she would ride him like harley at the end of the episode, but he went already back to kanto by the end of the last episode.
can you imagine spending your childhood going to some school and learning shit you don't care about instead of traveling the world with all types of exotic creatures
Ash is the guy that used a pikachu to beat a rhydon, and lost to mega charizard Y with a greninja.
Don't bring up type advantage.
Brcasue he didn't train in the first season, had to battle an opponent with a shillmon for the 3rd gen games, lost then against a booted meowth and when he was finally set for winning the league with his best team and iron will, was fucked over by the writers to face off against 2 legendaries. After that he was dumbed down.
>brock have you ever had sex before?
>nope, but ive breed pokemon, so i know my way around the block...
It's to give him a reason to go to another region, early on it was because Charizard was a fuckin' slack cunt and needed more training after that it kinda just spiralled out, Sinnoh honestly should've just had Ash confide that he needs to catch a Legendary (which I guess, in the end he did).
Reboot movie following AU ash.
Why does nobody mention that at least initially this nigga is 12 just got into Pokemon of course he's not winning the fucking Pokemon league how retarded would that be
Aloha is the Mickey Mouse league he should have won Kalos
>Ash is such a poor trainer he had to go to the fucking nobody league to win
It's like orange islands all over again, god damn
>but he went already back to kanto by the end of the last episode
FUCKIN SHIT
So can he go back to Kanto and try again in a grown up league now? He never even made it to the fucking Elite Four before that cunt with the Star pokeballs cucked him
charizard has consistently shown to be one of ash's strongest mons when it's listening to him, up to and including beating legendaries solo.
Made for sissy hypno
Because TPC thinks if he wins, his quest is over and they can't use him anymore.
this
>After that he was dumbed down.
Then he got gud again, but got out fucking skilled THRICE by Chad.
I'd show her my GD Balls if you know what I mean
based
>oh she loves me too?
>alright back to kanto
To be fair he is medschool student right now maybe he'll come back once he graduated
Well they know their audience
What was even in the GD ball
well the joke always was that it would eventually turn into something really good
This.
People had thought originally that they would just brush it under the rug like theyt do with any outrage over pokemon.
At least the thick retards running pokemon company understand how their meddling ruined Kalos. It just took everyone hating them and half of their writers leaving
why does he look so weird now?
The studio quit so they had to get shitty new ones
What happened in Kalos?
it's not even 6 v 6. the orange league at least had full teams.
Shit thats funny. Shame 90% of the video isnt the actual fight
Supposedly celebi which would play into sone anime arc that got scrapped
counter the counter
As that user said, Ash was apparently supposed to defeat Alain in Kalos but executive meddling once again turned everything to shit and made him lose again because they keep having that belief that they can't use Ash anymore if he wins a league.
So now that he won the special needs one, it just feels like a sore thumb, completely unsatisfactory and irrelevant.
>At least the thick retards running pokemon company understand how their meddling ruined Kalos. It just took everyone hating them and half of their writers leaving
jesus what the fuck happened?
So cellebi is just in ashes pc this whole time?
Ash jobbed spectacularly after everyine hyped him up to win.
They hyped up Ash and his roster like fucking mad, did some hyperbolic time chamber-tier shit to train, and Ash jobbed it in the end. Like, the term, "jobbing" became one of the most popular terms on Yea Forums immediately after that.
No, Celebi is not in the GS Ball. It was supposed to be, then they wanted it for a movie. Nobody knows what is in the GS Ball, if anything.
Incineroar having a very set personality seems kind of at odds with Ash’s Torracat’s backstory.
Just have him enter a champions championship tournament.
Ash always loses though, this thread exists because that's his thing.
He gave that ball to kurt and the series just completely forgot about/ignored it
Kalos team got carried hard by Pikachu. It is by far the worst performing team.
Ash had one of the best endgame teams he's ever had, including one who was so meta in the games he became a meme, and a magical anime OC superfrog that only he had
He lost to something that had a type disadvantage in the last round
Also he had a love interest that he dropped like an ugly baby as soon as the season ended
Why do I remember it being a horde of Tauros?
I spent way too much time as a kid trying to win in pokemon emerald elite 4 as I didn't know what the hell a pokemon type was
Sinnoh was at least entertaining as he ran up against a trainer who used legendaries and took out two of them.
yeah, pimpnite's videos are a lot of fluff
but that's also the fifth karp sweep he did.
and that time people thought he wasn't going to lose and it was planned that way til the higher ups stepped in. You can only kick your audience in the dick so many times before they get fed up and boy did they ever
You don't get it.
In the anime the league is just one big qualifier for the E4+champion challenge.
Winning the league would qualify you to challenge the champion for his or her seat, but alola doesn't have a champion or E4.
Is there anybody Four Vagina's won't come to laugh at?
Took me a week to solo Extremoth.
Took a long break and then it took another week to TA solo him.
He caught those in the Safari Zone, in the episode that got banned because the SZ was run by Clint Eastwood and he took a shotgun to Jessie
That was a weird episode.
One, he lost to the second one
Also even though it was a guaranteed loss the second the first one came out the fact it gave Sceptile some second wind was cool
>Ash always loses
That's literally the entire problem, user. This time people wanted him to win because he put in the work more than he ever had before, and because Ash is supposed to be our inspiration for the show, his success was supposed to be our success.
And he lost despite it all. Imagine being invested in the show for 20 years just for the show's creators to say, "It doesn't matter how hard you try, you're always going to he a failure" .
TL;DR: Pic related
What the fuck
He took out the second one on a Double KO with his last pokemon. It counts.
Goku lost over and over in the original Dragonball. the point was that he still had more to learn. He didn't take it personally and nor did the fanbase.
I was a teen by the time Pokemon the show was out in America.
I watched it back then but the first season and the first movie were the only ones I watched.
I never got into the card game but I did have the Burger King collectibles.
>Pyuku
>Muku
>Actually had him consider type advantages
>Actually had him use advantageous Pokemon from previous gens
>Still job out, beating only two
Dragonball wasn't an anime that was broadcasted for over twenty years though.
>In an interview with Masamitsu Hidaka in 2008, it was explained that the GS Ball was originally going to contain a Celebi that was to be the star of a large arc of the Johto saga. However, it was decided that Celebi would be the star of the fourth movie, so the story arc was viewed as redundant and shelved. The ball was left with Kurt with the hopes that viewers would eventually forget about it.
he didn't lose for 20 fucking years, had accomplished other shit on the side, and eventually won in the end
He lost only two times and as Roshi said after winning their fight, he didn't want Goku to become cocky by winning a tournament so early in his life. That's nothing compared to the constant blueballing that Pokemon has always been.
Consider also that XY had a whole special saga for Alain defeating countless Mega Pokemon by himself, they set up their final fight from very early so everyone had really high hopes about that league.
Goku won the Tenkaichi Budokai before the four year mark in publication.
Thats kind of dark
Legendaries are stupid OP in the anime, even the lesser ones Tobias used.
>Ash was the only one to beat Darkai
>he would've won without Tobias being a massive cockblock
It was his fucking time. After the loses he learns enough to beat the Battle Frontier, carries it all over to Sinnoh and they need fucking legendaries to stop him.
Goku won the budokai tourney like 3 years into the series instead of Ash who won the specialympics after 20 years of jobbing
>Why does he always lose anyways?
The suits genuinely believe that if Ash won, he would end his journey. The idea that he may continue training/traveling to win other leagues never actually came up or occurred to them.
Kalos was a loss purely because the executives ordered it. This was a win because it actually does not matter in the slightest, it's like the Orange League.
Meanwhile this fucker won every tournament he entered
If you think Goku loses in a way that matters and has creative purpose the writer intended for. Ash losing is LITERALLY higher ups making executive decisions despite the entire staff wanting the contrary, because Ash winning somehow means he can no longer be a relatable character for the audience.
Goku lost two Budokais (one due to complete chance) then became the strongest person in the world then universe then multiverse
Would it have been better if instead of having TWO legendaries, Ash just barely beats Darkrai then his last Pokemon or two lose to attrition from weaker Pokemon?
And wasn't Ash the only one to actually knock out any of his pokemon in that league?
That's my shitty webm, cool. Anyway congrats my boy satoshi, I wish you had won back in kalos though. Props to the doggo for tanking so many hits too.
>Goku lost over and over in the original Dragonball.
No one remembers the original dragonball and even then Goku wasn't Kid Goku for twenty fucking years.
Nah full Madara or bust
The Sinnoh one makes me more upset than the Kalos one
>lol check out these legendary Pokemon I just pulled out of my ass bro
like what the actual fuck were they thinking
Because dragon ball's was 3 years of serialisation and 3 tournaments entered until he won one with the whole purpose being for him to get stronger until it wraps up in an entertaining final fight to round off his childhood
Yeah instead of just not allowing Rowlet to evolve like Squirtle or refusing to like Bulbasaur, the animators made sure the former would never get a chance to period. Rowlet is forever a Rowlet.
Losing does relate to the audience in a way.
Most people will never be first at something in their lifetime.
And the,"everybody wins" mentality going on currently is cancer.
I remember seeing it start popping up in the mid 90s when they started giving participation trophies out in kid's sports games.
Children have to know what it feels like to constantly lose.
Instead we raised a bunch of brats who think they are entitled to everything and mustn't be shamed or criticized.
iirc the guy with the legendaries didn't even win the whole thing
So what's ashes deal in the movie.
What's he up to there?
Yes. Tobias was basically 6-0ing everyone and his Darkrai was shown to be unstoppable.
Tobias immediately 6-0'd his finals opponent after Ash.
Chads, user.
Chads happened.
Chads who play to win.
Ash was getting too powerful, I mean two fully evolved starters, the first Pseudo he's ever owned and a Water-Type to rival the Squirtle Squad, how else would you stop the mad man?
Melting achievement in Nuclear Throne where you gotta beat the game without getting any of the HP power ups probably.
I got it about 3 days of heavy playing after I blew up the nuclear throne at the same time I died.
Ash went to a town during his journey without companions, Team Rocket accidentally set off a bomb that not only filled the air with toxic gas but cut off all power to the city, Zeraora is attacking them because he it went berserk after some poachers tried to capture it.
It was retarded how they never gave him a garchomp, fucking cancerous writers.
Poor doggo is so beat up and tired :(
It's possible to outplay someone without just whipping legendaries out of your ass.
god the new artsyle is so shit... its been going downhill since the games have. has no one else seen the pattern here?
Tobias was a grim reminder that there are some trainers out there that Ash just can't keep up with yet. It's still stupid but I feel like Tobias presence wasn't that bad. If X/Y followed Sinnoh as opposed to the colossal fuck up that was Best Wishes and Ash actually WON the fucking league it would be the absolute best conclusion to his story. But nah let's have him lose to this character that was introduced in a good special. Fuck Kalos.
Christ you're old
Christ I'm old because I was 11 when it became big
>punch that looks like it'd dislodge the jaw doesn't knock it out
>tip of the head that looks like it barely connects sends the fucker flying
How are you supposed to not be able to relate to Ash when we beat the Pokemon League every Pokemon game?
But is he also challenging the league/gathering badges in the movies as well?
Alola with Lycanroc vs. Lycanroc is the closest I think we've gotten to the Blastoise vs. Charizard from the Silver Conference in terms of two parallel opponents, it'd be neat to see a Galarian Rival to Ash who uses a near identical team to him in terms of composition.
Probably, we've only seen two movies in this new canon, since the newest one isn't canon to the series at all.
18 years to beat Super Metroid blind.
You can tell that a lot of the cuts to the series really hurt it. It was an attempt to make him easier to animate and make it look more kid-friendly, but it really was just used to cut corners because they knew almost everyone had abandoned the shitshow.
Blame the earthquake.
Like they had an entire big team rocket vs plasma plot worked out which is why jessie and james were so strangely competent, but they had to scrap it all due some EQ.
Who do you think the target audience is? I'll give you a hint, it's the ones that will go and do random things in the game for no discernible reason for weeks on end and make no progress towards completing it.
>Tobias was a grim reminder that there are some trainers out there that Ash just can't keep up with yet.
It's basically a reminder that you should play to win, not play your favorites. The message the show had been peddling for years is basically worthless if the person who is the vanguard for that message always loses because of it.
In terms of the actual battle it was on par with his fight again bellsprout
Unova was objectively the worst loss.
Lost to a dumbass with 5 pokemon and he bullshitted a mid match evolution.
Coupled with ash being retarded during that season, it was just disgusting to watch. Not even him as a rookie shitting the bed in Kanto was that bad.
But it's not as bitched about since people either didn't watch that shitty season, or had no expectations after watching up to that point, compared to Sinnoh and Kalos.
What about electrivire vs infernape?
>Who do you think the target audience is?
Not him but I actually do not know. It's not relevant enough to the games to be kids who are interested in pokemon, and it's not unique or compelling enough to be for people who played the games and want a trip down memory lane.
It seems like a product with no audience. Then again, it's been that way since Johto so someone has to be watching it.
>Coupled with ash being retarded during that season, it was just disgusting to watch. Not even him as a rookie shitting the bed in Kanto was that bad.
Someone post the screencaps of the Elesa fight. That shit was should be in the history books.
this is the most boring mythic in the franchise. It didn't even get a good appearance unlike Magearna
That is true but in terms of the Pokemon themselves they're not really parallels, Infernape was a Magmortar or Electivire was an Empoleon then it would be a perfect parallel but the thing with Blastoise-Charizard and Lycanroc-Lycanroc is that not only do the Pokemon have an innate rivalry but they're also essentially reflections of one another in the games as well.
His team was literal unarguable garbage, nobody expected anything
>Ash could put together a Smogon-tier meta team using the Pokemon he has caught so far
>he could sweep everyone in the anime
>instead he always puts together some unoptomized shitter team
Why?
I always wondered if letting him evolve them all to last stage would fix it. Or make it less bad.
Because I only really remember Krookadile from it.
Makes you wonder why give him such a shit team when you should be shilling the fuck out of the new pokemon that are the only ones in the game until post game
>Longest you spent on a gaming challenge
There's an old MUD that I've been playing regularly since the late 90s, and maybe a thousand or so people still play it. Once a year there is an in-game tournament where people face off against each other, and the winners get in-game prizes or cash prizes.
Since 1998, I've qualified to compete every year, and I've participated in 21 tournaments. Of those tournaments I've won once and placed top 8 twice. Next month I'm taking a week off to compete again.
(I've been planning my build for months now, but I'm fairly certain I'm outmatched as I have a job, wife, and kids and don't have near as much Highest ranked gear as some of the people I know competing.)
I am not old.
I am not even close 40 yet.
30 somethings are still very young.
A whole night doing that pointy nose girl from cuphead in S rank, shit was a nightmare to me
You're almost middle aged
Middle aged is more in the 40s.
Most people live to around 80+ now.
My grandmother is over 90 and still kicking.
>30 somethings are still very young.
Oh user...
>he think dying at 60 is normal
Bruh
Don't you have some prune juice to be drinking?
>tfw 27 year old boomer that eats prune-flavored baby food as a pick-me-up
For a moment you almost gave me a heart attack, user.
I am 29 and my mom was almost EXACTLY the same as yours when she was younger.
It's uncanny, my God.
>Be 30 yo Boomer
>Fucking all the hot girls down at the local University
>Zoomers in background crying while screaming "B-But they're ooooold! Why?!"
Nobody plays those anymore
Nigga it's a joke.
Why do Kanto-Ash and Alola-Ash look so different? SM anime looks like shit
>Lost his first league before I was even born
Fucking finally, I thought he'd never win.
>tfw Ash took so long he became fat and ugly
who thought this was a good idea? is cringier than the first movie
I hadn’t heard of this fight before
>Ash brings ONE (1) Pokemon to a 3v3 Battle
>Goes back to the Pokemon centre and brings ONE Pokemon back, even though he’s allowed 2 more
>Chooses a grass type to counter the Electric type enemy, because he forgot the enemy mon is also FLYING type
>Fails in using Attract because he forgot the gender of the enemy mon, even though it was explicitly revealed 5 minutes ago
>Literally doesn’t even consider using Pikachu until the Pokemon itself reminds him
>this is the so called good animation people defend when people only criticize ash new look and some pikachu's weird faces.
if we're counting movies I would say he could use latias + mewtwo
forreal though how cool would it have been if he used latias vs that one dudes latios in sinnoh
i think its noncanon, you never see tracy outside of it?
>Ash is getting the boot.
He sells too much merchandise to children to ever get the boot.
Which is even more bullshit because Ash already won a gimmick league
You see him sometimes in the background in oak's lab.
His Primeape should be grayed out too, it hasn't been seen since he gave it away to that dude for "training".
>cars
>not trains
one job
brock should've banged lucy (pike queen)
So is the issue with Ash the same issue with Street Fighter where they could choose to make each one after 2 more complicated and intricate, but have a high-risk of alienating newcomers or scrubs?
I'd imagine Smart Ash is like bringing in Street Fighter 3.
Kalos was a vastly more impressive win, he was going against Mega Evolutions with a barely above-average Greninja, and it was heavily implied the only reason he lost was because Alain was unknowingly cheating by using Lysandre's Mega Ring which was storing infinite energy.
Alola was boring, they just kept giving Ash overpowered pokemon, first Rowlett got an everstone, then he got a fucking Ultra Beast and then he got a legendary, Alola Ash is a colossal Mary Sue, at least Unova had the decency to push him down a peg to reflect his retarded personality from the season, Alola Ash acts as retarded but he wins anyway.
Everything that's being discussed in this thread makes me think watching the pokemon anime is a massive mistake.
I mean, what's the point of it all if he never fucking wins for 20 years and then only wins the absolute worst league? Is there a single reason to actually watch the show?
comfy adventures
So is Kanto canonically the strongest region or something? Or was it because he was too inexperienced?
all because he appeared in the suicune movie, so they couldn't reuse a legendary after its movie premiere for some reason
Is it actually comfy, user? Don't lie to me.
He was inexperienced, his Charizard did stuff on his own and the competition was fierce.
>is there any reason to watch the show
Unless you're a child, no. That is the demographic, not us.
Oh hey, the special/adventure manga actually used a plot point like that when they revealed Ruby had been holding onto Celebi since before he actually arrived in Hoenn in the first place.
>ash hasn;t twisted his cap for years since kanto
>he does it in sinnoh
this would've been kino if he didn't lost, adding tboias with his team of legendaries was the dumbest thing writers did
so this trophy means nothing, its a golden star for participation
Wait, he doesn't do the cap twist anymore? What the fuck, that was iconic when I was watching kanto as a kid.
fools find this shit funny
He did it in BW for a while
You recall incorrectly, retard.
BUT WHERE THE FUCK IS BUTTERFREE?
>, its a golden star for participation
He still won a tourney, but he can't do shit with it unlike the other league tourneys.
You can’t counter a counter, that’s not how that fucking works
didn't beat eternal daughter's final boss until I got a gamepad after 10 years. it was too hard on keyboard. and I beat cave story's hell on keyboard.
Where are Jessie and James?
yeah but BW happened after sinnoh, and in sinnoh it was during the finals which is what made it really symbolic.BW was just trying to baint nostalgia but at that point it didn't matter. such wasted opportunity in sinnoh specially considering that BW was a semi reboot
Your mom looks like she fucks black guys
so its pointless
So I stopped watching Pokemon anime after Johto. Did Gary Oak ever win?
You sort of can. That's how a meta game works. I have a special attacker. You counter my special attacker with a special wall. Let's say Blissey. I counter your counter with a physical sweeper or a wall breaker to counter your counter.
People actually watch this?
you call that boring? previous on was a shitfest
No he quit and became a professor like his gramps
I’m not talking about meta game wise
I’m talking about anime wise where Ash won because he used the actual fucking move Counter against Gladion’s who just used Counter
He did, but then lost against Cynthia as she was still champ in B&W.
>Kingler
my nigga. Kingler absolutely destroyed the match he was in.
No he means counter as in the move counter.
You can't counter(the move) a counter(move)
On the matter of Kalos, I’m less annoyed that Ash lost (because I’ve come to expect it at this point) and more annoyed by the fact that it was to a fire type move from a Mega Charizard with his Greninja
Like fuck Pokémon and it’s bullshit favoritism
so why they didn't let ash win and lose to a champion instead?
Who's the short old guy in these?
user, say we're having a boxing match. You throw a left jab, I counter it and connect a punch squarely in your jaw. You then, after getting hit full force in the face, throw a counterpunch with your right arm while mine is still extended.
>not water
Ash caught a Registeel?
Mr Goodshow who's opening and closing the leagues. Though he stopped showing up after Sinnoh I think.
The Latios was also knocked out in a double knockout.
Sinnoh. What a fucking nigger that guy was.
Krookodile is the only one he bothered to give a held item so it gets a slot at least
i really don't see this godlike animation they brag about, kalos had a lot of good animation in every battle
well, Alain deserved to win in the Kalos League, he was a great protagonist.
What's the name of the mud?
Shouldn't poipole be greyed out and replaced with meltan.
As much as people like to meme him Alain is hardly the worst person that Ash lost to.
Alain was the MC of his own spinoff series where he showcased some insane feats.
It's better than losing to some literal who who is introduced right before the league so that Ash could job to him.
It's a slightly outdated list
Couldn't find a more recent one that showcased all his mons.
Back to work on your fucking movies yajima, you made it very clear you have a high opinion of your literal special snowflake edgy donut steel OC "protagonist" you dont need to tell us here too
Didn't think it was possible for someone to seethe harder than a BURASTO BAAN.
Not him but,
I don't hate Alain winning because of Alain, I hate it because of course it was CHARIZAAAAAAARD. Not to mention Alain pulls an entire team on par with Ash's well trained team out of his ass when his entire character was "I'm using Charizard and nothing else"
Also why make Ash Greninja a super special mary sue form to beat megas if he doesn't end up beating the only mega that mattered
Probably just the perspective of the image.
I bet if I show another perspective it would be different.
She had a black boyfriend in her late teens.
My grandmother didn't approve.
She crashed his car on a military base and I think the relationship ended around that time.
Why are you posting pics of your mom?
You were so cute, user.
>half of their writers leaving
Wait, what?
>Probably just the perspective of the image.
I bet if I show another perspective it would be different.
Ok, how the fuk did you knew? What I am missing here?
You're absolutely right, in this pic they don't look alike at all.
It took me over a year for my 8 year old ass to beat pokemon diamond, most of the time was trying to figure out how to get to sunnyshore city and trying to beat the elite 4
>Pokemon Diamond
>8 years old
>8
>13
back to fortnite, kid
Because all Pokemon kids appreciate their mom.
Perspective and difference in age can do that.
If people still don't understand why becoming the champ of alola feels so empty, just imagine alola ash fighting himself from any of the other leagues.
Sinnoh or kalos ash would decimate alola ash. He could maybe beat unova ash or old kanto ash at best. He didn't win by getting better, he won by facing the easiest challenge ever.
Maybe he means he was 8 years old when Pokemon Diamond came out.
Fuck, I'm retarded. Young motherfucker though.
>anime has to end if ash wins a league
>that artstyle
>all those ripoffs
Yokai watch really was the Pokemon Killer. We only had to watch it crawl to its grave.
Hell no, you're misremembering.
nigga
SM Ash fought in easy mode league where it's 1v1 to 2v2
>jobterra
>Pikachu takes out T-Tar AND Metagross solo and still has enough juice to to damage Charizard
>Noivern jobs instantly
>Hawlucha jobs to a mon it is 4x effective against
>Talonflame, the best regional bird, ties with the worst regional bird
>Goodra loses to a half dead Bisharp
>Greninja loses to Burasto Burn
Wow imagine if we had to go to school and also if pokemon didn't exist
why are you literally ignoring the context? Noivern and Goodra jobbed definitely, but Hawlucha and Talonflame fought great. Hawlucha even had that wrestler power up and beat the guy before him.
>worst regional
that's Nocturnowl, and if the Magikarp episode prove anything, using base stats is shit. Talonflame was fighting a goddamn Macross.
>Burasto Burn
this one is about bullshit rather than being a jobber
Unfezant is way worse than Noctowl
>no bimbo NPCs
>no MC/hypno content
pass
LMAO he had an unevolved gible?
and oh man that unova team. fuck this show. im so done.
He should have won in Kalos.
Ash's Unfezant is, but it's not a Macross.
If everyone could have entered the league, why didn't Team Rocket enter?
It would be cool to have them actually try and compete for once even if they just take down a random mook only to get BTFO by the "antagonist" or rival
They actually did. Jessie and James fought against each other and James won, but he lost his second fight.
Yo, word? That's neat, especially since James won. Imma check that shit out ASAP
The competition suuuuure was tough
He litterally never won a single battle. Not one even in the episode he's caught in
People forget about the battle frontier and orange islands. Although I can understand why, they should have him go do like a boss rosh of all the previous leagues.
They never will, he'll be mostly a loser forever.
All of them are shit.
This. There's no value in a league where a guy brings a shitty Magikarp.
>the only times Ash won were the make-believe Leagues
couldnt it just shit out the rock?
I don't know, user. The one with Z-Moves, Pikachu, a special Lycanroc and a Mythical?
>Play MGSV TPP
>Get all my troops and staff to S++ rank
>And I mean
>ALL
>MY
>TROOPS
>AND
>STAFF
Ok! Let's see what's next
>Mission 43
I've never felt so fucking betrayed by a game, and this also solidified my hatred for Kaz
I knew Huey was always a dick, but honestly man, Fuck Kazuhira Miller. "Let's get this over with" as I'm saying farewell to my comrades and he always went nuclear over petty shit
Liquid did himself a favor by axing Miller
What I'm getting at is that what happened to me is what's gonna happen to Ash: He'll lose the champion defense title and everyone will hate the anime again
He had a sixth pokemon, Poipole, but had to release it so it could go home, similar to XY Ash releasing Goodra so it can protect its home. Only difference is that XY Ash brought back Goodra for the league whereas SM Ash didn't have to bring back a pokemon for the league.
If it helps, the next few episodes are about Ultra Beast invasions and Ash is meant to have a battle with Kukui (which is titled Full Battle), so it's possible that Ash will get his Poipole back.
>Kalos
Dragon/FLYING
Fire/FLYING
Fighting/FLYING
Water
Dragon
Electric
>Alola
Grass/Flying
Fire (Potentially Fire/Dark if it evolves against Kukui)
Rock
Steel
Electric
Poison/Dragon (If he is getting Poipole back in the next few episodes)
Ash's Alola team is way more diverse and balanced than his Kalos team. I can think of multiple types that could ruin his Kalos team's day but I can't quite think of a single typing that would harm more than two members of his team.
Also, all of Alola Ash's pokemon have pulled their weight in the league. Only Ash's Hawlucha and Pikachu were worth shit in the Kalos League.
>Ash's Rowlet gets KO'd
>NooOOOoO IT DOESN'T COUNT AS A KO HE'S JUST SLEEPING!!!!
>this actually works
Damn, that XY team is great.
what took him so long?
>Needs to fight mediocre trainers on an island in the middle of nowhere to win
Actually, I'll correct myself on this. Most of Ash's team in Alola would be weak against Ground-types whereas half of Ash's Kalos team is weak against Electric.. So Ash's Kalos team is ever so slightly more balanced. I'd still claim his Alola team seems far more diverse type-wise though.
Every match went like this
>ash's pokemon gets the shit beaten out of it
>opponent barely gets scratched
>ash's pokemon gets hit, this should finish it
>doesn't
>just retaliates and instakills the opponent
I don't think that's a good idea here of all places user
I don't think he'll ever use older mons again, BUT if he were to, I would bet on Johto and Sinnoh.
>Why?
Pokemon Let's Go Johto is all but confirmed.
Gen 8 remake WILL be Sinnoh.
Pikachu (+ Pikachu's Z-Move)
Mega Charizard
Ash-Greninja
Snorlax
Garchomp (Gible was said to be capable of sweeping the rest of Tobias's team so, fully-evolved would rape Tobias easily)
Naganadel
I also have to give points to Sceptile, Heracross, Lycanroc, Melmetal, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Swellow, Infernape, Krookodile, and Hawlucha as members of the team. But I think a Mega Charizard, Garchomp and Naganadel would have the highest potential out of all mons.
Miller is based. He was betrayed by everyone around him and ultimately helped Solid Snake restore balance to the world. He was on the right side of history, Medic and Liquid were not
>Team Rocket could have won the league with a team of Beware, Mimikyu and Wobbuffet
The animation was poor in this episode outside of Pikachu vs Zoroark. They used a meme animator that has been highly criticised. We are getting good animators for Guzzlord episodes and I think the Ash vs Kukui episodes though.
>Plushie seller
>USUM shillmon
>Formerly shillmon
>Pokemon GO/8 gen shillmon
I dont quite like the Alola team
>Kanto
Lost to his superior clone that gives his pokemon shitty nicknames but, to be fair, Team Rocket fucked up his team before the match, the referee was a huge faggot (disqualified pokemon for falling asleep due to moves and shit) and Charizard outright refused to battle.
Regardless, he deserved to lose as a new, cocky, trainer that didn't fix his Charizard's issues beforehand and he honestly relied on the natural power of pokemon like Kingler to get by.
>Johto
Defeated Gary but lost to a veteran trainer from Hoenn. That veteran trainer's team was crippled by Ash though and he lost to the winner of the league in the Top 4.
>Hoenn
Lost in the Top 8 in an extremely close match with Tyson, who went on to win the Hoenn League. Ash's Hoenn team became much stronger after the league in the Battle Frontier arc though.
>Sinnoh
Lost to Tobias, a faggot that sweeped everyone with a Darkrai. Ash was the only person in the entire region to defeat Darkrai, let alone that faggot's Latios. Not even Tobias' opponent in the finals could beat Darkrai.
>Unova
We don't speak about Unova.
>Kalos
Lost in an extremely close match against Alain, who defeated an E4 member and made a Champion sweat. Ash should have won the match but for some reason the execs forced a loss.
>Alola
Won an extremely close match with Gladion, who used a Legendary, a Zoroark that he inherited from his father and an extremely strong Lycanroc by using a Mythical, Pikachu and his own Lycanroc.
reminder that hawlucha is the most based mon ash has
That's not even what happened, Ash's wolf countered an uppercut with his fucking fur after doing a backflip which somehow knocked the opponent across the stage and instakilled it.
Silvally isn't a legendary
Tell me about unova nigger
Yes, it is. Go look it up. Silvally is considered to be an official legendary pokemon.
But unova never happened
Ash lost to a dumb kid who only brought five pokemon with him because he didn't know the rules. Also his Riolu evolved mid fight and murdered Ash.
He lost despite having a 6-5 advantage.
Alright, nigger but I warned you.
Ash was reset at the start of the region, acting much stupider and forgetting the most barebones basics of things worse than ever before. He lost to a rookie trainer using a starter pokemon, albeit Pikachu was sapped by Zekrom just prior but fucking STILL.
By the time of the league, shit was still shit but Ash met this retard named Cameron who only had 7 badges and fought the league was in Johto. Ash had to tell the stupid faggot that he needed 8 badges and that it was in Unova.
Come league time, Ash defeats the rookie trainer in the Top 16 but goes onto fighting Cameron...
Cameron and Ash fought toe-to-toe and shit but when things looked bad for Cameron, his faggot Riolu evolved into Lucario mid-battle and fucked Ash up, causing Ash to lose.
Ash went from reaching the Top 4 after defeating his most serious and experienced rival and lost against a trainer that no one else could push as hard as he did to losing in the Top 8 against his weakest, stupidest rival in the entire series.
Oh, you thought that was bad? Cameron is so fucking STUPID that it turns out he only had FIVE POKEMON IN THE SIX VS SIX MATCH. Ash lost to this retard Six versus FIVE.
So yeah, that's why we don't talk about fucking Unova.
Oh, right! How could I forget? Cameron lost to Virgil! THE EEVEE TRAINER! Who went on to win the ENTIRE LEAGUE! Yes, the Unova League was won by a fucking faggot that used all the Eevee evolutions on his team, which made the league even fucking stupider.
What did the writers have against Unova region? Its like they went out of their way to make it as retarded as possible.
>lost to virgil
i guess you could say he lacked motivation.
Writers assumed that with gen 5 being a reboot, everything had to be rebooted.
Pokemon BW and BW2 werent very well recived to the point it broke Gamefreak for ever, maybe the anime writters didnt like it either
The Gen 4 team was literally perfect
Pikachu has to be some ultra EV/IV perfect, level 100 pokemon by now right?
The mileage counter gets reset every season, so no.
I can't believe Ash is finally a Champion and Pokémon Master.
You mean why the powerlevel went into ridiculous levels with SM.
Still...
>Mythical legendary Pokemon
>Mostly good Pokemon with his own unique mode
>Torracat (with possible good stats)
>Borb (shit, but has an Everstone
>Pikachu
>Poke "not appearing on this league" mon that is also a poison semi-legendary.
That team at least has a pretty good balance compared to the sheer stupidity of Kalos, which only needs a fairy/ice Pokemon, and they're pretty much history.
It was the longest running gen
Pikachu was able to k.o. a fucking rhydon by shocking the horn, I'm sure the iron tail it has would be more than capable enough to take out fairies. Lawlucha makes ice a coin toss depending on how the writers feel.
Sure, but we're talking about how Pikachu in SM is even leagues above Sinnoh/Kalos Pikachu, AND IT ALSO HAS A FUCKING SIGNATURE Z-MOVE.
Again, if we're going to be completely fair, a fully evolved/well done Alola team like Ash had could possibly be Champion-tier, considering the sheer utility of each mon on his group.
Everyone with a brain understood behind all of Unova's GREAT story (that is actually the worst shonen-shit ever) and some post content, it was the beginning of the storm for the death of Pokemon as we knew it.
4 years of "Piplup use Bubble Beam!" indeed
>watching Pokemon commercials after kanto
Literally and actually zoomer behavior.
>war analogy
Go eat some tablets, ungrateful zoom zoom
I've owned F-Zero GX for about 12 years and I still haven't unlocked all the AX characters.
If type coverage meant shit in the anime then Ashes WATER type greninja would have beaten Alains FIRE type charizard to begin with and the whole debate wouldn't even be necessary.
What happened to Greninja
Alain's Charizard is Dragon/Fire when it mega evolves. Dragon is resistant to Water, meaning Charizard X takes neutral damage from Greninja's Water moves.
Greninja still went down from the Fire-type move, Blast Burn.
Similarly to Ash's of becoming the Pokemon Master, I still have not become the Adventurer Master in Skyrim. I keep having to restart whenever Lord Howard releases another, excellent, Skyrim port.
didnt he already won the orange league? seems pretty simmilar to the alola.
The water type still has the defensive advantage.
It's just one example I thought of, the show has been filled with countless instances of type advantage being overcome.
Orange League was 4 challenges where they just went around doing sports n shit that ended in Ash battling an 'undefeatable' trainer and winning.
Alola is a regional tournament where people qualified by surviving a 151-person battle royale and win by making it to, and winning, the finals.
yeah alola was hard, that metapod fight was brutal.
...who was rooted out in the Battle Royale phase.
>even thought literally like 7 ep's later they bring Charizard in along with an entire flashback episode
if you are browsing Yea Forums as someone that isnt a millennial or gen z you are an actual loser wtf
longest time continuously? I spent three days nonstop playing the Hell level in Cave Story before I beat it
I wish we saw him win with the older art style
>Infernape
>Not Muk
imagine seriously believing that.
I hope the series gets better animation even the movies didn't blow me away that much this time with 20 being generally boring, 21 being visually great but kinda slow, and 22 being nonredeemable.
living a lethal war sounds like a win to me
>Help set up an indie pokemon league
>Ace the scrubs on literally the first day
Ash really moved the goalposts on this one
Fuck Ash. Even at 10 years old I thought he was a bitch faggot. I much rather have watched a winner like Gary Oak than faggot Ketchum.
>Be Gary Oak
>Drive a car
>Have hot women that follow me around
>Actually keep the badass Pokemon I catch instead of releasing them 10 fucking episodes later
>Win battles
>Fuck bitches
More people should try to be like Gary Oak, not Ash "At least I tried!" Ketchum.
>which I guess, in the end he did
Nebby was never caught and eventually released; and Poipole isn't a legendary
Maybe they'll make decent games now
>1 UB and Mememeltan
Dude is becoming a tobias
I'm about to make you my stepson.
Probably my usual time. I did the 3 heart challenge in OoT because I find the game too easy... still didn't die.
Shadow of Dragon Realm (v.2) formerly known as Realm of Madness, but I think there was debate over the name usage because another game had that name.
You can access the official page through TOR! Now featuring JPEGs!
>12 Kanto mons
>6 Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh mons each
>9 Unova mons
>5 Kalos mons
>Only four new additions to his team in Alola
Was SM nothing but filler or something? Holy shit.
What are the best fights in the anime? Ash-Greninja VS Mega Sceptile is up there.
Swellow was a great choice, dude. It's his most powerful bird pokemon and carried a lot of battles in Hoenn.
youtube.com

Sau what you will, but Sun / Moon had the best intros since the original
So Ash showed up in a region where they don't really do pokemon battles, especially not competitively for titles.
Then used his decades of battle experience to thrash everyone in that region.
And we're supposed to be pleased?
>comparing Goku losing 2 tournaments over the course of a few years to Ash losing 6 tournaments for over 20 years
>lost against Cynthia
You don't know that. He could've just never battled her.
"I know it's a bit early, but fuck it" is just an age old Yea Forums joke meant to seed to bed for massive amounts of shitposting when they lose
All Pokemon these days are ugly trash
Fuck Gary, he fell harder than Ash.
>Needed cheerleaders to boost his morale
>Got his ass whooped by Mewtwo
>Lost the bitches, decided to be his own man
>Got fucked up by Ash
>Morale tanked so hard he quit training and became a doctor or some shit
>Never seen again
That Gary Oak meme was stupid then and it's stupid now.
He became a Pokemon professor and a gym leader.
>Needed cheerleaders to boost his morale
I'm not sure what point you're trying to make here.
>Got his ass whooped by Mewtwo
So did Ash, little niglet got turned to stone
wasn't that mew?
Gary quivered in fear while Ash actually went and punched it, albeit to no effect. He didn't need eight airheads to give him a boost and Misty had some purpose until she got Togepi and became just as useless as those sluts.
They had a major plotline in the works including team rocket vs team plasma, but they had to scrap everything due to some earthquake or some shit.
After that they stopped giving a fuck.
>And we're supposed to be pleased?
Yes.
>He became a Pokemon professor and a gym leader.
No, he is a research assistant. He is a bitch to Professor Rowan and likely rides off nepotism.
He also never became gym leader in the Anime.
That picture is outdated. He got a Meltan that evolved into Melmetal.
with how much dick sucking Blue and Red is, why the fuck they didnt make Gary become Gym leader?
It really wouldn't have hurt anything. Honestly, they could have ended the anime with Ash being a Frontier Brain (which is considered E4-level in the anime) and Gary becoming the Viridian gym leader and it would have been pretty decent.
I like rowlet even more than its evos but thats still pretty bullshit. Especially because anime could of easily helped show the Ghost Typing Decidueye has at the forefront more like Pokken does where it uses the ghost typing to manipulate its arrows, have a purple ghostly aura, and even briefly enter incorporeal states.
I dont think he used it. He brought back his sceptile for the league
Gliscor is avalible?
>try for years and fail
>get better and win
you are a fucking retard
Ash is not allowed to have Ghost and Dark mon anymore
If he has a dark mon, the only dark moves allowed to use are bite or crunch
not sure if it took the longest but beating furi on furier S rank achievement. It took only about 10 hours but it felt so rewarding
He didn't win by getting better.
He won by facing the easiest tournament ever. He never even caught a full party this season. Even in kanto he understood that 6 > 5. The guy he beat in the finals only owned 4 pokemon. Some people in the top 16 only owned 1.
ur mom is a qt user
>He never even caught a full party this season.
Poipole was caught and part of his party. It's not far-fetched to imagine he can get it for Kukui and he had no reason to get a 6th mon due to the league only going up to 3v3 in the first place.
>But he released it!
Same argument can be made for XY Ash releasing Goodra.
>The guy he beat in the finals only owned 4 pokemon.
A Legendary, his ace and his father's pokemon (which he inherited after his dad disappeared). His Umbreon was also treated as a big deal.
Realistically speaking, he has about as much of a hype factor as Tobias, considering Tobias claimed fucking GIBLE could sweep the rest of his team. Also, Cameron only had five pokemon in the league and still thrashed Ash.
>Some people in the top 16 only owned 1.
That's blatantly impossible considering the league goes up to 3v3, even when Ash and Gladion both had at least 4 pokemon.
We don't know enough about Guzma, Kiawe has three pokemon, Lana has at least two pokemon and can easily use Lapras, Sophocles has numerous options for a third pokemon including Metang, Hau has at least two pokemon, Jessie and James have three pokemon combined and can probably use Bewear and Meowth, Lillie can easily have 3 pokemon for the league from her family, Acerola has at least three, Mallow has at least two, Samson has at least three, Ilima has at least three, Faba has at least two.
The only trainer with one pokemon available to them is Mina, who we know jackshit about and only saw in the 1v1 round. Everyone else has at least 2, has methods of getting a third easily and they are all in a tournament that requires three pokemon.
Also, most gym leaders only have or use 2-5 pokemon so it's not like competitive trainers are much better.
Actually, thinking about it further...most Elite 4 members only have 5 pokemon when you first fight them. So trainers in a conference (In a region that didn't have a competitive circuit beforehand) having 3 pokemon for battle is actually pretty decent.
He is literally a 30 year old boomer.
A grandpa.
Old and dead.
At the end of the road.
Imagine actually needing to write up entire essays to try and prove an open entry tournament full of school kids and a bunch of nobodies who have barely ever battled before is totally just as legit as any other league tournament in the show.
I'm sorry that you can't read. If you could you would realise the response was to a post that had blatantly false information, and that the reply was debunking said statements by listing every character in the Top 16 and how many pokemon they have.
Seriously, do you read the Bible passages regarding familial lineages?
Actually, you just completely made up several of those answers by saying multiple people could "probably" get more pokemon from whatever other sources. Maybe you should be able to read your own posts before lecturing me about my own reading skills.
That's due to those characters having pokemon that they ride around the region on but haven't battled with.
>Ash is not allowed to have Ghost and Dark mon anymore
Nigger he had a Greninja just last season.
Evolve all the pokemons in the sinnoh team and then its perfect
Actually, looking at the post properly the only instance of 'probably' is regarding Jessie and James having 'probably' up to five pokemon available to them. So I'm not even sure what the fuck you are talking about now.
Almost 9 hours

He can have Dark mon but he's not allowed to use dark moves except of Bite and Crunch
I didn't forget about Unov* and Greninja has fucking Cut
If you want to be hyper-anal about the definition of words then you can't say I'm wrong when I say Lillie only OWNS 1 pokemon then say "but she can EASILY HAVE more by borrowing them from her family or using riding ones." You're the one who's blatantly wrong there. She only OWNS 1.
But whatever, I've checked out of this autistic argument. Stretch the definition of "own" all you want, it doesn't change the fact that this was blatantly the easiest league tournament in the series, which was the main point of my post. Go ahead and respond one more time now so you can feel good about yourself for getting the last word.
Dude, you are so fucking retarded.
>Some people in the top 16 only owned 1.
SOME, PEOPLE are both words that refer to PLURAL. The only characters this can apply to are Lillie and Mina. Mina only ever participated in 1v1 instances and is a character we barely know, so we can't claim she has only one pokemon lest you were to claim any trainer in other league conferences had less than 6 pokemon due to only having fought in the lower phases of the tournament, which required that they only used 2 or 3 pokemon.
In other words, your claim only applies to one character in the entire tournament, which is WRONG considering she has an Altaria that she rides on. Not to mention her mother owns a company dedicated to hosting and protecting entire pokemon habitats.
>Megazard X
>type disadvantage
should all 30 year olds be banned from tournaments and be euthanized?
They are ugly and their lives are already as good as over anyways.
They tried to make him look more like the S/M protag than just stealing his clothes.
Released it
why?
It needed to leave to continue fighting plant monsters elsewhere.
Cleaning up after Zygarde fucks up Kalos.
>because Ash winning somehow means he can no longer be a relatable character for the audience.
Don't Japanese writers have plenty of experience with handling characters (and audiences) like that?
Harem leads get at worst a "lucky bastard" thrown at their heads, and people still buy that shit.
Never got why they replaced cheren with trip
Well, why did they remove Kasumi and Takeshi?
Can someone explain if Alola league counts? I thought the SunMoon games established that it was a proof of concept to show the global community that a pokemon league could be had in the region. Does the anime take place after the games or does it not bother with the canon?
The league exists but it's more of a proof of concept that only just started. In the terms of the Anime this is the equivalent of Ash walking into a Pokemon training Academy and mopping the floor with a bunch of children.
That's because most people don't train as hard as Ash has. Anyone who trains hard can succeed, they have a shot. They lose, but they also win. Most people actually can relate to their training paying off.
What you're suggesting is the polar opposite of participation trophies: kick someone no matter how hard they try. Which is just as retarded
They basically had an open invitational and Ash was the only competitor with any formal battling experience so he wiped the floor with everyone
The penultimate boss of Bomberman for the PSP.
Buggler is a fucking asshole and must die. Still haven't defeated that dickhead.
So spic ash won? I thought the anime was past Jose-Ash
I always wandered if people would make a big deal about this. But the truth is the criticisms of the league aren't specific to the league but the entire series which hardly had Ash train or overcome battling obstacles and only gathered 5 pokemon (In favour of episodes focusing on other things I won't get into). So basically anyone watching the show knew that having Ash win this one would deliver the exact mediocre response it ended up receiving.
>Ash
who
But his top left team looks so fucking cool though.
Satoshi
At least the orange islands were a proper 6v6
The Alola battles weren't even good, outside of Guzman vs. Lana.
All of Ash's battles consisted of
>Gets his Ash kicked for 15 minutes
>Ash: lmao maybe I should actually do something
>Ashpull outta nowhere (eat Hypno's coin, Rowlet was actually sleeping lmao, Emergency Exit activating because Golisopod was terrified of Torracat, even though in the previous battle it nearly solo'd Pikachu, dude counter the counter!)
But at least Ash realized after 6 losses that to win a league, he has to rev the bullshit to Max Power.
IT'S USING THE THUNDER AS ARMOR!!!
Do we even know evolutions of the new starters?
Alan's charizard is secretly arceus, unbeatable
Can you imagine living your life without the experience of fucking a lopunny or a gardevoir?
Arceus got humiliated by a meteor and silver water in that bs movie.
Yet he still saves the day because he's fucking god and he's probably immortal
it's a good thing your mother picked your father instead
she could have ended up a single mother or something worse
she avoided paying the toll
>ash sitting in a normal school, having a normal life
That's so....bizarre....
