Unlock arts canceling on each Driver's affinity chart ASAP, learn to properly time auto-attack canceling, both of these + Blade Switch canceling will exponentially increase your Special meter build up, then make sure your team composition is able to pull complete Driver combos (Break-Topple-Launch-Smash, the more of those you can do on your own without relying on the AI the better. Early on in Uraya Rex's Anchor Shot will gain the ability to Topple), then pull as many Fusion Combo as possible (mixing up Driver and Blade combos), as those will multiply the damage dealt (this includes DoTs so Blade combos that cause DoTs like Earth -> Fire benefit greatly from it)

Actually, Nia was probably the best girl in that shitty cast of characters because she's the only one that had any character growth, however minuscule it was. Even then, she doesn't even match fucking Sharla, of all characters, in terms of character growth because her only moments of development are when she learns to "trust" her teammates and when she learns that she'll have to settle for the harem ending.
