Can anyone redpill me on the new HTC Vive Cosmos? So far everything i read about it sounds fucking awsome and it only costs 800€.

>integrated tracking system, no need to install any bullshit cameras or lasers
>wireless possible
>new improved controllers
>best resolution out of all headsets, 1440x1700
>hand and finger tracking
>integrated, new Operating system
>viveport gives you alot of vr games for a small amount of money per month

i didnt care about vr but this sounds promising

release october 3rd

Sounds to me like Vive Cosmos + Valve Knuckles is the way to go.

Kill yourself you disgusting tranny loving degenerate

>i didnt care about vr
Neither does everyone else

>hands behind you
>suddenly it stops working

Inside-out tracking is garbage. Buy a PSVR instead, it actually has games.

the basic external tracking cameras can be added if desired

Why in the hell would you ever put your hands behind you?

Some FPS games (such as pavlov) you can store a main weapon on your back.

>integrated tracking system
>inside out

You had me until inside out tracking.

You grab things out of your view in VR, thats one of the points of VR.

yeah it still works with the new oculus rift, so why wouldn't it with the cosmos?

how the fuck else would an integrated tracking system work?

the tracking system is integrated into the headset itself. He makes a baseless claim and says its not gonna work if you put your hands behind your back

Controllers are heavy as fuck

VR will stay dead until they find a way to fix VR sickness.
Also vive controllers are awful and cost way to much to replace, don't buy vive.

i got used to the "vr sickness" after 2 weeks.

What refresh rate retard

90hz
no idea if thats an improvement

I'll stick with the index then

wow it sounds so fucking exciting

This actually seems pretty good. However, I don't know about spending $700 just to coom. I can coom for free right now.

90hz is the same as every other headset. PSVR and Index are 120hz.

Why don’t they just add tracking cameras to the controllers for the situations where you are flailing your hands above and behind your head?

Isn't the index better aside from price?

I'm only interested in VR for porn, youtube and virtual tourism. VR games all look like tech demos made to sell people on the idea of VR gaming rather than proper games.

Just because you haven't heard or seen the latest VR games doesn't mean they don't exist. It's a niche world where you have to get informed about upcoming releases. Mainstream sources don't cover it, specially on Yea Forums.

Only if you can actually power it, else it's like buying a 144hz 4k monitor when you have a PC with a Pentium 4 processor
