Nioh is a diablo-like hack n' slash action rpg. I don't know about Nioh 2, but in Nioh you need to play through the game once to even unlock the difficulties and Divine and Ethereal loot. The difficulties introduce new enemies and placements, but generally you're supposed to kit out your character and make it retard-strong to a point where I can one shot anything and that involves grinding and doing nightmare missions.
