Fucking roof niggers

>playing tin can
>squash em like the dirty bugs they are

How do I kill the acid hunters with a ar tincan btw? I made myself a spihnoer leather armor for the acid resist but they kill me faster then with my steel armor, also what shield is good for acid attacks?

FUCKING ROOF NIGGERS

>Underrail AI

Attached: dogsblockingeachother.jpg (611x469, 96K)

honestly, seeing people walk into eachother and then try to walk past eachother in the same direction a few times before finally managing to get past eachother is more realistic than unrealistic.

Have you never actually seen how dogs act in real life?

doggies kissing

flare
taser
aimed shot
what now, bug?

>walking around core city going to the lift
>bump into a commoner once, twice, trice,
>we both stop, rethink our lives, then move on
Its pretty wholesome I gotta agree

stealth and wait 2 turns until you're stunned

Haha yeah I cracked this tough nut with 2 HE mines and some bear traps. I hope that guy wasn't important. I killed like 8 dudes with one grenade, bad ass.

Attached: kurin3.jpg (1282x722, 211K)

Does Expertise work with every shot of Burst?

yes

low shields are better; get x2 low amplified
get some mutated dog leather armor with mutated dog leather tabi boots
use morphine right before you talk to them
drink root soda beforehand
put down some traps and retreat into the ladder room

you can do it

I don't see why it wouldn't
just not on crits

It's the only thing that makes Expertise worth it.

Oh god I hate when this crap happens. Spend the rest of the day thinking about it while the other person probably forgot about it a few seconds later.

Thanks for the tips, totally forgot root soda exist, I just hope I get enough initive from it to retreat before they blob stuck me on the spot.
Btw I cant check right now but do mob drops scale globaly, for example If I go to Depot A to get some mutated dog skin is it gonna be shit quality or actually usefull?

You've just gotta survive that first turn, user. Use mutated dog leather gear for acid resist, apply morphine, aegis and a focus stim before the conversation, eat some food. If you can manage to survive the first turn you can heal and then slaughter them before they do too much more damage.

max quality is 64 for mutated dog, and they never scale; you can get it right away

infuse that shit while you're at it, if you've got the money

Just wikied that infuse leather formula is at foundry, should I go check that place out before I venture deeper into the core city questlines, Im already a good bit into the arena so I though that my gear and level is good enough but the acid fucks made me rethink my life choices.

How repayable is the game with the expansion? I didn't get it because I wasn't sure I'd like the game, and now I'm already at level 17. Should I finish the game, or just get the expansion now?

Use metaknowledge bre

you should have known where they were

I found a forum post saying i should only focus on two categories of psi abilities at once. Was I wrong to do that? I made a thought control/psychokinesis build for a first playthrough and I don't seem to have a good way of dealing with robots, or rather singular boss level robots like the naga guardians

Expansion adds nothing to an already started game so finish the game and replay it if you want with the expansion.

APEX HARDCORE

-items sold are worth 10% their regular price, merchants refuse basic weapons/armor, quest rewards 25% of normal
-carrying capacity reduced by 50%
-all skill checks increased by 20%
-crit power doesnt exist
-LoC only breaks stun/etc
-can't drop items from your inventory for free (can still drop equipped weapons for free)
-grenade cooldowns +1 turn
-w2c does 90% damage
-high efficiency energy converters nerfed to regenerating x% of energy lost to damage, at y% per round
-toxic gas simply deals bio damage each round/if moved through; no damage multiplication
-using psi abilities from 1 school will increase the action point cost of psi abilities from other schools
-many psi abilities must hit vs evasion now (or reduced by it), use psi skill at 70% for THC
-forcefield functions as an energy shield against ranged attacks, has a certain amount of hp against melee attacks before failing (dependent on skill)
-all npc's have 30% greater detection & trap detection (bosses have 50% greater)
-bear traps dont function if they deal no damage, stronger enemies have shorter durations, and spotted traps use your traps skill vs their dodge
-some enemies will have black dragon throwing knives/crossbow bolts, and such traps can also be found
-randomized traps/locations
-randomized enemy placement
-npc's that spot traps or corpses will turn orange, holler, and search the map (and pull alarms, if any)
-if spotted, all hostile npc's on that map will never turn back to green; yellow minimum
-npc's will not enter dangerous terrain (such as gas, fire, or traps) unless they have a clear path to you
-most hostile npc's, if they can't attack you on their current turn, will instead head for cover or distance
-if you are seen entering stealth in a controlled or partially controlled map, npc's will turn hostile
-gladiators past master exploder have improved builds with more feats, especially carnifex

>-w2c does 90% damage
It should be like this in the base game

I need to play this game, any starting tips?

You get that for not playing as a hammer wizard

Use grenades, traps and special ammo often, don't horde them for later.

Animals can't open doors, use that to kill the rathounds early on.

Don't try to specialize, pick a build and stick with it.

How is a 2H sledgehammer + heavy armor build? Heaviest armor and weapons is my go to in games, how does it fare in this one? Would I be better off with assault rifles? Are miniguns an option?

Never pick flank during the black eel quest

In terms of mutually exclusive content for multiple playthroughs, Expedition has two main factions for you to join, though most of the exploration and the levels themselves stay the same regardless of which side you happen to pick. Aegis nets you better main quest direction, a bigger cast of NPCs to interact with and more lore but you have to keep the expedition alive by dealing with constant native invasions, whereas siding with pirates gives you zero handholding for exploration but they have a different quest line that takes place in Underrail waterways rather than the main Black Sea area.

>I found a forum post saying i should only focus on two categories of psi abilities at once.
That's retarded and I hate the pipeworker who posted it. I guess it could be reasonable advice for a hybrid build where you've got a lot of skills to manage.

What would that be? Psychokinesis and time?

That's a Black Crawler, not a death stalker. Death stalkers don't have the horns.

I agree.

Metal armour
Hammer
Pure psychokinesis
And boosting your strenght past 10

it's stolen directly from the wiki

pretty good, but they suffer in the expansion
you could also use assault rifles if you took the versatility feat

miniguns are not an option, except for part of one quest of one exclusive faction

Fuck sea wyverns

NERF FUCKING PSI
>Lunatics electric boogaloo

>2H
What?
>sledgehammer + heavy armor build?
Fairly common, as either a regular hammerer or a psi hammerer, also very often used with metal armour
>how does it fare in this one?
Just beat Dominating with this, it's pretty good
>Would I be better off with assault rifles?
Dunno, use ARs if you like them, they are also okay
>Are miniguns an option?
There's no such thing as a Minigun in Underrail

What would the other stats look like? Dump everything but Str/Con/Will, or does Will even matter? Enough Agility for sprint?

psi wouldn't be so bad if there was literally any method of defence for it beyond straight tanking it

meesa is wrong, it is a death stalker

Both have horns and look the same, but the Death Stalker has orange along the tail whereas the Black Crawler has black and brown.

I am half tempted to make another psi build once I finish my current playthrough. Is temporal good? I'm also conflicted on whether I should drop thought control or psychokinesis in favor of the two other schools I haven't tried.

>walk into restaurant
>sell cooked food to the restaurant
>walk back out
yep that's some realistic bartering there lads

It's arguably semi-realistic, supply and demand and all that, they need food so they buy some

>Is temporal good?
it's literally so broken that every meta build has it just by default

sure, and I'd understand if they bought uncooked food
but what kinda restaurant owner, in a place where not 100 meters away you can buy super lethal poison, just buys and sells steaks from complete strangers

ffs Yea Forums thinks it is spam
Whatever I will do it the hard way

10 Strenght
3 Dexterity
6 Agility
10 Constitution
3 Perception
5 Will
3 Intelligence
Bump to Will to 7 with the subsecuent level ups, dump the rest on Strenght, pump it non stop

Sprint and Conditioning are the best starting feat, take the psi pill
Get Corporeal Projection and Force User
Heavy weight, Juggernauth, Thick Skull, Critical Power

>but what kinda restaurant owner, in a place where not 100 meters away you can buy super lethal poison, just buys and sells steaks from complete strangers
the south underrail kind
the hungry kind
the "people are starving and resort to eating all sorts of shit, including each other" kind
the "quit being a quaker and eat the freakin' steak" kind

Thanks for the effort, I’ll use this.

wherever ghost is, running a hammer wizard tin can but splashing metathermics until exo aura and an obviously suboptimal mercantile instead of persuasion.
for people who shit on MT later on the game, holy shit does it make junkyard much simpler, even on 7 Will. that alone is making a speedy nimble hammer wizard more likeable and the ease of picking up exo aura mentor means it all comes together at 12 without a feat spent in MT. not being able to throw is constant suffering though

Just post a cute anime girl with it next time, the server loves those.

Attached: 1551015224094.jpg (1280x720, 118K)

If fucking bothers me how inconsistent it is, sometimes you can post the build link, sometimes you cant

TM is so good that it's useful to literally every single build in the game, because you get extra AP+MP and global cooldown reduction. It doesn't require anything but the minimal skill investments for casting requirements and no stat investments whatsoever, meaning you can use all the utility stuff with 3 WIL and 70 TM skill. There's only one direct damage spell that's supposedly stupidly strong if you pick Continuum Ripple feat and pump TM higher than 70, but I haven't really played around with it as the rest of school is purely support skills.

Clarification: I was Using a Tungsten tank build, not a Nimble can.
But I do agree, if you manage to stay at low AP through feats and TM, then metathermics become really good for the sole reason of Exothermic aura.

But keep in mind the playstyles of a Tungsten tin can and a TiChrome/SS tin can are REALLY different

The horticultural center is legitimately unfun.

Yeah, I don't get it either. Sometimes I wonder if it's tuned to be more or less sensitive if spam gets really bad, but who knows.

>There's no such thing as a Minigun in Underrail

what if we turn Underrail into a TPS?

Attached: header.jpg (460x215, 43K)

there's one attached to Dreadnoughts
it's honestly kind of annoying to fire given how underrail combat works

You and me both, user. I was extremely disappointed when I found out there was nothing heavier than an assault rifle, even a unique weapon would've been enough.

Attached: FUSEEEEEEEEE.gif (500x269, 1021K)

I should have allocated one extra point into agility and left STR at 5, at the cost of perception or CON, but this is my Fist of the South Underrail and it's worked plenty fine. 120+ Psychokinesis, 75 Thot control, 75 Temporal Manipulation. 160 melee.

Attached: KesumiKUR.jpg (962x703, 301K)

Get the 5mm assault rifle with two extra shots per burst plus full auto and Expertise. Load it with shock rounds; it's basically like firing charons, if the "minigun" feel you're going for is "I like spending egregious amounts of money when I fire my gun" and not "I've appropriated a helicopter mounted machine and turned it into an on-foot weapon".
or just load a Tommy Gun with explosive .44. there's your mini-money-gun

Fuck deathstalkers man, fuck em to hell

still worth it imo tho

FUCK OFF!
We turn it into a third person turns based game, like valkyria chronicles

Throw caltrops at your feet

>mfw just got commando feat

Attached: 1546133763262.jpg (645x369, 77K)

desu its not that unrealistic. And dogs are stupid so they don't know. Does Dominating difficulty fix stuff like this?

Render fish into mad drugs to shoot up with.

Pretty much every water tile that's on the same or similar level as the nearby land and isn't obviously impeded can be fished from. You can even fish from most of the partially-submerged rock paths.

As far as ponds themselves, I'm reasonably sure that if you can physically set the rod up, 99% of ponds have something to catch, even ones that are isolated.

Assault rifles or SMG?
If rifles, wait until you get Critical Power and craft a custom Chimaera to maximally abuse the free burst

should i add electroshock to my dagger
i'm afraid of running out of electrical repair kits since electronic recyclables are often too expensive to scrap

Do I really need to pay this nigger 2000 Charons to fix this gayass drill? I've barely managed 1.4k after exhausting all the vendors with my hoard of unregistered guns and armor acquired via murder.

I picked crossbows as my weapon class.
How big of a mistake have I made?

or you could be a super skilled mechanic

You can always repair it yourself with high enouch mechanics skills

>click enemy

I'm at 52. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that's not nearly enough.

>Nimble can without psi is even MORE feat hungry than hammer wizard
Man
I'm fucking hating this

In my experience, Crossbows are only good against the player character.

85 effective mechanic skills

FUCK CROSSBOWNIGGERS
>walk around corner
>Shocked! Stunned!
>some other pipeworker comes along
>crippling strike!
>crippling strike!

Crossbows are okay so it's not really a mistake at all. They're mostly centered around control so they're a fun weapon to play if you like setting up a strategy before the fight, especially if you're pairing them with traps. They have a ton of feats though and incur additional mech resist/thresh so I can see them being overwhelming if this is your first time around.
They're almost 100% silent so you'll never have to worry about everyone in the area making a beeline for you.

Attached: 1555502677035.png (645x1110, 437K)

Becoming a tin can usually solves these problems

from where the navicom tells you the nexus is, go south, then go down the stairs underground, along the way there should be a staircase

>*They're also 100% silent

Don't you have to resist both the mechanical and electric damage to avoid the shock bolt stun?

Yes but that's why shields and Thick Skull exists

A?

Even so, you'll still get hit by the stun and cripple until about halfway through the game, when you have both huge mech resist and a good low/low shield, and every single crosbownigger opens with a fucking shock bolt. Unless you have Thick Skull I guess, but >10 Con just for that
I hate them! I hate them so goddamn much.

Attached: 1548777248326.jpg (936x807, 81K)

That's why you're a Tin Can, user.
You must endure, you persevere.

Usually you wont get crippled once you're past 60 mechanical DT, without the use of a shield

but muh hornet. I guess I'll just try whatever good quality parts I find. I assume highest caliber is best because videogames. do my fellow burstbros do barrel compensator + muzzle brake?

maximum pain, but I must endure.

oops I'm retarded

Where?

Attached: Screenshot_4.png (1370x806, 1.24M)

You can't have two barrel attachments at once. Whatever adds crit chance (vs crit damage; personally, I like smoothing my damage range more predictably vs peaking higher) and whatever attachment fires more rounds

Cripplingfags can be solved by psychokinesis or frag grenades to your feet

Yeah, I know. I'm just bitching because I like playing with Thought Control and taking the 10 Con for Thick Skull feels like a waste when I'm gonna take Locus of Control anyway.

>cheating with psi or grenades

Oh, my bad I got it mixed up with the horticulture center
See that cave system to the east? Go through it.
Hope you brought a LOT of antidotes if you have low Agi

Is shield spear fag a fun build to try?

Sometimes it feels great and sometimes it feels fucking awful to play. I really wish Styg would just give riot shields some defense against ranged. Nothing that can get multiple feat investment should be that niche.

user stop being fucking retarded
It's called being resourceful

Would you like to have 3 permanent stacks of Crippled, tanking your strenght by 6?
Because if you want to hammer that dodgy knifecunt in that state you will have rock solid 10% chance to hit, if not overcumbered
I know, Flashbang or Taser, but why would you do that when you can throw a 'fuck you' Frag grenade MK V at your feet, or just Proxy punch the faggot to oblivion?

yeah, i'm bummed shields offer zero defence against range, if it's strong enough to stop crawler stings it oughta be strong enough to stop dinky-ass crossbow bolts.

You can't put two barrel attachments on the same weapon, but I see you've already figured that out. Higher calibre gives you more damage, but it also makes the weapon take more AP to fire, gives you less bullets per magazine and the bullets themselves cost more. You'll want a Rapid 8.6mm Hornet (ie with a Rapid Reloader attachment) or a 7.2mm Hornet as your main weapon because with 10 and 11 AP cost respectively they can be fired twice per turn with Adrenaline Shot.

Chimaeras are great because they have a large critical damage bonus, which can be further increased with an Anatomically Aware Scope and the Critical Power feat. Normally they take a tonne of AP to burst-fire, but Commando gives you a free burst no matter how much AP it would cost - and it doesn't have to be with the same weapon. So you can keep a Hornet in your main hand, burst once to trigger Commando, then switch to your Chimaera for a free Burst.

As far as attachments, I prefer a Rapid Hornet with a muzzle brake as my main rifle and an Anatomically Aware scoped Chimaera with a muzzle brake as my secondary. You might find you prefer the precision bonus of a barrel compensator.

>get Bolt Quiver
>it's objectively shittier than literally every other belt
even with the cheapest AP crossbow, this belt doesn't get you to 3 shots per turn. what in the world is the point if you're still bound to Adrenaline to get 3 shots off?

Is there a gear that increases agility by 2? i can get to 8 with supersoldier drug.

Cave hopper leather armour and boots.

I think there are some boots that boost by 1 and there might be food that does likewise

thanks senpai

How do you even play the game without utility options?

No worries, user! Have fun.

I should say, there's no harm in experimenting, so go out and play how you find most fun.

ar tin can
otherwise you'd just get fucked

chem pistol
main weapons ARE utility options

Dodge/Evasion seems good against it
Literally haven't been hit by a crippling strike once

is there any place where I can check the to-hit chances of npcs?

>Tin can
>Dodge

But... muh wasted skillpoints...

my point is that it's probably there just to fuck tin cans
and if you hate them so much then go dodge/evasion

"W-Why put points into dodge and evasion when you can have 90% DR, h-heh"

Attached: Screenshot (17).png (335x76, 4K)

>even with the cheapest AP crossbow, this belt doesn't get you to 3 shots per turn
pneumatic reloader, lol
you can get 4 shots off a turn if you use adrenaline, a bolt quiver, and a pneumatic cyclon
5 on the first round of combat if you have special tactics

>Tin can
>Dodge
Do you even know how Tin can works?
How Armour penalty works?

do you not understand that I'm suggesting it as an alternative to dodge?
you absolute mong?

Those crossbowniggers... I'll kill them one day. I'll kill all those fucking crossbowniggers.

He's just saying that if I hate them so much, why don't I choose a different build/playstyle that lets me deal with them more easily.

*alternative to tincan
before you misunderstand me even further

yeah that
you can deal with crossbows, the key is just to either never get hit or have a low enough frequency shield you block their shot

>Changing your whole gameplan due a single type of enemies
>Not aknowledging your build weaknesses and properly build a contingency plan to cover these flaws

Defend this garbage.
It has been millennia now that video games exist and they still use the completely outdated, mundane and nonsensical system of dealing out arbitrary point at the start of the game before you even know how everything works.
The only "RPG" that does it right with character creation is NEO scavenger.

Attached: underrail.jpg (639x361, 41K)

its true, skill based systems are shit. ideally a game would have dozens of tested and balanced classes to pick from.
in this way, when one becomes stuck in the game the question becomes an immersive "how do i solve this problem?' and not a metagaming "did i make a bad build?"

unfortunately people often believe going in the exact opposite direction of what they want is the way to get there, and when it doesn't work they must only go even further.
In this case they believe some abstract 'freedom of choice' is making the game more role playing and immersive. But there is no such thing as choice, or freedom. They are forced to optimize, min/max, and consider the mechanics of the game, and will have to 'freely choose' the only sensible option available to them. Thus the illusion of choice becomes a constraint all the while believing they are free.

Are the spritesheets available somewhere?
I have to to make some animations for a mod and having a reference for the movements of the limbs would greatly help me, since I have to make them in my spare time, which is quite limited (I'm a wagecuck).
Thanks.

What a fucking idiot.

Attached: fuck-milton.jpg (1998x1167, 311K)

What? They never exceed 24-25 mec/bio damage. Hitting those thresholds in bio is easy, just get a torso piece with DT and you're impervious to locusts. They also have no health so even mk1 nades will shred groups when they spawn in a ring around a hive, or you can firebomb it if you want to pre-emptively torch them on spawn. A single piece of heartbreaker armor practically makes you locust proof without weighing you down too much if you have tailoring -you can find one in the native's leather sacks or get it off a dead serpent yourself- but otherwise the aegis helmet + decent-ish armor also work.

light bomb work well too
just make bomb

I dont have good bomb
cant make bomb
But I good hammer
I stronk
Crossbowman dodges
But cant dodge with flashbang
I throw flashbang
I swing hammer
crossbowman dead
I happy

I'm rocking chem trooper armor and aegis helmet and they're not hitting me for any bio but still get me for 5-20 mechanical per hit. That combined with the parasitic debuff just fucks my shit up. I've got one molotov left and three pesticide grenades

Any place I can find a energy shield early on?

So swap the torso for something that blocks mec, if you don't get damaged the debuff can't get applied. Who cares if you're slow when they can't damage you?

Define early on

Before bringing the drill parts to Tanner.

That's weird, I also used the same armor setup and rarely if ever I got parasitized, still, for a build with little to no crowd control and no serious nade setup it's going to be hell.

Before Depot A

Enter the under passages
Keep going east through Stalker territory, take stairs up
Go south, you will be near a Lunatic encampment, dont aggro them
Once you gona south, you will find a zone with a burrower hive on the southwest corner of the area, and 2 Lurkers hiding in the shadows on the southeast
In that same area, there are 2 rooms, open the first room, you will find a shield emitter in a locker, functional and assembled

WARNING: Although this worked for me 4 times in a row, other players have said that didnt found anything there, sometimes something different, or a shield emitter base

i know the place you're thinking of and i've never found a shield emitter there. good loot sometimes, but never a shield. probably random, but it's good to know it has a chance to spawn one.

Behold my Magnum Opus!
Seriously tho I needed 112 quality leather and 153 quality super steel for this and I'm not even sure if its better than the claw...

there's three ways ive found:
buy it (rare to find and expensive)
in the gang fight, one of the ally soldiers at the top can potentially drop a shield if they die
slaughter someone with a shield in abram's prison raid

I got one from the electronics shop in Junkyard before setting foot in Depot A. Bit of a rare spawn in her inventory and it got quickly replaced after handing in the drill parts since it was only about 200ish in capacity.

jesus christ your inventory is fucking triggering me
fix it
FIX IT

>slaughter someone with a shield in abram's prison raid
Yeah that's probably the surest way of getting one, kinda though to do without Neural Overclocking though.

So how do i get inside the subsphere at L2 in expedition?

>speeding up doesn't work when encumbered
Ahaha styg you cuck, you really are just seething over the al faggot guy aren't you?

It's not even better than your bare hands.

Why aren't you reading your blueprints, zoner?

You mean at Lemco? That elevator is beyond repair, you need to bring a certain Submarine to it

Killing magnar and his ghost stops native invasions correct?

Your fucking inventory is triggering me user

That tells me literally nothing, Sorry but i've tried entering the sub bays of every single facillity i've been at so far.

Yes, in theory it should
But you still have to murder all chieftains too

Gotta kill all of 'em just to be sure. It's super fun.

Did you found the submarine at the northeast corner of the map?
Did you asked the Ferryman to tow it for you?

Are they in the same zone as him or spread out across the map? I've already taken care of the main guy

No half measures
Wipe out every single one of the natives from their village in the north

No, Thanks for the hint, I'll go looking there.

Just got biohazard boots from a random crate on the surface of the Center now I have aegis + boots and my supersteel armor and now I don't take damage. All is well in the world.

What am I supposed to be looking for in the Nexus? So far I've found 2 phones, I got into the vault and took the stuff in there and I have searched all the floors but the journal still says I should search the place

Just turned in the circuit board to Tanner and the story moved on. Does this kill a lot of sidequests or do most of them stay open?

Also where in gods name can I find some sturdy vest components? Not the actual armor.

Name 1(one) thing wrong with it, this is what peak inventory management looks like. Seriously tho why does no one except ezra buy all these psionic headband parts that have such sexy weight to value ratio? Hoping when I get to the institute they'll sort me out.

both factions seem like jews, I'm guessing I have to choose one

the black eels faction merchant is right next to the boat fast travel point therefore they are better

black eels has a better questline

eels obviously.
how do i get sgs to help the eels? I always end up asking protectorate

thinking of starting with a magical shotgun hobo run. how much WILL/INT do I need to shave to make it viable?

Are knifes sneky and grenades a good build?
Im level 9 so far and it's been pretty decent however I feel like i'm probably gonna get assraped by expansion mobs.

just play a knife already
it is the most orthodox of stealthy build, the proper way to experience the vision

why are the graphics so bad? why is it like a board game? I want to shoot the guys in first person. fuck this game for grandpas

Can someone explain to me how uncontrolled/controlled zones/aggro ai works?
I killed a guard in junkyard in the casino area which says it's uncontrolled.
Nobody saw me go in or out yet entire casino is against me what gives?

I prefer knife with traps personally
Grenades to blow mines when I need to

I find it good, but bear in mind throwing grenades is not a great way to be stealthy. you can sneak past locusts most of the time, so the only other really common thing is high DT robots, for which there isn't an easy answer for a knifebro

just stack emp mines and blow them up in a giant explosion if you really have to force it

Oh yeah i know it's not super stealthly, but some scenarios you're pretty much forced to fight multiple enemies e.g Burrowers.
I was thinking of investing a little bit into traps. is 25 enough or should I go more?

40 lets you use the niftiest traps

that's what it looks like when your build fails you

honestly 90% of trap usage is just putting a plain bear trap (or many) in a patrol path or doorway for the unavoidable 3 turn immobilise and 0 evasion/dodge, I don't know how much skill you need to do that. probably 0

Amerimutts. Sell me on .44 when I can squeeze out three shots with a 9mm pistol before rapidfire or quick reloader and not have to fumble with ammo with three extra rounds per mag.

.44 makes a nicer sound

>came here at level 4
>can't do shit to these things, have to sneak past
>complete quest, leave and come back with electrokinesis
>decimate them

Attached: 20190917164259_1.jpg (1366x768, 233K)

does the opportunist+suppressive fire combo still work or was it nerfed?

They stay open. You only lose a teensy bit of dialogue if you haven't done the Junkyard gang war quest yet since Gorsky leaves SGS after turning in the circuit board.

Only one quest concludes without you, but I think only if you haven't even accepted it yet.

It definitely works but it's not as good as I expected. I used it with SMGs which are low damage per shot. You'll still need +crit chance if you want to kill armored mobs.

Yeah Fetid mash, that's great, I didn't like any of my gear anyway.

Basically if you've invested a decent amount into grenades and traps you will never get stuck, you'll just need to save load and have a load of explosives on you at all times. The electricity knives can help a bit vs all the robots but yeah its pretty painful.

Go make molotovs

those energy edge emitter knives don't seem to do anything good

wait does it really destroy your stuff? I've been avoiding it cos some npc told me to

Pirate. Aegis is shit.

>3 per
8 per is pretty much the baseline for guns. With 3 per you'd probably have like a 15% chance to hit someone who had a flare strapped to their chest at point blank

Okay now this is just getting silly

Aegis for first playthrough.
Pirates for anarchshit playthrough.

where to pick up autoshotgun I havent seen one in fucking ever

Molly plus pesticide

the frames should show up at all the gun merchants, not rare

that's how shit works.

and which upgrade is better energy conservation or dissipation rate

Each type of attack has different impact speed and the number means the maximum amount the shield can deflect per hit for that speed. In theory you should change between shields. In reality you always want to craft Low-Low because even good quality low freq shields are very good at blocking high frequencies to the point of redundancy, unless you get critted by plasma shot or a sniper, neither of which happen very often. Shields are usually very bad at blocking low impact attacks, but in practice a low freq shield can block both high and low impact attacks.

Aegis if it's your first time. You have to deal with native assaults but you get more characters to speak with, more lore and better main quest progression. Pirates give you a quest line that has literally nothing to do with the main expansion area and give no direction whatsoever for exploring the Black Sea, the leader literally says "just explore facilities lol" and that's it, no interaction with the crew afterwards.

Gameplay wise pirates net you extra naval combat feats that you can't get anywhere else, one general use (two if you're also willing to waste a Veteran feat) and one that removes the unarmed / fist / knife penalty on jetskis.

What do the naval mines actually do? thought it would make it only 2 ships during raids but I couldn't see any difference when the natives ooga booga'd me

How to deal within robos as a knifefag??? Kamikaze bots shifting on me.

I uh found one in depot a is that uncommon?

They all got pump frames but I haven't checked foundry yet, only one I found was a super high quality

Grenades and getting your crit as high as you can. Reckless gives crit, there are crit chips (food sold in core city) and you should put all your points into DEX because you need 10 dex for the Ripper feat anyway.

You always want to use a High Efficiency Energy Converter since it increases shield's max HP. Another one of unbalanced features, there's literally never a reason to lower dissipation rate because enemy attacks will always drain your shield faster than a dragged out fight ever could. Circular Wave Amplifiers are also almost always a downgrade because they directly reduce shield's max HP.

>savescumming for good quality super steel
this is the real hell on earth right here
fuck my autism

I got to core city and I am getting butchered by gangsters and muggers. Should I restart or are they just too high level for me right now ?

electroshock knives
EMP nades
MAYBE expose weakness but that's up to you

muggers should be cake but gangsters can sometimes be difficult, especially the gangster leader with the hammer
why does restarting come to mind for you?

Dunno. I got wrecked pretty hard and it's my first playthrough. My shotgun needs like 5 shots to take down a mugger but his crossbow can instakill me

If you did all rail crossing and foundry quests and still getting destroyed probably need to reroll. At least going by my char who was steamrolling even the faceless team in core city.

I've been having similar issues, but I've just been savescumming until my dirty kick succeeds.

the game kind of wants you to go to camp hathor or do the battery mission first I think. you could just scoop up a lot of oddities in core city but avoid the combat for now

Post your saves.

Attached: 20190917172007_1.jpg (1366x768, 163K)

get a new shotgun lad I thought the same ur shotgun probably does a lot less than one you can buy make now

I seem to run out of bullets really quickly, I bought the crafting recipe but not sure where to get the ingredients
should I just keep buying them?

go fuck around for a while and do some side quests, get some money, buy/craft better gear, try again. what level are you?

Gangsters and muggers are way weaker than the gangs you have to fight to walk core city, so I assume you took the train there. If you're fresh from junkyard, then you need to upgrade your gear. You can make MUCH better stuff after you get the drill parts.

can gorky's punch kill you

Did the battery quest but left Camp Hathor for later because those Burrowers were pretty mean to me.

I crafted that one. 37-111 dmg. Is it that bad ?

Just arrived at Core City. Though I was supposed to go there right away.

Yeah. Took the train.

It prevents pirate invasions

>GMS Compound
So is this the first major difficulty spike or what? These robots are so fucking tough, fuck the Storage room dude

if you've got even a halfdecent shield emitter, burrowers are ezpz. i'd recommend going back there, the reward for that particular quest is a pretty damn good weapon of your choice.

try getting an energy shield or big metal armour if you want to trash some burrowers easily

Thanks for the advice. I wanna level up to craft a shield. Got a lot of components from the junkjard.

You'll need need to make an energy shield to fight burrowers. Once you can avoid their poison, you should be able to sweep them as a shotgunner pretty easily.
Their poison barb attack is classified as low speed.

got dominated by carnifex as tin can, did i fug up :DDD

you can buy a shotgun that usually averages from 70-120, having 38 as a low feels fucking bad, or craft another one, also what shells you using?

speaking of the battery quest can electronic skill help or is it just for dialogue

Yeah just abuse corners breh

Yeah, that's another thing. I got 6p to 20p shells. I am using the 6p ones on armored targets and the 20p on unarmored. Am I missing something else ?

Literally how?, a decent metal armor cucks the shit out of carnifex

You can NEVER post build links, Yea Forums thinks underrail dot info dot tm is spam.

Maybe they fix the spam filter if we spam feedback
Yea Forums.org/feedback

I am also doing my first playthrough but im having a lot less trouble, shells help some, but if you got the right feats fill a hallway full of people with pellets should solve most problems, for muggers I just kneecap and slowdown, and either stick close if crossbow so they gotta move, or hide and make them come to you and rinse and repeat

Maybe my build is just shit. Got no energy shield yet and I am kinda stumbling through the whole map.

i gotta go with tungsten right?

what about if it's on shitter mode only

How important is hacking and lockpicking when you go for just one? Would it be bad if you didn't try to take both?
Also tell me some good skills. Versatile is making early game actually viable which is nice, but are there any good crossbow skills? Crossbows are my main weapon type.

I didn't want to read a full guide on builds. That kinds ruins the fun for me.

I understand why Low Low should be useful in theory, but it never worked out for me in practice. Even when I had luck with components, even when I back it up with really good DT it felt like I was always behind the curve against crossbow faggots. What good is that 80 Low going to do if he shoots me for 120+ in mechanical alone with his shock bolt? If even 1 damage goes through I'm fucked. It feels better for me when I know that crossbow will fuck me, but i can concentrate my efforts on them because not even that Aimed Shot from the sniper is going to penetrate for much if at all.

This isn't a matter of reading a guide, how do you pick a MELEE feat for a shotgun build and think it's ok?

Both hacking and lockpicking are nice to have, but that's mostly it. Not having them just makes you have to fight more and a bit of lore is locked behind high hacking.

I want to add because I have a similar build with less fuck ups, you have a ton of agility and are wearing agilty and dodge/evasion boosting shit, but you barely leveled either of the 2?

Armor has two damage reduction numbers and it uses whichever number results in more damage resisted. F.ex.
>Your armor says 20% / 5
Say you get hit by one 100 DMG attack. The armor uses the percentage based reduction because 100 reduced by 20% results in more damage reduction than 100 damage reduced by a flat 5.
You get hit by five seperate 4 DMG attacks. The armor uses that flat amount because 4 reduced by flat 5 results in more damage reduction (in this case it lowers the damage of each attack to zero) than 4 reduced by 20%.
There's also some special gear that increase damage threshold and resistance against specific attacks. Ballistics vests for example increase DT against bullets by 200%, meaning you get thrice the defense against bullet-based attacks.

For energy shields see

At some point I thought about investing in melee but I went with pure shotty instead. Didn't want to reroll and Depot A wasn't that bad.
I didn't want to spread my points too much.

DUMB

A-at least I am having fun so far...

spreading your points between all the crafting and speech shit should be a lesser priority and is spreading too thin, primarily when part of your build seems to based on agility you'd think maybe level the thing related to it

just get both
>Versatile
don't do this
>good crossbow feats
the crossbow feats on the wiki look more situational than I was expecting, but if they're anything like all the other weapons in the game, you probably cannot go wrong with aimed shot, critical power and a +critical damage weapon variety. whether you want to fuck about with poison bolts or elemental bolts or whatever I guess would determine how good a lot of the crossbow feats are.

is this build I'm following any good?

Attached: 1542609843085.png (950x952, 79K)

I got this disassemble feat.
Was this a mistake?

yes

He'll probably be fine one feat won't make or break his game, I took spec ops on an ar chem pistol build, and I took psi, with 4 con

Utterly worthless feat, reload a save if you can

crawlers aren that bad but death stalkers are complete unjustified bullshit

Attached: well ballanced enemy.png (315x539, 17K)

Can be handy

Get gud

desu I was expecting more stealth, detection, and armor

Literally the meta ar build

Real talk, is Tranquility of Psychosis more effective long term? It feels like the need to maintain full HP might be a hassle at times, and the ability to use more powers per turn isn't quite comparable to increased chance of those powers actually disposing of everything within said turn.

>tee hee you didnt see me sneaking trough the napalm?
>guess I'll sting you and fuck off again :^)

If you want to pick one of them then pick Hacking.

Hacking is used to access both electrically locked doors / boxes and some terminals that can make some parts easier and also unlocks additional lore in certain areas.
Lockpicking is solely used to access locked doors and boxes. And ventilation shafts, but if you have 8 STR (or a way to raise it there, f.ex. food gives +1 for 20 mins, Adrenaline shot gives +2 for several seconds, native cocaine gives whopping +4) you can use a crowbar to pry open ventilation shafts without any lockpicking skill.

HOL UP

I see a huge problem. Level 1 should be Opportunist/Suppressive. Aimed seems really nice early on but it's worthless for burst fire weapons which Assault Rifles are. Uh... I can't be bothered looking over any more than that but yeah change that level 1 feat. If you want to know why: suppressive causes EVERY shot of your burst to trigger opportunist. That means +15% on every bullet. Burst will be all you do so you want that synergy between the two feats. Two must have feats for AR would be concentrated fire and commando.

Roof niggers are too smart for that

Since I'm such a nice guy, here's some more pro tips: I'd advise 8 or 9 STR to start because 8-9 str is the requirement for metal armour.
>b-but now i'm slow
Yes so you'll want 6 AGI for Sprint which lets you run the fuck around even as a heavy dude.

Concentrated Fire is 8 per so you'll basically be putting all your free points into PER for hit rate and perks.

The question you need to ask yourself is
>do I get any enjoyment from winning every fight in the game by clicking thrice?

>Broadhead bolts are crafted individually
But why?

>needing sprint

Crossbows are overpowered, yet psi needs a buff

Knife/stealth/throwing is quite solid. Chemistry for big nades, carry 10 of your best and flashbangs at all times.

Not particularly, but I also don't enjoy playing tedious hit-and-run or generally wasting time like some builds do.

When will tin can negros learn what temporal manipulation is

thanks for the feedback
I've been playing with this for a while now so I won't be able to change what I picked level 1 but next playthrough maybe

dumb psifag

Protips for tin can builds?

SHARE FISHING SECRETS

Yikes.... Aimed Shot is only must have for weapons that work with Sharpshooter. It's not the end of the world, I guess.

Go to foundry early.

Enlightened hybrid here, I'll just enjoy my extra ar burst while peasants like you use outdated builds, and I have sprint

you're playing on easy mode. your playthrough doesn't count

reaching 21 con is a fucking miracle, also fuck psi on tank builds, that HP loss is lethal, might as well try to go for advanced psi and 40% less HP.

Could probably win on dominating, stay mad

You'll be copying my shit in a month pretending it was your idea

>win on dominating
but you'd still be playing easy because you have psi

Any way to change default avatar into custom avatar other than fucking around in cheat engine?

Psychosis means early game = PAIN, and you are a lot more cooldown dependant due to boosters. 20 fucking percent price increase for EVERYTHING. Damage is insane though. Tranquility is just fucking reliable though.

Anyhow, their specific effects are negligible or barely worth it for Psychosis and Tranquility respectably consider that Tranquility makes everything cheaper - including buffs. You don't really take either for themselves. You want either Psionic Mania or Meditation. Meditation is hella good. Mania is the literal reason why Psychosis full-psy builds are utterly broken from midgame on. I have more fun playing with Tranquility-Meditation desu.

ALSO WTF IS NOBODY GOING TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT ?

Attached: DOMINIRUYUSHCHIY.png (1912x1052, 1.7M)

got him

Attached: 1478731328030.jpg (800x600, 138K)

Hybrid build doesn't use psi for damage, stay mad at enlightened beings

>try to throw 2 tiles in front of me
>Grenade ends up 3 tiles behind

I know lmao 0 throw but how is that shit even possible?

Attached: 1568004791766.jpg (1024x911, 153K)

Psychosis if you're mainly using psi to deal damage rather than support. You get more than enough psi cost reduction items (mufflers, ballistic vest, native staff) and can use a Doctor's Pouch to make psi booster AP costs nearly free, while the permanent 15% increase to crit chance is massive. You also need Psychosis first to get the crit-on-demand feat.

Tranquility depends on you getting the first turn of combat, so either stealth or ridiculous initiative score to cast every buff and status effect you can because you're almost guaranteed to lose the effect after first turn unless you can run away or block off all enemies with Force Field, whereas Psychosis is guaranteed to be useful throughout combat.

u know when you throw the bowling ball backwards in wii sports
its like that

I don't know how someone could stomach a full playthrough of tin can ar without some psi to spice it up. It's a totally braindead playstyle.

Anyone who went through BCT or equivalent can confirm that it's unironically realistic.

What should I consider for a spear build ? I don't wanna pick psi

enough dex and throwing for spear throw
11 str at least for shield memes
expect to be incredibly feat intensive and to suck early game
save some int for crafting plasma spears and good riot gear, also cheap shots

Its actually pretty possible if you tried to throw something by moving your hand from down to air and forgeting to let the granade loose in time

Is this Shiv build okay?

Attached: 123123123123123.png (1366x768, 195K)

Go to where the wiki says.

7 str
6 or 7 agi
3 dex
3 con
10 per
3 will
7 int
yourwelcom

Nigga what do you even need PK for? Also
>TM for PTC
Just take Interloper qeq.

UTILITY BOT NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Here's what I'd do for a spear or hammer build:
10 CON to start and immediately get Thick Skull which will save your ass more than you know. First stat point into AGI for 6 AGI and Sprint. Rest of your points into STR so you can eventually wear heavy armour. STR is also your damage stat so you'll just be pumping it until the end. This is the thinking man's melee build which is why you may struggle early with no extra damage from stats.

I'm really not sure what I'm looking at with this build. Sprint as your final feat? Knives 100% need reckless at level 1 because you'll be doing sick damage with crits, so you want as much crit as you can get. Crippling Strike is something you should get ASAP because it can be used every turn and really screws up other melee and dudes carrying guns with STR requirement. I seriously don't know what's going on with this build lol.

Al fabet is a saint, 3000 charons is not a light sacrifice for bellow lvl 10 character quality gear.

>I like to compress all my organs when I get overweight
Sounds like someone's sexual fetish desu.

Is the 10 CON an absolute must or can you get by without it ?

10 con shouldn't be hard for a melee build to get considering you can dump both PER and INT.

Force fields in case shit goes wrong and guaranteed stuns with Electrokinesis and the imprint, all AP free thanks to Premeditation.
Why Interloper though? I should get enough movement points in combat with fancy footwork and sprint.

You could even dump DEX too but Throwing is too good and affected by DEX so you probably shouldn't. It's all fun and games stabbing and smashing people until there's a group of dudes. That's when you gotta blow them up with grenades.

Fun story: My Silas died during that quest too so I looted his key or whatever then tried to steal his shit at the docks. EVERY black eel went hostile for some reason and after a hellish fight where I had to hide in a room and throw grenades at an army waiting outside the room, I return to SGS to find they're hostile too so my playthrough was ruined. Good times.

Except for weaponsmith this is salvagable
With full auto and some points into stealth/evasion this could be a ok agi combat shotty build although no leading shot is gonna suck
My advice is start crafting nades, you've got decent chem and they're the great equaliser

Silas is a complete dumbass and needs your protection in order to survive the battle

autism incoming
bugs the shit out of me that siphoners can suck you off even if you block the initial succ attack or it deals zero damage

Yeah, nades are great. Especially molotovs

don't worry

how good is that temporal psy-stuff?
how viable is going with all four psy disciplines, and what other skills should i grab to go with them?

Is disarming traps a different skill, or what the fuck?

Attached: cool cat.jpg (2550x1698, 2.63M)

Disarming traps takes your skill and pits it against the enemy who set it, if theirs is higher you can't disarm it

>forcefield keeps ending when i end my turn rather than when i begin it
the fuck is this shit?

Enemies won initiative against yours.

Literally always carry a trap belt. Also, the jackknife is +7 to lockpick and traps.

What can give me 3 combat item slots

I feel like all I fucking do in this game is cheese shit with grenades and crap. The rathound king and his 3 billion HP pet got to enjoy magnesium bombs, caltrops, bear traps and frags.

Do other builds actually successfully fight this fucker head on?

Ahh. I see. I'm in the maze that I assume belongs to the rat king, and was hoping to stock up on traps. Thank you.
At least I know I'm close to being able to disarm them since I'm not getting critical failures.

Fuck, guys, apparently I was sub-optimal and now no Azif for me.

So it rerolls initiative in the middle of combat?

Psi wizards can do it EZ because they've got tons of options. Normalfags have only nades and piddly melee-range debuffs to work with.

They don't. Did you initiate combat first by pressing enter?

you know you can bring guys with you right

So how/when am I supposed to find the rathound king? Is the game expecting me to literally wander aimlessly through the caves?

I asked around Camp Hathor and the NPCs just caution me about him. No useful info as to his whereabouts.

TM is overpowered and pretty much every build benefits from having it regardless of stats because its best abilities are utility spells that don't scale with your effective skill level. With a feat (that doesn't have stat requirements either) you can get +20 AP for 3 turns without downsides and it stacks with other AP increasing effects.

Pure psi is overpowered as before, actually even more now since there's also a spear that decreases psi costs by 15%. It's not even one unique either, but a common drop from ooga booga spellcasters. Like before, you want crafting skills for a custom ballistic vest with psi beetle carapace and psi headband with mufflers.

What?

>premeditation + electrokinesis
heh, nuthin personnel, kiddo

You wander south from Hathor.

After you find the rathound king you can report back to Camp Hathor to get help from the hunters
I personally think its more fun to just gib him with his own traps

Where's your sense of wonder, user?
Just explore around camp Hator, the area is not big. Once you find a shitload of rathounds, you're on the right way.

post me some obscene crit damage modifiers, I wanna see how my new plasma pistol stacks up

Why the fuck does it feel my crafting skills are never enough? If I have enough mechanics I need more electronics. If I have electronics I need chemistry. It's not enough to have mechanics to put metal armour together I need tailoring to do anything with armour plates. YOu need biology to extract chemicals but chemistry to put them in weapons.
>molotovs require 10 tailoring just because you touch cloth
aaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

They're eating ALL my fucking skill points and I have nothing for evasion or weapon skills.

Post your INT score.

Ending up with goth Lighting.
You guys use custom avatars?

I'm level 25 right now and I'm sitting on a 835% on my laser gun.

Attached: 35k.jpg (1680x1050, 563K)

6, I'll up it next level

I'm way too autistic to do crafting so I keep it super simple
>minimum mech and chemistry to make bullets if i'm doing a gun build
>only tailoring for a melee build so i can make increasingly better tabi boots

Like you said, there's just not enough skill points so I try to do the minimum amount of crafting instead of
>oh next level i need 47 elec 52 tailor 65 mech etc etc
Shit would do my head in.

I literally just pick the Gorsky avatar every run because there's too much to think about outside of profile pic.

why are merchants so FUCKING POOR JESUS CHRIST BUY MY SHIT

Wait wait, is this one of those games where higher int gives you more skill points on level up? Because it doesn't say that on the CS.

If you don't have at least 10 INT forget about fast and east crafting.

On my first playthrough i just picked up the walking Jin-Roh reference

this is the good shit right here, god damn

lvl 19, 816% on my new plasma pew pew. still have 6 more specialization points to dump into crit power, which makes me moist.

is putting spec points into practical physicist retroactive? or do you have to craft a new gun every level? because that second option sounds dumb.

Is a pistol build with energy and chemical pistols viable or meme tier ?

Eat your steak slow, you entitled plebeian. If the game went faster, you wouldn't have nearly as much opportunity for walking and waiting.

is there anything you can do to improve your defence vs psi attacks if you have 3 will? my brain is being fucking melted and its not ok
i think you just have to prioritize what crafted items are important to you each level up. once you start hitting the skill caps you want for them it gets a lot easier.

That unironically looks more soulful than the original.

No, each skill is tied to a different main stat, the higher your stats are the bigger your effective skill level in a certain field is.
A character with 5 INT and 15 points in Electronics for instance will have an effective 16 skill level, whereas a character with 10 INT will have an effective 22, same goes for the rest of the skills, a character with high DEX will have higher effective pickpocketing/throwing than characters with low DEX and so on.

every attribute gives bonus points to the skills it governs, and int has the most.

How many people got sent to the gulag because of you and the Dude's shenanigans in the gray base?

it's fuggin' broken tier, especially if you splash time magic for extra shots.

Play as a hammer wizard

There's some pirate here named Razor who just DISSAPEARS IN COMBAT, not like he's going stealth, he just vanishes from existence. He appears, throws like 3 fucking grenades and then shoots me, then blinks out of reality.

Oh and this base is absolute garbage, sick of getting shot for 500 damage by some faggot sniper 70 tiles away while I'm parked behind a wall.

Attached: somefagliveshere.png (1668x939, 2.57M)

none, because I left none alive

>is putting spec points into practical physicist retroactive?
Of course not, none of the crafting feats are.

zero
nobody knew we were even there

Oh well I'm leveling up int next as I've decided to go towards psi. I spread out and put 1 point in to agi, dex, per, will and int to start with just so I'm not helpless without psi points and have enough initiative not to get dumped on unless I have the element of surprise. I'll be able to put my next attribute level in to int, assuming those suddenly don't drop off a cliff after level 7.

It's their own goddamn fault. We just wanted to lube it up.

I've made a few

Attached: knighttodd_l.png (100x100, 17K)

fucking whyyyy
guess i'll just find three new sets of 5 different level 155+ quality items every fucking level then

Where the fuck is depot A? Is there anyone in the junkyard who knows?

so just kill them all in one turn
ez

Attached: machetes are cool.png (917x457, 833K)

Aye.

Attached: Underniemann4_l.png (100x100, 19K)

I thought a psi beetle carapace was what you were supposed to use for Psi defense but it turns out there is LITERALLY NO WAY NOT EVEN A HEADBAND. You have no idea how much this pisses me the fuck off.

yes, everybody knows
have you even asked a single person

Don't tell me you're specializing practical physicist.

Talk to the merchant at the docks. He'll tell you about the Old Junkyard. You'll have to do two pretty easy jobs for Silas and then you'll have access. I hope you enjoy running from a ghost that looks just like you and wants to kick your shit in.

you can put the carapace in a tactical vest

Noob here. r8 my build so far.
Level 6, Junkyward
4 ST, 9 DEX, 6 AGI, 4 CON, 6 PER, 4 WILL, 8 INT
30 Throwing, 40 Crossbows, 10 melee, 15 Evasion, 40 Stealth, 40 lockpicking, 35 Traps, 40 mechanics, 20 Chemistry and Electronics, 30 Mercantile. Aimed Shot, Sprint, Versatility, Concussive Shots, Ambush

Can I kill it?

>9 dex when using crossbows when PER is what you want for hit chance and sharpshooter

Attached: 1552464671679.png (127x188, 51K)

what the fuck are you doing

it doesn't do anything to defend you from PSI abilities

there is NO defense for it that you can just put on, I don't think there's any drugs either..

I made the added hair a little tinner so the ear stays visible. I think ill finish with this but i still want to try adding some more changes in the hairstyle
>max will and persuassion
>max agi, dodge and evassion
>can sell fallout 4 to you
>quick reflexes help him dodge responsiblity

Attached: Underrail Screenshot 2019.09.18 - 01.27.06.80.png (1024x768, 1.03M)

Only with psyker bullshit. Otherwise, staying in the light prevents him from spawning.

nigger it's a fucking GHOST

what do i need to easily beat depot a?

i'm not, that was sarcasm. i was considering it but given the lack of retroactiveness, it's a total waste. i was hoping i wouldn't have to do something so boring as max out all 10 points in crit power with almost nothing else, but there isn't really anything else that seems as good.

Man, how about 14 ap for crossbow shot?

bear traps and sufficient knowledge of the map is enough and of course your weapons of choice but really you don't even need them with enough bear traps

Attached: file.png (174x115, 21K)

depends on your build

jhp ammo
frag grenades or molotovs
traps/caltrops
lots of stealth
solid padding mutated dog leather + tabis

molotovs and a functioning brain

you can trivialize nearly all of it with 75 lockpicking
you can skip most of it with 55 lockpicking and a key from some area
regardless, you just need a decent build in order to clear it. making leather armor out of the mutated dogs will help a lot against acid attacks
good luck, jack

>dude just use consumables
lmao

A pure energy gun build doesn't have much to specialize in, I personally have a shotty as secondary weapon in my current run so I put the other five points left in Sixth Shell for instance.

Depends on what you mean. There's is no way to boost your resolve other than having high will, but you can resist psi in other ways. Elemental damage can be resisted with the appropriate resist gear, bullhead can make you immune to stuns, infused leather can make you immune to chill, pyrokinesis counts as an explosion and is thus reduced by blast cloth, et cetera.

yes.
that is the fucking point.
that is how the game works.
use your fucking consumables, that's what they're there for.

I too hoard consumables to never use

seems like you're missing the second requirement

What point are you even trying to make?

>Go through Horticulture center
>Wonder why I'm overburdened
>Open inventory
>Find 90 stacks of honey
>mfw

Attached: BUwk.gif (300x225, 2M)

Honey is 0.05 a pop, so it's actually LIGHTER than if you process it into gyromitrin, which is 0.35 a pop.

I think he means the glowing honey edible and not spores. That shit's 0.35 a pop.

>Honey is 0.05 a pop
Spores maybe, the honey lumps you can eat are a lot heavier, I legit had around 20KG of honey or something like fucking Winnie the Pooh.

I'm thinking about doing a stealthy melee build. Is it a meme?

>operation Gas the Drones, Faction War Now
>don't particularly feel like warcriming it up today, decide to test myself and eradicate them all the old-fashioned way
>it's honestly not that hard, minus the slight pang of wasted effort when I realize I've also killed the one chick I rescued for abram's quest
>go back to CAD boss
>still insists I gotta use the mutagen, don't even get into a proper conversation
this entire CAD bit seems like a real ham-handed way to make the protectorate seem bad. up until this mission literally the only complaints people had were "muh freedoms" and these were coming from drug-addled highway looters and murderers.

let me stamp them out the "humane" way with a concentrated plasma blast to the face, and we get the PR boost of not mutating people. everyone wins.

Why do you even pick that up, it's shit.

Done with my custom avatar.

Attached: 23.png (210x102, 25K)

2 free PER on top of other buffs is absolutely nothing to laugh at, and you also get to FUCKING GLOW IN THE DARK NIGGA

>this entire CAD bit seems like a real ham-handed way to make the protectorate seem bad.
Or maybe you're desperately trying to convince yourself that the Protectorate is good.

I just did the first mission with the power stations. How did they get this so right? Great game

She definitely knows her way around pipes.

The original already leaves little to imagination.

do you enjoy boosting enemy accuracy

She needs more Sun.
Speaking of which, why isn't everyone pale as fuck after 150 years innaground with no UV light?

Why would I care about that when I'm sitting behind a 2200 capacity shield and can fry them before they're able to do anything?
Props to them if they do manage to kill me, I'm still glowing all day long outside of the Fetid Marsh, fuck the Fetid Marsh.

Attached: 1551647631320.jpg (613x640, 106K)

so you acknowledge that its not 2 free per then

up until the CAD squad shows up there's literally nothing wrong with them besides some nebulous bullshit about "wooo but maybe their leader has too much power and it's not as much of a democracy as they claim to be!"

which given the sorry fucking robmurderrapecannibalism state the rest of the underrail is in, is hardly even a legitimate grievance. and then the chem boys show up and suddenly they're all about war crimes and being fascist cunts, despite cathcart and everyone at epione labs being the proper military ideal of bring order to a lawless land.

it's just like, the writer didn't know how to properly balance them and the free drones so he introduced the war crimes gang at the last minute, and won't let you NOT commit war crimes so that it still holds up.

i don't mean to be a sperg about it, it's just a little jarring considering a lot of other missions usually give you plenty of leeway with how you decide to complete them.

Are you alright bre?

0 throw is perfectly legit, just always keep the miss range in mind.

Attached: throwing.png (1463x583, 955K)

>there's literally nothing wrong with them besides some nebulous bullshit
What nebulous bullshit? The entire South Underrail detests the cans and their war crimes are common knowledge to anyone that isn't a clueless zoner
>inb4 if I don't see it on screen it didn't happen
the CAU segment is precisely what makes the scale tip by giving you first hand knowledge on their atrocities, just because they seemed "nice guys" until then even though you choose to ignore literally everyone telling you to watch your ass when a tin can is around doesn't mean the writing is suddenly bad because you realize the guys you thought were so cool aren't actually cool at all.

Fact is there's a lot wrong with the Protectorate and no amount of shameless apologies and literal gaslighting will change that.

Psi crab is better than Psi beetle, right?

they're crabs at any rate

Nah, too damn heavy,

crabs are just water beetles

mmmmmmmmmm not really buying it but then again i haven't done the free drones questline yet so maybe there's stuff i'm missing.

just feels like an NCR/Legion kind of deal where on one hand you've got reskinned fucking Mongol hordes and on the other you've got "muh big gubmint is bad and sometimes incompetent"

>up until this mission literally the only complaints people had were "muh freedoms"
There's also the quest where you have to kill renegades or convince them to get court-martialed. They're long-time Protectorate soldiers who became disillusioned with the establishment after too many cases of "woops, I guess those were civilians lol".

Attached: 1560647671690.png (872x660, 202K)

Because the skin will retain its color if the body gets enough Vitamin D from sources other than light. Fishes, for example, are rich in it, and that's a huge part of Underrail's diet.

the plural of fish is fish

>there are people that make their own juice

alright let me put it a different way: i'm butthurt there's no way for the player character to improve the situation. you can't pick a better option, you can't take the high road. protectorate seems like the perfect faction for one of those "change them from the inside" plot lines, but instead you just gonna gas those drones.

i mean, if you were going for some kind of "no, everything's fucked forever" plotline that's fine, but the player is clearly a pretty major driving force behind a ton of events shaping the whole underrail. why can't you do a little simple thing to change shit for the better? isn't that the whole point of joining factions?

>why can't you do a little simple thing to change shit for the better?
Because you're not in North Underrail and the Protectorate is literally an invading force, how can you change something from within when you're just dealing with a part of an army far away from its HQ?

I'm pretty sure fishes is correct in this context.

>Dockmaster Silas has died

your confidence is misplaced

the same way the game has you deal with literally every other faction: do quests for them until they respect/promote you to a position of influence.
