AIN'T NO REST FOR THE WICKED
AIN'T NO REST FOR THE WICKED
MONEY DON'T GROW ON TREES
I fucking hate that song. Annoying as shit
Crossplay when
WE GOT BILLS TO PAY
I wish BL1 had BL2's level variety
this song is so BADASS
Borderlands 1 is the only good and fun Borderlands game.
Radio "punk" for people scared of swear words and abrasiveness.
The intro was great simply because of Cage The Elephant
it all went downhill from there though.
dude
The Heavy is seriously underrated
SHES SIXTEEEEEEEEN
>BL1 has the best atmosphere and setting
>easily the most boring and restrained of the three
>environments consists of brown rocks, beige desert or junkyard
>fun areas are few and far between
I wish someone other than Queerbox remakes Borderlands.
I meant the game user.
The intro to the first was the highlight of the series, And it only progressively got worse and worse until we ended with the snoozefest that is Boredomlands 3
based, it's shit
BL2 had a better intro song.
This. Hell even some of the Tales episodes had better intros than 3
neon colours and "quirky" dialogue make the sequels better?
I may be mis-remembering but I prefered one's overall mood of the vault hunters being greedy sociopaths. They did good but mostly out of the idea of greed being good. In 2 they were good guys trying to save the people of pandora while in 1 they were assholes who wanted to take everyone's stuff.
Not him, but Jack was one of the best written and well voiced characters I’ve ever seen. He definitely made the game a lot better than it would’ve been. Bright colors aside. 1 was abysmal, 2 was solid, Pre/3 are memefests. Doesn’t take away from the gameplay though.
Are you ready to forgive him Yea Forums?
Every Tales episode had top tier music but 4 and 5 were the best

Jack did nothing wrong, if Moxxi and the other incels just let him do his thing it would’ve been fine
>Using his daughter for personal gain
>Inability to feel sympathy for others
>Egomaniac narcassistic self centered pencil pusher abusing his authority
>Did nothing wrong
He was fine before the Meriff decided to be a casualty, but yea did nothing wrong
>not loving both
though yeah it does surprise me how little love The Heavy get outside of their borderlands songs
Oh stop it with this meme. He was abusing his daughters powers to see into everything on Pandora far before that. He always planned to rule with an iron fist. The Meriff was just his first kill. BL3 did clear up that at the very least, Angel was his real daughter and she did kill his wife. Which is probably the tipping point for most of his actions.
So couldn’t AI Jack have made a backup of himself on the wreckage of Helios?
t. Only level 14 on 3
Canonically Rhys destroyed and chance of that happening. Jack is as far as we know in every sense of the word dead. The only fragments of him left in 3 is a devoted wannabe pyscho (Handsome Jackie), a few echo logs from when Angel was a child, and posters, trinkets, and a gun (handsome jackhammer).
I cant forgive all those lame jokes.
Some of them were pretty good desu
>tfw when Jack calls you pretending to be Roland literally minutes after killing him
more like ain't no rest for the cucked
anthony burch
haha
>less all go out fo meelkshakes
Hahahahahahabababab OMG
Honestly without Dameon Clarke that performance wouldn't be remotely as memorable
the handsome jackhammer speaks
Yeah no shit. It's why I brought it up. It's actually a pretty good gun desu. I got one with fire yesterday
yeah, not only you hear Jack mocking you but the gun is fucking great
>tfw Jack says "I love you Angel"
youtu.be
is it Jack though?
Could you shove a cable into the gun and download him into a robot?
unknown, but probably just an easter egg
Just an Easter Egg I'm sure. Maybe someone in Hyperion made it and was a sympathizer for Jack. They had the tools to replicate his voice we know that much.
Real question is, who's in control of Hyperion now, and where is Timothy (handsome Jack's double)
AIN'T NO REST FOR THE TRIGGERED
Only good thing about BL3 is that one trailer with Seven Seas of Rhye
But money actually grows on trees, it's paper.
unironically cage against the elephant's worst song
Cage Against The Elephant?
Tales>2>1>3>TPS
Unironically 3>2>TPS>1
In terms of writing though
TPS>2>1>3
damn i miss tales from the borderlands
Do you like using made up words to seem genre savvy? Cage the Elephant has never described themselves as punk you brainlet.
I meant Tales as number 1 for writing. Tied with 2 desu
>Jack was one of the best written and well voiced characters
Well voiced, definitely. He was probably the most well-written character possible for a Borderlands game. If he took himself more seriously and didn't keep spouting "I'M THE GOOD GUY" shit despite torturing people to death, he'd be decent by game standards.
kek, cage the elephant*
rage against the machine on my brain
Rage is pretty based desu so I'll let it slide. Cages best album? Oh for me, it's Melophobia
its pure kino
fuck you
WE GOT MOUTHS TO FEED
it's overrated but all their soft new music sucks way more
AND THE JANNIES DO IT ALL FOR FREE
The problem was they forgot to write why he was like that so when they made a prequel years later they accidentally made him completely vindicated in his actions in 2
WE GOT BILLS TO PAY
WE GOT SNEEDS TO FEED
The only good song they ever made can't be their worst.
What made the guns feel so much better in 1 and why didn't they use the slightly better enemy scaling in 2 that 1 already had?
Cage made alot of good music. Happy Birthday and Melophobia are good albums
>Saying based
>2019
damn. It is never too late to grow up, kid.
Blake runs Hyperion and Tim is doing movies
Rage is only based for the music
Everything else is pro-anarchism as fuck
THERE AIN'T NOTHIN IN THIS WORLD FOR FREE
Wouldn't say vindicated, but pretty much.
If anything, it showed that the Vault Hunters and Co. were just as bad since they turned on him despite being an ally.
Its just one of the things that puts me off 3. The protagonists of Borderlands have never been "good guys" but playing as people who are just assholes ruins it for me.
Nobody on Pandora is a good guy. They're killers and thieves. As Jack said in 2 "everyone is the hero of there own story". I don't think the game ever tries to hail you as a good guy. This is also Borderlands. These are great games with good gameplay and tons of replayability. The last thing you should go into these games expecting is good humor or fantastic writing.
HE
Jack's gimmick was just General Knoxx from the first game's DLC
I think a lot of the reason why jack seems so good in BL2 is that everything else in the game is absolute garbage compared to him
The only thing I can't forgive him for is the fact his recruitment ad was just a death trap. I'd have worked for him.
This one was pretty great too
youtu.be
TAKE A RIDE ON THE BLACK DRAGON
I think you were suppose to hate jack in BL2, but they accidently wrote him as the funniest character, thus making him the most liked. Then they tried backtracking in later games
BL1 and 2 have strong intro videos, are there even better (I dare say "kino") usage of licensed songs in other games? And I don't mean licensed soundtracks, just individual songs used very well.
Skate 2 has a really good intro like that.
>They tried backtracking in later games
They most certainly did not. He's the same asshole he always was.
3 has a pretty damn good intro too. Possibly even kino
But I wish they had used this song
youtu.be
He's only funny because Dameon Clarke ad libbed half of hus dialogue. One of the writers was mad that he essentially thought up superior words on the fly.
Its nice when you can tell a VA was passionate about his role. The only other game I think of off the top of my head with as passionate of voice acting is RDR2
The VA for Dutch said he cried or something, didn't he?
9S's voice actor did some good anger acting in the final act of Nier: Automata
During the final scene with Arthur yes. They also shot the whole games story moments chronologically I believe so it makes sense after all those years of VA. That game has incredible writing and voice acting.
Pre-Sequel had the best intro song imo, it's fucking energetic
EXCEPT GAMES IN THE EPIC GAME STOOOORE
Say what you will about Rockstar but they have a pretty good record for Voice performance in their games.
>Claptrap hugging Athena
I think they actually set the bar for writing realistic human characters with fantastic voice performances from basically unheard of literal who's in the industry. People can shit on Rockstar all they want but for certain they set the bar pretty high for presentation and detail in video games.
>thought Roland would be the most boring class in 1
>turns out to be the best
Infinite ammo + shotgun buff is no joke.
Roland was based and redpilled. Definitely a top tier Vidya black man.
In BL1, maybe. In BL2 he was one of the worst characters
2 fucked up ALL of the characters from 1 except for brick and maybe marcus.
