playing jap games isn't going to beam fluency into your brain, it's going to be shit for a very long time. No matter how many kanji you think you know you're going to need to consult a dictionary for pretty much every line of dialogue. Games that take 10 hours can take 50; there is no way to become fluent with a language that doesn't involve pushing yourself through hundreds of hours of material to get there

Because there are many words and sentences that will only appear once or twice and you will not memorize those,the best thing would be to play a game whose story and dialogue is easy to understand and memorize aka not a jrpg.
