The difference here is that barely anybody used 3d on 3ds, and barely anyone uses handheld on switch, but the former got cut and the latter is going to be the only way to play.

It's a situation like the New 2DSXL where the price drop isn't enough to make up for the loss of features and build quality. If you already own a Switch there's absolutely no reason to get one, and even then you should still probably just get a regular Switch.

Apparently there are people who use handheld mode almost exclusively that want this, but I and most people I know who have the thing are just the opposite, they basically only ever use it in docked mode and it is for all intents and purposes a regular TV console.

Yeah, the original switch is big. I could hold it very comfortably, but a smaller size would be better. It being about halfway between an original switch and a vita makes it very comfortable. The lighter size is most important in comfort though. It's 30% lighter.

I use exclusively handheld mode. Also the resolution is almost always equal to or better in handheld mode than on a TV.

Viewing distance and screen size are a function of resolution quality. 720p on a 6.2in screen at 15in from your face is the same as 1080p on a 42in screen at 5.5 feet.

Yeah, no emulation features can suck but in my experience the gba emulators still suck. I use an emulator for nes and snes since those both have good ones fortunately but for gba injection is the way to go.

The 3DS doesn't emulate those games; it runs them natively. The DS and 3DS lines have two CPUs in them. The weaker of the two is the same CPS in a GBA. In DS/3DS mode it controls the touch screen, but in the original DS (and in the ambassador games) it just uses the CPU to natively run the games as it would in a GBA.

I will never need a PS1, PSP, Vita, DS, GBA or 3DS ever again.
Nor do I need those shitty chink emulators consoles
