I just got Soul Calibur 6 since its on sale and I always wanted to play one but never tried one before. Who's a good character to learn the game? I'm currently using pic related since she's fun. Been just playing offline story mode and shit to get used the game first. Wanted to learn Amy but its probably too soon for me. Also can't wait for season 2 whenever that is dropping.

Soul Calibur isn't hard to learn no matter who you pick so long as you stick to the very basics of their moveset at the start. Find a fast, safe horizontal attack and use it to stop people from stepping, get used to your go-to launchers (3B for most of the cast), a fast low to pester and poke with, etc. Then as you get used to the basic tools your character has, experiment with the rest of the moveset to try and fill in the holes that the basics don't cover.

Sophitia and mitsurugi are good for beginners in learning fundamentals. But cassandra has proven to be a really powerful rushdown character worth starting with.
