Nintendo's basically swept Miis under the rug on the Switch, and I doubt they're gonna make anything on the same level as Tomodachi or Miitopia. Pretty sure the only Switch games that make any remotely notable use of them are Smash and, to a lesser extent, Mario Maker 2.

Miitopia 2 that greatly expands the customization options. As for plot, you can just say that giving monsters faces in the first game ended up evolving them until they started forming evil kingdoms with that newfound knowledge/power.
