Have you guys never played Mass Effect or Dragon Age or any other game like that? That's all this is. In ME they call you "Shepard/Ryder", in DA they call you "Hawk/Inquisitor". In Cyberpunk they call you "V".
The games media seems to be dressing this up as some progressive move for gender neutral trannies but it's actually just laziness. By calling you "Name" they don't have to record two sets of lines and code where they're different.
