This was the game that convinced me that Yea Forums is full of zoomers who grew up on japshit and action games. 2010 Yea Forums was crying out for a game like KCD, 2018 Yea Forums called it "eurojank" and kept on playing animewaifu mods for Skyrim.

Every time I play this game it feels like something that would exist in 2030. A simulation of a time period put into a computer. Once you look past the bugs it's pretty fuckin good.

Were you not around when this game was released? It was a bunch of seething pc wojack mocking. The game isn't popular at all. Its initial release deterred everyone from buying the game and now it has a stigma. I've tried getting my friends to try it out (they have gamepass so it's "free") and they refuse saying "oh yeah that shitty game". It'll take a long time till people come back to it and realize "wow, I was wrong." You will see a bunch of youtube videos revisiting this game to spread the good word in 5 years.

It's the first single player game I've played in a long time that I didn't mind investing dozens of hours into. Just finished the main quest today actually, after doing most of the side quests. Sequel when? And which DLCs are worth getting?

Also I loved the combat but it definitely did get pretty tedious once you're fighting 3+ guys. I just read somewhere now though that you can switch targets with the mouse wheel easily and I didn't know about that shit 80 hours into the game.

The one where she explains what happened to her during the attack? I liked it a lot but jesus searching for shit in the mines and linen scraps/herbs was tedious and kinda ruined the flow of story. I picked it up last week, had it downloaded forever but didn't know how invested I was going to be in a game that seemed to want to grind you down (like MG Survive, The Long Dark) but the world is so genuine and engrossing I've been pouring hours into it. I feel genuinely bad most people don't give it the time of day because some mechanics aren't handed to them on a silver platter.

I liked it. It was buggy and I had to wait a bit for patches, but it had a certain charm to it.
