it wasn't funny then
it was the best scene in the entire franchise
it was the defining moment of every young kid's childhood where you finally understood how the world really works, what it means to have conviction and determination
it was glorious and unironically epic, then spergs hijacked the cutscene and put their own retarded spin on it with maymays and out of context portrait caps. It's easy to look in retrospect and make fun of everything this way, but Arthas was literally magnum opus piece of writing, especially for a real time strategy game at the time.

When you get to be a little older, and have seen more things and done more things, you will start to recognize tropes and bad acting in media, and the humor that entails such.

When you get to be a little older and have gotten more responsibility in your life, you will start to recognize that you find that scene funny because you can never see yourself in a position of leadership of any kind or to make decisions that turn people away from you. So to you this will always be a caricature that you'll label as "bad acting" to feel good about your own life.
