You wanna enslave motherfuckers? Maybe get enslaved and fed into a meat grinder if you don't cooperate?
Wanna max out the tit and ass slider on females? (gays not allowed)
You wanna adventure through an actually hostile wasteland that will most likely kill your ass and force you to start a new game and prepare better?
Or do ya wanna build an outpost to farm, mine, and craft various bullshit?
Doesn't matter. You can do all that shit in Kenshi, and still get your ass whipped. Then download mods to cheat, if you're a faggot. Otherwise just git gud and go from there.
the only mod i use is one to increase number of people i can have, its immensely fun having 100 naked people with pipes rushing the holy nation and getting slaughtered while my main army sits back and waits
Nicholas Clark
Man, why attack the Holy Nation? Sure they're full of shit, but the garbage they're preaching actually works. Safest place in the wasteland.
I put over 200 hours into a single character back in February through April then burnt out a bit. I'll get around to starting a new character soon here
Jason Morales
The cunts started screeching when the leader of my merry band had a prosthetic and Big All doesn't take kindly to people insulting him. After killing that group he hired people to join him, captured and enslaved every bandit he could find, armed them with pipes and set them loose on the holy nation's bases.
Juan Wood
I keep getting bored when I put too much time into one character and feel locked into a certain path, or an outpost that could be better, and start again. But it sucks ass starting again as an incompetent piece of shit everytime. I should just mod the game to give new characters 15 in all stats.
John Jones
Holy Nation gives you shit about prosthetics? That's some shit. I don't mind the anti-nonhuman stuff.
Kevin Ramirez
I havent played in months after I made a big town, pic related was it in progress. Has the game changed much since the beginning of the year?
yeah they do, it's especially insulting when Big all lost his arm saving 3 of his companions from certain death at the hands of rabid skeleton spiders.
John Scott
Zeig heil, little Billy.
Brandon Gutierrez
Great game, needs more devs
Mason Collins
Great game. But I exhausted all the major content of the game and don't really know what I would do even if I wanted to play it again.
Nicholas Ross
The not so wide varsity of skills makes me think I wouldn't enjoy this game that much. If i want to do crpg combat I'd play a game with a decent story like Pillars of Eternity
Levi Gomez
Its my favourite game actually. Id love to see a game just like this with a budget and team working on it, its so goddamn jank and can be so much more than what it is.
Id love to see a game like this but just set in a generic fantasy setting, with dragons and elves and shit, it really feels like an adventure.
Evan Powell
If youre allied with them they dont care about anything but skeletons. Everyone hates HN because they are shitty if you are anything but allied with them and almost everyone uses mixed race parties, if you are allied though, you will find that they heal you in the field and when you enter shops they greet you by name and actually give you free stuff.
Dylan Bell
The Holy Nation is superior to the rest, the best hope for a strong new world, even though their faith is bullshit.
Chase Howard
I stopped playing it because it became insanely tedious having to put 20 people to bed individually after each skirmish. You gotta be very big brained to managed a shitload of people even if it's a small fight or a town takeover and after 6 hours my focus dwindles down and I honestly can't be assed to do the same dumbass sequence over and over even if I chain it. It might sound casual but if there was an option for *proper automation of such things I would love to have it in the game, but then again I think maybe the flavor is in the management so it might ruin the experience, I honestly have no clue I'm not a game dev to make these decisions just sharing my thoughts.
Jordan Robinson
I recently just started RPing as different things. Like I did a run where I play with limitations becoming of the Holy Nation, which is low tech and humans only with specific gear set at hte border between HN and UC, and another was bugmen only nation that is enemies with every other major faction.
You can do whatever you want, its wroth just fucking around. Im trying to recruit enough cannibals in a save so I can do an import with like 30 of them and do a cannibal run, where instead of training units I just smack the shit out of other cannibals and recruit them and send them to snatch people, if they die I just recruit another one, the Cannibal Plains is swarming with the little shits.
Jaxson Allen
I experience the same thing, it becomes somewhat tedious with large groups. As for your particular complaint, however, people with significant injuries will go by themselves to beds, if you have their "jobs" enabled. They'll get back up at about 90 health for whatever limb put them to sleep.
Julian Perry
Get the "recruit prisoners" mod, it's very useful.
Kayden Torres
>not making the new temple of Okran where you follow Okrans will and not the Phoenix There are actually characters in game who remark that they follow Okran, and that the Phoenix is just a man twisting Okrans words. There is still hope.
Levi Baker
The thing that turned me away was that I played a nomad legion with a homebase, I geared up like 2 groups of 10 or whatever the max limit is without the addon and I got them to be endgame geared and skills, and I just couldn't handle setting up beds for the 1000000 time and then putting them to sleep individually, even with jobs they would sometimes not go to sleep you would have to place each individually, just way too many things to keep in mind, like if the guy holding the beds gets injured or have to remember where you placed the beds to who etc then you have to set them up. It's very tedious after hours on end. I'd love to play with a solo hobo but it feels like I will never amount to anything compared to just bruteforcing any fortress with a literal death army.
Jonathan Walker
user, if you shift and click you assign a person a job, if you shift and clock "rescue" you assign that person the job of automatically putting characters in beds, same with if you do this for "medic", the character will run around healing everyone automatically, you can have one character carry all medical supplies and level medic and act as team doctor.
I am actually amazed that you were doing this shit manually, what a complete waste of time.
While I'm curious about what they'll do with Kenshi 2, I'm more looking forward to the engine improvements that are coming with it.
Brandon Sullivan
I want to like the game but I feel like I can do anything I want but there's no point in doing anything. I guess I just lack the required animation.
Adam Martin
See this. You are suppose to assign jobs to characters, you can make a completely autonomous base where everyone picks up after themselves. >someone is knocked out >character assigned to rescue will pick them up and put them in a bed >assigned medic will go and heal them, and can be the same character even Rememeber to assign jobs, I cant imagine how tedious the game would be without doing that, holy shit. If you assign the job of mining for example, the character will automatically use resources till its full and dump the resources manually, or you can assign the job of emptying the resource when its full to someone else by assigning their job to the storage box, so the worker never has to stop working.
Camden Roberts
Ye, i love it, just my type of game. Solid 7/10 for me, it's a bit janky but it works. Completed it on vanilla, playing with some minor mods now, few mine. I just chill near Mongrel doing supply runs from HN to it. Wish there was a mod that'd make cities like in starsector have their own supplies so I wouldn't have to rp pretend past the few more cats for selling food in Mongrel.
Jackson Robinson
The rescue job doesn't work all the time, I'm not new to the game it literally glitches out the character in place and he doesn't do anything, they also prioritize fighting over rescueing every time
Nolan Sanders
You have to set goals for your characters. There's no overarching story but what you create. So when you make a guy, or a group, have a goal in mind or it'll get sale quick. Kenshi is a sandbox.
Elijah Diaz
New engine sounds neat, especially since its going to upgrade Kenshi 1 as well. What Im curious about is that its set BEFORE the apocalypse, how the fuck is that going to work, is there going to be proper cities and stuff? Its set when skeletons were the ruling class too, so were going to see more variants of skeletons? Are we even going to see the races we know? Are there going to be new races that were wiped out in this time? Will modding be a bit more flexable?
Justin Gray
Have the rescuers/medics set to passive so their priority is saving people, not fighting, you dont want your medics fighting because if they get knocked out whos doing the healing on them. Also job order matters, if you want something as priority put it at the top.
Nolan Bell
I've done all of this. In a perfect world medic rescues and drags your boys to beds. In my game, within any fighting aoe range the medic goes ballistic like the rest, passive or not. There could be a sequence issue of course but this would happen even if I removed all jobs besides medic, with other jobs or not they would either stand in one place being bipolar about healing or not, or they would defend themselves because the enemy doesn't care stance your medic is in
Camden Anderson
you didn't disabled ranged from the list did you.
Mason Adams
Press ctrl+shift+f11, it might fix it (resets path finding nodes). I think the pathfinding might be fucked, this is something I have experienced a few times in the 500~ hours Ive played but it never persists, they might stand there for a second and think about what to do then actually do it, they never just flat out ignore their job. Are other jobs working like assigning miners?
Jack Smith
Passive means you character wont even defend themsleves, it completely disables you character combat AI, if you have it turned on they shouldnt be fighting at all even if enemies are hitting them, they just stand and take it in passive mode. Sounds like something is wrong.
Nicholas Gutierrez
Oh shit, I completely forgot about this game. I remember years ago when it was getting crowdfunded it looked dope, how far has it come since then? What’s it like to play?
Joshua Collins
Its definately a love it or hate it game.. You either get it or its the worst thing ever. Big barrier for entry is that its just so fucking jank,
Thomas Williams
Well I guess I'm reinstalling to find out. I think it might be pathfinding because I don't always placed the beds in the most flat places. Other jobs would have same issues like stand in one place for 10-20 secs or go ballistic if they get into fight even with passive. The thing that bothered me the most wasn't that medics wouldn't carry people, that's an issue but it's not as big as wanting to have each unit more than 60-70% hp of their maximum health not the one that you can heal, and having to individually send them to sleep to get the max hp or close to it.
Nolan Jenkins
Is it possible the create a civilization of androids and enslave the humans?
Andrew Kelly
I did. What's new now? It's kinda boring because the factions don't move against each other like Mount and Blade does.
Luke Collins
>when you enter shops they greet you by name and actually give you free stuff. Yay, a free bible for the thirtieth time. Thank you, m'lord.
Carter Hernandez
There is an option in one of the menus for "sleep when injured" where a character will just go to bed if they are too hurt even when not unconscious. In the same menu there is also "sit when idle" which lets character just go and find a seat in your base when they arent doing anything, if you have seats of course.
Joseph Richardson
Ive gotten food, medical supplies and a weapon. Were you perhaps playing as a woman of dark complexion fellow Okranite?
Jonathan Murphy
Well I didn't have a bible on me and I always give them to the guys in my outposts to make sure they can attend prayer day so...
The problem is that I drag people away from a fight to go sleep, so they heal while the fighting goes on, saving time. There's very little time where anyone on my team would idle, as a nomad conqueror squad when they werent sleeping they would always be either on the move or fighting non stop so idk if that ption would even be useful but I didnt even know that it existed.
