Why is merchandise apparel always so absolutely fucking shit?
It usually costs five times as much as a piece of clothing of the same type, while also being made of absurdly cheap materials that visibly scream "This isn't real clothing, I bought this shit in a Halloween costume store".
Anime/game apparel NEVER looks like clothing that just happens to be something that's also worn like a character, it's always some fuckugly thing that ANYONE can tell is a costume, even if they have never seen whatever piece of media it comes from.
