I missed some stuff from the Nitro GP since I was still getting good at the game and focusing on unlocking the base game Pit Stop items so I can't wait for them to rerun it. Think there will be three more new GPs until December and then they'll go into reruns from January to June 2020?

Yep pretty much. Im on PS4 and no matter the console anons play on like Switch or Xbox its a gamble to play online for coins and beyond. People who are the hosts will flatout screw you over if the connection doesnt.

The games fun and it has a great deal of unlockable content but all the unlockables are tied to game currency that can only be obtained at a barely decent rate on the weekends only online and to maximize the amount if currency you can get is to play a certain couple of tracks over and over using speed or accel characters.
Everyone loves unlockables but not when the only way to unlock em is by grinding hours a day every day, paying for small amounts of the virtual currency using real money, or by cheating and leaving the game to play itself 24/7 to make about 1000 an hour.
I don't blame the devs so much as I blame Activision, they're milking the fanbase until it kills the series again

I’ve already given my input. The YouTube channels that are voices of the community have also given input. Item balance, class balance, and engine swap are all popular subjects that have been brought up a lot. They’ve only touched up items a little bit and added the super engine temporarily. Even if they need time to think about how to tackle balance they haven’t said anything to us. Unless they’ve been actively ignoring us they should know what changes the community wants.
I hope the next GP has some spice in it. I also hope Ninas Night Ride track has the bus from her Twinsanity level as an obstacle if it has elements from that.

But let's stop complaining for a moment, what do you love about the game boys? Despite all of its flaws, I think it's a well deserved and great remake. To me it's clear the guys at Beenox played the original CTR and had a love for it, because aside the retarded invisible walls, they've really brought every single level into the current gen and it feels just like how you remember the original.
I wasn't a fan of all the customising at first but now I love it and I'm glad they added it. It's a shame the only viable characters though are acceleration characters or speed, especially considering Crash and Cortex are low tier trash.

When everything's going my way and physics are working close to the original I'm having a lot of fun, but every other time, the game is suffering because online is not servicing the game's amazing mechanics. At all.
It makes the game MORE upsetting than if it were just a shitty CNK clone and none of the reserve mechanics. You have real CTR at times, and your memories are being tainted because you remember it being so much more fun.
I'm also realizing more and more each day that the effect on balancing that u-turning changes caused weren't tested at all.

The funny thing is, the idea for a in-game currency came from Crash Tag Team Racing but CTTR took the idea from "The Simpsons: Hit and Run". The wumpa coins are basically the same as the Buzz Cola coins, the two games were made by Radical Entertainment, in other words, it's a reused asset.
Now, why is this important? In Hit and Run there are some missions where in order to advance the story you had to buy some expensive cars or costumes, and you often had to grind coins by doing repetitive tasks. or by cheating Lead programmer, Cary Brisebois stated that it was a way of artificially extend game time, and it was made because back in the day game critics would stomp the game if it didn't last long enough, of course we now have the whole "Activision-is-greedy-and-wants forced-mtx" thing going on but the point here is that grinding coins in videogames will always suck.
Any time I feel like a shitter, I just remember that there are people who consistently leave lobbies because the track picked isn't easy enough for them.

Not even. I never reached the Motorsport Tawna reward when I got the game a week before the Nitro GP ended but I still got the Champion Kart and the GP themed decal on PS4. Getting to the top 5% basically only requires reaching Gold Tier, or just playing the game a few hours per week.

Avoiding the flames is easier when you realize you can normally drive around the flames without powersliding and still maintain your USF as long as you built up enough reserves beforehand.

You never know what the future holds. Maybe Activision will wise up and make the next game great without all the past fuckups.
I want to change how items work in CTR. The biggest problem is there are a lot of ways to go 60 to 0, but rarely enough ways to go 0 to 60. What I would do is not make items make you start over again from 0 but rather keep the bounce animation and keep whatever reserves you built up. If you have 10 wumpa make the person who got hit lose reserves by X amount, but after you used an item with 10 wumpa you start at 0 wumpa again so that way people don't drop nothing but red beakers. On clock per lap and it doesn't hit anyone behind the person who used it. If you hold on to a clock no one else can get one. Shields shouldn't be handed out to first place like they are. Give warp orbs to 2nd and 3rd. Thoughts?

I havent gotten a mask in first place since the item update patch. I dont think too many people get them as is.
I've gotten one warp orb in 2nd place but i'm not even sure if that was intentional because it never happened again. The damage is a lot more minimal when given to 2nd or 3rd.
