A boy falls in love with a girl.

I've played the game for 4 hours. Here's a mini review if you're curious. No spoilers.

Overall it's really good. The pacing, characters, music, story, ui, and general gameplay are all great. Biggest shocker is the pacing which is actually pretty good. Uchikoshi games tend to have terrible pacing especially at the beginning. I was dreading the beginning to be honest but the pacing feels lightning fast by Uchikoshi standards.

I have 2 main complaints. First, the animations for the fully animated cut scenes still aren't great. Not ZTD bad but you can tell it's a low budget game. Other than that it's actually a really stylish and good looking game. Second, there's a lot of things to examine in the background that don't actually have anything interesting to say. When they do have something it's great but why bother letting me examine something if there's nothing important or funny there? This wouldn't be a big deal except when you return to an area objects can have new descriptions and dialogue but the only way to find out is by examining everything again. It's all optional but it triggers my autism.

The game is pretty good so far. Hopefully it stays that way.

Not him but VLR was underwhelming to me because of already reading Ever 17 and Remember 11 before it. Reuses some of the same twists, and the narration wasn't as good as 999.

VLR is great but lose many points for having a cliffhenger ending that solves nothing. 999 also had a cliffhenger, but it is there mostly for flavor/sequel bait. The main adventure that game was about was pretty much done.
