you can use binds but most people play pad by resting it on their thigh and using your right index and middle finger to "piano" the face buttons and use their left hand to hold the left side and left thumb to use dpad. this way lets you press double inputs without having to use binds because you're using 2 fingers instead of a thumb. you can still bind things to L1 and L2 because you'll still be holding left side normally

Tekken is a straightforward fighting game, where SSB is that just as an afterthought. If you really want to invest into fighting games, you'll have a much better time in Tekken. In addition the game is really fun too once you start getting a hang of your character, which to get on a complete beginner level doesn't take very long even if the characters have an absurd amount of moves, don't let this stop you, it's a paper tiger.

I don't know much about Voldo, but Zafina is a character whose strongest quality is her great backdash and sidestep. Her stances are okay and you'll definitely scam wins from people who don't know the matchup but if you wanna gay people with stances you'll like Lei more.
