No replies. Huh, guess no one had a good reason and you are all faggots

I beat the entire game a couple years ago and see no need to replay it

Because Morrowind is the better rpg, and Skyrim is the better sex sim. Oblivion has no reason to exist anymore.

Did you do all the factions, dlc, side quests like The Collector etc?
What character did you play as? Why not try a different playstyle next

Attached: 1568315658978.jpg (1280x720, 108K)

Yes
Played as a fem dunmer who mained 1 handed and light armor

If nobody gives a reason, how do you know they aren't playing it?
because it's a shit game made by a group of corporate white boys instead of D&D players

They haven't given me my remastered switch port yet. I bought a Switch because I like comfy; why the fuck did you give us Skyrim?

>oblivion
jesus, I played this game like a week and then went back to morrowind

Attached: file.png (129x63, 8K)

My time is finite and I'd rather spend it on something enjoyable.

Sounds like a you problem.

Skyrim is better

>the guy with not enough braincells for a coherent sentence likes oblivion over morrowind

Waiting for Sky-blivion to never come out.

Attached: 1476139424413.jpg (250x250, 11K)

its annoying to mod

That sentence puzzled you? If so how can you enjoy a wiki reading sim like Morrowind?

Is it because the game had training wheels with "Always use best attack" unlike the later games?

brainlet

it just takes a while

how are you alive. modding is the easiest part of gaming. the hardest part is denying you actually like a game online

Because I don't have it modded and can't be bothered to download the 50-100 mods to make it fun.

>reading sim
are you actually retarded?

last time i modded it, it took me like 4 hours to download everything and set it up. Im just too lazy to do that again

I really wish ESo wasnt such modern souless trash

Attached: birthdaycringe.jpg (643x480, 44K)

It's fucking hideous and there are like 4 voice actors for thousands of NPCs. I just can't do it.

I played it the last year and it was boring. Skyrim is a bit better

there are already install packages with essential mods in, so you can do it in under an hour. the most important is to have extensions, patches and other install mods installed. what's so hard to go about it with a plan?

playing skyrim instead

It looks ugly, the controls feel unresponsive like you're just gliding around and swinging a styrofoam sword (an issue they have not solved in any of the 3d games), the animations are legit worst in the industry, the level scaling is stupid, the environment breaks lore and is generic as fuck with a horrible lack of scale and the only way to make it halfway playable and interesting is to spend ages modding it; a process that is slow and annoying especially as the game isn't exactly stable to begin with.

Oblivion was a shit game shilled to high heaven at launch, time and increasing standards have not been kind to it.

last time i did this was over 3 years ago and i installed each individually using oblivion mod manager which is not a super intuitive program out of the box, eventually i figured it out

because i cba to mod the leveling, looting, and quest systems so i can just have a static comfy world with interesting shit to do rather than fucked leveling, no loot or worthwhile exploration, and forced quests that prevent me from rping in an rpg

Attached: hercules-the-legendary-journeys.jpg (1440x750, 266K)

It aged like shit.

>there are already install packages with essential mods in
link?

>20yo graphics
no thanks

just google? are you people really that far away from reality?
nexus mod manager. LOOT. BOSS. all you need.

>no wyrebash
shit advice

It's a mmo. What did you expect? The system is a hamster wheel that makes sure you'r character is never too strong.

>still using wrye
loot and boss does everything you need for a normie user. stop being a faggot and move on.

But user Classic is a mmo and its dripping with soul

And Daggerfall is better than all three.
>pic related feels bad man
Todd is the worst thing to ever happen to the series and that includes Gamebryo

Attached: TES Chapter III Map.png (643x768, 909K)

Have you played Morrowind? It doesn't sound like you have.

Daggerfall is in the running for worst game (not just TES) ever made.
It is bad.

THIS

Nice job outing yourself faggot. You never played the game.

CP1100 here can confirm that the problem with the game is that you become TOO POWERFUL and the only challenging content are raids

I'm waiting for Skyblivion.

t. skyrim babby that can't into proper role playing in a role playing game

It's dogshit.

I want to play skyrim again but I have no idea what character or class to make, all I know is I want to do a dark elf since it's the only one I haven't done yet

should be pretty easy to figure out since it's all surface level bullshit

Everything Todd Howard makes is trash.

This
Julian LeFay and Ted Peterson were robbed of their own series because Todd convinced execs that linear single player games like Tomb Raider were the future of the series and almost bankrupted the fucking company.

>Julian LeFay and Ted Peterson were robbed of their own series
And they'll now claim it back
oncelostgames.com/

I got overzealous with modding without testing and now it's unstable and I don't want to try fixing it
Also I can't get the draw distance to stay put and it's driving me crazy

Because I'm playing enderal

I know I'm working on it

Who are you?

Proofs

I don't know nor care about todd howard lore, but what linear single player games are you talking about? afaik todd only worked on open world and/or multiplayer games.

Dialogue is time-stop menu based in both games and you don't spend any more time in it in Morrowind. If it's a reading sim then by the same account Oblivion is a... listening sim?

Redguard

Oh boy, can't wait for that crowdfunding project that succeeds based on promises that are slowly cut over a long and quiet development cycle with the game ultimately being a disappointment but having lots of soul

TES: Redguard you dumb nigger.

count on precisely that happening
t. Julianos

It's an incredibly flawed game
The bad points outweigh the good points

Attached: 1546755024573.jpg (125x124, 2K)

He's talking about Redguard, Todd's tomb raider clone TES spinoff. He forgets that Julian went and made Battlespire over a year before that which had the worst critical reception in the entire TES series, and yes that's even including Redguard.
Todd then went on to make Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim, each of which was an unprecedented success for Bethesda on their respective releases.

Attached: five questions.png (618x999, 841K)

That's one (1) game retards. Name two (2) or more.

>He forgets that Julian went and made Battlespire over a year before that which had the worst critical reception in the entire TES series

Source, I know it flopped but I find it hard to believe that white male PC gamers in the 90s preferred a game revolving around fastasy black people over battlespire.

because I already played it and its kind of boring. don't really care to jump back in. arena, daggerfall, morrowind, and skyrim are all more fun to replay desu

Attached: this ring is so fucking good especially for a thief why god did I ever think rolling a thief was a g (640x480, 62K)

Battlespire was pushed out early because of publisher turmoil

what is that? Arena? never played desu

The gameplay is boring, the graphics are shit and the world is awful.

Most of the reviews were in magazines that are hard to find scans on, if you dig around archive.org you might be able to find them again. As for the few that are still online, GameRankings has some albeit with a small sample size and broken links galore:
gamerankings.com/pc/196728-an-elder-scrolls-legend-battlespire/articles.html
gamerankings.com/pc/71565-the-elder-scrolls-adventures-redguard/articles.html

That matches up with what I remember mostly. Both scores actually look a little inflated. I remember Battlespire got a lot of 4/5/6 and Redguard got a lot of 6/7/8, with outliers in both directions for both games. Generally speaking Redguard was well received by adventure game communities and poorly received by RPG communities -- which included most of the existing TES fanbase at the time. Battlespire was just poorly received all around and really cemented Bethesda's already big reputation of releasing broken messes. If you've ever seen those old usenet posts of people complaining to Todd Howard about Bethesda's broken promises before Redguard released, Battlespire was the reason why. It's a shame because Battlespire's actually a pretty fun little dungeon crawler if you get through the early slog of the first two levels and it doesn't crash on you.
Keep in mind it was a different time before SJWs were everywhere (though there were a few out there), nobody really gave a shit what race characters were in vidya. I played and enjoyed both spinoffs mostly because I was a fan of the series but also because they've got some good shit in them if you're not expecting a huge traditional TES game.
