Naming the character is the most important part of the entire creation, it can take days to do all the things required to make a proper name. By the time a name has been formalized then the entire personality of the character has also been decided. It is a complex process.

Adding a second word to a name complicates everything, because now you must consider both names on their own, as well as togeather. All the new possible combinations of occurrences of this name in both visual and audio context, and all the different colors and flavors of impression that such things might impart. Every one of them must be considered, and checked.

The result is making a new name adds a permanent character to your available video game characters, you go through this effort, and you reuse those names over the years and decades spanning many different games.

I do not want to go through the hassle of making a two word name to try out a game, and i tend to think the developers, clearly do not realize just how important names are, or they would not have created such a system to start with, throwing into doubt the quality of the entire rest of the game as well.

Males are uncommon and will usually "battle" to become a Nunh, basically whatever Male is considered the strongest gets to be the sole breeder for the clan. Its fairly rare for a Nunh to be an actual leader of their own clan outside a few examples. Each tribe of seekers varies from clan to clan, but most are matriarchal, and most have a breeder.

The Males we see are supposed to be those who either, wandered to form their own clan, or were exiled for some reason. Its canon that most males stay at home and live simpler lives.

If you've been playing forever and frequently then you should have a ton of gil since the economy was far different back then and there weren't as many gil sinks so you naturally save money easier. But today the average new player is poor as shit since the economy went to shit for sellers and there's more gil sinks thrown at players early on since glamour is now a early level thing instead of level 50+ and players are pimping out apartments.

Lemme post a copypasta for you I saved from last thread when some moron said nu-SAM was better
Old SAM could have any amount of skill speed and it would function perfectly. New SAM literally has to have one of 2-3 EXACT GCD speeds or it literally, not figuratively, LITERALLY does not function properly. Hagakure being a DPS gain and a very minor loss to use with 2 sens meant you could freely use it to line up your rotation properly so that you always had 1 sen when you needed to reapply your DoT or 3 sens when you needed to shit out a midare during a burst phase. NuSAM's design is completely nonfunctional because losing uptime or not having an exact specific GCD speed, or clipping your GCD by more than fractions of a second causes your DoT to not line up with when you'll have one sen. On top of that, they added Tsubame Gaeshi which exacerbates this issue because now you ALSO need to have 3 sens when Tsubame is up. Ironically adding Hagakure back to the game (for real and not as a shitty useless skill you only use begrudgingly during downtime) would completely fix both these issues as the potency buffs to midare would make it much less of an opportunity cost to early Hagakure. Also on top of this, in Stormblood the thing that made SAM remotely usable in spite of being the worst DPS objectively was that unlike a lot of other DPS, it didn't care that much about its big dick hit critting because its DPS was spread out relatively evenly across all its skills. Now, if your midare doesn't crit you might as well kill yourself because even getting PERFECT luck with midare crits barely puts you above machinist. Seriously look at this shit in pic related.

we know that the start of Stormblood is still five years after the Calamity. We don't spend extended periods of time ANYWHERE. Since Stormblood was probably like three months it's probably hitting the first year soon.

It's likely they'll still retain their memories, and if their spirit gets killed they'll just turn into a vegetable on the source probably. Thancred will probably still know how to use a gunblade but up to the writers to determine if he loses any skill due to "muscle memory" or the like or if he can just keep going fine. At best they'll just wake up with a stiff back from being bedridden for a short while but we also don't know how Yoshida and Koji are going to write in the continuation of this storyline.

There's a chance they'll find a way to throw open the gates to the First to normal adventurers and bridge the gap between worlds without a rejoining. Something something economic prosperity and whatever and it might combine the bodies.

It's really open ended right now as to what will happen, but for now this is the state of things. Time has not passed on the source and the cast has suffered an extremely realistic and lengthy dream sequence with consequences. Even Emet has acknowledged that the WoL is the only person to have managed to transfer a whole body cross realm that he wasn't even capable of doing.

Why are they "trapped" in the First, you literally have all the time in the world to find a solution because they're just gonna de-age back to their original bodies even if it takes thirty years. I did, for about a month.
I actually really enjoyed what I played.
This was back in June, and I was rushing through the MSQ to be ready for ShadowBringers.
I ended up stopping just a short ways into Stormblood.
I just got burnt out. The end of Heavensward was so fucking amazing, and the beginning of Stormblood was so. very. slow.
It was when I realized I spent about 200 hours playing that game and that game only, and I still had about 100 more hours to reach the end of the content up to that point. It was overwhelming, and I wanted to do something else for a while. But if I did, I felt guilty, both for "abandoning" my guildmates, and for not making the most of my monthly sub.
It just got to a point where I told my guild that I needed a break, so I logged off, suspended my sub, and...just haven't been back since. I may never go back.

It's a good game, and I enjoyed my time with it, and I hold no ill-will towards anyone who plays it (or really, any MMO. I honestly never got the appeal of the genre until I played FFXIV), but it's just not for me. Life's too short, man.

They kinda explain it in Il Mheg when they talk about the potential origin of the pixies. A soul that can't/won't join the Lifestream for whatever reason can become anchored to the physical world instead and become corporeal. Ghost enemies are another example of it.

it does like 500 dps less than the other healers but it has better ogcds that free the other healer up to almost never have to heal, yes, it's objectively worse in numbers than SCH + WHM but unless you're going for a top tier speedkill the difference is negligable and the majority of healers are too stupid to play SCH correctly so I'd rather have them playing AST, the only major issue the job has is its MP costs are way too high

There's also a chance the First spirit bodies fade away and they're forced back to the Source never to return again and it all just feels like a hazy dream to them and only the WoL knows exactly what disaster he prevented.
There's also a chance the First becomes an open bridge between worlds using the Crystal Tower and all manner of people can travel freely between worlds allowing the spirits to return.

We just don't know, but for now the twins are still 16 in a bed comatose. and even more hilarious when people use 2-3 year old art trying to say its current day twins, the amount of COPE is hilarious.

No, every healer is balanced around lucid covering all their upkeep spells + dps and other managain ogcds covering the other costs, except AST has similar costs and needs to use lightspeed for mechanics to even hit that dps level in the first place since it mostly lacks damaging ogcds, the other healers' class specific mana management tools are also just way better than lightspeed in terms of sheer value

It's a matter of fact that playing any ranged dps, or casters not named BLM, is an active detriment to the clear. The numbers exist not to put you down for "being bad" but to make people aware that some jobs are literally just plain bad, regardless of skill level.

A 99th percentile DNC, BRD, or MCH is literally doing as much damage as a 75th percentile SAM or NIN. Even if you're being generous and using lower percentiles, a 50th DNC or RDM brings as much to the table as a 20th (not even 25th) NIN.

Again, it's not to put people down for being bad. They could be 99th DNC for all I care, and that's good for them, but it's simple statistics that they are doing less damage than half the other DPS options out there, and are an active detriment to the clear, as the other 3 dps need to be a higher percentile to compensate for that DNC.

I love this game but I think the world aspect of it is probably the biggest flaw. Zones feel largely unconnected to one another and the world map is not really something you can traverse. The actual playable maps are just tiny little pocket zones inside the actual world you can't go to, and as usual going from one zone to another feels like moving instances.

Including raid buffs given and minus raid buffs received. If one job is far far ahead another in RDPS then that job is simply better and contributes more, full stop. There is no "hurr different jobs do different things." There is literally no reason or benefit to taking a job that does less rDPS.

That's literally what the NN exists for.

I mean a barely above average BLM does as much rDPS as the best RDMs in the world so yeah it's kind of fucking important to make sure people realize how bad job balance is. It will never get fixed if we shove our head in the sand and ignore it.

If you've played any other MMO, it's the same. Don't let enemies cleave, read up on strategies and learn to understand who's the weakest in your party and try to make up for their shortcomings. WAR is extremely forgiving, it was the first class I choose when I started playing.
