A lot of Japanese tabletop games are very small-scale and designed for one-shots at Comiket and shit, but there's a few larger scale ones that have retail versions. The real gimmick is that specialty dice like d10s and d20s aren't common in Japan, so they use six-sided dice for the most part with the occasional weird alternative like playing cards. The system in this context is Kamigakari which is kinda like D&D4e in terms it being very talent-centric, but instead of using d20s it's 2d6. And everyone's an anime character.
