Nintendo has families and kids, and also the gamers who just want their games to be games, and don't care about graphics or cinematic shit. And also their dedicated franchise fan following.
Microsoft is making a shift to the big casuals, their main competitor is going to be google stadia, with stadia streaming vs Xbox Game Pass, which will include streaming as an option as well, I'm sure. Microsoft is also trying to go for an overlapping PC audience and is trying too hard to be a platform for everyone, which was Nintendo's failure with the Wii U. Funnily enough, despite this, Microsoft still has the best value for your money deal with Xbox Game Pass. To bad it is overshadowed by everything else they do wrong.
